My friend and I decided to check out this place as we were looking for new brunch spots in the area. It's a quaint little coffee shop with a welcoming aura. There are tons of drinks to choose from -- I opted for the freshly squeezed orange juice. We sat on a table and the person working was very nice and let us know about their daily specials. I am Mexican and I figured that I could handle any spicy chilaquiles that come my way. I was wrong and incredibly humbled by these chilaquiles. The taste is great and I enjoyed the chilaquiles but I do think they are too spicy for the average consumer. I think having a small disclaimer saying that they're spicy would be nice. Before a recent experience, I would have said that this place is pretty good. They had really good lentils and chilaquiles.... SPICY too! But recently we ordered a lot of breakfast burritos for work and they were just potatoes and you could not tell there was any chorizo in there at all. No one ate the burritos and it went to waste. Their coffee is good but nothing special. Stuff you could make at home and may even come out better at home. Overall a good spot, just not good for breakfast burritos? The cucumber, chia and lime agua fresca was perfect. My girlfriend had the lentil sopa and it was the best we have ever tried. So, so good. Not sure what happened to this restaurant but when they first opened, the food was way better and it wasn't that expensive. I recently got Chilaquiles and they were about $16-$17. They went up! The beans you can tell (being a Latino myself) are the cheap dark brown beans that you could buy for like a dollar at the $.99 store. Rice was OK. Chilaquiles were OK. Nothing's spectacular. They need to bring down their prices. They're getting too extreme with the prices. Example, For two plain pancakes They charge $10-$12 -?which is ridiculous. When they first started they had delightful staff working here, the girls were friendly and welcoming. But after about a year the original staff they had changed and so with this change the staff they hired were simply rude, disrespectful, and overall unprofessional! The owners wife in specific is very unprofessional and problematic! I was once trying to order alfredo and this lady thought I was talking about her husband! She began to give me attitude and literally looked like she wanted to fight me! After this incident I stopped coming here. There have been other instances that these people have been very unprofessional but I'll leave it at that. The service had waitresses that were, imo, inexperienced and it hampered my experience. Not much friendliness and they didn't ask the simple questions like, "would you like more coffee?" when they saw an empty cup. But the real annoyance for me was saying that it would be a charge of $1.99 for a coffee refill when I did ask for a refill. They have many types of coffee drinks but I had regular coffee with my breakfast. I don't remember ever being charged for coffee refills with a full breakfast at any other establishment. read more

I ordered delivery--got things that typically travel decently--but the food was veryyyy disappointing. Everything was soggy. They obviously did not toast the bread for the avocado toast and they stacked one loaded slice of bread on toppp of the second slide of bread with avocado on it. Just a mess. Then the pancakes were oily. Wasn't butter, some sort of oil. The bananas and strawberry's were old and slimy. I'm so glad I found this place. Great food great service ! I ordered the Egg, ham and cheese bagel and it was made really well, good portion size and prepared very quickly, it was really good ! I also had a hazelnut coffee and i'm really glad they also carry almond milk. I also had their Codito soup was really good homemade style.
