I have a studio room that's between 400 to 500 square feet. I asked multiple companies for a quote and they responded with $70-$75 for the job. These people tried to charge me $120. When I told her about what the "normal" quotes were coming in at, she mildly insulted me by saying that she has to pay a livable wage. She then explained that the company takes $9/hour from each of their workers. So out of the $120 paid for cleaning, only $84 goes to the workers while $36 goes to the company. What a rip off for their workers. This place would take 1-2 hours to fully clean. That's $35-$70 an hour that should be going directly to the workers.... I would highly advise to stay away from this overpriced establishment. Plenty of other places that would kindly do it for cheaper, without the subtle insults. read more

I hired The Help Cleaning service for my daughter's apartment. They did an okay job for a twenty something adult, my daughter was impressed and appreciative of course because she was not paying for the service. I paid $367 for 2bed/2bath small apartment for a deep clean. I don't feel like a deep clean was performed, just an average cleaning. They do give you 48 hours to come back out and correct items; however, I was in town for a short visit and did not want to have to stop and have them come back to the home for "minor misses". Minor misses were like the base boards and not all the blinds were dusted, the top of the microwave was not cleaned and the crevices in the bathroom were not cleaned. The cleaning crew was nice and arrived on time. We did not stay in the apartment to supervise or do a walk-through at the end. If hiring this service I would recommend staying to supervise. Scheduling for the service was convenient. UPDATE: The company did contact me to return and fix the areas listed. However, we declined. I think they are professional service with timely and responsiveness. I would use them again, as no other service I am aware of offer to come back and fix within 48 hours. Additionally, they made this offer after the 48 hours. Very impressed with promptness and customer service. read more

This was the most professional, amazing job I could have asked for. I was hesitant about hiring cleaners as I don't do it often and it's normally costly and not always thorough. These cleaners did a remarkably impeccable job. It was truly a gift to come back home and find everything spotless and in its proper place. What the team did clean, they cleaned very well (except for the toilet and any counterspace where they would need to move something to clean it). They were friendly and easy to talk to and seemed to understand what I was looking for. Besides that, the total experience left a bit to be desired. Was quoted ~3 hours for the whole apartment. Told the team that 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom could be skipped, effectively cutting the cleaning space in half. Still took the full 3 hours. When done, the work was not comprehensive enough to warrant the cost. The toilet was not completed. Walls, select portions of countertops, and kitchen appliances were skipped (coffee machine wasn't even dusted). Ultimately, though, I hired this service expecting the best (due to reviews) and I got a couple of kids younger than me doing a good (but not great) job that left me wanting more. Two ladies showed up and they did not clean well at all, inside my fridge, inside the cabinets, everything was left untouched unless I asked them to clean it, even though these are cleaning points I mentioned during booking that I wanted them cleaned. I had to thoroughly clean after they left. I called the person who I booked with and he claimed they did clean well (even though he wasn't physically there) and after I showed him photos of me going over dirty spots, he said "they simply forgot" lol. Originally I had written a bad review for the help. But I had to completely remove it and rewrite it because of the amazing job the cleaners did AND because of Kandiie's level of professionalism. I don't want to get into what happened, but lets just say I wasn't pleased with what someone else had done with my place, this person was recommended by Kandiie, but she did not, I repeat, she did not work for Kandiie. But I wrote a bad review on The Help because I didn't know where else to write. Anyway, Kandiie was extremely apologetic and sent her people to come out and show me how The Help works. I am extremely pleased. Betty and Lidia are very sweet and professional. They know exactly what they r doing. My house is left spotless! Evening was great, the cleaners did a great job and worked quickly! The only hiccup we experienced was due to a lack of communication on arrival time. We scheduled cleaners to come at 1. Cleaners were a little late, no big deal. But when I messaged the company owner, she stated that the cleaners have an arrival window of 1 hour. I was never informed of this, I went back to through our conversation to double check. She even said "your appointment is at one." So when I questioned her about it, she said it's disclosed in the email, which I never got btw. I told her that we didn't get an email, but in the future it might be helpful to let people know that their appointment is a window and not an exact time, not just in the email after the conversation. She said oh yes, we always let people know.... So that was a little unclear. Make sure you verify your appointment time in advance if your scheduling time off work. Otherwise, service was great. So, with regard to my previous review, I've got an update. After emailing Kandii with my disappointment, and subsequently sharing that email as a review here on yelp, we've been in contact. Kandii was gracious enough to hear and understand my concerns. After a couple of email exchanges, she's gone above and beyond my expectations to make things right for me. Her excellent customer service is why I've updated my review to 3 stars, from one star. Running a small business can be tough, and I can understand why I had difficulties being satisfied with their service. While at the moment, I wouldn't recommend their service for a deep move in heavily detailed cleaning, I would say that if you just need basic service and regular cleaning, their rate and service should satisfy you. As I had said in my previous review, the people that arrive on-site are cordial and do an adequate job. I think that with her dedication to customer service and making things right after multiple jobs, I may give them another shot in a couple of months. Being that they are a small business, I think there are probably some things that need to be addressed, but her dedication to her customers (even when confronted with the fact that I would not be a customer) definitely gives me confidence that things will improve. Once they've got things pinned down, I have no doubt that this service will eventually one that I would use and recommend to others. I've used this company maybe three times and the cleaners have been quite thorough and I've been left happy. Although I was pleased with the final product, this time around a few things left me less than satisfied. I washed my dishes before the ladies arrived and left the dishes next to the sink to dry. Of the five or six things that I washed, one item was the pot/insert for my rice cooker. About halfway through the kitchen cleaning, I noticed that the cleaning lady (Lupe) was using my rice cooker pot for her soapy water/bleach/Awesome cleaner concoction. I felt my teeth grit but didn't say anything because I hate being "that girl". She could've asked for something to pour her cleaner in... I've got plenty of supplies for things like that. It was inconsiderate and kinda gross. Secondly, as the ladies were finishing up the last 3-4 minutes of cleaning and gathering their things I picked up the trash bag to take it to the outside bin. I just happened to see a brand new sudoku book (above pocket-size) in the very top of the bag. I took it out and asked the other cleaner (Karina I think), "Is this yours??" She hits me with the "Ooooooh I must have put that in on accident when I was picking things up." I felt a sour taste as I bit my tongue but I went ahead and asked, "Did you trash anything else??" and I sifted through the bag. That gave me serious trust issues. Don't throw belongings away and then lie. Turns my boyfriend had lost it under the bed. Bottom line - give them a cleaning bucket or run the risk of your cast iron skillet or slow cooker pot being used. Also, pay attention to what they consider trash or valuable so your stuff doesn't grow legs. *insert an eye roll here* Fin. read more
