We never had a better shopping experience in our life thanks to their employee Cat at self check out. The store was in perfect order, the temperature inside also perfect. As my wife and I entered the store we were happily greeted by Cat. That put my wife and I in a way better mood because we didn't even want to be there but we had to get a project done. Thankfully Cat was there to lift our spirits and on top of that she also asked us if we needed any help finding anything and she pointed us exactly in the right direction! Nice job Cat! There for an hour. Asked for help and no one responded. Lots of people walking around doing nothing.

This Home Depot has a slightly better selection than other locations in the Milwaukee area. It seems to receive a wider variety of products. We have a Home Depot closer to us (South East Milwaukee location), however we sometimes find our selves at the Home Depot in Franklin for particular items. The customer service is friendly, and our visits are usually productive. The store layout is nice and well-labeled. One of my favorite features of this location is the order online and pick-up in store feature. Home Depot will email you when your order is ready (within an hour or so after you place the order), and you can use their super convenient pick-up lockers at the front of the store. Just enter your pick-up code, the door opens automatically, and away you go! If you only need a few items and don't want to browse, this feature is extremely convenient. An extra bonus of this location - it's within half a mile of a Lowe's, a Menards, and a Pick 'n Save - making it extremely convenient if you're looking to compare prices or if you need to shop at multiple stores. read more

Nightmare. Kitchen remodel installation was horrible. Waited 7 weeks to finish. Installers for cabinets was a family affair. They brought their daughter for the install. The appliances are very tight in the built in look. Cabinet had a ding and they patched it. Electrician made the hole for a double light switch to large and said someone will fix that. Sink was not properly caulked. Counter top caulking was horrible only to come back and still not get it right. Plumber was great! Waited for city inspector for over a week and I finally called and took care of it. No communication from Team and I don't understand why there is a Team Manager in a different state and no one ever came to inspect the completion. It took 3 weeks for the TEAM to remove garbage from my garage. i would NOT recommend Home Depot for any installation of any kind. Also I ordered a Fire Door which they measured wrong. I ordered it in May 2024 came in wrong size and still waiting for install. I called the headquarters they took my information of the items that were wrong and still waiting for an answer from them in which it has been 2 weeks already. You pay up front for the project and that is how they can do whatever whenever. NEVER AGAIN. Horrible experience. read more

Worst experience ever! I bought windows and paid for installation. They brought the wrong windows with them the first time, they rescheduled twice after that, then finally did show up months later. They started by tearing the old windows apart, then stopped before finishing installation and just put the old wood back on, that they had just clawed off!! They said it would be more expensive than they originally agreed upon, because of rotting wood, which the original estimate literally says it covered all rotting, "seen and unforeseen"! They've acknowledged they are in the wrong based on the terms of the estimate, but offer nothing more than an apology that we we will not be getting what we paid for! After missing 4 days of work to have their installers not show or finish the job for one excuse after another, an apology just is not enough! read more

I drove out of my way to this location to see an item in person that was noted to be in stock at the Franklin store on the Home Depot website. A few observations about the store itself. Immediately, when I walked into the store proper I noticed that the store is laid out differently than every other Home Depot location in the area. No biggie. But, it's a noticable, brief adjustment. The indoor plant section was very small in size and selection. I won't ever come back to this location for indoor plants. In contrast, the Holt Avenue location has one of the largest and nicest indoor plant sections of the Home Depot stores in the Milwaukee area that I have visited. We went specifically to the Franklin location in need of new mailbox and mailbox post. I know nothing at all about mailbox replacement. I bought a house a few years ago. I knew that there would be grass to cut and snow to shovel but I had no idea that one day I'd come home from work and my mailbox would have died. At the Franklin store a staff person saw me peering quizzically at the wall of mailbox accoutrements and asked if I needed help. It must have been written all over my face. Yes, girl. Please. Help! The staff person was so personable, helpful and spent a good bit of time with me. I walked away from our interaction with my questions answered, clear next steps and feeling much more knowledgeable about the entire mailbox situation. read more

I had a water heater installed 2 years ago. The installation was done promptly. The Home Depot website states 3 year warranty on installation labor. Cold water supply now has a leak at the fitting the installer used. Contacted store and they said the installation warranty is only 1 year unless you pay for the additional 2 years at time of service. That was never offered or explained. They offered to send the installer back out to repair at a minimum $125 charge. Disappointed that they do not stand behind their installation as advertised. I won't make the mistake of using their installation service again. read more

