We are all done eating, glasses are dry and she has not checked on us again. if there was something wrong with our meal, there was no chance to correct it. Food was good. I'll be the first to say that I usually won't go to any Green Turtle locations at all. I had a bad experience a while ago and was just turned off ever since. However, one of my friends comes here all the time and this is where he said to meet him for drinks so hey there I was lol. Luckily for me, I was presently surprised. We were greeted and served by Taylor. He was super friendly and efficient. He made and served good drinks and recommended menu items. My friend had 3 vodka and pineapple juices. They were under $5 each and he said they were good. I had the fruity spiked half and half shown in the picture. It was good but I couldn't really enjoy it because of the recycled paper straws. They're awful and they fall apart fast. For food we both were in the mood for buffalo chicken. I had the sandwich and he had the tenders. Both decent. It took about 15 for the soup to come out and I had to ask a second bartender to get it. They said they were out of clean silverware so they gave me plastic wear in a bag. When I was done I had to flag down a bartender to order crap cakes that were just ok. The bartender never took my dirty soup dishes away. The music was kinda loud but right at 10pm they cranked the music way up. Why? What is the reason for that? There was no way anyone could hold a conversation. It was like it was a dance club. Great place for a quick drink and bite to eat after a long day at work. I am only rating the bar area since it is where I always seem to go. Met a friend there recently for happy hour. They have a pretty good selection of beer on tap and I love the new pub fries that they have added to the menu, they had a decent amount of bacon on them. I sat at the bar which had plenty of seating available and the service was very good. The bar tender checked on me frequently made sure I was well taken care of. I come to this location frequently during the week because it's convenient to home and I always have a good experience. I recommend it as a place to meet friends since happy hour the specials are competitively priced. If you are a fan of burgers and pub fare you will enjoy it. read more

Ok, let's start with we were celebrating a birthday in their outside area. By the time I arrive my table has already ordered their apps and entrees. It took at least 20 mins to flag down a waitress to order a drink. I decided to order my meal at the same time. Surprisingly, my meal came before my friend who had ordered wings. In fact after about an hour and no wings she finally caught the attention of the waitress who appeared a bit clueless and perhaps overwhelmed. However, she still didn't appear to be interested in checking on why the wings were taking so long. She finally had to go in and find a manger who finally got her the wings and comped them. The other couple at the table had their burger prepared incorrectly and they couldn't seem to remember they asked for no bacon. Well, at this point I'm feeling pretty lucky that my shrimp salad was at least correct and served in a timely manner. The raspberry lemonade was also pretty tasty with fresh raspberries floating throughout. When it was time for the bill I had to request it. Unlike most servers who usually come over and ask if you want anything else before they present the bill, our server had to once again be flagged down. Once this was done it took another 30 mins to get the bill. So, I'm standing next to the table and speaking to my friend and at some point the waitress brings the check and sits on someone's dirty plate! Now I say to myself " that can't possibly be my bill on that dirty plate". Well people it was my bill! When I asked the waitress if she actually placed my bill on someones dirty plate she kind of looked at me as if she was shocked I asked the question and said "yes, I guess I did". I had to actually point out to her how unsanitary and rude that was. She issued a forced apology and said she would get a clean bill cover. Greene Turtle you've got to do better with training your employees. Just an aside, as I said earlier we were outside. I don't smoke and most of the the people at the party aren't smokers. With that said as the evening wore on I found myself absorbing second hand smoke. It would appear this is the area where staff take their smoke breaks and there was a constant flow of smokers throughout the evening. At one point there were at least 5-6 people taking a smoke break. This is something to take into consideration if you would like to eat outside and will be bothered by the smoke. read more

Do not give this establishment your business. You will not receive a quality experience. From food, to service, to atmosphere, this was one of the most eggregiously disappointing dining experiences of my Yelp career. Greene Turtle was offering a Ravens football breakfast buffet. The restaurant was grossly understaffed with servers scuffling about angry and unhelpful. The buffet consisted of a decidedly small range of options all of which were decidedly mediocre. The sausages were wet and flavorless. The eggs were soggy and tasted like nothing. No effort to season them was made whatsoever. The tater tots were crisp and well executed. There was no fresh option or balance to the buffet. The buffet line, like the ouroboros, did not ever end because the kitchen was understaffed and could not keep up with the demand. The mimosas were watery and tasted like dollar store orange juice without alcohol. Our server was rude and patently unhelpful. The other patrons were rude about the buffet line. The ownership of this Greene Turtle made a grave miscalculation despite knowing how many people were attending this event on Facebook. I implore you not to give them your business. They are blatantly unconcerned with the execution of their food and the satisfaction of their clientele. I suspect they won't be open much longer. read more

