Don't ever use this company for remodels. They use crappy contractors. They don't keep scheduled appointments or they give you a 4 hr time frame. The call to say they will be a couple hours late. Precision counter tops is the supplier AND talk about shady. read more

I thought I would comment on their special order services. We recently special ordered a bathroom vanity and solid surface counter top. It was difficult to get someone to help us in the cabinet area on a Sunday, since there was only one person around and they were busy. Someone from the Appliance area finally stepped up and took our ordering information. Got a call from the store when "everything" had arrived for pickup. It did come in on time. When we picked it up we discovered the vanity top wasn't in the shipment. Next day I get a call and they said the vanity was at the store the day we went to pick it up, but due to some receiving problem they couldn't find it. I had to drive back the following day to pick up the vanity top. I'd say their products have good value but the service there has been average. read more

We like this place okay. Our biggest beefs are the selection and the restrooms. Service here is friendly so that is nice. The restrooms are horrid though and the selection is a little smaller than what you'd expect for such a large store. I know part of the problem there is just that things are out of stock a lot. read more

They have a renewed return policy. On my way to the store my bag broke and my receipt flew out of the bed of the truck. Normally such a problem would result in an in store credit via gift card. The "new"system they have incorporated has a stipulation that nearly all the items in the store are denied return without a receipt no matter what. A project that leaves me with almost $170 in items I don't need and will never use, has me stuck with nothing not store credit just $170 worth of garbage because I hv no use for any item now that the plumbing project is void. I will never shop there again Lowe's here I come. I was treated like crap as well like a theif! read more

Wednesday night I went to homedepot in Hawks prairie and I asked for assistance in a special department . When I got to department I was met by an employee that was highly knowledgeable in what I needed and she even went and got me a cart!! Very impressed as usually at lowes you have to wait forever or hunt some one down! Very impressed and I will go back to that home depot even if I have to drive across town passing lowes down my street.!! read more

The store is usually clean but since opening the stock and inventory has drastically dwindled. Instead of getting rid of damaged product or accounting for missing product they just stock the shelves with what they have. They need to due a better inventory system. read more

Wish I could give the appliance department, customer service and appliance manager ZERO stars! Called yesterday to get help purchasing a new washer and dryer that was on sale. Customer service said I have until this weekend to get it at that price, then called today to order and the price increased by $600 and said sale was over yesterday. No way would they honor the price they told me was good through the weekend. Called Lowes and the appliance department had the same sale that just ended, but they honored the sale price. A little further to go to the store, but SO WORTH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STAND BY THEIR WORD! Home Depot just lost my $2500 sale and my future business! read more

We had Home Depot come out to put a new roof on our home NOVEMBER 2012, Home Depot sub contracts their installs out, ours was subcontracted out to a company called Tristate roofing. During the removal of our old roof the weather here in Seattle Wa was raining and windy. So every time they would quit for the day the wind and rain would come running thru our home causing extensive damages thru out our home. The lead guy from Home Depot would come out after we called letting them know yet again there is water coming thru, he would say not a problem we will take care of the damages. But after the completion of our roof... Nothing. We was told to go thru the sub contractors insurance to get damages fixed. And now it is AUGUST 2013 and we are still sitting in our home... Damages untouched. And the insurance company that Tristate uses is called Prime Insurance. And they are trying to get use to settle for half the amount of current damages. We have had several contractors out and they gave itemized bids to redo damages. We also had our contractors meet with their adjusters to mediate differences. But yet again no resolution. So then prime insurance contacted an out of state company directing them to only bid water damages excluding total repairs of our home. Like painting all walls and replacing all laminate floors. Leaving bid very low. After this move we again call Home Depot for assistance. They told us today... We stand behind the insurance companies decision. I then asked if they would repair our home or the low amount they we trying to settle and was again told we stand by their decision... We feel like they could care less if the damages get repaired. Very discouraged in the way Home Depot handled our horrible situation. read more

