I had the ham Serrano sandwich with arugula and cilantro dressing and a drip coffee. Wow. Very tasty. I'm not sure where they get their bread from but it just melts in your mouth. Coffee was great. The coffee is good. Don't get me wrong. Absolutely love the drinks here but the owner has the worst customer service I have ever seen. There have been multiple occasions where I come in order and he is very rude. But today was the last straw for me. (Literally) I placed a online order through DoorDash for pick up and I arrive to the shop with nobody inside not a single customer or employee to greet me. I waited a few minutes to see if anyone would come out and nobody did. It was a ghost town until 15 minutes later after I kept asking hello out loud and squeaking my shoes to see if I could summon anyone that he finally came out and I told him hello. I have a DoorDash order and he said name? Ticket.? nothing?? and started walking off and I told them my name and he just got my drink and I told him can. I at least get my straw and threw it at me. Normally I don't get frappes because it's pure Sugar and ice but my gf got one and it looked really good so I got one too and they did not disappoint. The frappes are great. I've been a LOYAL customer for over 10 years until today. The owner's poor customer service was the last straw. So I called the store to inquire on my order that was canceled mid way to my residence. A male with an accent responded, which I recognized as the owner. As I've been to the location numerous times and have spoken to him. In person, he is polite. I told him that my order was canceled via DoorDash. I asked him who canceled the order and he said I did. I told him I did not. I told him that I got a picture confirmation that it was picked up and on its way. He said to reorder and hung up the phone rudely. I was in shock as my experience in the last 10 years has been pleasant with the owner. I called again, he answered and muted the call. I called again requesting to speak to owner to submit a complaint. I asked if he was the owner and he said he was not. But it was him. I asked for an email and he said no. He said that I can't speak to the owner. He then said the owner was in Texas and won't be back to July. He hung up the phone call again. So the main critique for my review today is the customer service. A wonderful young lady had initially taken my order at the register - full of energy, kind, warm, and welcoming. She was accommodating towards customizing and modifying my drink orders and allowing me to change the direction of the tables (Note: the table setup I was at and chose has it where my laptop would get the glare of the sun through the window). I had asked her if I could just change the direction of the chair/couch and she was more than accommodating to allow me to do so. The older Asian gentleman who seemed to be the owner appeared to be displeased with the accommodation whereby the young lady had to relay that he wanted it back the way it was to which I reverted it. I had one other person with me and was able to use the restroom despite having a closed signage on it. Later on, it appears that the older Asian man/owner was the only one in the store and I had requested to use the restroom, however, he stated that there was no paper and he had to go out and purchase some. As a result, he closed the store temporarily, kicking us out and placing a signage out the store indicating he will be back in 15 minutes. It was to my surprise the company I was with had revealed that there was plenty of paper at the time of use. It was quite appalling that his demeanor did not seem fit for a customer-oriented setting nor was there adequate logistical preparation if you have to go out mid-day and close your store due to lack of basic hygiene supplies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The pictures here on this Yelp are nice but there wasn't as many rear tables available as I had initially perceived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do not envision myself revisiting this place as the drinks were okay, the furniture wasn't as comfortable for long periods of sitting, and ultimately disappointed in the customer service from a particular staff or possibly owner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It seems there are other reviews also mentioning the same individual. The sandwiches were ok. The service is always basic. The place is usually quiet with a couple people studying during the week. On the weekends, it can get busy with more people hanging out.
