Combo Chicken Wings and chicken Platter

Craving a little bit of New York, Tim and I drove down to Riverside to try Halal Guys. I really wanted to love it. It was... just okay. The meats weren't as hot as I would've liked. Everything is pre-cooked and sitting in warming trays, then assembled. By the time they added the super cold salad, dressing, and sauces, it brought the temp down even more. I will say though...the white sauce and hot sauce were on point. Flavor was there. It just wasn't the same as standing in New York eating it straight off a truck. It had full potential. Maybe next time I'll ask them to warm the meat more, but this time it didn't quite hit like I hoped.

Overview: Service was amazing 10/10, food tasted alright, prices are affordable ---- Small Platter $13.49 (price before student discount): - comes with choice of protein (I chose beef gyro), rice, lettuce, tomato, pita bread, onions, green peppers, jalapeños - topped with white sauce and bbq sauce (I like the bbq sauce the best) - student discount was available - solid meal, but didn't really like the flavor of the gyro (next time I'll try something different) - you can also choose a combination (up to 2) of their proteins ---- Notes: - service was so great, very patient with me ordering and taking my time bc I didn't know how it worked, super friendly - parking can be tough bc it's shared with a bunch of other businesses in the plaza - lots of indoor seating, ambiance was what you'd expect ---- Overall: it was my first time here, I'd give it another shot and maybe try some of their other proteins or desserts

I ordered double gyro plate if I recall correctly. This is a picture from a couple months ago because I forgot to post it on yelp. I would give this place a 3 because the meat is pretty good as well as the sauces, but 20+ dollars for double meat? I ordered double meat and they skimmed so much on the meat and gave me like no protein I even asked for more and they said they couldn't give more which is why I'm ranking this place as a 3, would rank lower but the price, location, as well as the amount of sauces and sides they give you is pretty reasonable. As a whole, this place is like so-so at max!

This was my first time trying Halal Guys and wow: they were actually really good! The beef was so tender, soft, and incredibly flavorful. You could tell it was cooked perfectly. I'm not sure exactly what kind of rice they use, but it tasted like saffron rice,,,super fragrant and really yummy. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, which balanced everything so well. I got the chicken and beef combo with white sauce on top, and the sauce was amazing kind of like ranch, creamy and flavorful without overpowering the meat. The ambience was nice and clean, but honestly what really stood out was the customer service. 10/10, no question. Since it was my first time, the employee went above and beyond;) letting me try every single type of meat, joking around, and making my friends and me laugh. He kept the energy light and fun while still being super helpful. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed interacting with customers, which made the whole experience that much better. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Originally had Halal guys in NY and now happy to have them in the IE. As usual it's all about that white sauce. Don't sleep on this place!!!

Food was good. Clean environment, nice customer service. My stomach did not agree with the flavor. Also, paid for toppings that I thought were included. The nice service made me stay, but not knowing what to order, makes me question if I will return.

Love me some Halal Guys but this location didn't quite hit for me. The meat lacked flavor and was on the dry side. They were very generous with the white sauce though, which I appreciate. Inside was clean and there are plenty of tables.

My chicken was straight up grey. This is nothing like the east coast halal guys and really shows what's happens to chains when they expand like this. Only gave 2 stars because the rice was good. Don't bother going here

The food court had a variety of options and there was ample seating inside and out. All the indoor tables were taken but ambiance was nice and seemed busy with plenty of patrons. We decided to try Fufu's and it was pretty good. It reminded me of a Mediterranean chipotle and I thought the food was pretty fresh. The cashier was nice and gave me the option to choose half lettuce and half rice. I liked the chicken with the buffalo sauce and the rice + lettuce combo tasted nice with the protein. I liked the additional toppings of the pickles and tomatoes because it tasted refreshing with the other foods. My friend unfortunately did not really like his meal. He got a beef kabob and other toppings but the meall overall didn't taste good to him. He also only had the option of just rice and wish he was presented with the option of half rice, half lettuce. Overall, it was a fresh eat and I'd eat it again for a quick lunch.

Service was fast, but what stood out was that the cashier still took the time, with a smile, to explain parts of the menu when we had questions. The prices are surprisingly affordable. When my mom hesitated because of the language, they made the effort to speak Spanish to make her feel comfortable, which meant a lot to us. We were served at our table, and honestly, the first bite was heavenly. I thought I already loved Greek food, but this went beyond anything I've tried before. Definitely coming back

Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit more enjoyable. Prices are around $20 per plate, which is reasonable, especially since we ordered a few dishes and shared everything. Service-wise, the wait time was a bit longer than expected. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out, and it felt even longer considering it wasn't a busy weekend. Not a huge issue, but something to keep in mind if you're really hungry. Food was interesting in a good way. The curry dishes have a lighter color and a different flavor compared to typical Indian cuisine. You can tell it's a Pakistani style. I enjoyed trying something different, although I personally still prefer the richer, more familiar Indian flavors. The samosas were very good, and the green sauce, I believe it's called hari, was especially delicious and added a nice kick. The mango lassi drink was a surprise highlight. I'm usually not a big fan of mango lassi, but this one was super delicious. Honestly felt like a hidden gem on the menu. ***One thing to note, check your receipt before paying. They already include an 18% gratuity, and there's still a section to add an additional tip. Overall, the food was delicious, portions were satisfying, and we all left full and happy. Solid 4 stars. I'd come back again, just with a little patience for the wait.

I love the cafe and bakery as their desserts and manaqish is the best around but the girls that work there always seem unhappy and bothered to see minority women customers; they seem quite discriminative and judgmental and overall, deliver horrible customer service and should learn more about interpersonal and public communication because they're horrible. The people saying the vibe is off are correct. The owner holds a strong and friendly presence in the business and is always welcoming. The food at the restaurant is great although I mostly get the cheese flatbreads or cheese and zaaztar. These are basically Levantine pizzas and I argue they are better than pizza and no offense to Italy. The cheeses have more character and pungency than mozzarella and are palatable for just about anyone. I love Mediterranean cuisine in general and if you love it too, please try this food! They also cater. I really appreciate and love how clean and aesthetically appealing the establishments are. I give them a five-star rating because the food is excellent, the establishment seems very clean and the owner is present and welcoming, but if I wanted to, I'd give them two stars because of the girls that give such terribly unprofessional ugly looks to me and apparently, to others as well from reading the reviews. Those girls would be fired immediately from the double Forbes five-star establishment I work at. The most important part of our uniform is a genuine and welcoming smile and always greeting guests with direct eye contact is non-negotiable. They're young and are still learning so I won't rate the restaurant poorly because of some immature girls.
