    Seafood Gumbo

This was the perfect hearty homestyle cooked meal and really hit the spot. Very fun Cajun spot in the Gulch. If you're looking for bourbon street in Nashville, Gumbo Bros is your spot! I ordered a cup of the seafood gumbo and the catfish pontchartrain. Both were perfect. Gumbo had a decent amount of spice but wasn't spicy if that makes sense. More peppery. The catfish was fried and came with shrimp in cream sauce that pulled everything in the dish together. Very good. Drinks were great here as well and they featured some New Orleans staples. Service was very friendly and took great care of us. Thank you!

Great location, friendly staff, and a truly authenticate meal. I went in saying, I don't eat red beans and rice... but I do now!! Drinks and pasta weren't the best, but the beans and fish were wonderful!

Nice location and atmosphere. Looks like this is a pretty popular place in the Gulch. Steady stream of folks at the bar and tables! Great service from the entrance, table service, and at the time we left. Everyone was nice. The food was good- this is the only Cajun place we saw and for the area it's very good. The po boys were on the right rolls. I will say the bread pudding was very light and fluffy. I like a more dense and bread-y one, but great glaze. The potato salad was good, but the fries were ok- a little too crispy. However the boudin and fried green tomatoes brought me up to a solid 4!! Worth the visit. Keep in mind you are NOT in NOLA, but they have done an excellent job getting close!

After just moving to Nashville my husband (who is born and raised in Louisiana) and I came here for dinner tonight. We were so impressed! The gumbo is some of the best we've had outside of LA and the debris fries were the best thing we ordered. We also really enjoyed the red beans and rice. Great rice ratio on the trio! We would pass on the étouffée next time but overall we're excited to go back and thought everything was very yummy and authentic!

They have the lock on gumbo! Color, flavor, meat, no complaints! The boudin balls and the hot honey sauce were good. 4/$12 was a bit steep to me. The voodoo pasta and the catfish ponchartrain were good but too much butter! I want to shoutout Gabe for being an excellent waiter! High energy and great service. We were on the waitlist for 1.5 hours. I recommend investing in an electronic waitlist system to track the parties. We walked around for a while but had to keep coming back to check our spot in line. Lots of patrons were sticking around to watch the football game so it held up on seating.

Great location with welcoming curb appeal as it offers outdoor seating as well as indoor. Full bar with cute decor. We ordered the seafood gumbo with was my favorite of the 3 dishes. The Cobb salad was just ok and the pupu platter (pickle, okra and green tomato) was just mid for my liking but my gfs enjoyed them. Just ok spot for me. Nothing really stood out.

I've been to NOLA so I was skeptical about a NOLA inspired gumbo spot in Nashville but WOW. This service and food at this place was so good that we dined here twice during our visit. You can't go wrong with any of the food or drinks here. Not to mention, the ambiance really made me feel like I was back in the big easy. Pay a visit to The Gumbo Bros, you won't regret it.

A must place to eat. I had the shrimp po boy and hunny had the gumbo. Both delicious and service was great.

Shut my mouth those beignets are worth the visit. If I'd known they were that good, I may have started and ended the meal with that. I love crawfish and I love queso...combine them together and BAM. I was most impressed with how much crawfish was in the queso. It was not just on top but all throughout. The shrimp poboy was excellent. Shrimp was succulent and fried perfectly and the bread was exactly as it needs to be for a poboy...crispy on the outside, soft on the insides. My husband had crawfish étouffée. He said it was very good. Our server was terrific too. She was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Did I mention the beignets?

My family came in town and wanted to try a new brunch spot, and I was excited they chose this place. I've been wanting to try for awhile, but I kept pushing it down my to-try list. We made a reservation, but when we arrived they didn't acknowledge it - something to keep in mind. The flavors weren't as Cajun as we expected. Please keep in mind I'm southern through and through, so my palate has experienced all regions of it. It could be that I need to try the main menu. I loved the Mardi Gras themed decorations. There's paid parking behind & catty-corner to the building. Like: alligator Benny (fried well, tasty hollandaise, egg cooked to order); hot honey chicken biscuit (sweet & spicy sauce); service (helpful & kind)

The Gumbo Bros is known for its authentic Cajun cuisine, with many ingredients sourced directly from Louisiana. The restaurant has a casual, hip, and cozy atmosphere, suitable for children and groups. They offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery options. I tried the Gumbo. It was pretty good, needed to add some hot suace but had plenty of flavor. The staff was very cool. Our waitress surprised us and said most people do not tip because of the laid back flow of the place. Come on people. Take care of your service people. Great little place to grab a light lunch.

This is the best place to watch LSU dominate football!! The staff are amazing- shoutout to Brian and Momma T for being the most amazing ever! The food is so good too, I'm absolutely obsessed with the croissant beignets. My aunt comes here almost every day when she visits me because of the po boys. I was here once and sat at the bar with my friend, chatting with the bartender. We were making fun of women who really believe in horoscope and the bartender asked me "well what's your sign?". If you know me, you know I have 0 filter, and so I quipped "genocide". The bar went quiet for three seconds then erupted into hoots and hollers. Was it a dark, unnecessary joke absolutely. But that's my brand of humor and they tolerated it well. They now call me Jenna. I love it here.

    Gumbo Brothers!

My friends came out for CMA awards. All 15 of us visited Gumbo Bros today during my work event for our timeshare and travel program, and the experience was honestly fantastic. It's not easy to find a spot that can handle a crowd smoothly, but this place delivered. The food was excellent across the board the half-and-half special with the shrimp po'boy and the chicken & sausage gumbo was the clear favorite at our table. Great portions, great flavor, no misses. I also want to give special credit to our server, Angelina. Managing a big company group can be chaotic, but she handled everything with so much ease, warmth, and professionalism. Drinks, plates, requests she kept it all moving flawlessly. If you're looking for a place that combines great food, efficient service, and a surprisingly refined experience even with a big party, this is your spot!

This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. A bit mild for the serious hot chicken fans, but the flavor is there. The chicken tenders are fairly standard. And the crinkle fries are mid. I enjoyed both of the drinks. At $14.50, they are at least $1.50 less than the standard Broadway cocktails in the star bars, so iti s a less expensive option to get a drink. I don't think they ever have live music, unlike some others here, so you are going for the food, not the noise. Service was great, as always. The staff is always prompt and knows their menu.
