I can't believe I haven't been coming here for years and just discovering this place this year…read more This place is a great family farm for anybody of all ages. Most of the things here are free. Pumpkins that you can pick are at very reasonable prices. Food and drinks are at reasonable prices too as well as other merchandise and other fall related things that go on here. They had a corn maze that I did not check out at all. Visiting the animals was probably one of my favorite things at the farm. It's not jam-packed like a lot of the popular locations. The only downside I would say was that the staff is a little bit untrained especially when it comes to money handling since the one cashier when I was paying for pumpkins didn't know how to count cash even though I gave him exact change. Overall, you should not pass up on this place at all. 4.5 Stars

Dollinger Family Farm does not charge admissions. We have visited for two consecutive years and we…read morewould spend about two hours each time. They have a huge play area with wooden structures such as a school bus, fire truck, and castle. My young girls enjoyed the pretend play on the vehicles and going on the slides. There is also a section with huge stacks that are perfect for climbing and taking group pictures. Some things to take note of: 1) There is a section with plenty of port-a-potties. We were there in the morning so the port-a-potties were all relatively clean and unused. 2) The food section isn't that big but service is quick. We tried the cheese pizza, poor boy, pork chop on a stick, cheeseburger, and donuts. We would definitely order the poor boy, a cube steak sandwich, and pork chop again. They did an excellent job with grilling the meats and both had a nice sear while retaining moisture. The donuts were mini-size and came in baker's dozen so it was easy for our young girls to dig in.

Their website is very informative so you know exactly what to expect once you arrive. The grounds are kept clean and there is plenty to see and do. Food options are slim during the week compared to the weekend, however, this is expected since more people are likely to visit on a Saturday or Sunday. They have promo codes if you purchases tkts online vs when you get there. Pricing is fair compared to other farms with the same concept. Depending on the season - Kuipers also has apple picking, pumpkin picking and a sunflower fest. This is a great family friendly place with activities for everyone to enjoy.

Before you start picking, they let you know what apples are in season. You can also buy apples already bagged, apple sweets like donuts, ciders and even flights. They had some live music going on too. If you cross the street, you can visit the other side of the farm. It was also $25 to get in. You can feed farm animals for 25 cents, watch goats, pigs, and ducks race, enjoy field games, live music, food trucks, and walk around with drinks. You can also get a stamp to return if you need to leave that area.

The cows are my favorite! I wish I could give this place a 5 star but this last visit we lost 2 kids in our group because the hay stacks have two exits. I wish they could block one side off. Also, a SOBER, careful adult in our group almost got plowed in the head with one of those hammers from the strong man game while she was walking by a man doing it. They really should put a staff member there AND put a fence around it. Those adults having fun aren't looking around every time they swing... it's a recipe for disaster.

How to get your money's worth: watch the cover band, see the animals, do the maze, ride some rides How to spend more money: booze, food, activities for the kids, pumpkins Bathrooms are Porta potties. People need to watch their children in the crowds. Other than that, it is a decent place to spend a couple of hours.

Numerous times, I have caught them overcharging and quoting weights that were larger than what it was. I stopped going to their questionable integrity. Thankfully, there are many other farmers in the area that I prefer to support. One of them is certified organic.

I have gone here for over 20 years, and during most visits I have not been treated well. The ladies have been unhelpful, or closed-mouthed when answering my questions, and just simply unfriendly. Perhaps they are just over-worked or tired. At least that's how I justified their off-handed treatment of me, and my continued patronage over the years. So I put up with a fleeting moment of mistreatment. But today, that same old bad attitude appeared after I asked a simple question during my visit, that could've been answered more directly & easily. I questioned myself why do I even bother, especially when their produce isn't superior to other places I can go, to get farm fresh produce. There are more farmer's markets around, such as McDonald's Farm at Knoch Knolls Park in Naperville. Maybe my visits were wrapped in (wannabe) nostalgia, or due to convenience of location. Whatever, today I hit the top of my tolerance for their rude-ish treatment. This decision should have been made after an earlier visit this summer when a cashier looked at me crazy because I did not leave an electronically-produced request for a tip. For what?? Standing there just doing your job ringing up an order??? And lastly, their produce isn't the tastiest, and is really overpriced in comparison to other places around. I guess I kind of felt sorry & wanted to support the place. But no more. I am finally done. Fed up and moving on. Mayneland Farm is no longer an option for me.
