    LIBERTY FARMS DUCK
    Holly S.

I love this place so much. From their delicious cocktails to food and beautiful ambiance. I got the mezcal drink "slightly smoked" it was easy to drink, light & refreshing. For dinner we ordered the duck and chicken dish (my favorite dish that I always return for) The duck was delicious and we are happy to try something new, however the portion size is ridiculously small for $56. It also came with zero side to boot. Hence the 4/5 The chicken over polenta was buttery smooth and worth every penny. If you are in town and want a romantic dinner with fine spirits come to the grove

Fun and lively atmosphere in the bar area. Service was good. Food (American) was average but protein dishes overcooked (well done). Credit card fee is a turn off when you spend several hundreds. Not sure why this practice is employed at establishments with bottle wine menus. On the fence about returning. Overall, i may come here for a few drinks but will ensure to carry cash. $20/drink should cover the minimal cc fee. Note to business: Honestly, credit card fee is normal overhead at a restaurant and shouldn't be separated out to your customers. It send a wrong message especially when entrees exceed $50/plate. Avoid this practice.

First time visit and we have been living here almost 4 years. Shame on us! Busy - we had an 8:15 reservation. Sat in the 2nd room where the big bar is located. 10 stars for us. Wow. Incredible menu and service. Consider yourself fortunate if Mel is your server. Very attentive, knowledgeable and gracious. 1/2 price wine night - had a fantastic Gruner. Mel even let us know the temp wasn't optimal so they chilled it a bit longer. Nice touch. My grilled peach & burrata was fantastic. Fiance loved his rock shrimp ceviche. Basil stuffed (shrimp) farfalle was the best. Fiance ordered the cheeseburger. I ate 1/2 of his rosemary fries. Addictive! Only drawback and it wasn't their fault. A group of six were next to us. Mid 30s. We don't mind "loud" we knew it was noisy. The most vulgar language - just non stop. We look forward to many more visits.

Amazing experience! Was visiting a friend from out of town and she's a regular here... there was a bit of a wait so we sat outside & ordered drinks... once our table was ready we were moved to inside and our waiter, Bee, took care of us inside & outside - he was amazing! Gave us great recommendations, checked in regularly - we started with the yellowfin tuna, grilled Maine scallops, & house bread. Then we split the sweet corn agnolotti & filet mignon. Chefs kiss. It was absolutely delicious. It was definitely a livelier bar/restaurant and dim intimate lighting. Can't wait to come back here next time we're in town!

Perfect dinner. When Delray gets Michelin stars I'm sure this one will be on the list. Highly recommend you try the Japanese Waygu tartare served on warm rice. The squash blossoms are also delicious and the briosche crusted chicken. Delicious! The rosemary Parmesan briosche is great too. Don't pass on the bread!

Let's get the negatives out of the way....I got full. That's it. The menu gives you the opportunity to curate your own epicurean journey and I'm assuming that's the point. Cocktails crafted and paired beautifully, (thanks Court and Nick). I had the Hamachi, you must have the Hen Egg, then I concluded with the gnocchi. If you're lucky enough to have Michael or Tony suggest your courses, or your wine pairings, do yourself a solid and oblige. It's been years since I've been to the grove and they've only aged like a fine wine. 11/5. Go. I look forward to experiencing what they become excited about executing. Do yourself a favor and visit the best restaurant in Delray. I look forward to being back soon.

Amazing food! The service and atmosphere was a great vibe. I want to go back already for the sweet corn agnolotti. Don't forget the bread for an app!

The food here is absolutely spectacular. I really enjoyed the specialty cocktails and they had an excellent selection of wine. The sweet corn agnolotti was delicious. You have to get the rosemary bread. One of the few places you can find squash blossoms in the area, stuffed with ricotta, and finished with a truffle honey. Also must order the Caramel bread pudding. I gave the place four stars because it's one of those locations that is higher priced with small portions. The price isn't ridiculous but I would definitely expect a little bit more food given the price point. A grown man would definitely leave hungry. Great date night spot and if you have a smaller appetite I'm sure you would be fine. Service was on point... no issue with the wait staff who knew the menu very well

The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. The food is very delicious but I removed one star because the prices as extremely expensive. The portions are small - which I prefer! I just wish the prices matched.

