My coworker and I stopped into Halal Guys totally by chance during some office visits. We were driving down Alameda looking for lunch, saw the sign, and immediately turned in. We both got the beef gyro platter and it was great. Halal Guys is always solid! The food is tasty, the ingredients are fresh, and you know exactly what you're getting. But that's not actually why I'm writing this review. I'm writing this review because of Marcus. That guy is fantastic! Honestly, I'll probably come back here for lunch next time I'm in Aurora just because of him. He's welcoming, funny, and clearly loves working with people. This is one of those places where you pick your ingredients from the counter behind the glass, and Marcus is not shy about making recommendations. I love that. The peeps working here know the food best, so I usually just go with whatever is recommended. Hot sauce? Sure! Actually their hot sauce is pretty hot and Marcus will try to warn you. Came here for a solo lunch. Parking isn't that great but I was at one on the east coast years ago and remember it being fantastic. The place is simply decorated (lighting is a little dark) and the vibe is simple. Towards the back there's a menu and an open counter with the food displayed to order. I went at 10:30 on 12/10/25. The restaurant was fairly empty, but the service was great, I was greeted as I came into to restaurant. I ordered the gryo sandwich. The flavor was ok, I have had better gryos. The biggest problems I had with the sandwich, was the lack of flavor for the meat. And the pita bread was a bit chewy. read more

Ordered online for pick-up and it was super speedy. Even the small platter is plentiful. You can choose up to 2 proteins and the sides you would like. Some sides cost extra such as hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, and extra pita. The pita was a bit too crisp, but the rest of my platter was great - plenty of hummus, chicken, and beef gyro atop rice with tomatoes and olives as sides. Halal guys is my families favorite food from NYC and I was so excited it opened up in Denver. We have tried few locations and food is ok. But this location in aurora is close to us and it's always always horrible. Food never tastes like halal guys, every time employees make up new rules. At times they charge extra for giving salad separately and then at times charge extra for rice. The other day charge extra for onions and bell peppers. Today they handed us weird packaged sauces and it had a hand stamp of halal guys. It didn't taste like the original white sauce at all. Then he said foundation machine isn't working and buy bottles. We stood for a bit when asked for a bag to take food home. Both employees working were fighting with each other and made my kids feel unsafe. Restaurant smelled like something old and tables were not clean either. I really want this management to take action and change employees. read more

I finally made my way to the Aurora location for Halal Guys. I've had it in Korea and it was quite good. I ordered the small plate and it comes with a lot of food. I had the beef gyro platter with rice, veggies, and hummus, and falafel. Honestly, the best part is the white sauce. The white sauce just adds a nice extra oomph to your tastebuds. The pita bread was quite good. At the same time, I also ordered the bbq pita bread to see what the difference is like. Ordered Halal from DoorDash & NEEDED to come here & tell you all how good it is. I've ordered to go, ordered from an app & been in to dine in & the food consistency is incredibly hard to beat. I normally get the chicken plate & it hits the spot every time. This place is great! Casual ambiance and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have been meaning to stop by here for several months and finally did at the recommendation of several coworkers who eat here regularly. I was very impressed. I have not had a lot of Middle Eastern cuisine but this is some of the best I've had. You can tell that everything is very fresh and made with high quality ingredients. Simple yet delicious flavors all blended together. I got the beef gyro bowl with white sauce. The regular size made enough for two meals for me but I ate it cold the next day and it was just as good. The pita slices seemed a bit stale and were just alright. The baklava chocolate cheesecake is to die for! Not overly sweet with just the right amount of chocolate flavor with crunchy pecans on top. I dined here several times in the past while living in Aurora. Unfortunately, I didn't give Halal Guys a well deserved five star review. Yesterday, I attended a community event which I very much enjoyed. Visiting The Halal Guys was a nice bookend to the day. This place is located on Alameda Avenue in Aurora, just down the road from Aurora City Hall. It's also located in a small plaza with other restaurants. There is a Five Guys Burger and Fries a few stores down from Halal Guys. Parking is sort of right so leave that bigger vehicle at home, if possible. The Halal Guys is similar to Chipotle or Qdoba in terms of how food is ordered, made