The coolest place to go in Dekalb by far! Delicious drinks and lovely bar with attentive staff. Food is not what you get everywhere else. Sounds weird, but get the Cobb salad - you won't be disappointed! It's huge! Burgers are also delish.

Let's start with the food. Got the wings with bourbon maple rub and asked for honey as a dipping sauce. Honey was not a menu option but they accommodated me on that. They were different but good. Heavy on the rub and very messy. The rub was indeed very dry and applied after cooking, so altho different, and ok, I would not go that route again. The fries I ordered as a side came out pretty plentiful, however, not warm at all, in addition I asked what the menu stated "seasoned fries" were seasoned with. This stumped the waitress as she looked at me oddly as if I was being a smart ass and said "salt". I said good cuz I do not like the orange stuff that is sometimes considered seasoned fries. Guess what I got... orange coated seasoned fries. I was going to explain the situation and have them sent back but she did not come back til much later, asked me how it was and I said the wings are good and before I could mention the fries she said good, and was gone. No offer of another drink as I would have considered that. So I ate about half, regretably , and said to myself, self, no more orange colored battered looking fries listed as seasoned. So I sorta covered the service. It was ok, friendly and efficient, except for the quick exit after not being able to say more than good wings. The ambiance was confusing to me it is billed as a modern tavern bar restaurant so I guess it is both a tavern and restaurant, which is pretty obvious that it's trying to be a bit upscale in decor but definitely has TVs by some of the closed to bar tables, yet the dining area is a little upscale in looks. It's in a new building and can't have been open for more than a year I'm guessing. Pricing usual. Yes I did order an 8$ beer, (I gotta quit that) but 6wings and fries and a beer put me very near $30 including a 20% tip. I don't know about you but my budget is starting to scream at me, "stop eating at restaurants"! It's just that money's tight times are hard all round I guess. I'll just have to start reviewing home services and other things more often. Back to this restaurant, however. I digress. It was enjoyable overall but not greatly so. If I were to go back I would try something else.

How do you dry breaded chicken so much that it goes black, and then who puts that on a roll knowing how bad the customer experience will be?

Ordered through Uber Eats, food arrived in decent time, food so badly overcooked. Just a burnt, dry piece of chicken on a dry roll. Never again.

First let's start with the good! The atmosphere is amazing, the servers were wonderful, the food was pretty, and the place was spotless! Now the bad... the food was awful. It was so expensive and the food had ZERO flavor but had an odd aftertaste. We picked multiple bold flavored (sounding) items and it was just, meh. We were so disappointed and when you spend over $70 on a meal for two people you expect it to be exceptional. We will not be back.

This was the second time we ate here since they opened and I was very impressed with the food selection and quality, service, and beer selection. Our server, autumn, didn't miss a beat. Loved that their craft beer selection was all from local or Regional breweries and that ingredients were also locally sourced. The atmosphere is modern and the restaurant is very clean. I loved that there carry out containers are not Styrofoam and our biodegradable!

Welcome to DeKalb!…read more When the White Castle closed at this location before COVID, we were sad. Then McAlister's Deli came in. The place is completely redone - you wouldn't recognize it. Food wise, oh was this place good. My wife ordered The New Yorker with corned beef, pastrami, swiss and spicy brown mustard on marbled rye, and I had their Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar, which had black angus roast beef, sharp cheddar, red onions, and horseradish sauce on a toasted ciabatta. Listen carefully when you make your order - they ask you if you want a pickle. The pickles are good. My wife went with their Choose 2 option, and got a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. I got the regular sandwich with a bag of Ms. Vickers Salt and Vinegar chips. While they don't have the fountain where you can get it, the staff makes regular tours and offers free refills for soft drinks, and also asks you if your food is okay. My wife enjoyed her New Yorker, and I enjoyed the Horseradish Roast Beef and Cheddar. It had enough Horseradish to taste good, and the drinks tasted great. The place is completely redone, is attractive and clean, with very good service. We'll be back!

The chicken was super tasty and I loved the block of feta. Although, for 15.00, I could get double the salad and chicken and get pita bread at another local Greek restaurant. I would suggest adding more to the salad for the price of 16.50. I will try something different next time but I think my husband will stick with the Gyro dinner and we will just ask for more sauce and pita bread.

More of a "hole in the wall" diner....but you could smell the food just walking through the door! The girl working the counter was most accommodating and friendly! Came for the creamy lemon rice soup and wasn't disappointed!! Delish!! Couldn't decide on entree so I opted for the $17.00 plate with pork skewer and taziki (sp) sauce soup and spinach pie! Was looking forward to trying their Pastitsio but they were out of it. Spinach pie was a very good second choice! Only downside was no liquor license and we didn't think to ask if we could byob.... They served fountain drinks and nice jugs of cold water ....one infused with cucumbers which was a nice touch. All in all very good food and way more affordable than a fancy Greek (or Mediterranean ) restaurant. Didn't have room for dessert. But looked like some nice offerings. I would go back...even if it were just for the soup!

Service has settled out and has improved…read more We dropped in when our primary choice was taken out by a freak storm which knocked out power to the west. I'm working on building my iron levels, so Florentino's got the nod. We were seated in a booth promptly when we arrived at around 5:15 pm. Within a minute, filled and iced water glasses arrived and then in another minute, a loaf of bread with butter. The bread had good texture, and worked well with the butter. We thought about the wine and my wife ordered their Veal Marsala, which worked with the Josh Cabernet that I wanted to order. Again corkage fees are quite reasonable. The salads came out - my wife enjoyed her wedge salad, and I enjoyed my Caesar (albiet still without anchovies!) with a solid dressing and crouton mix. As we finished the salads, the main courses arrived. My wife enjoyed her Veal Marsala, but couldn't finish it. I enjoyed my filet - it was better seasoned but still needed just a touch of salt to bring out the flavor. The room is still loud - they could use some baffles over head. The lighting has a variety of light fixtures from the ceiling. The bar still has 4 TV screens (which don't disrupt conversation at the tables and boothes. The seats are quite comfortable. This is improved from our last visit. Hopefully, they maintain this effort.

We ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant and the Nutella crepes with strawberries. Both items were very large portions for a good value and came out relatively quickly. We went with our baby and were able to put the car seat in the booth with us because the tables are very big, which is great. The restaurant has music on, but just loud enough to hear, but quiet enough to have a comfortable conversation without being distracted or having to yell. Overall, I would recommend anyone going to find a quality breakfast at a reasonable price.
