    Sous vide filet mignon

What a wonderful discovery! We had an amazing meal here today, couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly. Came with my wife & my mother on a little getaway to Florence. It's a fun location in the basement underneath the playhouse, feels like a a speakeasy. I had the sous vide filet mignon, & it was the best steak I've had in years. The presentation was beautiful, the steak was tender and perfect. Truly an elevated meal. Everyone else loved their meals as well. If I lived nearby this would be a go-to for a special meal, you'll be glad you visited!

Interesting combination of flavors. Love the pork belly in the soup and the quail pappardelle. Very nice service. A great experience overall!

Exquisite Italian cuisine! The antipasti was nearly orgasmic~ Burrata. The fish of the day was mouth watering.

Service, as expected of a restautant of this caliber, was perfect. Andrew was attentive, polite, humorous and knowledgeable about the food and restaurant. The Ambiance was, to us, romantic, subtle, and beautiful. There is some din as one reviewer posted but less than the noise level of other restaurants...it did not affect our experience at all. The rabbit and duck selections were just outstanding in both presentation and delectability. We choose scallops as our appetizer and oh my. Perfect! We chose a Ponzi pinot grigio as our wine and we're very happy with it. All in all...A+++ in every aspect. The manager, Gayle was spot on attentive, warm, and genuine. She is a very knowledgeable and delightful woman and added much to the overall experience. Their executive chef, Ben, certainly knows his stuff. We made a point to stop and compliment him and his sous chef Matt. The pastry chef Sean, made an incredible Panna Cotta with caramel & candied hazelnuts for dessert. I forgot my name for a bit! Wow....it was delicious. It was also enjoyable seeing them do their magic in the semi open kitchen. Next time, we are going to sit at the bar and have some fun there and try some fancy drinks We are retired flights attendants for Pan Am and were lucky enough to travel the world and experience a wonderful assortment of great foods over 35 years. We can't say that we ever enjoyed anything better than this in all those years of travel. We'll be back for sure. The Green Room is a tremendous positive addition to the other fine restaurants here in Florence. You should go. If you're budget is tight, then save the experience for a special event and it will be well worth it. Hats off, Green Room Crew....very well done. Gary n Cyndie...basking in happiness.

The wife and I visited The Green Room for the first time and experienced our best dining experience since moving to Florence four years ago. Five stars for the cuisine, service and ambience. We started with the Seared Scallop appetizer. Our waitress suggested we split it and would serve us two scallops each vs the usual three per order. Nice call. The scallops were served on a lobster bisque sauce. Very nice. For entrees my wife had the Sous Vide Filet Mignon with roasted garlic potato croquettes, fried leeks, candied seasonal mushrooms and wilted spinach. Perfect medium rare. This dish was a home run in my book. Loved the potato croquettes! Crunchy in the outside, soft within. As a lover of perfectly cooked rabbit (I had faith it would be!) I got the Braised Rabbit Pappardelle! The rabbit was perfectly braised and paired well with the al dente pasta. Another home run! Our only disappointment came when our waitress informed us that the Tiramisu hadn't set in time for service. We ordered the Panna Cotta with seasonal berries. It was delicious. The wine list had a good variety of domestic and imported wines. They have a full bar which would be nice to enjoy an appetizer or two with a cocktail. We were surprised that, for a Saturday night it wasn't that busy. I know it's the off season but this restaurant is head and shoulders above any when it comes to a fine dining experience at reasonable prices.

This was an excellent dining experience! From the warm and welcome greeting to the final moment, we were treated like royalty and the service was very attentive. We've been several times and the dining experience is always delicious and gourmet. This is one of the few 5 Star experiences in Florenece, OR. The dinner was beautifully presented and tasted amazing? Their specialty cocktails are unique and tasty! The ambiance is casual elegance! We highly recommend you enjoy it.

The food is great and the chef is very artful. Elevated to fine dining, the restaurant has struggled with service and consequently staffing.

Honestly, you can choose from any number of places in the Old Town area in Florence. But if you…read morefancy a fabulous burger, other great food options, or maybe a cold craft beer, then Beachcomber might just be your spot. One thing to bear in mind is that this is still a BAR: that means no one under the age of 21 may cross the threshold. But, if weather allows, anyone of any age can sit outside. Beachcomber has several picnic tables set up, a few with umbrellas as they extended seating to the street, and that makes for a comfortable dining option in fair weather. There are a number of constant taps as well as seasonal/rotated local offerings. If you're an Untappd user, like me, then you can even check their beer options on the app ahead of time, or sign in while you're there so you can nerd out whilst enjoying your beer. I'm a sucker for anything malty, and when in a phenomenal beer-producing area like the PNW, then you will have plenty of Oregon/Washington choices. Fresh-hopped beer hits different when you're near the source. The burgers dot the menu, but do not miss the onion rings. These things are like beer-battered life preservers, so you probably will want to share because it's a HUGE pile of food. We've had burgers & other sammiches, but this past time I dove in for the highlighted Green Donkey. Well, 'we' dove in, because it's another enormous portion and sharing was the smart play. A marriage of beef & beans smothered in their queso and guac makes for a fantastic (albeit filling) lunch. I washed that down with a Pineapple Mana Wheat from Maui Brewing, a gently-hopped, light-bodied ale with that fruity finish. OK, so it's not 'local' but it is 'seasonal' and it's a great glass of bier. Service inside or out is quick and friendly, and they'll always offer a suggestion to fit your food or beer palate. I love doing local and Beachcomber represents that local anchor that is befitting of anyplace that has survived over three decades. You're on your own for parking, but there is a public lot a block or so away, plus you get a chance to window shop along the way. Beachcomber is 100% worth the stop, even if it's just to get off your feet, but enjoy the fare as well.

We sat there waiting to be acknowledged for ten minutes (we kept track) before getting up and leaving. Ended up at another place down the street instead. Multiple staff members walked by us, looked at us, and kept going instead of even acknowledging us. No menus, no water, nothing. We were starving and couldn't wait around for poor service to drag their feet so we left. The place was also filthy. It was sticky, dirty, and smelled like old cigarettes. I'm fairly certain someone started smoking while we were there because the smell got stronger out of nowhere. Bathrooms were dingy and graffitied. Bar full of what looked like regulars. The food I did see (some kind of soup, maybe?) looked greasy and clumpy. Avoid if you value your time and health!

We got menus quickly and were able to place our orders within ten minutes of arriving, a huge improvement from the last place! I ordered the bacon avocado burger with fries and my friend got the patty melt with coleslaw. Our food arrived about 10-15 minutes after ordering and it looked so good! My burger was cooked well and the fries were delicious. The burger was pretty basic and didn't blow me away, but it hit the spot. The patty melt was also great and my friend ate all of it. It was all great! The restaurant space was clean and had plenty of space to move around. It smelled good too, like garlic and butter. The bathrooms were single-person and gender-neutral which I appreciated. There is plenty of street parking so you shouldn't have a problem finding a place to park to get here. All in all I enjoyed this spot! The food was good, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly. Would go back!

The atmosphere is also very unique, with all of the firefighter memorabilia, and pub style. But I've never had bad service here and I've been coming back for the better part of 20 years.
