Wow, where do I even begin? This bar may be cheap, which is usually a good thing, but it quickly became clear that the low prices reflect the lack of care they put into anything. For starters, they never asked for our IDs. Now, my husband and I are old enough to drink, but the fact that they didn't check them should have been a red flag. It's clear they just don't care. As the night went on, it became even more apparent. The staff didn't seem to care enough to cut people off when they had clearly had too much to drink. At one point, a man approached my husband and me while we were sitting on the couch and started a bizarre conversation, making strange comments and pointing at us. We tried to ignore it, but then his "friends" had to pull him away. A little later, he came back, now more aggressive than before. I started yelling for help from other patrons or the bartender, and they only responded by pulling him away. The bartender didn't intervene at all. At that point, we decided to cut our night short. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even on a quiet Wednesday. If they're not responsible enough to check IDs, they clearly don't care enough to ensure their patrons' safety or comfort. read more

Great place for meeting people and having a brew. I like that it was not too far from out hotel . The bar did smell of cigarets smoke or something like that so I could not stay because of the smell and my allergies. My friend did stay and she had a wonderful time. This bar has a younger age group of people 20 to 28 . Parking is good behind the bar. read more

Bartenders are cool but it does take a while to get drinks. Friday night, good amount of ppl. Reasonable prices. TouchTunes. Nice size space, plenty of seating. The chairs are hard & a bit uncomfortable. I had a good time, most of the music wasn't my vibe. I'd stop in again, the patrons make it worth while. read more

Personally I have to say the groove is one of my top 2 go too bars. For a few reasons. 1.) The people. The servers behind the bar are always awesome. Have never had any issue here. 2.) The vibe. It never feels like "too much" but never gets boring. 3.) There's almost always a special for drinks. Lastly It's in downtown Vero. It's in a great place to start or end a pubcrawl. Popped in here after the Downtown Friday event ended. It was packed and I am a middle-aged woman with wistful memories of my twenties, so it was fun to see the young folks in this cool little setting. The barman created a luscious Negroni, and though I wanted another one, as I mentioned, I'm old and I had to drive 16 miles on US-1 to get home, so one sufficed. If I lived in Vero, I'd like to walk here and enjoy the noise and the cocktails occasionally. I'll be back after the next Friday event. read more

Cool spot. I went early for a cocktail with my wife. Low key hangout, staff was very friendly, music was great. It's convenient to downtown Vero Beach, very walkable area. If there is any negative is that it's a "whiskey bar" but the selection could use a few more choices. We will be back. read more

Clean...fairly new bar, open about a month now. Two for one specials on well drinks...pretty good prices....BUT.... Staff could be a little more friendly...seemed to me like they don't know how to smile and joke around with their customers to well...and I'm saying this because I am a bartender as well. Gonna cut them a lil slack being that they JUST opened and give them the benefit of the doubt that they will get better at conversing with their customers and not act as though they really can't be bothered...she had 2 customers...US (my boyfriend and I)...and just seemed like she could care less and the guy that came in just before we were leaving...was either in a bad mood and is just always an angry type person...just my opinion.....we asked about live music and he didn't even look up, just pointed (behind his back) to a board on the wall and said..."It's over there". Seriously? Wow...yeah, really made us feel like we'd like to hang out here..... We will probably go back and give them 1 more try...hopefully they will have things together a bit better and be friendlier! :( read more

I always WANT this place to be good. I'm ALWAYS disappointed. I took my wife out "on the town" for a date while we were in town visiting family. Vero is not known for it's nightlife, but the downtown area does have a few good restaurants and bars. This is not one of them. We walked in and it was pretty quiet, which I liked. That didn't last long. More on that later. The place smelled like old vomit. It's as if The Grove wants to be a dive bar, but can't commit to it so it tries to do things to make it feel a little nice. But don't be mistaken, it's a dive. The problem with that is, when you order the "house red wine" and then get the bill, you quickly discover it's an $11 house wine. Which really means one of two things: 1) the bartender doesn't know what he's doing. or 2) they don't have a house wine. Either is disconcerting. The draft beer selection is also kind of underwhelming. Not much variety especially in terms of craft beer selection. I was able to find a decent IPA. Eh. Then, the typical Vero dude bros come in and the place gets louder and louder, music goes up to compete. Vicious cycle. We quickly left. If I want loud, I'll go to Kilted Mermaid and hear a decent live band and have a really good beer (and food!). Oh, and it won't smell awful. Family members of mine own this bar and friends of mine work at The Grove. I don't live in Vero anymore, so I was not there for the opening, but when I came back recently I was impressed. This is place that has the same vibe as a bar that you would find in Chicago/NYC/LA. Good decor, good alcohol selection, staff is friendly and helpful and just an overall good place to hangout and grab a drink. This bar has a very low key atmosphere. The staff are very personable, open to suggestions, and welcoming. They have good happy hour specials and it is a nice crowd that patronizes this establishment. It is nice to incorporate it while frequentling through the downtown gallery stroll. read more

My friends and I have visited The Grove several times and each time experienced the same poor service. The bar does have a good selection of drinks, liquor and beer/wine at fair price points and offers live music from time to time and daily drink specials. The general decor and layout is nice and well thought out. What really stops this bar from being a hit is the uninterested and rude staff. In my visits when requesting a drink you are greeted with staff that act like they just left a funeral. My wife was spoken to in a rude manner when asking for our check and the girl double charged us. Perhaps a new bar staff would make this place a cool hang but until then I'm taking my business where the customer is not a burden. read more

Been to The Grove twice now and was very impressed with the atmosphere and good-looking crowd. Was quite busy, but that's what I'm looking for in a lounge, so I was completely cool with it. I was really enjoying the "modern" music (mix of hip-hop, techno, etc.) rather than the typical run-of-the-mill hippy in the corner with a guitar, which you find in every other bar in Vero. I've owned bars in the past, and I learned the hard way that you must cater to the interests of your crowd and not that of the owners, so hopefully this place will stay on the right track and they won't spoil the mood with live music. Otherwise, those beautiful women will be looking for another hangout and I'll have to step up to the plate and open one up of my own. Until then, Vero, you'll find me at The Grove! read more

they increased the size of the stage and the bar but not the building....standing room only situation...more likely ..if you arrive less than an hour early for any show you will be elbowing your way into the place for a drink...perhaps youll get it out intact to stand outside on the sidewalk to give a listen...way too small for a bar...like most places in this area way over priced..unless you like to constantly be in a life or death struggle to keep your drink and yourself from hitting the floor it may not be for you...i know i wont be going back again.. read more
