And although there isn't much competition around here, I would still say that this restaurant is worth a stop. The staff are all super friendly. The view of the lake is great. And the food is good. I got the breakfast wrap, which has a healthy portion of eggs and sauteed veggies. It tastes phenomenal and I would most certainly get it again. I had mine with fruit, which was fresh, but having tried the potatoes, I think that's the way to go! The only note is that they do put the salsa in the wrap, and so it does tend to leak out the bottom. The rest of the table got the salmon lox which looked phenomenal. Large portions of smoked salmon. The scrambled eggs are fluffy. And the onions and capers add really nice acidity. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so unfortunately I can't speak to their drinks too well.

It reminded me a lot of other fruit soft serve places I really like and it tasted sweet but not overly so. Yum! Update re: baking mixes purchased…read more We have now tried and finished all the mixes that were purchased -- as follows: - blueberry chai hot cereal mix -- daughter purchased for Mom -- nice selection of ingredients -- prepared 'as is', without any additions of fruits, berries, or the like -- nice 'delicate' aroma, flavourful, and tasty -- she sure enjoyed it. - buttermilk pancake / waffle mix -- used for pancakes only -- prepared without any additions -- pancakes were light, fluffy, and sure good tasting -- 'the' best prepared product of its kind ever tasted -- much-enjoyed. - milk chocolate fudge brownie mix -- resulting brownies 'sweet & rich' -- very flavourful, and tasty. - plain scone mix -- prepared 'as is', without any additions -- scones light, fluffy, with a 'delicate' flavour -- tasty, and much-enjoyed. The service was pretty proficient as well, where they use a beeper system to call customers from their tables. Although, they do call your name sometimes too. This business is a hotspot for special events as well with a bulletin board in the back telling you what is happening. The gentleman asked if I wanted any samples and I got to try 6 different flavours before the purchase. I really liked how he gave me a big one scoop ($4.25 for this) , and it looked full on my cup. Even the customer, who walked out the store before me, got a big single scoop on his cone too. This place is a must try when you're in Harrison! The dining area was uncomfortably cold, to the point where it detracted from any ability to relax or enjoy a meal. Patrons should not have to keep their coats on indoors to endure a restaurant experience. This alone signals a lack of basic consideration for customer comfort. More troubling, however, was the emotional temperature of the establishment. The service was distant, indifferent, and unwelcoming. There was no warmth, no attentiveness, and no sense that customers were valued. Interactions felt transactional at best and dismissive at worst. Hospitality is not merely about food; it is about atmosphere, care, and respect--none of which were present here. A restaurant situated by a lake should evoke comfort, warmth, and hospitality. Instead, Lakeside Restaurant felt sterile, uninviting, and inhospitable. I left feeling unwelcome and eager to be anywhere else. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming dining experience.
