We went to a a concert at the Arlington Music Hall three other day. We attended the sound check, so between that and the concert, we walked across the street for dinner. At 68, I'm pretty well burned out on burgers from about anywhere, so I was pleased to see a Reuben on the menu. I was slightly less pleased to see it in the basket I picked up when our order was ready. I lived in Belgium for a few years a long time ago. The Belge perfected the fried potato and these dark, greasy slices were an insult to that body of work. The same for the sandwich. Where a real Reuben has thin slices of beautifully tender corned beef, this tasted like pan fried pepperoni slices. The whole affair, sandwich and fries were simply laden with grease. I was hungry, so I ate half the sandwich. I shared the other half with my wife as a post concert snack. It got even greasier then. read more

This place brought me back to my college days, with its college bar vibe ( Arlington is a college town!) with food at reasonable prices. It's a self service joint and yet the staff is still rude, especially the white cashier gal. Bread was saturated in fat and inedible. Good music once in a while. This is the 3rd time we've been here. We got there about 10:45 (15 mins early) the manager said they weren't open yet but we were welcome to come in and sit. Huge plus! As always, the chicken fried burger was amazing.....love the crunch! The angry burger is spicy but not unbearable. Husband said his lips were burning but 13 YO ate it all. We went to get some food and have a couple of drinks after a Dallas Wings game and it was a surprisingly positive experience for someone with celiac disease. They had gluten-free buns as an option for all of their sandwiches. They also offered gluten-free french fries, but they are not fried, they are grilled with Flavor and we're pretty good. A little too greasy but good. Overall great attitudes from the staff and a fun divey bar vibe. read more

Great atmosphere inside with good decorations that give this restaurant an identity. The Angry Burger was spicy/hot with a great beef patty but the size of the burger made the bun soggy and inedible towards the end (a problem that was consistent among the lunch group). After our Company Holiday party, we came over here for Round 2 for just drinks and to chill. When I walked in, I liked that they have just a separate room where you can order food if you're not interested in being at the dining area. We obviously wanted the latter so we went in the bar, and I ordered a Coors Draft, which was only $3.25 during Happy Hour! What a steal!!! The bar is pretty nice and spacious and it feels a little vintage. It looks like it's a great party bar for UTA students and I can tell with these great prices. We also ordered fried pickes and mozzarella sticks as apps and those were pretty good as well. My coworker also ordered shots for us and those were also tasty (they were mixed.) You order your food separate from the bar/band area. If you want food you can of course bring it into the main area. I always get mine to-go. Their burgers consistently hit the spot every time. One if my favorite burgers is their "angry burger". The meat is usually cooked to med-well, unless you specify otherwise. This burger definitely has a nice kick to it, the meat is juicy and flavorful, their could have been a little more ghost sauce (I'll ask for more in the side next time). I like my food super spicy, so I'm glad they have this option! They have a little condiment station where you can add extras to your burger. I loaded up on jalapeños, ketchup, and extra lettuce. Their fries are pretty normal, not too greasy, and they taste good! This is a really great place for a well made burger! I will continue to be a regular here! read more

Yet another little hole in the wall we found in this unassuming section of Arlington. We popped into the area for brunch and decided to wander around a little. We happened to park the car next to Grease Monkey and were glad we did. Like the rest of the neighborhood, you wouldn't know to look if you didn't already know it's here. Grease Monkey has a variety of seating from patio to bar top to half and half to tables. The place is actually much bigger than it looks. We didn't eat because we had just had brunch, but people on both sides of us did and the food looked delicious. Drinks were quick, quality and very reasonably priced. It's hard to complain about enjoying a good cheap beer with hot tater tots and chicken tenders on a beautiful afternoon. After 2 or 3 $1 Ziegenbock the tots and tenders really hit the spot. The place is clean. Good music playing. Relatively decent sports stuff on the TV's. It's a great place to kill an hour with friends and enjoy a great afternoon. I got tenders, tossed in the lemon pepper parmesan sauce with tots. I was advised to get tots instead of fries because sometimes the fries sit under a heat lamp for a while, but the tots are cooked per order. I don't know about that. But I know the tots rocked. Well, I have to confess I haven't tried this restaurant yet however my very picky girlfriend went with her husband tonight and asked me to please write a review for them. She's picky about her food and doesn't hesitate to say when she doesn't like something or it's not cooked right. She said there hamburgers were cooked perfectly. And although the fries arrived cold, when she mentioned it to the server...the server said no problem and before they knew it hot fries were back on their table. A good place to eat needs two things. On this day the atmosphere was loud and the burgers were huge and amazing. Given it was college game day and it seems as the older crowd gathered here on this day to cheer on there respective teams the food was good.i did appreciate the toppings being covered and the areas clean as I've visited other restaurants similar and far much worse conditions.
