I'm so excited that we discovered Adelaide yesterday when we were at the Auberge resort in Del Mar. Everything about this restaurant is spectacular along with the beautiful views and phenomenal service. Our waiter Kyle looks so much like Tom Selleck and he's cuter and younger. Haha. The hamachi is intensely flavored with a touch of citrus. I also liked the scallops, they were so tender and delicious! I can't wait to come back here and have dinner and enjoy the view!

We had dinner here for our 20 year wedding anniversary. Amazing food, along with the ambience and service We will definitely be back. We got lucky with it being on their "Latin Night" with great live music and salsa dancing!

Food was great. Wow the cheese and meat board was a big hit! Shrimp and pasta had the most amazing flavors from the various tomatoes and fresh herbs. Special of the day was bass and it was very, very good. Chardonnay was tasty and not too expensive. Nicole was so friendly and very attentive. Lovely dining area and live Latin music made the evening memorable.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Adelaide before having to depart. The venue is upscale, casual with a covered patio so that you are outside yet completely shaded and overlooks the pool area. I tried their Green juice.... Kale Cucumber Ginger Apple Juice. It was a bit sweet so if I got it again, I'd ask if they could cut back on the apple as I think that is what was making it so sweet. Otherwise, delightful and made me feel like I was being "good" with the kale, ginger and cucumber first thing in the morning. Their avocado toast is loaded with avocado! Yum!! And the presentation was beautiful. I opted to add a poached egg which they prepared perfectly! Husband got a normal eggs and sausage breakfast which he enjoyed thoroughly. Really appreciated that they gave us a little carafe of coffee so we didn't have to wait for refills.

The food quality was atrocious--by far the worst I've had in San Diego. The steak was rubbery, and the chicken and fish smelled so bad it made me nauseous. We couldn't eat it. They charged 5$ to split a salad and $2 for ice in a whiskey. For my friend's birthday, they offered a "special dessert" that was laughable--melted marshmallows with two biscuits. Despite having a 6:30 reservation, we left at 10 p.m. without anyone checking on us or attempting to make it right. They tried to add a 20% tip, which we refused. They also didn't refund our $80 steak--only reduced it halfway. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. If you want to waste your money, this is the place

Date of visit: December, 2025 Adelaide is located inside l'Auberge hotel in on Camino Del Mar in Del Mar. We came for brunch and had a nice corner table inside. You can see the ocean in the distance. Decor is contemporary. The waitress was pleasant, service was attentive and food was delivered in a timely manner. The Buddha bowl I ordered (About $24, Dec 2025) was delicious, colorful and a healthy portion. I would dine at Adelaide again. Parking: Free on some nearby streets, paid lot across the street, nearby metered street parking. Helpful?

Adelaide is the restaurant in L'Auberge Hotel in Del Mar. Upon entering the hotel, walk straight and you see this restaurant with views of the pool, the ocean and it's bright modern casual surroundings. Seating indoors or outdoors available. The menu is limited and I would have preferred more French cuisine options, to be consistent with French name of the hotel. The menu offers mostly light southern cal lifestyle choices and the kitchen staff was most accommodating to dietary requests. With only one waitress, it was often a challenge to get attention. Otherwise, service from the restaurant staff was very good to us and my pup...who was always offered a bowl of water. Everything I ordered was delicious and appealing with nice plate presentation. I remember in the 1960's, the half-timbered Del Mar Hotel was on the very site where Auberge Del Mar stands today. There is a traffic light right at the hotel from Camino Del Mar, so the access is easy. There is a handicapped parking space available right before the valet circle. The dining room at Adeleide is located at the rear of the lobby. It overlooks the pool and the ocean in the distance. The decoration is rather anonymous, with beiges predominating everywhere. The dining room opens at 5:00 pm in the evening. The fish of the day was most enjoyable. The wine list at Adeleide Restaurant offered some interesting wines, so I am sure you will find something that will please you. The waitress was pleasant. She knew the menu very well and provided me with all information I needed.

