Tasty food, busy place. Parking lot can get crazy, they will validate parking if you are going to be there more than the min for free. We lucked out and there wasn't a line to place an order until ten minutes after we did and the place was swamped. We've been here several times and know how to order but it is confusing at first and a bit chaotic at the counter/where to stand/servers scrambling around the same area/pick up drivers looking confused but the chaos is with it as the pizza is awesome. Placed ordered for our table which needed up being five deep dish slices and fountain drinks. Tip - Pounce on a table quickly when u arrive and have someone else order as this place gets bonkers. Took about 15 minutes for our slices to come out. All were hot and tasty. I was the odd ball and got the Popeye, the rest were the meat combo. Everyone enjoyed. If u need a to go container - go back by the line area and ask one of the servers as they are sitting near the food window by the kitchen.

Totally crust fell in love @regentspizzeria The Popeye's Chicago pizza had me spinning in a deep dish dream and that chicken rigatoni pesto? Straight up pasta-tively delicious Every bite = saucy, cheesy, carb-loaded happiness... I'm officially on a pizza my heart kind of mood

Definitely a favorite pizza place. Whenever I visit my best friend in San Diego, I mention going back to Regents. Of course, we finally did after a few years of hiatus. Regents is located right across from UTC shopping and has its own parking lot. If you get it validated, the first hour is free. But of course, when hanging out at Regents, you'll spend a few hours here. They have an extensive beer menu and a pizza slice menu. Instead of ordering both separately, I like to get their combos: I ordered their Combo that has two pizza slices and a beer of my choice. It's not bad! I chose a classic pepperoni and a white sauce pizza to go along with my Hazy IPA. After ordering, they give you a number, and you can choose any open seats from inside and out. The utensils are napkins are a must. These pizza slices are HUGE! Bigger than my hand and definitely bigger than my beer glass. Coming out fresh and hot, these pizzas are delicious and go down well with a beer. The interior is bustling with people (and flies because it gets hot). The servers are back and forth but always doing so with a smile. With the prices and food, nothing beats Regents. I love it here!

...hard to find a pizza joint that cranks out both great pie and crispy wings consistently. regents pizzeria is solid. my only complaint is the small parking lot.

The blonde guy that served me was very nice and helped me figure out what to choose! The inside looks great, bar vibes and outdoor seating as well, normally super busy but today was chill with graduation, a lot of ppl went out for lunch but I wanted to come here. The cluck cluck pizza actually wasn't that good, I'm usually not a fan of chicken on pizza but it was like a savory not buffalo but similar, and the chicken was a little crispy and thin so i liked it more, but not as much as the other options. The salad was great, the ceasar comes with like big bread croutons and the sauce is like citrus zesty, great pairing I got a deep dish artichoke as well, it was reallly good, like top 3- the artichoke isn't too bitter and the cheese pairs really well

Ordered takeout from here for dinner. Lots of people inside eating, and a lot of college kids. I got a few slices instead of a whole pie since it was just for me. The slices are massive! 1 or 2 is definitely enough for one person. The NY slices were really good. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the MooShroom pizza since it was a white pizza. The garlic really shines through in it and the fried onion topping really adds something special. On the Brooklyner slice, they left it in the oven a bit longer so it was a bit hard. Overall though, really good crust without excessive flop. I got one slice of the Popeyes deep dish to try it out. Really solid construction, you definitely don't need a knife and fork to eat this one. Flavor was about average, perhaps a different pizza would've been better. Crust is really thick at the end of the pizza, but has good texture. I'd recommend this place to a friend. Service was really quick and friendly despite the restaurant being packed at dinner time.

My school got us Regents Pizza and had really hyped it up. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet that hype for me. I felt like the meat pizza was a bit dry and salty. I did however like the veggie pizza, it was flavorful and not dry. I would maybe try a pizza with meat and veggies next. The service though, was great and convenient! Maybe next time I'll try to go in person and get a second look before any more opinions lol

Food: i tried both the chicago style pizza and new york style pizzas here and they lived up to their expectations. this is now my favorite pizza spot in san diego so far. it was my first time trying new york style pizzas too! they're crispy but lightweight and flavorful. the chicago pizza on the other hand was huge, layered, and stacked. most of the toppings lay inside the pizza. think of it like a pie! the crust of the pizza was also so good. Pepperoni (NY style) (10/10) - basic choice but very solid! White (NY style) (9.5/10) - really good and different types of cheeses. i liked the spinach and the ricotta cheese really stood out to me. Brooklyner (NY style) (10/10) - has sausage AND pepperoni. really tasty and nice if you like lots of meat Popeye (Chicago style) (10/10) - HUGE and loaded i loved the taste though. there's so many layers of flavor and the crust was nicely made as well Service: They're super helpful and efficient for this popular spot! Ambiance/ It has a very casual and bustling atmosphere type of vibe. It's super chill and nice to sit and grub on some pizza.

