This review is mostly for the garden center, as that is the only part of Home Depot I use. This Home Depot is the best location I have visited. First, it's HUGE. It is a huge location with many services and amenities. It also has a huge parking lot, so there is always parking. Garden Center- 100/10. It is huuuuuuge and always looks beautiful. They keep it in pristine condition. It's always fulllllll of a wide variety of plants, flowers, and gardening supplies. They also have great deals on flowers and plants. I get everything I need here. Service- 100/10. The friendly staff working in the garden center are truly amazing. I typically interact with Anthony, Monica, and Pantelis. All of them are amazing and truly their helpfulness is why I continuously keep coming back. Honestly the managers at this location should be proud of what amazing staff they have! This truly is the best Home Depot garden center and location I have ever been to. I'm so thankful it's only a 3 minute drive from my house :) read more

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Gio from Home Depot corporate in Orange County for going completely above and beyond. We met Gio while she was in the middle of a group training with at least 20 Home Depot employees and managers. She absolutely did not have to stop what she was doing, and it would have been completely understandable if she simply pointed us in the right direction or asked someone else to help. Instead, Gio immediately stepped away from the group and personally helped us find the electrical items we needed. What stood out most was that she did it with a great attitude, patience, and genuine willingness to help -- even though she was clearly in the middle of something important. That kind of customer service is rare. She represented Home Depot incredibly well, not just as an employee, but as someone who clearly understands the value of taking care of customers in the moment. I want to file a serious complaint about my recent experience at your store. What happened to me was humiliating, unprofessional, and felt like outright racial profiling. I went to pick up a water heater that my wife had already purchased online, and it was confirmed as ready for pick-up. When I approached the customer service counter, the young lady helping me (employee ID KAF2A16) already had an attitude. Still, I stayed polite and went to get my water heater. I even asked her directly if I needed any paperwork before leaving with it, and she told me, "No, just go ahead and walk out through this door." As I was about to load the water heater onto my truck, an employee named Tracy suddenly came running out, yelling at me in the parking lot, demanding to show her my receipt She caused a huge scene in front of everyone, as if I was trying to steal something. I explained to her what customer service had told me, but by then the damage was done. This was completely embarrassing and degrading. I was treated like a criminal, all because I followed the instructions I was given. It felt like I was being profiled and singled out, and it made me feel extremely unwelcome in your store. After this experience, I will never shop at this location again, and I will be sharing what happened with others. No paying customer should ever be treated this way. read more

I was parked in the Veterans parking, some loser stole my copper, I called the manager (Monday 4-20 11am) told him if I could see cameras, he said need a police report, I waited 90 minutes CMPD never showed. The manager said he would credit me the $65. I went today 4-1-26 11am asked John at the pro desk He said we don't refund for theft. I said manager said they would The manager also denied. I just got home from Home Depot. On a Friday at 4:30 2 associates were too busy working on a computer to help me. I was ready to buy a front loading washer, dryer and microwave. When I got to the appliance section two guys were working on a computer, so I walked around the area for 5 minutes. They clearly saw me but made no effort to ask if I needed help. After 5 minutes I asked if anyone could help me the young guy pointed at the old guy. The older guy seemed annoyed and said "give me a few minutes. Needless to say, I walked straight out. I have been a loyal Home Depot customer for years, but my recent experience with the rental department was by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. What should have been a simple truck rental turned into a frustrating, disrespectful, and unprofessional ordeal, primarily because of the way the manager, Rayan, handled the situation. At pickup, the staff was not particularly friendly, but I let it go because I just needed the truck. The real