Had worst experience possible with millwork department. Paid for one door install 2 months ago...after taking off work on 1st visit from installer, he showed up with wrong door and trim. Had to reschedule...waited 3 more weeks for specific installer that i was told by manager at millworks dept. to get....you guessed it...a different, and inexperienced installer shows up after i took off from work again. After asking for the original recommended installer to come out and do the work, the installer that showed up simply drives off. Manager of millwork dept could have cared less when told. Avoid the millwork department at all costs. Headed over to Lowe's now to hopefully find some professionals. read more

When I go here, I have to walk up to associates who turn their backs and cross their arms. They show no interest in assisting. They roll around in pairs chit chatting and make it very obvious they do not care to offer help. My husband and I tried to start moving toward the end of the row where the last incident happened. Interesting I can not say it only happened once, eh? The associates saw us coming and rounded the corner. So we followed. We approached them and waited a moment for them to finish the chit chat, but continued staring at them in an obvious way at a distance that was too close to be mistaken for anything but patiently waiting. They still went on chit chatting, but kept glancing. Just giggling away with each other. Thanks guys, but I am the reason you have a job to report to! So I spoke up and addressed the male by the name on his tag, "Doug... Are you available?" He merely stopped speaking to his girly friend coworker and stared at me, arms still crossed. Give me a break dude... You could be unemployed like a million other Americans who would gladly help me if they had the opportunity to work there that day. Show a little gratefulness for your position in this economy, respect for uniform you wear, and I don't know, a little pity on the pregnant woman you made stand around 9 months pregnant on a hard concrete floor for what? I have never experienced such a poor service from a company before. Home Depot is 7 minutes from my house and usually my "go to" place for anything home related. This weekend I was there several times, wants to look at water heaters, and wants to rent a tool. When I went in for the water heater, I was told to wait for a representative and I stood there for over 15 minutes. When he finally came over to me I asked him one question, he handed me a brochure and told me to go home and call home depot phone line. No service in the store. Then this morning and went around in tool, while standing there for 5 minutes, another man came in behind me dressed in construction dear. The man at the counter lifted his head and asked the construction guy what he wanted instead of me who is standing there with his daughter. After waiting another 15 minutes for him to help the construction guy, he asked me what I needed, which was a nail gun. He glanced around behind him, told me he didn't have one, and he couldn't help me. I am done with Home Depot, para mi do not want my money or my service. It's a shame, I usually spend thousands every couple months. I'll be going to the Johnsons do it center, a locally owned business instead from here on out. They care enough to actually help you, and seem to want to impress you. read more

the store manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional! one of his older employee's continued to yell at me about their process of returns while he just stood there watching her. I also saw his kitchen specialist be so rude to a client looking for counter tops! the client asked if she was busy after i saw her standing there for at least 3 minutes looking at granite while she proceeded to keep sitting on her computer!! when the client finally asked for some help the employee said she was trying to finish something up and she would have to schedule an appointment to get any information!!! so rude and unprofessional! i will NEVER shop at this store again and cannot belive the horrible customer service coming from Home Depot and their store MANAGER! read more

