My fiancé first introduced me to the noodle and since then, we eat here about 3-4 times a month. It's that good and there are just enough options on the menu that you won't get bored with the food. It's called The Noodle for a reason and these are truly the best hand pulled noodles I've ever had. Pair that with their amazingly seasoned protein choices and you've got a winning recipe. Ordered the Dapanji online and it was ready within 10 minutes. Super flavorful and spicy! It's difficult to find a place that does dapanji well, but this place hit the spot. Great little noodle spot in Harlem. Spicy cumin lamb noodles are amazing. The delivery is fast and the pickup is so fast my food is always waiting for me when I arrive. The ingredients always taste fresh. The spice level is not a joke though -- I always go for medium (which is spicy enough for someone who loves El Yucateco green habenero sauce) but my masochist husband goes for spicy and he loves it . Reliably delicious at a great value--my favorite neighborhood restaurant. The Noodle pretty much does just one thing (stir fry Chinese noodles) but they do it amazingly well. You're picking a protein, a style of noodle, some additional flavors (traditional, curry, cumin, or ginger), and a heat-level of spicy. It's a large amount of food--enough for one great big meal or two reasonably sized portions (great as leftovers). The traditional noodle with chicken is my fave and I always order from this place and have never had an issue until today. I always order takeout but today my partner and I decided to eat there. Both our orders were extremely salty, I tried to eat it anyway but just could not. The noodles were ok but the chicken was extremely salty and inedible to the point that it would be considered a health hazard. We asked the staff if we can have our orders replaced, they immediately called their manager Rodrigo and his response was that they always season the same and they would only offer ONE replacement order for the both us. We asked that they call Rodrigo their manager back because his response was unacceptable, the food was inedible. I even asked the staff in the back to try it themselves and they would not. They called him again, and his response was the same, we were even able to hear the conversation because he was being so loud with the staff, we even asked to speak to him directly and they would not connect us to him (I assume his choice). We asked for a refund on both orders which he refused to do and told us to write a complaint for a refund. UNACCEPTABLE. One of the staff was nice enough and told us the chef would redo both orders. It was already 10 pm and they close at 10:30pm. I asked if they could package replacement to take home. I'm home and all they did was give us back our same orders after we even tipped for them being what I thought was kind after their manager's inexcusable way of handling the situation. I'm extremely disappointed at this place as I've boasted about their establishment before and have enjoyed their food many times in the past. Manager Rodrigo is rude and should not be handling a restaurant this way. This food is inedible and I want a full refund on both our orders. read more

I have been eating at this place once a week for over a year. I usually get my food to go without any issues until tonight. I was waiting for my order and then I hear the contents of my order rattled off, but handed to someone that just got there. I asked the man if that was my order he handed over. He asked me what my order was, went in the back and came back and said it was coming right up. I had a bad feeling, but thought that maybe she had the exact order that I had placed. Everyone around me got their food and I'm still waiting. He then came up to me and told me that they had run out of my particular noodle and it would take longer. I knew something was so odd. Then the lady that had my order walked in with a bag and he handed her a different bag and she left. I stood up to look to see what he would do with the bag she handed him. He walked near the cooks, then to the front where they bag the orders all the while holding the bag she gave him. He came out with a smile to hand me my food and I told him no! I told him that I had watched the whole thing go down. He lied to my face and claimed that it just came out, it didn't. I should have opened right there and then to show it was not hot, but I was just so mad that he continued to lie when I watched it all happen and he tried to gaslight me. This place is amazing! Some of the noodle items remind me of the authentic northwestern Chinese food that I've had. I particularly love the cumin lamb/beef stir fried noodle and the traditional stir fried noodle; the beef herbal noodle soup is also something I keep going back to. I also love that there are multiple types of noodles to choose from. The portion is very generous; one order of noodle is plenty to share between two people. OVERALL: -The noodles (and all other items I've had) are great! -Fast, efficient delivery -I most recommend the traditional stirfry w/ ribbon noodles and chicken, but I've never had anything bad here. -Be wary of the spice level: there is variance in each level of spiciness. -They put cilantro on top of the noodles, but you can always request that they exclude it or just pick it off yourself. ARRIVAL: I ordered delivery from here this past Thursday night. I've never been to the restaurant in person, but I've gotten delivery from here many times. FOOD/DRINK: This time I got the traditional stir fry w/ ribbon noodles and chicken. The food is always very good. You can really taste the fresh quality of the noodles. They have that specific texture and chew that only freshly hand-made pasta has. The lagman (aka pressed) noodles are also good, but I prefer the ribbon kind. I also find the flavors/spices especially unique from other chinese noodles. I believe it is in a light, tomato-based sauce, which is savory, spicy and delicious. The pork dumplings are also particularly excellent. You have to be careful of which level of spice you choose with the noodles because there is always some variance. For example, I usually like the medium-spice, but sometimes it's a bit closer to low-spice and sometimes a bit closer to high-spice. If I get the medium-spice and it's on the higher end, I cannot eat it. Therefore, I've learned to go with the low-spice instead. Furthermore, I have found that no matter what level of spice you get, it is more spicy on the back-end than the front-end (if you know what I mean). In spite of this, I continue to order from here again and again because the food is just so good. SERVICE: The food is always on time and still hot when I get it. Sometimes the whole dish will stick together in a large clump of noodles (especially with the ribbon noodles), but that's always a risk with noodle dishes. I've found this can be easily remedied if you dump the whole dish into a larger bowl and pull it apart with a fork. ATMOSPHERE/AMBIENCE: N/A SUGGESTIONS/NOTES: -They include chopsticks and plastic utensils even when I check the box that says not to include them. read more

Really love The Noodle and so glad they opened a location further east. The food is always fantastic - I usually get some combination of stir fried noodles, soup noodles or bok choy and am never left unsatisfied. The service and order time is also very prompt as well and typically ready 10+ minutes faster than anticipated which is wonderful when you're starving after a long day. My only critique is that sometimes the flavors can be a tad inconsistent. For instance, I always order medium spice on my noodles and have had occasions where the spice seems indiscernible and other times where its so spicy that it becomes hard to eat. Regardless, really love this place and is a great example of cuisine that can be hard to find without going down to Chinatown. read more

You can customize your spice level so your food is exactly how you want it, which is perfect.
