This place is unsanitary the workers don't wear gloves when making sandwiches. I ordered wings today and saw the man use his bare hands to pick them. Don't let the size or appearance of this place fool you. Cause I almost did. I've been wanting a good burger the past few days and wanted to try some place new. I just read the menu before I took my girlfriend and my self to the restaurant. When we got there it's a small hole in the wall. The type I've ate at a lot when I grew up on the west side. But I wasn't expecting it to look like it did. Almost didn't go in. I'm very glad I did. The guys there were very nice and courteous. Fireball burger was trash. They have an option to choose the meat temp when you order, but regardless of what you select, the burger is burnt black. Horrible service. Called in and when I placed my order I asked the guy if fries and drink were included and he said yeah. When I went to go pick up my order that I has called in 15 minutes ahead of time, order wasn't ready and the guys at the register had an attitude and was so rude. This is a little joint in a strip mall that most people will surely overlook because it's hidden. In fact, it's a hidden gem. We ordered 4 tots burgers. We ordered the gyro burger, the gladiator, the cowboy, and the chop steak burgers. The chop steak was real steak and it was incredibly juicy. It was more of a savory burger. The gyro burger was amazing. It was spicy and the burger itself tasted fresh. The gladiator was a huge burger and packed a lot of bang for your buck. And the cowboy burger was unique. The best part is the burgers are never frozen, and they get cooked right in front of you. It is very difficult to find fresh unfrozen halal burgers in Chicago. First visit. Got the classic and at older gents' suggestion got a combo- fries & drink. Burger dry and somewhat tasteless, but condiments we're fresh. And the sauce!! It made the burger unique. Next time will try a more expensive burger. Fries were nothing special but were cooked well. Limited selection of canned pop or bottled water. Took one star off for unsanitary practices. Older gentleman licks fingers when dealing with plastic bags or gloves. He has a phlemy cough and doesn't cover his mouth. I almost walked out when I heard the cook also cough and not cover his mouth. And didn't think they would have washed their hands anyway. The burgers here were amazing. Key word: were. The menu still says that burgers are 'fresh never frozen'. NOT TRUE. I just saw the cook pull out frozen patties from the freezer as I made way through the kitchen to get to the dilapidated bathroom in the back. Also we were given Gyros on our Cowboy burger instead to turkey bacon without being asked first. Not sure if this place is worth it anymore. Small location, only two tables. Very unprofessional as well. The workers always seem depressed and slow, not to mention THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE! They claim they deliver, but they "don't have a driver." And to have items listed on their menu, I would hope they have it, but that is not the case. In my last two visits here, they were "out" of chili when I asked for chili cheese fries. When I asked for cheese fries, they were out of cheese. It's a small little shop in a strip mall right off of Devon St. They have a parking lot which is very convenient. They have a couple tables and several chairs but it's a small shop so a little crowded. The employee was helpful when I asked about popular items on the menu. I ordered the Fireball burger and it was ready in 10-15 min. The burger was fantastic! The meat was a nice pink color and very juicy. The burger was oozing with cheese which I loved! The sauce and jalapeño was a really nice kick to the burger. I would put less lettuce on the burger but besides that it was an amazing place. The Chicago Style Hot Dog is awesome and authentic (although it was missing the big pickle spear, lol). The fries are good too, nice and crispy. Good burger, actually its one of the best i''ve ever had. Horrible customer service; actually it's practically non-existent. They dont ever follow instructions. They dont ever pick up the phone, like ever, no exaggeration. It's one of those places where you literally have to go to the restaurant to get an iota of customer service, or better yet, to even to talk someone. Dont place delivery and expect all of your items to be delivered. If they are missing items, they wont call and tell you. Don't expect to make a delivery order with special instructions for your burger; those instructions will thoroughly be ignored. i only order from here late at night when its last minute and i have no other option. Burgers are really good, but the side of inhospitable service that comes along with it is quite distasteful, and not really worth me paying for anymore. i've thrown too much food away because they cant follow instructions. Doesn't matter how good the burger is if i cant eat it because you ignored my instructions of no mayo, or no tomatoe, or whatever else. You know, simple shit. It makes me think that even though the food taste good, the sanitary practices may be flawed.