and served. Just replace the food cuisine with Middle Eastern. Now, I'm very biased with Middle Eastern food as it's a favorite of mine. I feel that Halal Guys do a pretty good job of providing quality food with reasonable prices. I ordered a regular size plate. They offer regular or large. I feel that the regular size gives you plenty of food where you will leave feeling full. I choose gyro (of course) for my protein and loaded it up with rice along with various veggies. I was impressed that my server didn't skimp on the rice. Their rice is really good! For my entree and soda (bottle of Coke Zero), the total bill was $15+ which I feel is very reasonable. Also, that's tax included. I ate my meal in the restaurant. There are plenty of tables to sit at while enjoying your meal. Some of the tables were a bit dirty. They could've used some wiping down after previous patrons finished their meals. They also have uni-sex restrooms as well. They were fairly clean and not trashed. Overall, good and consistent experience with Halal Guys. Wish they had one down in Castle Rock! I will definitely consider Halal Guys for a great lunch or dinner option when I visit Aurora again. Looking forward to my next visit! If you haven't tried Halal Guys, what are you waiting for?! Another amazing recommendation for the day!!!! First time visiting this fabulous restaurant and will definitely be back. We had a Regular Beef Gyro Platter & Regular Signature Spicy Chicken Platter. A 4 Piece Falafel Order with a side of dipping sauce and a Baklava to go. For our platters we took the recommendation of employee and we were not disappointed. He laced it with 3 different sauces. Be careful with the hot sauce, it's pretty hot. If you don't like hot sauce I would not recommend it. We ended our meal with an outstanding Baklava. We moved here from California prior to halal guys opening and craved it quite often. Imagine my joy when it finally opened here! For those who have never been, the concept is much like a Panda Express or chipotle where you start at the beginning of the line to pick your dish - whether it be a wrap or platter. I usually go for the beef gyro platter and add in the olives and onion. I love a generous amount of white spread drizzled on top - none of the spicy for me! A comfort food for sure. read more

Walked in noticed how everyone was really busy getting prepared for a lunch rush. However we were greeted quickly and the menu was explained to the both of us as we went down the line of choosing toppings and sauces and a protein. I am so glad I got a combo bowl because I was not a fan of the chicken. It was very bland in taste along with the rice. But whatever the seasoning is on the beef brought that whole other half of my bowl to life. Their white sauce was absolutely amazingggg. I asked for a small side of it so I could dip my fries in it - drool worthy! My husband got a chicken bowl and was happy he got the red sauce because it gave the chicken a slight touch of taste but not much. I'm giving it 4 stars only because the rice and chicken were lacking a splash of taste. The Halal Guys was popping up everywhere on Yelp when it first opened up and I just knew that I had to try it. On a Sunday around 7 I decided to give it a go and man was I impressed. I love the wall designs and bright colors, it really gave the place lots of life. I was greeted upon entry and the staff were helpful and efficient. The ordering system is a lot like Chipotle and it was fast and easy. There is not a lot of menu options which makes choosing your meal quick and painless. I opted for the chicken platter and they sure do give you a big heap of everything. There was a brief moment where I thought they were putting a ton of shredded cheddar cheese on my plate. I soon realized upon closer inspection that it was the rice *smacks forehead*. I had a good laugh about that. Anyways, the food is incredible! The white sauce adds nice flavor and added taste. The chicken was a bit dry, but the white sauce helped with that. Also, I would definitely listen to your fellow yelpers when they talk about the hot sauce. It's no joke. Seeing the Halal Guys sign pop up was seriously the Mr and I's dream come true. We have missed this spot TERRIBLY since we moved from the East Coast and wouldn't you know it, we buy a house RIGHT down the street! It's food fate. I will say, nothing will ever beat the deliciousness of the OG food cart in NYC - I don't know if their griddles just have ALL the flavors baked in from the decades of cooked meat memories, but that flavor is just unmatched. Still, I will take a Combo Platter with extra white sauce ANY day from ANY chain and will do a happy dance all the same. If you've never been, definitely give Halal guys a try. It's quick, it's easy, and it's delicious! There are some additions to the chains that the food truck didn't have, like the extra toppings and hummus which was pretty good! Love the fact that one of my NYC favorites has finally branched out to Colorado! Although Halal Guys is now a chain, they still have all the