My husband and I came here for dinner for date night on Saturday. The restaurant itself is not fancy but you could dress up or come casual depending on the occasion. We joined the waitlist which we highly recommend because when we showed up, our table was ready and it looked like a long wait otherwise. Our waitress was nice. I guess she thought my ID was fake though because it was the real ID, so she had the manager come over to double check lol. If she had asked for my husband's ID she would've saw they were the same though. For drinks, I got the winter cosmo and my husband got a glass of the Rouge red wine. They make their own bread and it's 3 types of bread in 1 for their bread basket served with a banana almond butter. It was yummy! We both got a cup of clam chowder as appetizers which was delicious. For dinner I did the crab cake meal with extra rice and my husband got the prime rib with mashed potatoes. Food was delicious and a lot of it! We were too full for dessert but you get complimentary little ice cream cups and I had a couple bites and it was so good. It looked rainbow colored but tasted like mint chocolate chip. Would come back for the food, so good! They also have an attached bar in a separate room that's cool

4.5 stars!!! Great bread, great vibes! Staff was very helpful and friendly. The iceberg salad with the hot honey mustard literally was perfect. 5/5 stars! honestly one of the best, if not the best, salads i've ever had. Got fries and ranch as well, those were 5/5! my boyfriend got the ribs and bbq chicken, said they were good but gave them 4 stars. Highly recommend for late night bites!

Had the Cajun Tuna special and it was delicious! The service was impeccable as well! Would definitely recommend and come back!

We started with naked wings. We had the squash ravioli with shrimp and chicken. This was a very good meal in preparation for our metric century ride on Saturday morning. We didn't have a reservation. However, we scored 2 bar seats before finishing our beer as we waited. This place was hopping busy. The bar staff were very attentive. The salad was okay and we didn't touch the bread.

Passing through for the night and this was recommended to us. The drinks were excellent as was the service Our waitress, Ellie, greeted us with a smile and asked how we were doing. A little conversation is always good We started off with a delicious salad, with crushed bacon, hard boiled egg, iceberg lettuce and tomatoes and cucumber. Plate was cold as was the salad. Their specialty dressing was a bacon. So good I had roasted duck slices with mushroom sauce and stuffed raviolis with mushrooms. Sided with fried green tomatoes. My husband had prime rib, cooked to his perfection with a baked potato and aus jus gravy. Dessert was a complimentary mint strawberry sorbet. Can't say enough about this meal Ambiance was casual.

Visiting a friend here after she recently moved to Staunton and we had never been here before! The decor and vibe were so cozy and cute, the cocktails were really good and the food was amazing. Definitely will be back and recommend the oysters as an appetizer. The server was sweet too!

BLUF: Great food, expect a wait time, be patient. Food (4/5): Great food and drinks. Cajun Chicken Fettuccini (chicken breast grilled with Cajun spices & served on a bed of fettuccini with a sun-dried tomato mushroom cream sauce) $21 - absolutely delicious. I won on "who picked the better meal" that night. I was SO full after eating half of it. I ended up eating it for lunch the next day. But that ENTIRE morning, I was just thinking about eating it for lunch. It's mouth-wateringly good. A MUST HERE! Prosciutto & Provolone Stuffed Chicken (chicken stuffed with prosciutto ham, provolone, sauteed in a marsala wine sauce with onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Served over angel hair pasta) $23 - it was ok. Wouldn't get again. It was FULL of mushrooms to the point where it felt like we were just taking bites out of a mushroom for dinner. Service (4/5): This place was packed. We had a 40 min wait where we just walked around the building and up the little bridge area. You get a pager that buzzes when it's your turn, so you can't go far, but you can still get your legs moving. The place inside was PACKED with people, so service was obviously slow. We played about 8 games of Uno (I won 7/8 games) in between ordering and getting our dinner. Our waitress was very sweet and ended up giving us free ice cream at the end! I'm not sure if it was because we were playing Uno while waiting instead of complaining that it was taking too long, or because of the long wait and it was an apology? We're still unsure, but we're chalking it up to us being the fun table that didn't complain and distracted ourselves while we waited for the food to arrive. Ambiance (4/5): It's definitely a vibe. It reminds me of cracker barrel mixed with a dark old-timey tavern. TLDR: AMAZING Cajun Chicken Fettuccini. Great drinks. PACKED with people.

