    Turkey sandwich
    Maggie M.

New to Cambria and looking for some great sandwiches. Visited Sandy's Deli and got ourselves two sandwiches - turkey sandwich & Italian sandwich. Turkey sandwich was very filling with plenty of meat, cheese & fresh cucumbers. Italian sandwich included black olives and peppercini's. They even have desserts. Had ourselves a slice of carrot cake. Yummy! Would definitely recommend trying Sandy's next time you visit Cambria.

Time for an update! Sandy's Deli is just as fantastic as always. Every time I am in Cambria I make sure I grab a sandwich to go at least one time from Sandy's! My favorite is their build your own option - it is currently $12.25 and they are very generous in terms of not skimping on the meat/cheese. The ingredients are so fresh and the roast beef is nice and rare! Their smoothies are also fantastic! They can get busy at times so I recommend calling in your order ahead if you are pressed for time (sometimes you have to call a few times to get through).

A perfectly adequate sandwich eaten on a very cute bench outside. I was a little disappointed there were no sourdough rolls available at the time (as it is the best bread for a sandwich), but overall a great sandwich.

After a busy morning visiting Hearst Castle, we worked up an appetite. I love supporting small businesses and my daughter pointed out Sandy's as we drove down the charming main street of Cambria. We parked a few blocks away and walked over where the patio was full of patrons enjoying a variety of sandwiches and salads. We decided to eat indoors in the diner which featured some fun 80s tunes along with house music I didn't expect but appreciated. We selected our sandwiches and were treated to some of the best sammies we've enjoyed while roadtripping. My BLT featured shredded lettuce instead of the iceberg leaf and was served on thick sourdough. It was a delicious and filling meal for the long drive ahead.

We were in Cambria and craving a deli sandwich. My husband had the Italian sub and I had the turkey cranberry sandwich. We both agreed that the turkey cranberry sandwich was superior. It was a really great sandwich. I also really enjoyed my iced coffee! It was surprisingly good. The service was easy. You order at the counter and they call your number. They only have one bathroom and we had to wait a really long time. Eventually I think we ended up just going somewhere else to use the restroom.

Wonderful place with delicious sandwiches! They have a restroom for customers that's nice, and the store itself is quaint and beautiful. Their menu design is lovely, readable and accessible. The interior has lots of comfortable seating. I adored the paintings they have displayed and the history of their store in family photos. The staff is nice, and you get good portion sizes for the sandwiches you purchase. They have options for my vegetarian and vegan friends as well which is always wonderful to see. They're also open to making custom orders, like my little sister was with me and she just wanted a grilled cheese, so they agreed to make it for her. Overall a good sandwich shop to visit when you're in the area! I would come back here again.

Stopped by Sandy's Deli & Bakery and enjoyed my BLT sandwich on sourdough with a crispy ice cold fountain soda. Charming indoor and outdoor seating available. A popular small spot but I did not wait long for my food. Service was friendly. A great stop for affordable and casual food in the area!

After a morning of poking around art galleries and pretending we understood abstract sculpture, hunger finally caught up with us. Yelp pointed us to Sandy's Deli & Bakery, boasting a respectable four-star rating - and as fate would have it, it was literally just across the street. Easy decision. Shop front - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=3vy51T9OK7D_55XbZIzL4g Sandy's is exactly what you'd hope for in a small-town deli: casual, friendly, and no-frills in the best way. The menu features a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and baked goods - nothing overly fancy, just solid comfort food done right. I ordered the BLT with added cream cheese, and it hit the spot. Fresh bread, quality ingredients, and a generous portion. That said, the bacon felt more like crumbs than actual slices. AR went with the Big Air Avocado Sandwich, and after we swapped bites, I had to admit hers was the better pick. Big Sur Tuna Avocado Sandwich ($13) Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=nH8GF7CDhwazlbt_JQMFvA BLT w/added cream cheese ($15.50) Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=PiilZl50NeY9mnLMSdelfg Ice Tea ($3.25) Root Beer ($3.25) Service was quick and efficient. Seating is limited - just a few tables inside and a couple outside. We considered sitting outdoors, but it was slightly overcast and breezy, so we opted to stay warm inside. As we ate, there was a steady flow of patrons coming and going - it seems Sandy's is popular with the locals, not just passing tourists. Would I drive hours just to eat here? No. But if you're already in Cambria and want a reliable, satisfying lunch that doesn't feel like a tourist trap, Sandy's is a solid choice. The sandwiches were a bit on the pricey side, but that's expected in touristy towns - and let's be real, everything is more expensive these days. - Big Aloha Overall raiting: 3 1/2 Stars (Rounding up) Food: 4 Ambiance: 3 Service: 4 Value: 3

good sandwich but a bit too pricey. it's good to try it once but i don't think it's worth the price. service was friendly and quick. place is spacious with lots of seating.

Turkey, Bacon, Cheddar Melt. Sub Sourdough bread and added pickles.

The hot Sandwiches were tasty, fresh, and Big! Ample quality meats and toppings on fresh bread. Recommend you share a sandwich, or plan to take home the other half. My hubby had "The Godfather" sandwich minus the cheese and veggies. Great fresh bread to hold the hearty portion of meats. I had the Turkey, bacon, cheddar melt. I did swap out the croissant with sourdough. The sourdough slices were thick and toasty. Service was quick and friendly. We ate inside due to the chilly January day. Tables inside were clean and well stocked with napkins. Which you will need. We did not try the baked goods...we were stuffed!! Although, they did look good.

A quick online search will tell you that an olallieberry is a cross between a blackberry and a raspberry and it's all delicious . I had a slice of pie a la mode. I think I even have some earrings from the gift shop in their original restaurant before it burned down, and I definitely remember going to their farm for pies, preserves, and peacocks! My daughter and I ate at Linn's a few times during our most recent annual stay in Cambria. We ate in the restaurant twice plus an additional visit to grab some bakery items on the way out of town. We usually have pretty good service at the restaurant and if we don't then Manager Aaron Linn always wants to hear about it. This time, the server was off-putting and took a very long time to come ask for our order. It was something like 6 minutes! It wasn't until Aaron came to check on us and saw we only had water that the server came to take our order. She didn't give eye contact and seemed generally distant. I prefer a server who smiles at me. My daughter had an issue with her dish, but she didn't want to speak up and get the server upset. I told her to just leave it and got her something elsewhere. We've been to Linn's so many times I'm sure our next visit will be perfect!

I've done some comparison shopping in recent weeks, and the cafe wins every time. One place in town prepares "country potatoes" as large cubes of potato with no seasoning. Cambria Cafe cooks prepare them as small cubes, seasoned and fried exactly as I like (I can't define the spice combination, but I like it). My scrambled eggs are never dry or runny, and hash browns invariably have just the right crisp texture. They also serve really good coffee, something which most restaurants can't seem to manage. This morning I tried their chicken-fried steak for the first time, and it was as good as my wife's, which is saying something. The ambiance is what I'd expect from a small local cafe, comfortable, but not extraordinary. I'll continue to patronize "my" cafe as long as they'll have me.
