Good food, fast service. Atmosphere could be warmer. But food is good, and they're generous on the protein, so 4 stars.

I really needed something to eat late at night and also didn't feel like cooking. I decided to try out the Halal Guys after watching my colleague practically vacuuming up the food from earlier on. I appreciated how quickly the order was ready. Their food didn't disappoint! I am used to eating spicy food so I felt they were under-seasoned and bland. I preferred the chicken instead of gyro meat because I thought it tasted less gamey. I also loved their shawarmas. I wouldn't mind ordering again with just chicken. I would add extra cucumbers and tomatoes on my own. Perhaps some extra mint leaves. Their white sauce was delicious as well. Looking forward to ordering from them again. Rounding up a 3.5 to a 4 because of the otherwise solid service despite it nearly closing time and honoring my request of not adding lettuce.

Just the average halal chain. Nothing that would bring me back for a second time. The flavor was fine and the portion size also good, so no real complaints. I was totally co fused when ordering and the staff didn't really help with that . Just an fyi, Seating for any group over 4 is just not possible here.

It was a good bowl but forgot what I ordered. I think it is #1 chicken gyro bowl.

It is one of the best gyro places that I have ever been to. During lunchtime, there was not much traffic in the parking lot, which I found to be a plus for me. I found the store to be very clean and well organized, with a great selection of food and drinks to choose from. It was not overwhelming to order and made it easy for me to make a choice. I found the staff to be okay. They weren't very friendly but they weren't rude either. In addition to the food of the flavor being amazing, the portions of the food were very generous as well. Overall, it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. The service was adequate and the place was very clean and organized.

It has been awhile, since I ordered from The Hallal Guys and I was in the area, so I stopped by. The counter helper was so nice, but my order fell short. First, of all I ordered felafel and somehow I ended up with chicken. To make things worse, the chicken was dull, dry, and overcooked. I asked for only a little rice and more salad, but somehow got a large serving of rice. The lettuce did not taste fresh. I was very disappointed. The side of hummus was very good. It was creamy and delicious. The pita bread was fresh and warm. I hope that The Hallal Guys can straighten out there issues. This location needs some help and attention. I hope they improve.

This was our first visit for carryout for a late night dinner at 9 pm on a Wednesday. It was not crowded. We tried the beef gyro for $9.99. This came with lettuce and tomato. Plus, it is optional to add onions, olives, green peppers, or hot peppers at no extra charge. It was a big sandwich and filling. However, the pita bread was not soft. The 2 employees were friendly. Next time, we will try the rice platters.

The first time i had this was when i was living in new york. The Halal Guys on 14th St quickly became my post drinking spot on the weekends. The portions were always plentiful and the food was fresh. Once i moved out of the city i didnt think id experience this greatness again. Im glad to say i was wrong. The halal guys on rockville like slaps. Highly recommend

Not my favorite. Flavors are pretty bland, I missed the rich and tasty flavors halal foods usually have. The ingredients are pretty cheap, that tzatziki sauce tasted like anything but tzatziki, like if it was made with cornstarch but not with actual cream. I didn't like having whole olives inside the sandwich because it was difficult to eat but this could be just me! :-P The person serving food was rude and not so patient with new customers like me. Not going back.

I don't understand the craze with Halal Guys. I like that the original New York City cart was opened til really late and was a good option if you had the late night munchies, but nothing special. I ordered the chicken/gyro rice platter, which also came with lettuce, tomatoes, and pita. You can add as much or little red or white sauce as you want. The food was really greasy and the gyro meat was too salty. It's also pricey for what you're getting. And that white sauce that everybody raves about? It's just basically mayonnaise and black pepper. Nobody cleaned the tables when I went.