Once I sat it took twenty minutes for me to get service , the hostess passed by I stopped her and asked who was assigned to my table someone came to visit five minutes later . If it had not been for my friend visiting from Germany (military ) I would have left the establishment the wait for the food the wait for our order to be taken . Matt is my server he wasn't the best he didn't greet the table in the typical time it takes , he didn't really check on us . So wait...... This was the BEST experience that I have experienced with customer service. Me and my co-worker decided to come for Teachers appreciation week. They had a deal and stopped thru! Normally when something is free or a discount is involved the service normally sucks but this was one hell of an awesome experience. Greg was our waiter and he went ABOVE and BEYOND with everything! My food was delicious, he came and checked on us soon much. He was so good that everyone in our area was satisfied. He got so many compliments and he just brought so much positive energy to the atmosphere. I was also happy that they were playing the NBA playoffs on the TV. 9/11/14 THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and my RAVENS are playing the Steelers. Decided to meet some friends to watch some of the game for the night. This location is across the street from Owings Mills Mall in the restaurant park area. There is plenty of parking since there are about 3 or 4 restaurants in that area. Of course the place is packed because they have the best screens to watch the games throughout the place. My friends already had seats so I didn't have to wait or try to find a spot in the already packed place. It was a great atmosphere for the great football rivalry game. There were mostly Ravens fan there but a few Steelers fan but it was all good fun. As we watched the game I got the QB punch and the pub fries. The fries were delicious. Great football food. It is over a pound of French fries cooked to a golden brown, piled high and smothered in warm queso sauce, chopped bacon and fresh scallions. Served with our Cajun Ranch sauce on the side. The QB punch was quite tasty. Being that it was pretty busy the waitress took a while to get to us and get our orders us throughout the evening, but she was really friendly and helpful when it came to asking her opinion about items on the menu. She was very knowledgeably. Had a great time before leaving at half time to watch the rest of the game home. Always fun to watch the game with other fans if you can't be at the game live. read more

Just average. I called in for a carryout order and the person who answered didn't know how to take a carryout order, so she had to get her manager before my order could be processed. This wasn't a huge deal for me in terms of the wait, but it just doesn't make sense management-wise to have someone answer the phone who doesn't know how to process carryout orders. I ordered a chicken caesar salad wrap with sweet potato fries. It's one of the lower cal items on the menu, but it still comes in at 600+. (This place does not offer much in way of low-cal healthy fare.) The wrap normally comes with kettle chips, but I opted for the sweet potato fries, which I believe were a dollar or two extra. This brought my lunch to about $13.00, which is kind of high, considering I can get a wrap full of organic, fresh ingredients at another cafe in the area for around $10.00, so my order with Greene Turtle ranked pretty low on the value scale. The wrap I received from Greene Turtle was, unfortunately, really heavy on the dressing, light on the lettuce, and full of very oily chicken. I ate half of the wrap and the sweet potato fries (which were a little bland) before tossing the other half of the wrap out. As for the positives, the staff was very friendly when I walked in. The hostesses greeted me immediately, and actually seemed happy, which was nice. :) Also the takeout order was very carefully packaged, and they provided lots of the necessary extras that sometimes other places forget to include, which was also great (fork, knife, napkins, condiments, etc.). I went to the roof top last night and will never go to this location ever again. I hadn't been in awhile but decided to enjoy the weather. I stood with a friend at the entrance waiting to be seated for 10 minutes, while numerous staff members walked by and no one bothered to say anything to us. Finally we sat ourselves at an empty table. I noticed there was what appeared to be buffet type food in the corner. I've been to other establishments were they offer limited amount of free food to customers on certain nights. So, after placing my order with a waitress, I decided to check it out. Literally, chips, dip, pretzel bites and sliders. There was no sign, no one standing there, nothing. Got a couple chips and some bites. Apparently, it was for a private party. But again, there were no signs and no indication that anything private was happening as the rooftop was full of regular people who it was obvious did not know each other. As I walk away I hear someone say excuse me. I turn around. This man, who was working there, says that's for a private party. I say, oh I didn't know there was no sign. He very loudly and rudely says did you ask and snatches the plate out of my hand. I decide to cancel my order and leave. No problem with it not being for a private party, but the rudeness and the hostile confrontation was totally unprofessional. Additional staff made excuses for this person, by saying they were upset I ate their food, which I had not.
