$19.00 Dr. Scholls arch supports would be a better way to spend your money as opposed to Good Feet's $1,500 arch supports for basically the same thing. I was fitted for arch supports and a pair of shoes I was told were measured to fit my feet. I was instructed to wear the arch supports and shoes. The first time I wore the shoes Good Feet fit me for on a walk, I developed a black and blue toe nail. I contacted Good Feet. I was told to bring them in and they would provide a half size larger. I drove 40 minutes only to be told it was against Good Feet's policy to return shoes that had been worn. I pointed out that I was instructed to bring the shoes back. As I look back at my experience I would have selected a different arch support company had I known how poor their customer service standards were. read more

The employees were pleasant upon arrival and they got to us pretty quickly, but we decided to ask about pricing before we even started on the fitting. Their pricing should be transparent and clear on their website and it just isn't. We were told to anticipate $450 per pair and we declined to move forward with the appointment. Walking and hiking are vitally important to me, so an attack of plantar fasciitis 9 years ago was a major crisis. These people made a life-changing difference for me. After trying numerous conventional insert with no success, I walked into a Good Feet store resigned to a mobility-impaired future and walked out comfortably and hopefully. After a couple days I was pain-free and making new hiking plans. It was literally that dramatic. The TV ads may seem over-the top, but they describe MY experience with no exaggeration. The inserts were expensive but durable, and worth every penny. When I left them in a hotel a few weeks ago, I was thrown into crisis again, but knew right where to go. Outrageously expensive. After the first 24 hours with their arch supports, my wife was effectively crippled (recovered after she stopped using their products). After about 10 days, my nightly leg cramps, which had been gone for almost a decade, have come back. I think they are not really in the shoe orthotics business . You ask why we'll they have pre made orthotics .They go in the back after you do a foot print on paper and pick whatever number that is for your foot. They do not take into account everyone's foot is different some have shorter leg than others. I was recommended to them and they gave me a pair of trainers that felt like I was walking on a tennis ball. It threw me all off balance and made my back hurt for days. I had to see the chiropractor twice just to get back to normal . Oh the prices are outrageous . They try to sell you all three types with a price of 1200.00 or more that's just crazy . I don't recommend them get molded actual orthotics. That means they actually get a mold of your feet I took all my orthotics back and got a full refund but still I spent almost 600.00 . I'm 57 years old, and I've done fine with supermarket arch supports and heel cups for a long time, but recently I went from sore feet to an acute pain up my shin, into my knee, and occasionally all the way to my hip. In fact, I was having a hard time driving to the store, and literally limped in. The salesman got me into a chair, and started evaluating my situation, measuring my foot, and taking inked impressions. He explained a bit about how the system worked, and gave me a price list as he went to the back of the store to get the right inserts. As others have noted, the prices were, well, substantial, and the full system consists of three sets of inserts, and they're essentially non-returnable. They'll replace them, but you can't return them. Now I'm as skeptical as they come. The more superlatives that are slung in an infomercial, the more red flags it raises for me. But I also know that the right foot support can make all the difference in the world, and that supermarket inserts were not even coming close to doing it for me anymore. So the full program involves three inserts: The hard "strengthening", a less hard "maintenance", and a lighter, softer "relaxing". There is a 16-day program that involves using the strengthening insert only a half hour and the maintenance insert an hour on the first day, working up to the point where you're wearing the strengthening insert for up to 8 hours, 5 days a week, the maintenance once most of the rest of the time, and the relaxing one in your bedroom slippers by the time you've reached the end of the program. The metaphor the salesman used was it's like taking your feet to the gym. Too much, too soon, and you'll be in worse shape than when you started. Now I don't know how closely everyone sticks to the program, but it seems to me that all the 5 star reviews followed the program to some extent, and all the 1 star reviews didn't even buy. I'll be the first to admit that $1200 up front is a hefty price, and it isn't in everyone's budget. But I was one step away from an emergency room visit when I came in, and that's way more expensive than $1200. So if you're just looking for a little bit better than supermarket inserts and heel cups, don't bother coming here. This isn't for you -- yet. And I hope you'll never need it. But if you're in pain from your feet up to your hips, the $1200 here can potentially save you a lot of medical costs, and certainly will save you a lot of pain. The inserts themselves are plastic, and they're meant to go under a cushioning, unstructured pad, which they included at no additional cost. That's the part that will wear-out, and it looks like you could replace them with Oder Eaters, or any other soft, unstructured insole. Your structured inserts should then last five to ten years, so if you consider that, even at 5 years, that's only $200/year, and that's about what I have been spending on Dr. Scholl's "custom" inserts, and extra heel cups -- and that stopped working for me. So all in all, while I hate to part with $1200 at one time, it is an investment in my feet, and it is working. So, yes, it's worth it. I would urge you to read all the reviews with a critical eye. read more