problems began when I returned it. The drop-off area was chaotic with too many customers waiting, and instead of managing the line fairly, an employee allowed another customer to cut ahead of me. This lack of order was already frustrating, and I know the cameras in the store would confirm exactly what happened. When it was finally my turn, the employee checking me out (Mike) took an unusually long time to process the return. After the delay, he told me that the truck was fine but claimed it "smelled fishy." This was completely untrue. The truck was clean, I even had pictures of the interior, and there was no odor whatsoever. I asked to speak with the manager, and that is when things escalated. Rayan, the manager, said over the phone that he didn't want to talk to me and didn't want to come over. Only after the employee insisted did he reluctantly show up. When he finally came out, he was shockingly rude from the very beginning. He didn't greet me, refused to provide his name, and dismissed my concerns entirely. When I directly asked him his name, he ignored me. When I lightly tapped him on the back just to get his attention, he immediately tried to flip the situation on me by questioning why I touched him, instead of addressing the real issue. I even asked about the store cameras to prove that the truck was clean and that nothing inappropriate happened, but he had no interest in resolving the situation fairly. What upset me the most was not the possibility of being charged but Rayan's attitude. He showed zero professionalism, no willingness to listen, and acted as if he had already made up his mind regardless of the facts. Even when I offered to clean the truck myself, he dismissed me and said he would charge me "no matter what." That is not customer service -- that is arrogance. To make matters worse, Rayan spoke to my colleague in a disrespectful and discriminatory way, simply because we were speaking in another language. That behavior is offensive and unacceptable in any workplace, especially at a company the size of Home Depot. This experience was not about the money -- it was about the complete lack of respect, professionalism, and accountability shown by Rayan and the rental staff. As a long-time Home Depot customer, I am appalled by this treatment and will seriously reconsider doing business here in the future. read more

Lazy staff, man. So, I get the whole "do it yourself" thing, but when you go to a store, there should be some level of customer service/ help available. I came here for an air conditioning unit, and as most of us know, these things are super heavy!!! Found the air conditioning on isle 12 (I believe it was) and looked at the options. There were some window units and the portable ones with the hoses. I picked out the one I wanted and then asked an employee for help. The employee told me "You can grab a cart and bring it over here. Then I will help you put it on." Ummm okay. Excuse me sir, you can't go get the cart for me, and load this thing for me?? I don't understand the point of hiring all these men to work at Home Depot, if none of them are willing to help you with the big, heavy items. That just seems lazy. I came back with the cart and that guy was gone. Cool bro. I guess I'm lifting this thing myself. Ridiculous. The customer service is terrible. I had an outstanding experience at the Costa Mesa Home Depot on Harbor Blvd, thanks to an amazing associate, Courtenay, in the closet/lumber department. It can sometimes be a challenge to find someone to help you--especially with the size of the aisles and the limited staff--but she was so approachable and took the initiative to ask if I needed assistance. I didn't feel like I had to hunt someone down. Her kindness, willingness to help, and incredible knowledge turned what felt like a discouraging task into an easy and seamless experience. She made me feel valued as a customer and brought a level of warmth and hospitality that's hard to come by these days. Home Depot pitched us and sold us on a beautiful kitchen with a FIVE (5) day job with a quote of almost $23,000. What we got was a terrible job by the 1st crew of 5-6 men, that required a complete tear down by the 2nd crew of 1 man, who stated to us, "THEY DIDN'T FOLLOW THE PLANS". This cluster of a job took up 8 days and another 5 days for the correction. A massive inconvenience that required I EMPTY out my cabinets & PUT EVERYTHING back..... TWICE. After the 1st crew Home Depot & Acedo Builders sent was Jose Sandoval of new Vision Home Improvement Inc. License: #1119528, 323-807-1324 who managed the a crew of 5 or 6 men, left we discovered many issues: DOORS: -Wrong size hinges were installed causing doors