Reserved a box truck online. Called to confirm that it would be held for me since I had only that day available to move - they confirmed. After waiting in line for 20 minutes (not a complaint - they were busy), I was informed that they never reserve or hold outdoor equipment. "Then why was it confirmed to me?" The response, "We do not reserve or hold outdoor equipment," again... Asked to speak with someone else about this issue and was told a manager would be up in 5 minutes to speak with me. 35 minutes later, I left without ever seeing a manager. On my way out, another employee asked what happened and he ended up shouting and cursing about the poor management at the location. I still don't mind shopping at Home Depot, but management needs to consider responding to their customers. read more

I used to come in this store and go straight to Jesse in plumbing for help. He was an extremely knowledgeable and helpful associate. Since his departure I noticed just how little help this store actually provides. One visit I even paged an associate 3 different times, and after 20 minutes still no one came. I'll have to figure out how to post a picture for that as I left them a note. If Jesse had not been so helpful I would rate a one star. Learn the layout or use the app to find something, because you'll walk around all day trying to find someone willing or able to actually help you. This is also one of the stores that has discontinued the veteran discount, even though most other Home Depot stores still offer this. read more

There are so many associates in the store, walking around or sitting on the floor talking to each other. I ask for assistance and someone is always being paged, but nobody shows up. These places make me miss the neighborhood True Value or Ace Hardware stores, sort of like hearing an Ohio Players song makes me miss weighing only 140 lbs and being able to dance. Oddly, they play 70's dance music here. Compared to the neighborhood hardware store, these places deserve no stars, there's no one here with helpful experience or that sense of ownership and community. Compared to the other big box hardware-appliance stores around here, well this one still falls a little short. The only person I could catch to give me the simplest of directions walked with a limp, the others moved too quickly away from me. If you want to find something, don't have that look on your face, it's how the workers know to avoid you. You really have to do your research before you get here, know exactly what it is you need, compare and contrast (no, that's an essay assignment I just gave, just compare) products using customer reviews online first. Twice now I haven't done that and walked out of here with an inferior product or not exactly what I needed, that I could have gotten cheaper on line anyway. read more

Years ago, Home Depot was the undisputed champ of the home improvement business. Menards, a few doors down, operated what could only be described as a crowded, messy dump of a store, and there were no other real options. Today, Menards has a nice new store across the way, and Lowes is just down the block. Both have somewhat better access to the constantly busy 27th Street than Home Depot, which is tucked back behind a small strip mall and an empty restaurant. There's no main exit for HD, but the one that's most obvious conveniently sports a "Right Turn Only" sign. Bah. Despite that, I kind of like Home Depot. It's well organized and well maintained, obviously some talent goes into their stores. I wish they'd stop shooting themselves in the foot though. Every now and then I hear dumb things ("guy accidentally pockets pencil from counter, charged with shoplifting and banned for life") or see things that just make no sense (like the Basement Watchdog battery sump for $239 that Ace sells, under an Ace brand, for $169). Still, this store does have proximity to Menards, Lowes, True Value, and Farm and Fleet, which means that when I'm looking for some particular thing, it's right where I'd like it to be. I'm in it at least once a month, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Wish I could give like 2.5 stars. read more

Ordered a dry and washer 12 days ago. I was supposed to get a call 24 hours before the delivery for the 4 hour window they were going to deliver it in. Nothing. So I called only to be told it was rescheduled for another day. My cell phone was somehow not listed on the order, although it is written multiple times on the copies of the order I have. When I asked to complain to a manager, the service member connected me to a customer service representative that never picked up after 5 minutes. So I called the number on the order. Same deal. The rep even said they called. Nothing. No phone call or voicemail. I work on the day they rescheduled it. She said that she couldn't reschedule it, and I would have to call back the next morning. I played around with the tracking and found that I can reschedule it. I feel like I'm being played. Now I have to wait 19 days for something I paid for! I also have to reschedule it on my move date, which will be even greater stressor. Biggest waste of time. read more