We bought so much for the first 5 years, that we finally decided to get a HD credit card. We mostly purchase large ticket items for our kitchen and bath. Most recently, we purchased a new refrigerator. The staff was very friendly and helped us make a wise choice. What is nice about the Store Service purchase program with HD is that they offer appliance installation and recovery of the old appliance. My wife and I had been delivered to about 4 times in the past (with other large appliances) and we were always satisfied with the delivery service the HD had contracted. But, this most recent purchase for a new refrigerator installation and recovery went terribly bad. The contracted business that delivered our refrigerator was very rude, unfriendly and was very uncooperative. All our house needed was to have the water line shut off for the refrigerator to be installed. No mention to this procedure was relayed to us when we asked for delivery. Even the courtesy call 30 minutes prior to the actual delivery could have made mention of this fact. Yet, when he showed up he refused to show us what we should be looking for to shut off the water line to the house. He kept saying that 'they are not allowed to shut off the water' valve. I kept saying that he only needed to point out where the water value was and my wife would have shut off the water value herself (i.e. she is a co-owner of the house). The delivery man took our new refrigerator and left. He did not say when he would return, he did not want to let my wife and I know what he could do to make our life easier at all. I had to call the Corporate HD office and lodge a complaint to have my deliver request extracted from this contracted appliance delivery person's delivery queue in order to have our new refrigerator re-scheduled the installation for a later date. This type of poor service is not Home Depot's fault, per se. But, they should know that they have on their appliance deliver route database a delivery business that does not best suite the good reputation that HD has built with my family over the years. The Home depot pro, I was first told I could call in my list of products I need then when I did the person on the phone said they were to busy. After arriving at the store I was told again I could have called in my order aarrg. I voiced my frustration, trying to be helpful she saind sign up for the PRO XTRA , this I did. So far I have not been able to find a place where I can place an order and have it ready for me when I arrive. I thought ok what ever it has other benefits. I arrived today and attempted to use the card which I had been told " you don't need the card just use your phone number just like Safeway" at the register I tried to use the number and the clerk said " you need to swipe your card. I informed her no the other person told me just use my phone number, she said they don't do things like that. After arriving home I found the card it doen't even have a magnetic strip. The employees try to be nice however they are very uniformed. The management sets crazy hrs closing one day and opening the next, so the customer ends up dealing with a sleep deprived. Now that they made it so that the only choices we have is home depot or lowes now they both suck and we the customers have no other choices. aarrg read more

Had a good selection of tools to rent however, conditiom of lawn mower that I rented was lacking and upon return was charged a nearly 40 dollar cleaning fee after the lady at the counter called me a liar and said that she personally had done the service on it before i left it and it was spotless...well i have a ton of composted and compacted grass by the hose in my yard to show that this was not true. Seemed like they really were doing everything they could to pull one over on me. Never going back. read more

This is a long one... My future mother-in-law and I went into the Home Depot in Covington, Washington on 06/24/16 to pick out 2 new lights for my home. I can provide a copy of my receipt for the purchase of the entry way light if needed. We went to this particular location because the light we found online was supposedly in stock there which we found it was not. Still, we found 2 lights that we liked, one for the entry way and one for the kitchen. As we were paying for these 2 lights we were approached by a Home Depot employee and another lady (consumer) saying that we were not allowed to purchase the kitchen light as it was promised to the other lady. I have never been so thrown back in my entire life that I would be approached at check-out and be told that I was not allowed to purchase something that was on the shelf. When we explained that we found both items on the shelf with no indication of it being held for another customer, the other lady insisted that a manager be called. Apparently the other lady was a well-known contractor that was expecting to pick up 2 of the particular light that we had in our cart and we had the only one that was in stock at this location. When the manager came up to us he asked what was going on and the other lady claimed that we intentionally took this light from her (again, we had no idea who this lady was and we got this light off of the shelf when no one was around). The manager then asked us if he could find us the same light at another location. We kindly explained that we had already come out of our way to look for a light that was not in stock and that we would like to purchase this light that was on the shelf. The manager then began to completely berate us in front of several other customers in the store saying "Obviously you guys won't work with me on this so just get out!" He was no more than a couple feet from me waving his hand across my face and telling us to take the light and go. My mother-in-law asked "But we don't know if we have completed the transaction yet" and he replied with, "Why are you still standing here I said to go on!" We were nothing more than shocked and completely embarrassed to be in this store. I have never been treated so poorly in my life, let alone by a manager of a well-known chain. What kind of store would hope that customers will come in and make purchases only for these customers to be shamed into not buying something at the check-out line? I felt too sick to my stomach to buy the light and we left the light behind so that at least the other lady that threw a fit at us would leave satisfied that day. The nice guy that was our cashier apologized for our treatment and said he had never seen anything like that happen before. My fiancé and I have spent thousands of dollars with Home Depot on paint, tools, and flooring (which was also a nightmare to purchase) for our new home and this experience has completely changed my view on Home Depot as a whole. I have taken a few days to report this treatment because I am still too disgusted by the way we were treated. The manager of the Covington Home Depot should be ashamed of his behavior. The managers' name is Greg, though he never told us his name. I will never step foot in a Home Depot again and my terrible experience will be shared. read more