One of the better tasting pizza restaurants in the area. The restaurant is pretty spacious with the main dining area as well as a large side dining area. You order at the counter and are given a number to take to your table. Everything else is pretty self serve, including drinks and utensils. We ordered by the slice which is nice as everyone got to choose the pizza they wanted. We ordered the pepperoni, cheese, NY white, NY Dominque pizzas, Caesar salad, truffle fries and pomodoro spaghetti. For desert we had the tiramisu and zeppole. The pizzas and truffle fries were good. Would come back for these again. The only thing we were pretty disappointed about was the zeppole. They didn't really taste like anything. The staff were nice, food came out fairly quickly. However I wish they would have helped us clear some of our dishes to make room for our deserts. We ended up doing it ourselves to another empty table just to make room. Maybe they don't take dishes away unless you leave?

Had catering from here a few times and dined in once as well. Their NY pizzas are delicious and my faves are the White and Party. Crust is thin and crispy. Parking is a little tricky but I think they validated it for me(?). I would definitely order from here again!

Parking lot is small and is paid, but the restaurant validates. The ordering area can get packed and seating can be filled on busy days. We ordered the NY style pizza with one half customized (jalepenos and pepperoni) and the other half the Brooklyner. The crust was thin and crispy which I loved. My fav part of the Brooklyner was the whipped ricotta. The drinks were good as well, as we ordered the Berry Trio cider which was sweet and easy to drink. Overall would come back!

Popular pizza spot amongst college students with it being right next to UCSD. Typically get the Chicago style deep dish when I'm here because I prefer a more doughy pizza. I also got the New York style today and wasn't a big fan of the crust, there was not really any flavor to it. In addition to that, not a fan of the flop, the pizza doesn't hold up well. The crisp and crunch was there, but that's about it. The deep dish on the other hand has great taste and a nice texture to it.

Jon Stewart calls deep dish pizza a casserole...and this pizza purist from NYC agrees...but every five years, I get a hankering for 'casserole'. My fiancé happened to be at Regents and brought home one of their half baked deep dish pizzas. I'll get to that in a second... Imagine telling your kids to set the table for dinner, we're having pizza...and then needing to explain why we need forks and knives... With that said... Regents has their half baked deep dish pizza to go packed down to a science. Reheating directions, packaging, marinara sauce on the side, etc...all of it. My fiancé wasn't kidding when he said 'the pie is heavy'. We weighed it...it weighed in at right around 6 pounds. The pie was massive and satisfied my every 5 year craving. Cheesy, flavorful sauce, thick dough. It's exactly how a casserole should be. I can't wait to go back and try their New York thin crust pizza...you know, real pizza. 5 stars!

How long of a wait should I expect when ordering a whole Deep Dish?

Do they charge for extra ranch sauce?

If you're ordering to go they might but if you're eating there and ask the person that brings you your food, I think they would just be cool about it and help you out.

What's the secret for parking for dinner? Any street parking? Paying $3 was disappointing.

    They validate parking

What is the dine in situation currently? Bar seating available again?

There were a few tables indoors available but i did not see any chairs at the bar. There is also outdoor seating available, looks like there are heaters, but when I went they were not turned on. Hope this helps. :)

Do you deliver to Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines?

If you can wait a couple of hours for your food

Do they sell pizza in slices or just the whole pizza?

They sell it by the slice as well. The slices are huge!

Will the governor's restriction impact your restaurant serving patrons and ability to serve beer and wine?

Yes. It is take out only you are unable to sit and drink alcohol At this time

Can the food be ordered via Uber eats, grubhub, yelp, etc?

    No but they have delivery.

Do they still offer gluten-free crust?

    Yes they do.

Are Chicago style slices available or only New York?

both! the slice prices go up to $5.25 but sooo worth it :)

Does this place have happy hour specials?

No happy hour but they do have some $5 beers

Are you able to walk in and buy slices instead of a whole pizza?

There is a combo deal where you can get 2 slices from the case and a drink or 1 slice, a side salad, and a drink for about $12
