The older, quieter stretch of Magnolia in Burbank is slowly getting hipper and The Palm Coffee Shop is definitely helping. While it's not necessarily my personal aesthetic, I appreciate their cutesy, Instagram-friendly, boho-inspired vibe. Between the frilly peach umbrellas outside and the neon magenta sign inside, you can feel the cool. But more importantly, the coffee delivers. We tried their signature Cinnamon Toast Crunch and an iced vanilla latte. Both were excellent, but there's a reason the Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a crowd-pleaser. Delicious. I could've had two. We're not always in this part of Burbank, but next time we are, we'll definitely be back.

After perusing for a bit we decided to try their blueberry sage cold brew and cafe latte. They had some indoor seating but it's pretty limited and on a low bench, but their interior is very cozy. Luckily they also have patio seating outside that's more spacious. We both enjoyed our coffee and had a lovely morning there. I'd stop by again if I was in the area, but it's not really a place I'd go out of my way to visit.

For me, they were way too tart. I tend to like my drinks sweeter, so these just weren't hitting for me at all. My girlfriend, on the other hand, loved them. So I don't necessarily think the drinks were bad. If you like fruit-forward drinks that are more tart and less sweet, this might actually be exactly what you want. It just wasn't what I personally like. The branding and presentation are cute, and I understand the appeal. I just wouldn't come back specifically for the drinks we tried.

She let us know that if we had any questions while looking over the menu, she'd be happy to help. The place was very clean and had a nice, welcoming atmosphere. We ended up ordering two iced lattes. I absolutely love coffee, but I'm not a fan of sugary coffee drinks. I like my coffee to actually taste like coffee, so I ordered espresso with whole milk and it was absolutely delicious! Exactly the kind of coffee I enjoy. Overall, Cafe Grano was a great find. Clean, friendly service and really good coffee. We're definitely glad we came across this little local coffee shop while we were in the area. I'd definitely come back!