Goodbye Moby Dick forever! Thank you for opening up this location much closer to my area than New York! My friend and I came yesterday afternoon and thankfully the line was short. Despite of the snowy weather we came through with such excitement! The line to get in was less than 5 minutes which is why I waited and dodged the grand opening. I ordered the combo platter with gyro and chicken and the portion size with the regular was massive. I couldn't finish the whole platter so I will resort to the smaller size next time. The meats were seasoned very well. The famous white sauce was amazing!!!!! They gave me two large packets of the white sauce and smaller packets of hot sauce to-go. I tried a little bit of the hot sauce and my mouth was on fire for a while! The customer service was great. I have no complaints and I opened up a rewards program because I'm pretty sure I will be visiting Halal Guys regularly.

This location is a lot better than the Tysons location, friendlier service and better portion sizes. Is it me or does halal guys taste better as leftovers? I got the chicken platter with extra tomatoes and lettuce and the lady serving me had no problem giving me more vegetables. Thank you nice lady :) Overall, will definitely keep coming back.

The Manoushe was ready quickly and I was in heaven after my first bite. The vegetables tasted so fresh! The base of the Manoushe had the perfect amount of olive oil. It didn't taste greasy or heavy, and felt like the perfect lunch to enjoy the onset of summer. The aioli made me nervous that it contained egg because it was so creamy and delicious! Put your order in at the counter and shop while they make your food- it's so efficient! My go to order: -Combination koobideh: 1 beef kebab and 1 chicken kebab served over a bed of saffron rice and sides of lavash bread, grilled tomatoes, onion, butter and sumac. This feeds me and my husband for two meals- so worth it! -Hummus: they have the best hummus in Rockville!! Garlicky, smooth, and dare I say, luxurious. You HAVE to try it! -Shirazi: refreshing cucumber, tomato, and onion salad with I think dried mint and lemon. So simple but so good. I could eat a whole container of this with hummus and rice. -Fried eggplant dip: this is fabulous too, and tastes so unique with the whey ingredient. You just have to believe me and try it. The dry mint makes it taste like tea leaves and so fragrant. -Their sandwiches are fantastic too and remind me of Vietnamese banh mi with the pickles, deli meat, and fresh herbs. We like the Kalbas sandwich- garlic mortadella with pistachio! The market is my go to place for dried chickpeas, olives, walnuts, Barbary bread, Persian cucumbers, feta, Persian yogurt, local eggs (Poolesville), fresh and dried herbs, olive oil, and so much more! I cannot get the same quality elsewhere, and I appreciate their careful and thoughtful sourcing. They also make fresh cookies in house- my fave is the cookie mix that has like 5 different cookies. The staff is extremely friendly and kind, and the place is super well organized and clean. It's always so calming and enjoyable to shop there. Cava Mezze had some of the best customer service I'd ever experienced. The staff was so attentive--everyone from my server to the manager. Any member of the staff that simply passed my table made sure to ask me if I was enjoying my food or give me an update on the status of my food. My server also made sure to inform me about the restaurant's cuisine and menu before I ordered. As a solo diner, she made recommendations about what may be best since I wouldn't be sharing the small plates with a party. As for the food, I ordered the saganaki and grilled octopus. The restaurant also provided complimentary pita and harissa. The pita came out warm and the harissa was actually one of my favorite parts of the meal. The saganaki was good, but was ultimately just warm cheese; So as a solo diner, the $16 cost wasn't worth it to me. If dining alone, I probably would spend my money on a more unique appetizer like the hush puppies or mezze tasting. The elements of the grilled octopus were good, but felt like they were slightly off or missing something when paired all together. The grilled squid was tasty (well seasoned and smokey), but had a few too many burnt pieces for my preference and was /slightly/ tough. I still really enjoyed the flavor of it though. The fava puree was sooo good! Again, it had a great, slightly salty flavor that I really enjoyed. I think it was perhaps the brininess of the capers that threw off the flavors off, but the dish felt 100% more balanced once I mixed in some of the complimentary harissa! I really enjoyed my time at Cava Mezze and am excited to return to try more items from their menu. This restaurant is solo-date approved!
