I see Zomu Coffee's future and it is BRIGHT!! The owners are kind, the interior is so beautifully curated, and the drinks are exceptional. Well worth going out of your way to visit for a a great drink and place to chill.

Boring Burbank with only a Costco and an IKEA to brag about? Not so fast. Run, don't walk, to one of Burbank's newest, eclectic coffee shops -- this one's right off Victory on a quiet street and inside of a pottery studio. You go, Burbank! Head straight for the Pandan cream top Americano (whipped coconut cream with Pandan leaf extract for a green look). Tons of other creative drinks I will leave you to explore. Owner Phil runs the show and makes it all look easy. Support small business! Tons of freebie parking, excellent Wifi, and comfy seating to hang out or get some work done. Check Yelp listing for funky hours and see you here.

Matcha latte with pandan cream top

I was in the area and found Zomu Coffee online while looking for cafés nearby. Zomu is non-descript from the outside (as it's connected to a ceramics studio), but it offers a good amount of seating inside, as well as lots of drink options. The barista was nice and helpful in giving me reccomendations of what to choose. I opted for a matcha latte with a pandan cream top: not too expensive at $6.50 (not including tip), which I appreciated given that cafés elsewhere charge an upwards of $8+. The drink was beautifully-presented, a green-on-green experience. Taste-wise, I mostly got pandan flavor, which isn't bad, but it definitely overpowered the matcha; I would've loved for the matcha to have shone a bit more. All the same, Zomu Coffee is a solid establishment to try out while in the neighborhood!

Left to right: Vanilla latte, oat latte with ube spice cream top & pan-dance with somebody

Heads up, get their Pan-Dance With Somebody or you'll regret it! It felt like it was summer for a second after one sip. It is so refreshing even on a colder day. The Pan-Dance has a mango base with a pandan cream top. The layers separate are tasty; mixed, even better! It is creamy and not too sweet. I chugged it down! I also ordered a regular iced latte with oat milk, topped with their Ube Spice cream top. Delicious! Again, not too sweet, and it reminded me of a creamy chai latte. Their vanilla latte is also solid! They know their coffee and flavors over here! The cafe is spacious, perfect for studying and/or remote work! There is Wifi and free parking! I took my drinks to go during this visit, but I plan to come back and bring my husband! Nicole and Phil are awesome and so hospitable! Since my drinks were securely packed, they made it through the drive from Burbank to Silver Lake. I highly recommend and support local business!

I'm so glad I found this place! I'm extremely picky and specific about my matcha. The pandan matcha was SO amazing and only $6.50. 10000/10. Most other places would have charged upwards of $8 and I'll happy to pay more to support a small business. The vibes inside are great and the owner is very sweet. Usually caffeine gives me anxiety but I felt great after my drink because it was made with love. I'm so excited to come back and try everything else on the menu. Please stay open forever so I can bring my future kids here in 15 years!

I am so glad I found this spot! They have amazing curated drinks inspired by Filipino flavors so I had to try it. I got a Lolita's Matcha which is a turon (fried sweet plantain) flavored matcha. It was so good and had a flavor unlike any other matcha I've had. I've also had some of their other drinks like the Sun Tropics, Pan-Dance With Somebody and Vacation Eyes. All great drinks. Service is always top tier. Phil is always so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommends drinks based off what you like which I love. The ambiance is amazing. They are a pop-up shop but the fact it is inside of a pottery studio adds so much of a chill vibe. Not a whole lot of seating inside so make sure to come early to catch a seat! Overall , this is a hidden gem in Burbank. I'll be sad to see them move spots but just know I will be wherever they are!

    Darryl T.

My wife brought me here saying that the drinks were amazing, and they are. I ordered an iced latte with an add shot, and their pandan cream top. The drink was perfect and not too sweet. Service was great. Shoutout to the owner Phil who made the drinks and was super friendly. The coffee shop is also in a pottery studio so the ambiance was calming and pleasant, definitely a place where you can do some work or meet with a friend. Street parking was readily available. Will definitely come back to try their other drinks and the spiced ube cream top!

Pan Dance With Somebody (mango matcha with pandan cream top)

Had such a great experience here--both the customer service and the drinks were top-tier at a great price. I tried the Geisha pour-over (2nd time -- what i originally came back for), the Blushing Aje Latte (cherry + vanilla latte), and the Pan Dance With Somebody (mango matcha with pandan cream top), and every single one was incredible. Each drink was perfectly balanced. The flavors blended beautifully and actually got better as they mixed together. You could taste every ingredient clearly, without anything overpowering the rest. Everything felt well-rounded, smooth, and thoughtfully crafted. The owner, Phil--was amazing. We had a great conversation about coffee, clothes, other hobbies, and you can really feel his passion and care in everything he does. It made the whole experience even more memorable. If you appreciate high-quality coffee, creative drinks, and genuine hospitality, this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll for sure be coming back

Absolutely recommend this spot!! Such a cozy & chill spot to have a chat with friends or get some work done. Brought my pup there who has VERY sensitive ears and is triggered by loud noises. Happy to say the slow RnB vibe was perfect for my Maxie 12/10 will for sure go again!

Short N' Sweet with Ube Cream Top
    Sarah L.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Zomu Coffee! I found out about Zomu Coffee through social media and visited for the first time recently. The shop is located in a pottery studio, and as you walk in, the ordering window is on your left. There are chill vibes, RnB background music, and plenty of street parking and seating. The staff members were friendly, provided great recommendations, and offered to package my drinks for takeaway. I ordered two drinks to share with family, including the Pan-Dance With Somebody ($7.50) and Short N' Sweet with Ube Cream Top ($5.50). These drinks were very different from each other, yet so tasty and aesthetically-pleasing. The Pan-Dance With Somebody was sweet, tart, and refreshing; the matcha and pandan paired well, and the mango brought the zing. The Short N' Sweet was acidic, smooth, and slightly sweet; it's for the people who want a little more flavor in their iced Americano.

