I didn't plan on posting a review, but considering this is the second time that i've had a similar issue.....  I went to the Home Depot today with the singular mission of buying wallpaper. It shouldn't be an odyssey, folks. It's WALLPAPER. A basic home improvement item. But apparently, at Home Depot, even the simplest tasks turn into an epic quest. For 40 minutes, I wandered the aisles like Dante lost in IKEA. I consulted the poorly labeled signage, looking for "Showroom Bay 019" I navigated past precariously stacked lumber mountains and dodged bored-looking employees with the enthusiasm of a sloth on sleeping pills. Wallpaper? Not a single roll in sight. Where is the showroom?@ Finally, on the verge of wallpaper-induced rage, a kind employee asked me if I needed help.. Of course, at that moment, the website was giving me trouble. He wasn't an expert in wall coverings, so he flagged down the girl who was. The girl scanned my hopeful face, then delivered the crushing blow: "I have wallpaper remover."  WHAT?! That's not what I asked for. My phone, clutched tightly in my sweaty hand, displayed the Home Depot website on the screen. In glorious technicolor, it declared they had TWO rolls of the exact wallpaper I needed in stock at this very location!  The employee, clearly unfazed by my disbelief, shrugged and mumbled something about "are you looking in Coventry?"  I was ready to lose it, so I walked out. Here's the thing, Home Depot: Your website is your digital storefront. If it blatantly lies about what you have in stock, it's a colossal waste of everyone's time, Why didn't the employee check their computer? Or maybe... just maybe...bring me to the aisle rather than an immediate "no." My 40 minutes of lost hope and frustration could have been spent, you know, actually improving my home. This isn't just about wallpaper. It's about a fundamental lack of respect for your customers' time and trust. If you can't be bothered to update your website, train your staff, or provide basic customer service, then maybe it's time to rethink your entire business model.

Big pluses for being dog friendly.Lil' Mo enjoyed his first carriage ride. I just don't understand where they find some of the people that work here. They have no idea what they're doing. I have never had a run-in in 15 years with anybody that knew what I was looking for-whether it be fencing, plumbing, electrical home decor, lighting, etc. Make sure you know what you are looking for because you're gonna have to be the one to find it!!

We recently purchased a refrigerator from the Coventry Home Depot. The sales lady was fine and helpful. The delivery people seemed to do a good job at first but a few days later we noticed a leak on the floor below the refrigerator and found out they didn't connect the refrigerator to the existing water supply correctly. They had bent and damaged the copper tubing and the connection between the copper tubing and the refrigerator was leaking because of that. When we called Home Depot they refused to do anything about it because more than 48 hours had passed. They said to contact the manufacturer which didn't make sense since the product was fine it was the installation by Temco Logistics that was at fault. We had to get our own plumber at a cost of $200 to fix the problem. When I asked Home Depot to reimburse me for the plumber they refused and the person I talked to admitted that the person who took our call should have told us to request a reinstall. Poor customer service and poorly trained workers. I will not buy any more appliances from Home Depot.

This is probably my favorite Home Depot store. It's fairly easy to find things, although by this point, I know the store well. Still, the layout makes sense. They are well stocked; most times, they've had what I need to complete a project. I also buy most of my tools here. Sometimes, Home Depot will surprise you. I recently had a plumbing job where I needed a certain style of toilet flange. I called about a half dozen plumbing supply stores, but Home Depot was the only place that had the exact style of flange I needed, which literally saved the day. They have a decent amount of floor help, and the employees I've dealt with have been polite and helpful. My wife is also enjoys coming here, mainly for the garden center and home decorations. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is that I hate driving down Centre of New England Boulevard - with its choppy, bumpy pavement - to get to this Home Depot.

I tried to use a gift card I received for Christmas, went through self checkout, the card didn't go through, the lady there was nice but didn't know how to use the card said she didn't think that type of gift card worked, do I have another form of payment so I went to customer service to see if I could get assistance. I've had a few incidences where restaurants or retailers don't know how to use a gift card that can be redeemed at multiple businesses. Usually the cashiers have to do something, put it in as credit card, use a pin, I'm not sure but instructions are on the card. The lady at customer service was the rudest person I've encountered in a while, telling me "go to self check out, go to self checkout, go to self checkout!" I don't want to do self checkout, I wanted to have assistance with a gift card, which she gave me none, said do it yourself, if it doesn't go through it doesn't go through. I tried to explain the instructions on the card, she wasn't having it. I don't understand why certain people are in customer service. I don't think there is a name on the receipt or I would definitely call the lady out. No reason to be so rude. *I did call the gift card company, and it is to be used at Lowe's (it's right on the front of the card) and no I don't have to activate it, (both employees told me I had to activate it). I was told the cashier does have to put in the card as credit and the amount of the card, split payment or put in $25 for the card if the total purchase amount is more (in my case that was the issue).

After loading my car and making it home, I realized I had left an item in a shopping cart outside the store. I immediately called the store to prevent it from being taken. Someone answered, "Customer Service, Hold!", and never picked back up--for the entire 20-minute drive back to the store. When I arrived, I found my item still outside. Inside, I saw three customer service associates standing around chatting, not helping customers. When I explained my call had been on hold the whole time, the woman at the desk flat-out denied it was possible. I showed her my phone displaying the store's number and the 20+ minute hold time. She shrugged, accused me of calling the wrong store ( despite using the phone number on the receipt), and dismissed me. See my call log and receipt attached below I left the store, sat in my car, and someone finally picked up the call--only to hang up immediately. I called back, someone answered, and when I said "I was just checking to see if anyone would pick up" they hung up on me again.... Which clearly proved my point. This was not a staffing issue. This was employees choosing to ignore customers, lie, and hang up on them. It's unprofessional, disrespectful, and reflects extremely poorly on the company. And if the three employees are reading this, maybe go work at the garbage site where you belong

I was in this area of Warwick recently and I decided to look at their paint supplies. I thought Valspar was Lowe's private label brand (like Behr is Home Depot's) but when I did some research I realized that Valspar was a separate brand by itself. Valspar is based in Minneapolis. With over 11,000 employees in 26 countries and a company history that spans two centuries, it was the sixth largest paint and coating corporation in the world. Valspar was founded in 1806 as a paint dealership in Boston, Massachusetts. The Valspar name emerged in 1903 as the name of a clear varnish and became the company name in 1932. Sherwin-Williams acquired Valspar in 2017. Anyway, their prices were competitive to Home Depot or Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams. Lots of choices and price points.