I ate here for Saturday night dinner. They have bar seating for walk-ins. They also have a couch area outside on the back patio for walk-ins. There may be some tables for walk in's but I'm not sure. The bar was full, so they offered me the couch on the back patio, which is not air-conditioned and is very hot, but staff informed me that there were fans directly on the couch and I would feel comfortable out there also that the full menu is served. So I sat at the couches and I was a solo diner, so it was actually nice to be able to sit there and read my book while waiting for my drink and food. As promised there were fans right on me several of the other diners on the patio though were very hot. The waitress I had was really great and friendly as were the other staff. The drink I had was great as was the short rib pasta so good. I would definitely go out of my way to go back again!

Excellent service from Sisco Excellent food from the kitchen…read more Excellent drinks from the bar. What more to say? The greeting from our server set the tone and standard for the evening. The lobster appetizer was phenomenal. The chicken oysters, I personally don't see the hype there but the potato served with them is both the crispiest and the softest potato I've ever eaten. The short rib entree with mole sauce was as tender and flavorful as can be. The local jerk swordfish was cooked perfectly and everything on that plate together created wonderful bites. Cornbread dessert was my choice, I love cornbread and that hit the mark with the blueberry compote and ice cream. One nitpick, and this is absolutely a nitpick. The string lights that hang down the wall to the tables are filthy. So dirty they looked like twine rope. Now that didn't change my experience or make me question the cleanliness of the kitchen at all. That food was perfect. And I wouldn't lower my rating .1 because of it I would go back to driftwood more frequently if my schedule fit their hours better, this place is top notch. Make your reso and enjoy We had 4 cocktails, 2 apps, 2 entrees, 1 dessert. Shared everything. Bill with gratuity was about $270. It was worth every penny.

We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

Their was a lively group of people at the bar, we got the last couple spots that were open. The very friendly bartender, who smiling might of been his favorite thing, was quick with the menus. We had just come from dinner so we focused on the drink menu. My gal got a nice red. They served it in a wonderfully different wide orb of a glass. The cocktail menu felt purposefully sparse. We got there early for our reservation, but it was a busy night and the inside table I had already requested and reserved was given away so we had to sit outside. We asked about seating in the bar but we were told it was booked by a private party. (No one for this party showed up from 7:30-9:30 and the bar was as empty when we left as when we arrived.) They did have portable heaters outside so it wasn't too cold, but again, not what I requested or reserved. Our server was friendly and greeted us immediately, explaining the nightly special. We started with the Hamachi appetizer, a fun mix of yellowtail with passionfruit and gochujang. Everything about it was delicious but the yellowtail tasted much fishier than we've had elsewhere. Then the waiting game started. After waiting nearly 40 minutes our server brought the appetizer again so we had to assume he'd put a hold on our order and forgotten it. I went in to ask a few minutes later and our food was just now being staged. I don't mine if things happen, it's life, but tell us up front, say "whoops" and we will move on... Our dinner finally came out and it was really good! - The lovely Spensyr had the Table Wedge Salad, an interesting mix of Bibb lettuce, pork belly, and Tahini ranch, with a sun dried tomato compote. - I had the hangar steak with crispy fried potato and sautéed veg. It was delicious. Because of the earlier wait and mix up, we were offered complimentary desserts. Spensyr got their Key Lime pie and loved it, I got their white chocolate passionfruit cake dome thing and we each thought ours was better. * All in all it was a mixed bag. Apart from the overly fishy appetizer, all our food was delicious. The service was great, except for when they forgot us. The restaurant was comfortable and pleasant other than being kept outside in the cold with an entire empty bar.

We paid almost $100 per person for their omakase experience and it was a complete rip-off. First of all, we left completely starving. There was not one single ounce of protein in any of the courses, and every dish was aggressively salty. The service was just as much of a joke as the food. We never got our water or sodas refilled, and the staff completely ignored every single request we made. They also totally skipped us for the welcome glass of champagne, even though we literally watched them hand it out to everyone else. The most infuriating part was the bread situation. They told us we could not have any because their "upstairs bread oven wasn't working", but we could clearly see them actively serving bread to the downstairs customers. Make it make sense! Also, multiple people in our group had upset stomachs after and could not even stomach the food and left feeling uneasy. They now believe they have food poisoning which is disappointing since we used to love this place! It was also too loud inside and we felt packed as sardines. When we finally expressed our extreme dissatisfaction to the manager, he just gave us a weak "sorry" and did absolutely nothing to make it right. Honestly, the food was worse than cruise ship food and the customer service is completely nonexistent. It was a huge waste of money and a ruined night. Save your cash and go literally anywhere else.