Enjoyed my single dining at The Mill Street. Friendly service. Enjoyed Peel & Eat Steamed Shrimp with choice of side, and a House Salad. Complimentary dinner rolls with strawberry butter spread. Washed down with a nicely chilled martini. Decor is dark like an old-style steakhouse with lots of nooks for private dining. Private parking lot. Now open every day. Next time I'll try the rack of ribs, highly recommended. Gripe: I would prefer crusty bread rather than the dinner rolls Will return

Bring an appetite and leave your belt in the truck! I ordered the St. Louis Combo and it did not disappoint. There was enough food on this plate for two full meals! The combination pork and beef ribs were cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw were a great addition to the almost cartoonish size dish. The service here was amazing and I was seated almost as soon as I walked in. I would recommend that you get there at 5 for a table because this place fills up quick! My server was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of my questions without hesitation. I also loved the renovated mill. It was clean and well maintained. 10/10 - would recommend

I just cannot ... the food, the service, the atmosphere... it was just all absolutely perfect! A hidden gem, 100 percent!!!!!! Terra was our waitress, and she was an absolute gem on her own! We're from Northern Virginia , and you better believe, I will drive down here just for this restaurant!

We decided on the Green Room because we had not been there in a long time. We were very happy with the menu selections of appetizers, sandwiches and salads. They have an impressive wine and beer selection, sodas and water too. Their outside setup is very nice with tents for shade, comfortable plastic chairs with cup holders and fake grass a little ambience. The service was a little slow at first but then were very attentive and helpful. The inside is immaculate and the bathroom was very clean (always a plus and positive sign). We got the chips and onion dip to start which were yummy! Then we got a Turkey sandwich and a club sandwich. Both were delicious and stuffed full, we could only eat half. We got a coke and a Veil Brewing Co. IPA to drink. The Veil is one of the best brewing companies on the East Coast and not easy to find outside of Richmond, VA. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch experience here!! Great job!!

We stopped in Thursday February 5, 2026. The cozy space, complete with a locally painted on the wall, gives it a warm, welcoming feel. In speaking with the matrade we learned the name of the restaurant comes from the Native American word that has become Shenandoah. After 20 years in business it's clear this place has deep local roots. The staff was friendly and attentive. Kyle, our waiter, did a great job and worked seamlessly with his teammates to make the experience memorable. We started with cocktails -- my wife had the Sage Advice and I had a classic Manhattan. Proper cocktails for sure! The crème brûléed cornbread and sweet potato bisque were standout starters. Probably could have stopped eating after those starters...For mains, my wife loved the pork loin and I enjoyed the pan-seared trout. We finished with the banana mousse, which was absolutely amazing! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're passing through Staunton. definitely worth the stop.

The cocktail and mocktails were flavorful and well priced. Our waiter was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu, town and ingredients. We started with the Chicken Liver pate. This was well prepared, although I hate when a restaurant provides an odd number of toasts for two people. We asked for an extra piece and thought it was funny that they gave us exactly one. FYI- it comes with several accoutrements which were tasty, but the mustard was really the most satisfying. My wife had the brisket, which I would call a must have. Fantastic Asian spices, fried rice ball and Kimchi. Just an explosion of flavors. I was glad she shared. (This is uncommon) I had the pork chop and it was really pretty. Unfortunately, it lacked flavor and I had to carve off the fat which made up about 1/3rd of the chop. The bone was the other third...so it turned out to be a thick but modest cut. That said, it was on a lovely bed of mash and some of the best blue and white carrots I ever had. We finished with the carrot cake. (All of the desserts are made onsite.) which we learned was gluten free. Honestly if it was marked GF I wouldn't have ordered it. Anyway, when it arrived I thought we received the wrong thing. It looked like a decorative cliff bar. Once we took a bite we were blown away by the flavors and texture. It was delicious. Such a great experience. We were near the kitchen, so we got to see the head chef get orders out. There were some highs and lows, but the overall experience was really nice.