Romantic and gorgeous views of the ocean. My friends were and I were here last night for girls night. We caught Sunset and it was so magical. The views from this restaurant are unmatched. It is still fairly cool to march, so they did turn on the heaters for us and also gave us blankets! So don't let the cold water hold you back from trying this spot. We ordered a number of dishes, starting off with an amazing Focaccia bread, we enjoyed it so much we ordered another round! We ordered a few salads and then our entrees. The Chidori chicken was amazing, juicy and crispy. Our server was superintentive, really informative and very nice! Overall great experience highly recommend it if you're looking for an elegant spot in Del Mar with a great View!

we got bottled still water (i think the bottle said evian) - they also had sparkling (if thats more your style) started off with foccacia (comes with 3 large "blocks" of it) -- very soft, tasted like buttered toast, not rly sure what it came with but it was basically tasted like cream ceviche was delicious! the orangeyness was a nice surprise and i loved the crispy seasoned tortilla chips (also very cute) i ordered the jidori chicken as my main: the greens were pretty bitter but the rest of the meal was absolutely delicious -- crispy chicken skin and caramelized onion mash was also super soft and tasty i did have a little bit of a tough time cutting my chicken with the knife i had ginger lemon was very lemony -- tasted like a lemon ginger shot service is polite but i felt that it was a bit slow. Food also took longer than i expected but that might be because they were getting all the orders for the table out at once

We haven't eaten at the restaurant at the L'auberge in a few years, but what a treat! The service was wonderful and friendly and the food came out hot and delicious. My son's pancakes were so incredibly fluffy and all the eggs we ordered (some sunny side, some scrambled, some fried over hard) were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Bloody Marys also. Their in house bloody mary mix is vegetarian (no anchovies or clam juice) and delicious.

Yikes.... We were the first ones seated at opening at 5p. We didn't get our food until after 6p and no we didn't order at 5:59p. A party of the same size (4) seated at least 10-15 minutes after us got their food first. It was weird. Our server actually said our food was coming out in "four minutes." That is a direct quote. I thought that was pretty impressive he knew the flow of the kitchen. He was waaaaaaaaay off. Daughter A ordered scallops dish. She said "The best thing in here is the peas." Daughter B got the chicken. It was dry. Sigh.... Wife who was sharing the chicken plate with daughter ordered shrimp salad and felt the dressing was drowning the salad. My salmon was good but after waiting nearly an hour it was not enough to save the night and I was just ate for the sake of eating. No joy there which is sad. Dining, especially in a place as nice as Del Mar, and especially during a holiday staycation should be savored not lamented. During the ridiculous wait for our food I could see our server helping other tables but also running drinks to the outside bar in the lobby. Fine, if the server was swamped, was there nobody in the kitchen to run food? Our food was brought out by two ladies that I didn't see at all in the restaurant which was weird. Managers? Our server at the end apologized for the wait and took off the "appetizer." You can't even begin to visualize the giant a$$ air quotes I'm using on "appetizer." It was homemade sourdough bread and butter basically. Promotes itself as a place with views of the ocean but you really have a view of the pool and buildings. One and done

We were lucky enough to get a table by the window, and sitting there with the ocean breeze coming through while watching the sunset was absolutely beautiful. There's just something special about dining right by the beach. The atmosphere is relaxed, the views are incredible, and the whole place has that perfect beach vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. We started with a couple of Mai Tais, and WOW... they were so good! The bartenders were wonderful--friendly, attentive, and clearly know how to make a great drink. And we have to talk about the Hula Pie! The combination of creamy ice cream, rich fudge, and that delicious cookie-style crust was seriously hard to resist. Let's just say we enjoyed every single bite! What we loved most was that it wasn't just about the food or the drinks. It was the whole experience--the ocean right beside us, the breeze, the sunset, and the beautiful surroundings. We didn't order a full meal this time, but that just gives us another reason to come back. Next time, we're definitely trying the food and will keep you posted! Thank you for giving us such a memorable evening. We'll absolutely be back when we're in the area!