    Lolita's Turon Matcha, Candy Rain
    Summer S.

Best matcha in Burbank Nicole and Phil are the sweetest and the drinks are inspired by filipino and korean flavors. They never skimp on the matcha and they've honestly ruined every other cafe for me. They have a new location inside of a pottery studio, and there's plenty of space to get some work done or read a book. Parking along the street is super easy and it's conveniently right by Costco. My fave drinks are the Oz-mopolitan (for coconut water lovers), the Pandance with Somebody, and for a non caffeinated option the Candy Rain is delishhh. Service is always so good, and every time I'm there I always make a new friend. If you're lucky there might be a pup or two.

Warm Lolita's Matcha with oat milk

I tried the Slow Motion for the first time. Warm Hojicha with chocolate and marshmallow, half sweet and oat milk. The chocolate didn't overpower the Hojicha but deepened the flavor. It was a very well executed Hojicha drink! I've also had the Lolitas Matcha warm and it was delightful. They use high quality matcha, and there was a nice non-artificial banana flavoring to it. My absolute favorite is their Pan-Dance with Somebody. The base is mango nectar with matcha poured on top, and a pandan cream top. Definitely best pandan cream top I've ever had, and the flavor blend is to die for. The owners are the best, the prices are good, there's fast wifi, overall highly recommend supporting this small business!

    Pan-Dance With Somebody

the "pan-dance with somebody" is the best matcha drink ever. This spot is a must try! Best service. Best drinks.

It's the hot coffee you brew plus ice. Last I checked, that was the most common coffee order in the US. Ended up with a cold brew, which is not the same thing as iced coffee (and again... a "world famous coffee house" should know this). Cold brew has a different flavor profile and more caffeine. Either the employee is really uninformed about the most basic things about coffee or this business refuses to pour their normal medium/dark/flavored roast coffee over ice because they charge twice as much for cold brew... neither of which is acceptable. If you want to wait in a 30-minute line with kids running into you and the decor completely unattended, and overpay for a drink that wasn't what you ordered... this is the place for you. This cafe is run by a family of wonderful, empowering women who support their community and their customers with engaging events and delicious coffee. When I first moved to Burbank I was given a warm welcome by the ladies behind the counter and since then I'm happy to be a regular. Their drinks are on the more expensive side compared to larger corporate chains, but the taste and quality well makes up for the expense. They have a comfortable selection of bakery items, a diverse drink menu for all kinds of pallets, and signature lattes that hit the spot. This location offers a free library where customers can take a book and leave a book, reading in the shop or taking home, with an honor code of being expected to keep said book in good shape and to return it eventually. Their book vending machine is a huge hit, the interior is beautiful and relaxing and their location has a restroom. On the weekends they invite other small sellers, clothing entrepreneurs, bread makers, up-in-coming pottery shops, and more to use their store as a venue to expand their business. The Three Sisters' dedication to their community goes as far as sharing their success, which I admire! The cons of this location however, are that I firmly believe they've outgrown their space. Lines often form out of the cafe regularly and onto the street. It can take quite some time to wait when this happens. When they have sellers inside too--it becomes difficult to move it's so crowded. There's often not enough tables and chairs to go around, and it's uncomfortable to wait outside when it's sunny with zero shade or seats. While I love the shop encouraging people to stay and do their work, or relax, the limited seating capacity makes it so many customers are often left standing. I hope Three Sisters considers moving to a larger space, adapting outdoor seating to the experience, or grows their business enough to comfortably open multiple locations in the future to give their dedicated consumers and neighbors more space to enjoy their products.

The times I've been here, the owner has been the person who's taking orders at the register. Both times I've seen her be very warm and welcoming to the person in front of and behind me (one of which was my friend) and then as soon as I come up to place my order I just get a "what can I get for you" and kind of a whole attitude switch. This happened on my very first visit to this coffee shop so I don't think I did anything wrong? I have worked many customer service jobs so I always approach the counter with a "hi, how are you" and try to have a pleasant demeanor. I try not to let it bother me but it's hard not to notice the immediate switch from the interaction of the person in front of me. Now, I don't need people to be nice to me but I would like the same common courtesy I try to give. This happened on two other occasions and it's clear to me I just don't need to be going here. Maybe if the coffee were exceptional I could get over the service, but that isn't the case. I got an espresso tonic that was just ok. Glad people in Burbank like this shop but it's a chop for me.

Service: 10/10! The workers kept the line moving and were quick to take and start orders even while people were still in line to get to the register. The line moved quick and the workers were kind and efficient! It had a busier feel than other coffee shops I go to, there was just a higher sense of urgency in the drink prep and in the customer base. I kept on feeling like I was in the way just going from waiting to order, to paying, to waiting for my drink. I've never had so many people have so many reasons to brush past me in such a short period of time. It might not be a spot I continue to go to just based on that alone, but it is worth trying and might be YOUR complete new favorite. It has the charm of a classic coffee shop and has a very "Stars Hollow" feel, which is fun, especially so close to WB. I can see why people like this spot. It feels genuine and they do what they do well. My iced latte was okay- it had a very creamy texture. My boyfriend said his didn't taste like anything special. But we were happy to have tried some place new. Definitely check it out! In terms of dietary restrictions kind of food options- I only glanced because I wasn't getting anything, but they did have a gluten free muffin and a couple of pre-packaged vegan snacks, but I didn't otherwise see other vegan options (there was a spot for a vegan carrot cake, but they were sold out). So plan accordingly! Their pastries looked great! So if you're not dairy free/vegan, you'll find something
