The Hidden Kitchen was adorable! This breakfast spot is all outdoors in a (dog-friendly) garden-like patio setting. I loved the wildflower wall mural by the entrance and the canopy of greenery over the counter. For drinks, I chose the Bishops Buzz. This was so thick and delicious, I had to eat it with a spoon. It was more of a sweet treat than a source of caffeine though, and I had to grab a coffee elsewhere afterwards. I do wish they had more coffee options than this smoothie and drip. My friend and I ordered two blue corn waffles to share - the Morro Melt and Avila Avo. These were so filling, we definitely should've just shared one! I loved the texture of the corn waffle and the melty havarti cheese with caramelized onion. My friends enjoyed their waffles as well, including the San Luis Sunrise. Service was friendly and quick, and everyone left happy!

Arrived at 8:55 on Sunday morning, and only two parties in front of us in the queue. We had the San Luis waffle that comes with two over easy eggs, bacon and avocado. Perfect to split between two of us. We also had the immunity booster smoothie. We are not normally smoothie people but we liked this one because it was not too sweet. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in that little back courtyard area is cozy and comfortable. The drip coffee is delicious and comes with a bottomless cup! Great value. We also picked up some waffle mix to try at home!!

We had hidden kitchen in Cayucos a couple of years ago and I was excited to see they had one here. Their smoothies are the best smoothies I have ever had. I don't even like smoothies. They also have this blue corn waffles sweet and savory options. DELICIOUS ! I wish they had more coffee options but they offer drip. Love the cute small space. Shares the patio with a store.

The waffle was amazing, the house sauce is great. The wait was 45mins long for the one plate, so be prepared to wait. It's outside but the decor is cute. I will definitely come back

Interesting spot. Somewhat actually hidden funny enough. Food all spins off, acorn based gluten-free waffle option. Wouldn't say anything was amazing but I also believe it was somewhat original which I'm giving them extra points for. Smoothies are also decent. And the drip coffee was decent. I would return a pinch.

Hidden garden brunch spot in Cambria. Delicious big blue corn waffles available in savory and sweet. But also -- BEST smoothies I've had - super fluffy, thick, creamy. It's like ice cream. It's even better than Erewhon!

Went for brunch on Saturday around 10:30 a.m. and ordered at the front counter then found a seat in the cute courtyard with a view of the ocean. The food was brought out quickly and wow, flavors were perfect. Husband had the Moro melt and loved it. I had a veggie big fall bowl. The Cambria classic also lovely. Great place for brunch, have lots of options for gluten intolerant peeps.

Cute little spot that truly is a hidden kitchen. You'd miss it if you're not paying attention. We tried the Morro melt savory waffle with a blue corn waffle, pan fried organic turkey, havarti cheese, caramelized, onions, avocado, hidden kitchen sauce, and arugula!

*Visited around 10:30am on a Sunday :) I cannot reiterate how much I love the hidden kitchen. Even though this location is only open during the weekend, it's in the heart of downtown Cambria and honestly a perfect brunch spot. The seating is outside, and is very chill & quiet area. Ordering is fairly simple, you order with a staff member at the front of the shop and sit down with a number. Your order will be brought to your table by a very friendly staff member. Once done eating, it's pretty self serving when you'd toss your plate and put the utensils into a bin. OKAY THE FOOD: * you CANNOT go wrong with their smoothies here. Fair warning, they are pretty thick and SO filling but you're able to take it to go if you don't finish it! * Morro Melt Waffle: today was my first time having this dish and MY GOOOODNESS is it super tasty. It was very filling and not too heavy. 20/10 would recommend!

Fantastic food that allergen friendly. We had three of the waffles and the Gordon Greens smoothie and they were all delicious. Highly recommended. I'm a coffee snob and the drip coffee we surprisingly good for a big pot of drip. Medium roast and food full bodied flavor.

Mediocre waffles and very slow. Not worth the money. Not a lot of flavor and sloppy service

What's all the hype? Average tasting waffles for an above average cost = over priced!! Seriously $20 bucks for a waffle with eggs?

Felt like we were in a time warp that took us to the 1970's. Ok, if you are in the area highly recommend going. We were in Pismo for the weekend and the 30 minute drive was easy at 8:30am when we left. It opens at 9am so I thought it would be good to be there then. And so did about 80 people. The line was to the end of the block. Don't be deterred. We were striking up conversations with everyone around us. You order at the window, they give you a number for the table, and they bring out your food. Look for the sauces they keep above the sugar cream station. Onto the food! We got the San Luis Sunrise (free range eggs, Niman Ranch bacon ends, avocado, hk sauce) and the Mannix Machaca (scrambled eggs, slow cooked carnitas, hk green salsa, avocado, hk sauce). I thought by the look of it that the waffles would be the winner....nope! The blue corn flour tortilla Mannix Machaca won the day! Oh, and the ridiculous smoothly the Baywood Berry. One is enough for two and they'll split it for you. Put this place on your must try list!

Made on homemade blue corn tortilla, it was light years ahead of the waffle. I recommend the Plaskett Pork as it has the most variety - Great selection of drinks for both coffee and non-coffee drinkers. There's a few morning cocktails as well (mimosa and bloody mary) - Great environment as it is by the ocean with a beach view. Really gets to the heart of what Cayucos is all about! Cons: - Open seating, so you could be in trouble if you can't find a table as there is no wait staff and only bus boys. - Not great for big groups as there is limited seating areas and they seem to run out of utensils at times - A bit on the pricer side given the lack of variety (if you don't like waffles or tacos then you will need to find a new place)! Overall, I would highly recommend HK to anyone who is passing through or staying in town. Great views and fantastic tacos made it worth while!