I have purchase 2 different appliances and both times they screwed up by delivering the wrong item after waiting 25 days for delivery, then they pick there stuff up right away and I'm stuck waiting another 2 weeks. I called and complained they offered me a bottle of laundry detergent it was 4oz! Really they refused to do anything to fix there mess up! I'm reviewing this Home Depot in Covington due to the very nice man that cuts the wood there. I normally, go in, get what I need, and get out. This time, I needed a piece of wood cut since the A/C that I had purchased through HD had the plastic piece for my window that didn't fit completely over the window. So I needed an extra piece of wood to cover that spot. The guy was so nice to just give me the piece of wood for free. A very honest and a helpful man! read more

I visit this Home Depot around 2 or 3 times a month. I will say that they have great self checkout and a good selection of products. But, if you come here for service, you may not get it. Out of the dozens and dozens of times that i have been in this store, do you know how many times someone has come up to me and asked if i needed help? ZERO. Yeah really. We shop the Covington store often, but we needed a stackable washer and dryer at our cabin and ordered it online. The cabin is a few miles from Olympic National Park-so it's in the boonies and there's no cell service part of the way. Not only was it the best price we found, they delivered it free and took the antiques for $15. The arrived on time, installed and tested the washer and there was no surprise surcharge for delivering 100 miles from Kent. read more

The only problem I have is that my smartphone never works there so I cant check any reviews of the products I am looking at. I like to comparative shop and its almost impossible at that store, I have to know exactly what I want before I go there and if I see something new I cant check reviews on it until I go outside where I can get a signal. I have Verizon so it just might be that. Its crazy that my phone works right when I walk out of the store, Its like they have something that blocks the signal so you cant comparative shop. If it is just a bad spot for phones then get a free internet signal so people can get online and check prices and reviews of products. I went there to get a refrigerator and probably would have bought one the same day if I was able to see some third party reviews on what I want to spend 5+ thousand dollars on. The lady there said we can go look at her computer and when I told her I like to check stuff out myself she kind of had an attitude. So yes it could be Verizon just doesn't work there and its not some conspiracy theory that they don't want you to comparative shop. But and if thats the case I am almost positive they would make more money if they spent a little on free internet access so people can comparative shop and feel a little bit better before they purchase big ticket items. I did try to find some internet access when I was there and they did have some home depot access point but they were all locked with passwords. So they might not actually have to spend any money on the internet just make a guest account so consumers can use it. And if anyone thinks we rely too much on our phones, well, your right, but thats the world we live in and its just getting more technical not less. read more

If you know what you want and can get it without help and are willing to use the self checkout, this store is fine. If you want help or advice, go to Johnson's or McClendon's. Let me preface that I have spent thousands of dollars at this store.This store used to be excellent on customer service, but has suffered horribly over the last 18 months. One of my complaints is the blocking of aisles while they use a forklift to restock. While I understand the safety issue, why can't this be done during the overnight hours. 3 trips in a row I had to wait while they pulled product down for restocking. Speaking of restocking, I swear the employees are paid on the amount they restock rather than the number of customers they help. Do these people need incentivizing just to help customers? I would hope not. My other complaint is aimed at a few but not all HD employees. Many are so condescending when you ask a question, they roll their eyes and make you feel like a fool when asking a question that is easy for them but confusing to you. HD-remember that your customers are your lifeline and not making sure the shelf is faced-out and has 12 bottles of product versus 8. Highly disappointing. read more

Gardening employee, Jodi, is such an asset to this store. My wife and I were so awed with her coming to our assistance today, May 27th, 2016. We had waited 1/2 hr. for the dark brown rubber mulch to be brought in as we were told it would be by another employee. That employee and 2 fellow employees working together with a forklift, resupplying mulch were not bringing in the dark rubber mulch product. Jodi asked if she could assist us and then informed us that as far as she could recall the store does not stock that product this year. She checked the company computer and verified that the product is only available in bulk and on line only. I thanked her for coming to assist us and complemented her as we noticed she constantly moved throughout the area helping customers and straightening product and sweeping an entire area of spilled product. She never quit working while we were there. Jodi, thank you! We give you 5 stars. This store is better because of your knowledge and work ethic and we will be looking for you in the future.