Ambience- the location speaks for itself There is beauty everywhere How can you not be in a good mood sitting here in this restaurant? We sat outside by the water fountain/pond I will say now it would have been great to have music but I don't recall hearing any! Food we started with the coconut shrimp I will say these were a little over done to my liking But the sauce and mixture with the coconut was done nicely without being overpowering. Salads we had the Caesar salad- real dressing so heads up if you prefer bottle version. Nice croutons not big portions. Dinner: my husband as always did the filet with jumbo shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and I ordered the Wagu burger. For the record if you go back into any and most of my reviews I order fish and especially on the water in San Diego but I couldn't help but notice the guys burger next to me and well I ordered it. I am so happy I did too!!! So it was one of the best damn burgers I have had in a long long time! Geez was it good My husband's filet was cooked perfectly he loved that it wasn't tiny! The Mashed potatoes seasoned and flavorful! Dessert: I did a crème brûlée- it was good but if I come back it won't be for the crème brûlée! It will be for that beautiful, burger!!! Well done Brigantine!

Despite their over-the-phone assurance prior to that visit that a particular menu item, Crab Stuffed Tiger Shrimp, was available, it was not. I wrote a Yelp review describing our experience that day and quickly got a very nice message (I assumed from management) expressing their desire to make things right but that response was taken down in less than 24 hours before I had a chance to reply. Fast forward to a couple days ago, August 3rd. A much-cherished friend and I had to be in the Del Mar area on 8/3, so a week before, I called them and asked if the stuffed shrimp shown on their menu was available and, if so, were there any time restrictions. The person I spoke to stated that it was available and could be ordered any time we came in. I was so happy to hear that after not being able to get it at the IB location. When we went to the Del Mar location on 8/3 in the afternoon, I tried to order it and was told by the server, who was not at all friendly, that the kitchen was closed until 5:00pm and that we could only order off the Oyster Bar menu. Note that the online hours don't state that the "kitchen" hours are different than the "Oyster Bar" hours. Perhaps that explains why the woman over the phone stated that the stuffed shrimp can be ordered at any time. If this is true, I respectfully suggest they update the hours shown online. Quite disappointing that once again despite reassurances, I was not able to order my favorite thing on the menu that's always available at the La Mesa and downtown San Diego locations (regardless of the time) AND is also on the IB and Del Mar menus. Our server on 8/3 was not the least bit welcoming but everyone else was nice. He came by quickly enough upon us selecting our table but didn't bother to welcome us even or introduce himself and after 15-20 seconds of uncomfortable silence, he finally just asked if we wanted something. To his credit he did bring us what we ordered (except the shrimp of course!) fast enough but after that walked by our table many times and only stopped by once when we flagged him down and once after that to tell us he was leaving and that Gabby would be taking over....maybe hoping that we would close out right then so as not needing to share his tip with her. We were not done yet, so Gabby did take over and she was terrific; and quite a contrast to the original server whose name I never got. I'm a South County resident so not at all likely to return to the Del Mar Brigantine in the future especially knowing the shrimp might not be available. My final comments...and sorry for being so "wordy" here is that the doors facing the racetrack were wide open which let in the very warm and humid air so the ambiance was not comfortable. The restaurant itself is pleasantly clean and beautifully decorated.

I asked what she thought would suit the mood for my solo lunch date, and she immediately raved about the empanada and sangria, so of course I went with her recommendations. The empanada was absolutely phenomenal, and I'm so glad I listened to her! I also enjoyed the two sauces it came with and the salad. It adds a nice touch to the hefty little beef empanada (also packed with flavor!) I also have to mention the ambiance. The seating is so cute, there's plenty of shade, and you're right by the beach. It's giving relaxation, positive vibes, and genuinely great food. Hawaiian reggae is playing and it's definitely a sign to come back because it's my favorite genre. I already know I'll be coming back the next time I visit San Diego because there's so much more I want to try here. The squid ink ravioli is at the top of my list, along with the baby chicken and the chef's choice soup of the day. Bella, thank you for making my afternoon brighter than I anticipated. From a mom who really needed a little break, a delicious meal, and a great conversation with a stranger, I cannot thank you enough. You made my solo lunch date feel extra special.
