Perfect beach bar. Right on the water with indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of tvs and a pretty large menu. The food was really good too- I definitely recommend the grouper sandwich and pretzel appetizer. It's also family friendly with an arcade and kids specials. While the service couldn't have been friendlier, it was a little slow which is why I had to knock it down a star. Also, we ate inside so we didn't experience this, but we heard it can get a little loud outside with the live music so just keep that in mind... but this was my family's second time here and if/when I'm back in Vero Beach, I'll be sure to return! read more

We visited Mulligan's in Vero Beach this past Saturday with a party of eight (4 adults and 4 kids), and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. We were seated outside, which was fine, but from there everything went downhill. The service was extremely slow and inattentive. It was difficult to get drinks refilled, and it felt like our table was forgotten for most of the meal. The food was just as disappointing. Several meals arrived lukewarm, the quality was poor, and nothing really stood out as worth the price. It's frustrating because this restaurant used to be one of our favorite places to eat in Vero Beach, but each visit seems to get worse instead of better. The beachfront location is still beautiful, but great views can only make up for so much. Based on this experience, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I honestly wish I would have relied on the reviews. We went because it was late and not much was open. So please avoid Mulligans, listen to these reviews and don't make the same mistake we did. Terrible quality food, there was a pebble in my shrimp dish that the waiter literally carried back to the kitchen. My daughter's order was wrong and when the correct one came out there was a long, black hair in it. Needless to say we did not eat, even the unaffected food as everyone lost their appetite. We waited outside for at least 15 minutes for the manager to come speak to us and he never did, so we went inside and he came out of the kitchen with the most defensive attitude. He was insisting there was no rock/pebble in the food and that it's never happened before. Well guess what it happened and he knew it. What a waste of time. This experience put such a damper on what could have been an enjoyable vacation dinner elsewhere. We did not pay our bill even though they tried to charge us. Disgraceful. read more

We came here for breakfast and dinner since this was within walking distance from our hotel. Always very good service. The waitresses are very attentive and efficient. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the beach and ocean view. It is right on the beach. We will definitely come back here again. read more

We at Mulligans today for lunch. The menu was plentiful and hard to make a good choice. The person serving us was nice and knew the menu when asked about options. My wife and I ordered a couple of drinks. I had, according to the menu "the best Bloody Mary in Town". It might be but it is not the best Bloody Mary I ever had . It was heavily tomato based and lacked any other flavor. The menu says top secret ingredients and it must be because I couldn't taste anything else. I couldn't taste the vodka or any other seasoning. I had to crack some table pepper and add some hot sauce to give some flavor. It did come with a huge shrimp, that was nice, a couple of olives and a celery stick. My wife had the mimosa which was a good pour. We ordered the Baja fish tacos(2) which are misleading. The menu says it is loaded with mahi mahi, pico de gallo and cheddar cheese. The taco came in a flour tortilla and was not loaded with anything. One small plank of fish, teaspoon of pico and hardly any cheese. It reminded me of a snack wrap at McDonald's. I was supposed to come with rice and beans. We ordered it with all rice and no beans. When it came out it only had the order of rice. We asked and the server stated that when you order one side you don't get double of the other side. She did bring a side of rice later. My wife ordered the Asian Tuna Bowl. It looked nothing like the picture and it was on the soupy side and was sent back. Then the check came. We did see that the check was going to have an 18 percent gratuity added to the check and we did see a 3 percent charge for using a credit card. But what wasn't told to us was the extra service charge added to the check. I had no idea what that is or did we ask. It is a cool place that sits on the beach and when we were getting ready to leave a guy was staring to play live music. I can see how the place is a cool place, just don't expect everything you read on the menu or ask a lot of questions. The server was very nice and accommodating. If we go back, I would like to try other items on the menu and maybe have better luck. read more

The last few times we have been in the wait times were terrible, and the host estimates about how long the wait would be were wrong. "20-30 min wait" turned into 45 min wait. After we sat down it took 15 minutes and one person asking if we had been helped before anyone came to take our drink order. We gave our food order to them at that time and it took another 45 minutes to get our meal. No special orders or substitutions. Disappointing. read more

Swung by Mulligan's after the Swim to the Wreck event on the 4th of July, expecting chaos. Shockingly, it wasn't slammed, which was a win in itself. The vibe was breezy, the service didn't drag, and the food? Solid. I went for the Southern-style breakfast sandwich smothered in that glorious sausage gravy and yes, it tasted just as intense as it looked. It was messy, hearty, and unapologetically satisfying. The potatoes were crispy little cubes of happiness, not the soggy sidekick kind. Washed it all down with a chilled OJ that hit the spot after being out in that relentless Florida sun. Refreshing and no skimp on portion size which I will always appreciate that. Overall: Great place to crash after a swim or beach walk. If I could give this place a 3.5 I would. This restaurant is sitting in such a cute area in Vero Beach. Very walkable area full of cute shops. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with a gorgeous view of the water, prices are reasonable and there's a nice vacation vibe because they're playing live music outside. The reason why I'm giving 3.5 is because the food was just subpar. There's no other way to put it. I was with 6 ppl and everyone had the same to say about the food. Even my kids does tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Also, our server was very nice but it did take a long time to get our food. Another pro was that the parking is free in this area, which is awesome. I have a dear friend in her late 80's who wanted to treat me to dinner for my birthday. I said you choose. This is where she wanted to go. It's been years since I've been here. It wasn't very busy probably because of thunderstorms all day and a Tuesday evening. Dillon was our server and very accommodating. We ordered cocktails and said can the food come out later so we can talk? He made that happen. She also was chilled with the fan right on her back. She asked him if he could "slow the fan". He just reached up and made it happen. We each had their hamburgers. They came made exactly the way we asked, hers medium well and mine well done. Then for dessert we shared key lime pie. I had a really disappointing experience here and unfortunately won't be returning. When I arrived on a Sunday evening, I was told there would be a 25-minute wait, even though many tables appeared open. I assumed it might be a staffing issue, so I was patient and waited. However, things only got worse after I was seated. Shortly after sitting down, I watched a larger party get seated right in front of me, despite arriving after I had already been waiting. Once seated, I waited another 15-20 minutes without ever being greeted. During that time, I saw servers actively attending to nearby tables--checking on guests, picking up checks, and even greeting that larger party that had been seated after me--but no one acknowledged me at all. It felt like I was completely overlooked. After waiting with no service, I decided to leave. As I was walking out, I shared my experience with the host, hoping at least for some acknowledgment or apology. Unfortunately, there was none--just a simple "have a good night." I understand that restaurants can get busy and staffing can be challenging, but basic acknowledgment and communication go a long way. Horrible experience, Food took over 2 hours just for appetizers, came cold anyway, we complained to the GM Danny and he dismissed us as first time clients, very rude and didn't try to resolve the issue, def don't recommend this restaurant, not only poor service from the GM but he holds an irresponsible position with customer service and inventory control as they ran out of wings, fries, calamari, guac, mashed potatoes and weren't aware of it.
