I went there for onigiri and saw they had a nice variety. The place appears to be one restaurant with little"stands" that pretend to be different places but one person helps you for all of them with the possible with of the ice cream and dessert place which had a man sitting there but at which I did not eat. Order on a screen that asks you to give phone number and name then wants you to join their rewards thing. I just wanted to pay for my food so had to cancel my order and walk over to the cash register to order and pay, not a fan of that at all. I got the variety of onigiri (you select which 5 and the price is good.) I bit into the spam and kimchi , then bit again and found spam. 3 nice little cubes (imagine the little tiny dice you get in travel games) and some sauce. Finished it without one crunch of cabbage or any pickled vegetable. The shrimp tempura and there bulgogi were much more full. Kimbap was good, but deokbukki wasnt, korean fried chicken was soso, samgak kimbap wasn't, miso soup was too salty.. some other options might be better. Family liked sushi. Boba tea was fine, but the one I got was filled with ice and tasted more like a snow cone or slurpee from 7 eleven (some might like that). Maybe I'll try ramen or bulgogi next time. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh how I wanted to love you, especially after seeing mochi donuts on the Pike Bakery menu. I've been to this location for bubble tea a few times and it's a solid 4stars. Love the efficiency of ordering, flavors offered, and cleanliness of the dining area. It's like a pretty cafeteria with wooden furniture instead of the cheap planks you'd find in a school cafeteria. Then I offered the donuts and it dropped from a solid 4 to a 3. They looked pretty yet tasted...oily. Like they were fried in the same oil as a fish fillet. Not sure why or how that's even possible. We ordered a few of them and they all tasted the same. Warming them up didn't change a thing. Now, it could be that the items weren't as fresh. Perhaps it was an off day, especially since the other desserts were beautiful and appeared tasty. The Chocolate Mousse didn't make us happy either, but maybe the other ones were good. The employees are always friendly and parking is kind of jam packed, so maybe carpool? Order via DoorDash or Uber if you can? Either way, I'm sure there's an option for someone here that's delicious. Even with the sauces offered, the pork was beyond overcooked and rubbery to the point where I couldnt eat half of it even after smothering it in various sauces. What really sold my "im never coming back" is when I emptied my rice bowl to pack it up, and saw the bowl's paint was peeling off. Luckily only a little paint was on the food and it was easily visible on rice. But the fact I could scrape the paint off with my chopsticks was disgusting. If you can't decide what to eat, this is the place to go. They have a variety of different Asian food options- sushi, Japanese and Korean dishes, and also fried sandwiches and chicken. They have kiosks all around the store and you can order from multiple vendors at one time which is convenient rather than visiting individual stalls. They usually have Vietnamese food too, but the stand was closed when I visited I got the stuffed tofu skins from the sushi stand and it did take some time to prepare even though there were barely any customers in the store. The chicken skins were really good and weren't too spicy. However, the rice didn't seem to be cooked all the way and was a bit crunchy. I entered "vegan" into the search and all the vegan options populated. It was so easy to browse the menu with this feature. Additionally all the vegan items had the correct modifications made to ensure the meals were vegan. For instance the vegan bibimbap already had egg removed from it. I ordered the vegan ramen and it came out very quickly! Pike Kitchen has some chili powder and nori seasoning available near the utensils that you can use to jazz up your meal. I took full advantage of the free seasonings. The ramen broth was so creamy! It is the most comforting soup on a cold and dreary day. I also loved the variety of veggies with huge pieces of bok choy, mushrooms, and plenty of noodles. I do wish there was tofu in this bowl however I ate everything and felt plenty full. This place is nice in that you can choose from different places and still enjoy a meal with a friend although you each may have ordered different dishes. My friend and I both went to On Top which was a newer vendor since I had been a few months ago. We ordered Yubu as we were curious about this. Its basically Korean version of a sushi but size wise its about two sushi rolls. I got the Unagi (eel) one which was the best part of the meal. The fried rice is prepared well. Fries are crispy, but you don't want to wait to eat them because of the box they come in.

This is a great hassle-free place to get take out, although it can be a bit pricey and parking can get snarly on busy nights (if you don't mind walking there is usually parking in front of the stores right next door). We enjoyed the pork katsu curry bowl, which can be a surprisingly difficult dish to find...the ramen was just ok; the broth was a bit salty and toppings were skimpy but the noodles were good. The pho at the Viet Food was excellent with a light and tasty broth. Bubble tea at Monster Tea was also good... We will be back for more pho and katsu curry--and to try more dishes! read more

I live in Virginia, so wouldn't have known about or tried this place had it not been for meeting a friend who grew up in that area. Pike Kitchen is a casual dining spot with benches and tables for seating and walk up windows for ordering. For the entree food, you place your order and get a buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. Then you pick it up at the window on a tray. I had a dupbop bowl with chicken teriyaki. It was a massive serving and it was delicious. I didn't even need sauce because the flavor was so good. I added an order of fried chicken dumplings...perfection, again, even without the sauce. For dessert I had an oreo mochi donut. Had never had a mochi donut before, and I don't even eat oreos, but this was a deliciously chewy treat. It just tasted like chocolatey sweet goodness to me (rather than true oreo). I recommend this place!! read more