to swing wide open hitting wall, hitting each other, hitting fridge. -Several side by side doors didn't align. One specifically was visibly lower that the rest. About ¼ inch off. -The gaps between doors were off. Narrow at the top and wider at the bottom and visa versa. Several doors were installed crooked. One door had a sharp corner edge. Looked to me like it may have been dropped. DRAWERS: -TWO sets of side by side drawers were hitting each other when in the open position. HANDLES on Doors & Drawers: -were installed crooked - Both Vertically and Horizontally. (A handle was installed where plans didn't require it - in front of the sink) APPLIANCES: Were left uncovered - Dust, Debris & Goop left behind after crew left. -GOOP DROPLETS & dust - goop & dust was dropped all over top of fridge, stove top handles, microwave, and wall. STOVE: -knobs were NOT covered up - Now I'm experiencing issues with front right burner. - When set to LOW, after a bit it goes to HIGH on its own, starts to burn my food, and does not turn off when I turn the knob to OFF position. Turning it off now requires spinning the knob around and around until it finally turns off (have VIDs) WASHROOM DRYER: -Machine got pushed too far back into the wall and kinked the gas line. - Found out about the issues the next day when I tried to do laundry and what takes 20-30 min to dry was not dry after 2 hours. (have PICS) CABINET GLASS DOORS REPLACED: -4 doors w/ glass were changed to solid wood/material - But shelves were not installed on one of the cabinets - rendering the cabinet useless. CABINET SHELVES/WALLS/CEILING - Dust & Debris left everywhere. COUNTERS/APPLIANCES - Dust & Debris left everywhere. HOLES - holes were left in frames where old hinges were removed because new holes were drilled to install NEW hinges in new location. (Now they just look tacking and unfinished with holes) PIECE OF WOOD CUT SHORT - a 90 inch long strip of wood - at one end was cut short, about 1/4 inch too short and the gap was filled with white calking, and at the other end a extra piece of wood (like a tail) was not cut right and not even sanded down. I was left with 4 projects. -Repair our burner -Paint the wall panel -Clean all walls of dust -Patch up or replace the chipped tyle FOR RECORD PURPOSES I TOOK DETAILED NOTES & PHOTOS EVERYDAY DURING & AFTER BOTH CREWS LEFT OUR HOME. The 1st crew did come back a few times to address some of our issues, but in the end it was too many to fix. I complained for weeks being we felt at least 90% of the job would need to be redone. I called and emailed many people trying to get the ear of a supervisor and finally after 1 month a supervisor Leigh Keller made time to come inspect the job. She agreed that not just 90% of the job needed to be redone, but the ENTIRE job needed to be redone. And with that a 2nd date needed to be scheduled. The 2nd crew fix everything, but we are still left with some damaged areas. After the 2nd job was done we felt HD should compensate us for the massive fail and inconvenience they caused us. And the many emails & calls we did we receive a letter from Home Depot Headquarters in Atlanta GA, offering us a compensation of $1,000 for the "delay, disruption & frustrations" we dealt with, BUT it required us to sign a "Settlement and Release Agreement" that would require us to 'refrain from publishing, to the public or privately, thorough the internet or any other means of communication', So we chose to DECLINE signing any agreement, as I would rather not be silenced and share my story to make the public aware. People with whom we dealt: -Max Russo, Sales Consultant -Joshua Rosales - Installation Specialist -Nick Acedo Builders - Dispatches crews. Never ever heard from him directly. -Acedo Builders sent Jose Sandoval of New Vision Home Improvement Inc., License: #1119528, 323-807-1324 who managed the 1st crew of 5 or 6 men. -Cassie Daringer, HDIS interior coordinator - Hard to reach. Wasn't much help. -Leigh Keller, District Installation Manager - After 1 mo came to see the bad job done. -Paul of NICASITO BUILDERS (2nd crew of 1 man) With that said, if you are considering using Home Depot's Kitchen Refacing services, proceed with caution. This is just one of many unfriendly to contractors on Sundays. They make you get a lumber cart in the parking lot, then make you walk to the main entrance. Then make you walk the total length of the building to lumber. That's not even the worst part. The worst part is trying to get Lumber through their new checkout line dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life. even the people there are dumbfounded by the stupidity of Home Depot executives not contractor friendly at all.