I had no idea what to expect, but I had a hundred dollars left over from payday, and my job had been begging me to get compliant shoes for months. I walked in and John was one of three attendants not busy. Immediately he went through a few questions to start us off "on the right foot" lol. He asked what sort of shoes I needed. He took some prints of my gait-weight so that he could find some gait-correction inserts for some sensible, not-ugly, work compliant shoes. While he was looking through inserts that would match my needs, he left me with a couple YouTube videos to watch, then I took it upon myself to read through the next few steps of his process. We checked my current shoes/pain/balance, then he had me try a total of five inserts in the shoes he had picked out for me to test pain/balance/gait, again. We eventually decided on three pairs of inserts and some work shoes and house shoes. As is suggested to everyone in need of gait-correction, there were inserts for work, play, and rest. The work inserts would live in my work shoes after a break-in period, and the rest inserts would live in my house shoes-- for puttering around the house. The play inserts are supposed to be for being out and about and so should eventually be in shoes that are for shopping and going out to dinner or whatever. Sad news, though! I was not expecting the price tag that John showed me after all of the fitting exercises we did. Nobody walks into a store thinking that shoes, or shoes+inserts, or shoes+inserts+insoles are going to cost $1,881.94!!!!! I spent less on actual orthopedic inserts made by my podiatrist. Needless to say, didn't have the money. John offered a credit application. Didn't get approved. John offered a lease-to-own option. John and I whittled down what I could afford to lease to two pairs of shoes, two insoles, and only two of the three inserts that (hopefully) have yet to correct my plantar fasciitis pain. (It seems to be on the right track.) I am now trying to pay in less than 3 months what I never expected to pay for shoes cumulatively in my life. John took care to bring my attention to the lease stipulation that paying it off in 3 months is what's going to save me from 100%+ interest if I go even a day past that. So that was nice of him. He did a lot of work and spent a lot of time trying to make sure that I don't live in pain that brings me to tears. Neuropathy drove me to try the arch supports that The Good Feet Store has. Plus, I have a case of plantar facitus. I was greeted and fit by Savannah at the store in Tualatin, Oregon. She fitted me and set me up with the three pairs of inserts. I was shocked that each pair was about $500, but I went ahead and purchased them, but I made the mistake of not looking for reviews prior to purchasing. My bad. The reviews were terrible, though most came from stores in other states and many were old. Most reviews criticized the "no refunds" policy. So when I got home and realized I didn't want to keep all three pairs, I thought I'd been screwed, but I went back the next day, talked to Savannah, and she said this store's policy has changed. She reimbursed me for the two pair of inserts I didn't want without a problem, saying her store's policy was "always make the customer happy." Pretty poor experience. This was a complete rip off and feels like they are taking advantage of people in pain. These inserts are absurdly priced and have zero customization. They try and sell you on the "Cadillac" version for nearly $400, for one of THREE sets. Furthermore, if you show hesitation, they bring out the "more affordable" inserts for about half the price. They have NO RETURN POLICY, only the ability to upgrade to the more expensive ones. After four weeks and ZERO CHANGE, the salesman tried to explain that it's because I bought the cheaper pair. I just don't understand why he would even sell me the cheaper ones if he is telling me four weeks later that they're "just not very effective." Go see a real professional and save your money. read more

I have been enjoying my Good Feet arch supports for over 5 years. My original problem was sharp pains in my left foot I when I got up in the morning. I went for the full three-step system, Strengtheners, Maintainers, and Relaxers. I noticed a reduction in pain right away, as soon as I started using the inserts. After about 6 weeks I was able to wear the Strengtheners all the time, and my foot pain was completely gone. I just visited the Tualatin store for a routine check to see how my feet were doing. The salesman, Sean, was the same salesman who sold me my inserts originally, though it was at a different store. He recognized me and was happy that I had stopped in. He checked my inserts and found that one of them was broken. He gave me a new pair without any charge. I am very happy with how my inserts have helped my feet. They were well worth the investment.