Updating - haven't been in quite some time. A few places have changed since I was last here - the taco place and the poutine businesses are no longer there and there is one stall that is empty right now (where the poutine place was). They have a nice selection of food and offer alcohol also. For most of the food (not all - Monster Tea, Bahn Mi) you order at one spot and can choose from several menus. You pay and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. I like the streamlined ordering experience. This time we went to try Onigiri, which is a triangular sushi rice food stuffed with your choice of filling (such as eel, bulgogi, spicy tuna, smoked salmon, etc.). It comes wrapped in a seaweed wrapper and has a special way of opening it (which we both failed at LOL). We tried the spicy tuna, crispy eel and the bulgogi Onigiri. The spicy tuna was the best, but we weren't big fans of the other two. The bulgogi was cold. If you've never tried it, it's worth trying, but it's a lot of rice. They are quite large - it's like a sushi pocket. Our other choice was a volcano "specialty sushi roll". My experience with most specialty sushi rolls is that they are normally 8 pieces, while standard rolls are 6, such as a California roll. And the specialty rolls are normally bigger (the individual pieces). The menu didn't specify how many pieces in the rolls, but I figured for the price, it would be 8. I got a Volcano roll, which is a California roll with spicy tuna on top. It came as 6 pieces and the spicy tuna was cooked, which I did not expect and which wasn't stated on the description on the menu. The roll was $13.95, which I thought was WAY too much for those 6 pieces. So this time, wasn't a great experience food wise, but I'd go back to try other things. I was looking through places on Yelp I haven't reviewed yet and to my surprise, Pike Kitchen was one of them... This is my go to Asian food/hang out spot. I come here once almost every week and if not every other. If you want Asian food but can't just settle on one speciality, come here to Pike Kitchen. The idea of "food halls" is so exciting having various restaurants in one convenient spot. This spot has 5 different food restaurants from Vietnamese to Japanese to Korean and one desert spot with bubble tea/soft serve. I personally get almost the same things here every time as pictured. The Vietnamese is very good and very fairly priced with a large bowl being only $12. The chicken katsu is so good here as well, this time for some reason I think I got more chicken somehow haha. They also offer French fries here that are either regular or flavored with one of them being a salt and vinegar flavor that is to die for, also they do the Five Guys fry thing here where they dump fries into the bag too which is very appreciated. They also sell beer here (not many options) but it is good enough if you want to drink a Corona or a Sapporo with your food. One of the main reasons I also come here besides the great food, they offer military discount! If you have a military ID, show it at the register and get 15-20% off! They also always play Star Wars on the tv for some reason here so for me that's just extra points. read more

Review from 2019. This alongside The Spot are two great food courts for Asian street food. Pike kitchen has a greater variety of Asian cuisine (Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc). The full meal type vendors like Japomen are not particularly authentic though. I've tried the tempura udon from Japomen. I didn't think it was very good for the price. They only provide a single shrimp tempura, which I think is pretty skimpy. I've also tried the fried chicken and that was decent. They make it fresh and hot. Hard to messup fried chicken. The bingsoo was good though. I've tried mango and you get a good portion for the money. There is limited surface parking. But there is a mini garage parking if you go around back. The spaces are pretty tight though. Overall: come here for the appetizer/dessert type foods. Go somewhere else if you want a good meal. read more

It's an Asian Food dining hall that features Japomen (Ramen and sushi), Vietnamese (pho, banh mi), Bowl Play (Korean: Bibimbop, dupbop, dosinak), Monster Snow & Tea (bubble tea and ice cream) Pike Bakery (pastries, macarons, mochi donuts), PK Chicken and Beer (think chicken sandwiches, chicken bites tossed in Asian sauces), Let's Taco, and Pop Up Poutine. I've had something from each place minus the taco spot. (Note: I've had the poutine when at a farmers market and it was really good). Tonight, we ordered delivery thru Uber Eats. Our fare came from Japomen, Viet, and PK. Chicken and Beer. Japomen: We ordered a Shrimp Tempura roll, which had cucumber, avocado, masago, and a sweet eel sauce, and a Katsu Bento Box. The sushi roll was $7.95, which is somewhat high for 5 pieces. Nonetheless, the taste wasn't too shabby. The bento box was for my daughter. Coming in at $15.95, you get Katsu chicken, 2 pieces of California roll, rice, seaweed salad, Japanese pickles and some slaw. The Katsu chicken and seaweed salad were quite yum. We ordered yakisoba with shrimp ($11.95) for the 5 y/o. She enjoyed it but the shrimp were small and not plentiful. However, it was an acceptable amount. It would've benefited from some type of sauce. PK Chicken and Beer: We ordered the spicy Basil chicken, which is like popcorn chicken tossed in a spicy Thai Basil glaze for $9.95. It had a good flavor but I was hoping that the chicken would be crispier/crunchier. That might be the fault of the UberEats' driver tho... My husband got the soy garlic cupbap, which is the soy garlic chicken bites over white rice with a side of pickled radish for $9.50. He enjoyed that as well. Viet: We ordered (2) Grilled Pork Banh Mi sandwiches. Ringing in at $9.50 each, it comes with complimentary beef broth, which is quite salty. The banh mi sandwiches were okay, but I would've welcomed more patè. The pork was seasoned, albeit I would've also welcomed more spices/marination. Great food hall that is a one stop shop for all my favorite foods - Japanese, Thai, Korean, bubble tea, etc. I love being able to bounce from stall to stall and order off the kiosks.
