This is a brand new trendy foodcourt in the Friendship Heights neighborhood, opened on Dec 11, less than a month ago. It's located right above Whole Foods in the former PF Chang space. There is a full service restaurant, two bars and over half dozen food stalls. Seating seems to be a bit tight and limited as the indoor space is not very big and overall a bit dark - come warmer weather things'll be better as there are a lot more tables outdoors on the upper level patio. Today we tried Saoco Cuban Eats and Sky Lanterns. The Cuban sandwich was quite tasty and the spring rolls and fried dumplings at Sky Lanterns pretty good as well. Altogether for one Sandwich, 2 apps and one drink it came to about $40, not cheap as food courts go. There is wifi but they don't seem to validate parking - for that you have to go to Whole Foods.

So excited for this food hall to finally be open!!! There is a fantastic mix of cuisine and a large bar to sit and enjoy a beverage after work. Went with two coworkers for cocktails at 6:00pm and they still have Happy Hour until 7:00pm! Kimberly was our waitress and she was excellent! I asked her to make me a surprise drink with tequila and she came up with a delicious drink that didn't take me long to suck down! I really hope this takes off and more young professionals come to hang out in the area. Doki Doki Sushi and Saoco Cuban Eats are Five Stars! Looking to make this a new spot during the week :)

Would really like to know what the 7 chilies are And if they're blended so they don't melt my face, and where to park..

I asked for a half a pound of lean brisket. They did not understand the word lean. I had them cut off the 1 inch strips of fat, then asked The places selling chili what the seven chilies in the chili were and he did not know, Then asked if anyone had been overwhelmed by the spicy heat of the chili, The Young man seating people had no idea. I will wait and read reviews. They don't answer their phone. It would be nice to know how to get there from the Whole Foods parking lot without going Around outside?

The atmosphere is nice! Lively, but loud. At 7:30pm on a Saturday, the seating was limited but we managed to find a table. Super convenient that you can scan a QR code on the table and order. Then the food is brought to you! Sky Lantern is where we ended up ordering from (although you can order from multiple stands at once). The shrimp dumplings were good ($8) and the salmon bowl ($16) was alright. Some of the brown rice in the salmon bowl was undercooked and the serving was small and the bowl lacked in flavor overall. The service was quick and everyone is very kind. There's self serve water stations. Final takeaways are that it is expensive for the quality of food and the experience, but there are tons of options available no matter your craving or dietary restrictions.

    Definitely not boba

This review is directed towards AunTea Boba. I ordered a tea with brown sugar boba. The boba tasted like jelly, definitely not boba. When I asked about it, the person who made the drink was pretty rude. As someone who drank boba tea growing up, I can assure you it's not boba. I then showed the boba to the owner of Mimi's soft serve and she agreed with me. She said she was going to make me a new one. She went over and checked the package, and told me that the boba seemed to be precooked in Taiwan and sat in sugar water. Not sure if that's the reason the consistency was way off. She was nice enough to offer me a refund, but I didn't take it. I was really looking forward to a bubble tea place in our neighborhood, but I was absolutely disappointed. 0 star for AunTea Boba, 5 stars for Mimi's soft serve.

Super depressing- very few kiosks remain open. Looks like a ghost town inside. What a shame.

The setup is really convenient with multiple vendors and a full bar, so it's great for groups, casual outings, or even a quick solo stop. Here's what I tried: * From Mex Taqueria, I had the steak tacos--really flavorful and cooked well. They also have a great Taco Tuesday deal ($1.95 tacos with chicken, chorizo, or steak), which I'll definitely be back for. * Momo Hub had chicken dumplings that were juicy and packed with flavor. * The jerk nachos from The Champs Kitchen were one of my favorites--very well seasoned. * Claude Have Mercy was a standout. I tried the salmon tenders, shrimp sliders, and rum cake, and everything was really good. For drinks, I stopped by C3 Bar and tried the Watermelon Candyrita, Claude's Crush, and an espresso martini (The Commuter). All were well-made and complemented the food nicely. Another plus: select bar bites are $9.99 and cocktails are $10 when paired, which makes this a great option for a budget-friendly outing. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. It's a fun, laid-back spot with a variety of food options, and I can see it becoming a regular go-to.

I've only seen the area from the highways that are tree lined. I am quite amazed by how out of touch I was for this area. This mall is quite expansive. The one thing I love about the DMV area is that the malls are still thriving. Not to the point where every single store is filled, but no where near dead mall territory. I had some time to kill before I had to head back home and wanting to pick up some items. Parking here had me. I wasn't sure where would be the best place to park. I ended up in the outdoor lots and didn't even want to mess with the parking structure. As a note, early here means you will encounter a slew of parents with their children in tow. Be careful and mindful in the parking lot as they will be everywhere. The mall had a bit of everything in here. The typical anchors and national chains you would expect to find in a mall. Food court area was jammed with eateries and customers. I opted to not eat here. Would definitely come back. Especially on a lazy day. Good people watching, enough stores to grab whatever you might be thinking of getting, and ample parking.

But I was starving, so I went ahead and ordered the Sashimi Moriwase Donburi and Karaage Curry Donburi from Tamashi & Poki. And wow -- I was surprised! As I walked past to find a different lunch place, I saw a different door with an open sign in it, and noticed the "big crowd" inside. Popping in, I found four people. One looked to be taking pictures for social media. One was sitting at a table, one at the claw machine, and the last, very bored, at one of the counters. Not a great sign. So, the hall reminds me painfully of a mall food court. There are six ish restaurants along one side, lots of seating on the other, and it's literally otherwise a hall. A bar sits at one side, and that was indeed closed. The restaurants are little more than counters, and all have kiosks. Behind them is their presumably shared kitchen. The restaurants are all fast food style. You can order from any restaurant from any kiosk. I chose the Japanese restaurant Milan, and Gong Cha for boba tea (hi, my name is Joshua, and I'm a bobaholic). Gong Cha was good, Milan was okay, but I'm reviewing the space here. Oh, and one of the restaurants also sells cheap, $7 rings -- also a good sign. I did go to the restroom, and it was slightly terrifying. There's a sign over the urinals thats said "DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING." I am not sure what that meant, but I was careful not to touch any surface in the filthy bathroom. You ever use a restroom and you contemplate whether washing your hands after is a net gain or loss? Gross. After eating, I asked the one staff member where to put my tray, which was a single trash can on the far area. None of the restaurants really impressed me, and they're all chain-like. I can get better food in lots of other places, without the mall kiosk feeling. Like traditional malls, this place is painfully dying.