essentials- rice, meats, veggies, white sauce, hot sauce, and more. There are even a few extras that the original carts don't have such as fries and baklava. The taste is comparable to the original carts, however, if you have ever had it fresh off the grill in NYC, something is lacking. Maybe it's the fact that it's a bit pricier (understandable with more overhead in a brick and mortar location). Or maybe it just doesn't taste as fresh; it's not quite as steaming hot right off the grill when you order since the meat is already prepared in advance and the kind of just warm it on the grill when you order in store. I do like the fact that there are two size options if you're not quite as hungry for a full sized plate though. In general, I have always been disappointed with the food in the Denver area. Typically, the food is mediocre at best and when you do find a really good meal it's always overpriced. Growing up in New York; I've grown accustomed to amazing food for amazing prices so Denver has always fallen short of that expectation. Having said that, I am SO glad that the Halal Guys finally have a presence in Colorado. The food is great, the staff is super friendly, and the prices(although more expensive than the food truck in Manhattan) are still decent. The staff apparently was also trained in the NY food truck so they can perfectly prepare and serve food in Colorado. The hummus was very good - not the best I've ever had, but again, above average. I got the combo platter, added hummus. I first took a little bite of everything to check out the individual flavors. I was happy to see fresh gyros meat that wasn't burnt to a crisp and chicken that was well done but not dry. I then poured on some white sauce, dripped on a touch of red sauce (there are warnings on the packet that it is very spicy and they aren't joking!) , then mixed everything together into a saucy, hummus-y mess. I was running an errand in Aurora and this was on my to-try list. Positives - the employees were friendly and generous when I ordered the small combo. The rice had a good flavor, the gyro meat was fine. Chicken was minced into tiny, tiny pieces and had a hint of lemon, maybe? Falafel were not fried crisp and had zero flavor. I've eaten at other Halal Guys before and this place was pretty good, as well. I got the small Combo plate and my husband got the Large. Overall, delicious, the chicken being our favorite. The workers came around offering extra white sauce or hot sauce every 5-10 minutes! The reason why I'm docking a star is because some food items didn't measure up to my expectations: the falafel we ordered was a little dry in the inside and the baklava wasn't quite crispy enough. Plus I love that's the owners chose to open in Aurora, and one of the most diverse in global cities in Colorado. It's awesome to see it in the shopping center near other diverse, culinary options. I have been in the restaurant before and it's a fun vibe. The most recent order was takeout/delivery. We ordered takeout and paid the ~$10 delivery service fee (arrived via a Lyft driver) to have three bowls delivered on a Sunday evening. We all enjoyed our beef gyro bowls with a side of pita, hot sauce and white sauce. I have been here before and was definitely disappointed in the chicken bowl. Plus, we have ordered takeout and the chicken is always dry or overcooked so we no longer get chicken as the meat option. I definitely recommend getting the beef gyro instead of chicken at HG. The gyro meat is delicious! To me it's very comforting and enjoyable! It's like an Americanized Middle Eastern Taco bowl instead of ground beef or shredded beef it's beef gyro meat. Naturally loving middle eastern food I was super pumped to try this new spot everyone has been talking about. Popped in and got the meat combo and thought it was great! Chicken and Gyro, atop a bed of rice, lettuce and tomatoes. You can also add some toppings, and their luscious white sauce they are famous for and their spicy sauce! So dang good! Added a few extra packed of hot sauce as the amount they put on is pretty weak but two sauce packets was a perfect little kick of heat That was very enjoyable! I'm going to keep this short and sweet: the meat is delicious (the chicken might be my new favorite), the vegetables are fresh, the basmati rice is aromatic, the pita bread is fluffy, and the sauces are on point (the hot sauce is actually spicy, beware). And let me tell you, everything was on point! Though the French fries were on the "soggier" side (most likely due to the chaos of their grand opening), I thoroughly enjoyed the lightly salted crinkle cut fries along with my two entrees. The entrees were everything I would want in a meal: flavorful protein with veggies that cut through the heaviness. The restaurant, itself, has a nice casual vibe. There is a nice mural spanning the main wall and details on how the franchise came about. Though there is not a lot of space dedicated to the line, there is more seating inside with booths and tables. The interior is similar to many other "fast food" restaurants, in the best way possible.
