Very low key in appearance but don't let that keep you from going in. They have daily lunch specials. I was there on a Friday which was Fried Chicken day. Oh my that was the best fried chicken. The crusty was light but flavorful and crunchy. My lunch date and I enjoyed the food and the server was busy but attentive. We stayed and visited about 2 hours and nothing was said. I will be back! Fantastic food, great ambiance, service was lacking. The food was excellent and I felt like it was reasonably priced. It took a little while to make it to our table, but the restaurant was busy and when we got our food it was hot and didn't seem like it had been sitting. We ordered desserts to go and they were excellent as well. The service, on the other hand, needs some improvement. Our waitress was very polite but very very inattentive. She was eager to accommodate, but seemed unfamiliar with the menu. Like I said, the restaurant was very busy, so that may have contributed, but for the price I definitely expect a little more attention. We pulled up about 2 doors down on Front street on a Sunday morning for brunch. We could see that the place already had some traffic but we were excited to try this place that was rated highly on Open Table (where we made our reservation prior to arriving). I will say that the hostess and the servers as well as the manager were incredibly friendly. I'm not sure they saw my request for a window table on my reservation, because I certainly requested one via Open Table, and so noticed we were seated in the middle of the floor where we could clearly see s couple of booths and a window table available, but they were so nice it really wasn't worth making a fuss over. The menu is pretty straight forward and we know what we like. We came for the pancakes. We had the coffee first, which was SUPER AWESOME (Westrock brand, apparently; you know we HAD to ask lol). They serve cocktails on Sunday morning, y'all!!! They have a special license that allows them to. SCORE. Okay so the food comes out. Looks amazing, but definitely could have been warmer. Tasted great, though, in spite of that. Besides, the place started to fill up pretty rapidly after we were seated, so the kitchen was definitely under pressure. Definitely worth getting off the interstate!! The atmosphere and food were amazing. Check out the patios up and downstairs. Such a great space. We shared a chicken Caesar salad and the swamp grits which had crawfish, shrimp and red fish in a wonderful sauce over grits. Kevin and Becky were so friendly! Treat yourself to a dinner at The Grumpy Rabbit!! My husband and I went there for our anniversary, and we were quite impressed. We went online to make a reservation, and they included a special occasion option. Since we told them it was our anniversary, they reserved a great table for us upstairs at the window. I thought it was a very nice touch! We ordered way too much food because we wanted to try a few different dishes, and everything was good!! The crawfish poutine fries were super yummy and a HUGE portion. It's easily shareable. For dinner we ordered the blackened redfish and the Gouda Mac with chicken. Both dishes were excellent, but the Gouda Mac was the best bite of the night!! The chicken on it was absolutely delicious--worth the add on. Again, huge portions. We took lots of food home. The carrot cake was outstanding as well. The restaurant has great atmosphere and decor. There are bars both upstairs and downstairs which was nice. Our server, Sydney, was very good. Honestly the only complaint I have is that there are several large TVs hanging on the walls, and they seemed out of place for this type of restaurant. They really should get rid of them in my opinion. Overall we had a great experience, and we will be back!! read more

We were driving through Arkansas on a road trip and this restaurant popped up as an option. I'm sooo glad we stopped. The staff and owner were just fantastic. I mean, EVERYONE was smiling and friendly, especially our waitress Chloe. The food was great too! I'm not sure we'll be in that area again but if we are we will definitely go back. My husband and I decided to try the grump rabbit for lunch one day. When We get to the restaurant ,we asked where can we seat, the reason to ask is because my husband had angle surgery, he can't go upstairs. We saw first floor had a lot empty tables, but when ask waitress where can we seat, the waitress said you have to go upstairs, so other waitress on the upstairs will get a tip. We said we can't go upstairs, the waitress said," oh we have elevator " my husband said if something happen and elevator won't work , i can't get down. The waitress still want us go to upstairs, then we said we are going to leave now. Then they said, you can stay at first floor now, but it was too late. We will never go Grump Rabbit again. read more

Three of us visited for a lunch. The Wednesday special was rigatoni with Bolognese sauce with homemade ricotta. The special comes with one side which could be mac & cheese (with rigatoni?), mashed potatoes (??), a dish of greens ( cooked with orange drink (???), or a side salad. I opted for the side salad. One of us ordered the greens based on the waitress's recommendation. (He was not impressed; neither was I based on a small taste). The rigatoni and sauce were reasonably good. The teaspoon of ricotta was on the grainy side. (We thought Parmesan would have been a better choice.) A third companion ordered a Cobb salad and asked for crackers. The salad was good; the crackers arrived at about the time he finished the salad. The wait staff needs time in grade and training. We thought the spot difficult to justify battling I40 traffic coming and going from Little Rock. read more

I was excited to try this place due to the reviews. We stopped here around 12:30 on a Sunday. We were driving from Memphis back to Longview and then I still had to drive to FT. Worth. I thought we would save time and beat the church crowd which we may encounter in Little Rock. Yeah, that was not the case. I had called ahead to make sure it wasnt too busy, and the girl said she would make a reservation for us. great, we are on our way! We waited a little bit to be seated, but not too bad. It was the food that took so long! Our waitress was kind and told us twice that the chef was sorry. They were backed up from a Birthday party they were having. Im pretty sure the party was related to someone there, but it ended up taking them 50 minutes to get us our food. They did ask us if we wanted something while we were waiting so I said some hummus. of course the pita was an issue as they had to grill that, but they brought it with chips, at first. tt was good, but the when they finally brought the pita, that was great! We got our food about 10 minutes later. My breakfast potatoes were cold BUT I didnt say anything. I had eaten the pita bread so I really didnt need to eat the potatoes. :) i really thought they would have given us the hummus on the house, but they did not. Just disappointed I guess, as my expectations were higher due to the reviews. Im hoping management can learn from this review. It would have been nice if someone told us it was going to be a long wait before we had been there for 40 minutes waiting to sit and then after we ordered. Super cute find on our travels across the country. Scott the server was so pleasant and professional. He recommended the tots as an appetizer...,, yummy and the blackened red fish. Tried this at lunchtime today with thoughts of bringing friends for dinner, but so glad we came alone first! It was nothing we expected after reading the reviews in the paper. It was not upscale by anyone's definition. It was more of a sports bar with huge TV's everywhere you look. We were looking for a nice, quiet place to enjoy good meals. This is a great family owned restaurant that i have been to a few a times. I have eaten brunch, lunch and dinner and everything that i have tried has been really good. The only thing I have a problem with it is a bit pricey but i understand it is an upscale restaurant so i would only go there on a nice occasion but other than that i would not go there casually. read more

Stopped in while passing through Lonoke. We chose this restaurant because they offered outdoor dining but we were seated on the back patio which had little air circulation and no fan. Flies were terrible. Granted, it is July but this was disappointing. Service was good. Our food was good but hard to enjoy with the heat and the flies. read more

WOW! Bastille Day Dinner! Excellent set menu perfectly served with an optional wine pairing. It was like an Event! There is something about everyone being served the same courses at the same time! My wife and I were spending the night in Lonoke on our way back home to Dallas. Our hotel suggested we try the Grumpy Rabbit for dinner and we are glad we did. I had the Grumpy Burger with fries (delicious) and my wife had a chicken salad sandwich with a house salad (also fantastic). Our server, Scott, made us feel very welcome in Lonoke and did an excellent job of taking care of us and giving us some insight into the restoration of the building. It was a great experience and this may become a tradition for us when we pass through the area. read more
