    Moldings gone and winter approaching.

Paid $8000 in full before the delivery and installation of 2 Feather River entry doors and an Andersen 400 specialty transom window including installation. Promised an 8-week window but got half an order 6 months later. The molding on one door overlapped and one door was put in crooked- yes crooked. The contractor mismeasured our transom and forgot to reorder another & pulled off the moldings to that window & threw them away. We went in and Millworks told us a new one was never ordered, they ordered another wrong window and charged us for restocking. We were told everything was Energy Star certified but they never gave us the certificate or the stickers that were put on by the manufacturer. We went over our order and noticed we were charged for things we didn't get, and our screen door was supposed to be re-installed, but the contractor threw it away. Waiting for refund of money.

Over 45 minutes to pickup a one item order that was supposed to be ready to pickup yesterday, but wasn't ready until today. Did i mention that there were 9 empty (out of 10, i was the 1) pickup spots open for the entire time...no other pickups. I had to call the store to get my order delivered to my car. Suffice to say I'm not thrilled with losing a whole day of work on my project waiting for the tool i need.

James (in the power tool aisle) was extremely helpful, treated my son kindly, and took time to explain which tools would be best for what my son wants to do.

After paying extra for installation, the installers kinked my propane line and installed the range without a rear leg. It cost me an additional $200 to have a plumber come and fix the propane line. The leg is still MIA. The range is a lemon. It's brand new and thermostats for both ovens need to be replaced as well as the fan motor. The ovens are smaller than the floor model I was told was the exact same size and where I tested the size of my sheets/pans. The griddle doesn't heat evenly the burners are terrible. I have asked to have it replaced due to the malfunctions but keep getting the runaround from the Zemels salesman. He wants to repair and blames the manufacturer for not replacing but when i contacted the manufacturer, they tell me that is solely up to the store. I have ok'd the repair because i have been left no other choice. A brand new, high end appliance should not need replacement of three major components right out of the box. What does that say about the quality and longevity of the rest of the parts? I tried to shop local but am getting the worst customer service ever for my effort. Next time I'll stick with Home Depot or Lowe's. Certainly not worth my $6,000! It has been 7 months since I ordered this nightmare and still no resolution. Hopefully Zemels will do the right thing and take this piece of junk back and refund my money. Otherwise I'm going to have to take legal action and nobody wants that. Hoping to update this with a positive resolution.

I'll give Best Buy credit where it's due--they're great at making the sales experience smooth and…read moreconvincing. Unfortunately, the customer service and support after the sale leave a lot to be desired. In January 2024, we purchased a high-end GE washer. I was a little hesitant since I prefer simpler, more basic machines, but my husband prefers the latest tech. Consumer Reports gave it decent reviews, and we purchased the extended service plan to cover our bases. We thought we'd be in good hands. Just over a year later, the washer stopped spinning. We contacted Geek Squad, and the technician who came out was courteous and professional. He said we needed replacement parts, which we ordered. When the technician returned, we were told the parts were incorrect. More parts were ordered, but even with the right ones, the repair didn't resolve the issue. At that point, we were told we needed a replacement washer. Unfortunately, our model was discontinued, so rather than a simple exchange, we had to pay the price difference for the new model and purchase a new five-year service plan--an additional $300 not long after we had already spent $900+ on the original machine. We called Geek Squad to arrange delivery and specifically asked them to note that the washer would need to be carried up two flights of stairs. We understand that's a tough ask, but we wanted to be upfront. Delivery day arrived after about a month of waiting without a washer. One of the installers immediately started voicing complaints about the stairs, which continued throughout the visit. He wasn't as difficult as a previous installer who claimed the machine wouldn't fit--despite a Best Buy rep having come to measure in advance and confirm that it would. A few hours later, the washer was in and running a test cycle. We even gave the installer a cash tip and some refreshments to show appreciation. Unfortunately, once it hit the spin cycle, it shook violently--clearly not level, which should have been addressed during installation. We went to return an unused part (which we were required to purchase) at the store and asked the Geek Squad representative if someone could come out and level it. He told us we'd need to call a number, as he couldn't help us in person without charging. He was polite and doing his job, but it was frustrating to be told to go home and make a phone call for help that could have been arranged then and there--especially since we'd paid for installation and an extended service plan. This entire experience felt like a series of dropped balls. From incorrect parts to long delays, extra fees, and avoidable installation issues, the process was exhausting. I would not recommend purchasing a major appliance from Best Buy if you're expecting reliable after-sales support. The in-store team is generally friendly, but they're limited in what they can do, and the larger system seems to prioritize process over people. As for Geek Squad, I understand the job can be tough, but consistent negativity from technicians doesn't inspire confidence. In short, for anything more than a basic, inexpensive item, you may want to look elsewhere.

They do a thorough and accurate complete job. Friendly technicians too. Highly recommendread more

Charles helped me narrow down the selections based on my overall wants (double oven) and need (ASAP). We narrowed it down to one which had about a 1-2 week lead time since all the ones in inventory were already spoken for. No big deal, I placed the order and the next day Charles called with good news, there was an extra unit available and that I could get it within 24 hours. I said let's go for it. The delivery team hauled away the old unit and got our new one in without a hitch. They even made sure it was fully leveled and that I was happy with everything before I signed off on anything. PC Richards in Danbury has a wonderful team with friendly customer service. My husband and I are even thinking of getting a new dishwasher and will definitely use PC Richards again.

They completely deny any liability and left me with almost FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in damages. I have never encountered such HORRIBLE customer service in my life and will never order from P.C. I went over to Lowe's Home Improvement for a part I needed and they didn't have it, but the employee at the front of the store looked it up on his phone and gave me some other options in the area. I've never seen another business do that because normally businesses don't help their competition. Their staff put my needs first, even though they weren't going to get any money out of it. That actually makes me want to go back to their store when I do need something else in the future. Other businesses should learn from that model. That's a rare thing in this day and age. I also called the manager to let them know how courteous their employees are and they told me they get comments like that about their staff regularly so it's not an anomaly. Their staff is really helpful and will help you get what you need even if they don't carry what you need themselves. I have always enjoyed shopping here. They have a higher quality of products than their counterpart down the street. There's tons of parking here. You will never lack for parking. It's also conveniently located near a lot of other things to do in the area. Thank you!