Do not use Home Depot for remodel job! Wish I could give 0 stars. They send a sales consultant to do the measuring so the person made huge errors. So huge it put a 5 week delay on my project and the project had to be modified so isn't what I had planned on from the beginning. But they get you to pay upfront so you cannot cancel unless you want to be out $20k. Then when the error is discovered Crew2 (the contractor team) definitely doesn't seem to want to help out or make customer happy, I had to come up with ideas on how to fix the issue. Also that sales consultant failed to notice my sub panel was coded wrong, so yet additional charges after the fact. So added stress and coordinating on my end when that should be what the contractor is for. They are quick to add charges to your job even when they know they have and still are putting me through stress of my project not being completed. They want me to pay for something that wasn't even done (counter measure person confirmed it wasn't done), then also want to add install charges to slide out shelves that were on my order from day 1. But they neglect to realize I paid for installation of quarter round but the installer did not end up doing due to my floors being done after this project. Again they get you to pay upfront and then keep adding charges so you are locked in. They don't offer refunds on things you paid for but didn't get (like the installation of quarter round). Now next is I get a call from counter installer, I owe an additional $550 since their measuring team has added items that Home Depot didn't think to tell me about. Again DO NOT use Home Depot for any remodel job. I will not even be shopping there due to the stress and lack of above and beyond to make a $20k paying customer happy. Been without functioning kitchen for over 7 weeks now and still have at least 2 more to go, fingers crossed no more delays. Was to be a 4 week job but due to their errors, the customer pays for both financially and physically. read more

Ordered dishwasher. Set up delivery and install. Told them I had a 3:00 doctors appointment that day. At 2:35 called and cancelled appointment as I had to leave. Got a call after 4:00 from install crew wanting to deliver (while I was gone). Tried several times to reschedule to no avail. Went to store to get money back. Store said it would take 3-5 days. Waited. Still no money, so called store. They told me I needed to come in to store despite Governor's orders to stay home. Now I have to wait for "check in the mail". The best hardware store in the area. As long as your not looking for a rare speciality item, they have it. Staff is very helpful. Checkout and returns are accommodating and hassle free. Check them out for installation on all types of flooring. If you spend enough money, easily beats other companies like Empire. Lately staff is a little hard to find, need to add some more staff to shifts. read more

Never do business with Maple Grove Home Depot or with Linn Star Transfer Inc (delivery company for Home Depot). Want to give less then one start but can not go lower then one. Purchased a new drier, delivery and installation. The new drier was to be delivered on Friday July 14th between 11:00-3:00. They driver called 30 minutes before arriving to say would be about 1:30. All that went as planned. They removed the olde drier and installed the new one. Pushed the button to start the drier and it does not work. Driver say's he is sorry the new drier does not work. The driver tells my wife the drier will be repaired or replaced, the issue will be resolved TODAY. Someone will give you a call back. The phone number on the order is mine. No one ever called me back before I got home. When I arrived at 4:30 the drier was in place. I pushed the button to start it and makes the sound of a jammed motor and it does not work. No one still had called back. Wife called and left a message with the delivery company about 5:00pm or so. No one called back. I called the Home Depot store and left a message for the manager at 6:30 pm on July 14th. At 7:00 or so I get a call from the delivery company. The guy say's he just now got my wife message and that sorry for confusion. (I call the delivery company representative a liar!!!!!! He had the wife's phone message earlier just blow us off. The store manager had received my message and contacted the delivery company and told them to call me because not store issue.) THe delivery company guy tells me they do not have an another new drier and that no one is available to fix the drier. It will be replaced when they have one. So I said to him, was told it would be resolved TODAY, was told someone would call and no one did. You took a working drier and left a broken one. So now I have to give up have a day and spend money at a laundromat and give up a day of work for you to come back. He said sorry just delivery company cannot do anything. So why did you not put the old working one back and take the broken new one away. He said against company policy to install old one back in place. So I said to him your company sucks, Home Depot sucks and that I do not want to hear back from him except for delivery date which better be fast and hung up. It is now 10:00 am on Saturday July 15th and still the Home Depot manager has not called back. Guess he is thinking NOT my problem. I sold the machine, we did not manufacture it so it is someone else's problem that it is broken, someone else will deal with it. I was visiting the area to help my elderly Dad move into a new place. He needed a shelf for his kitchen. I went to the nearby Home Depot in Oak Creek and was surprised at how empty the parking lot was. Inside I found the shelves we needed and went to the "Cutting Center" to get them cut to length. They refused based on some policy around covered materials. I talked to a manager and she muttered something about safety. Their saw seemed in good order with a vacuum system. I can't see how cutting a small shelf is a problem. I then walked over half the length of the store looking up and down the isles and did not see a single clerk except the paint guy. Clearly, the management at this store is not at all concerned about customer service. I hope the corporate offices see the problem here and replace the manager or close the store. They have a serious business issue here. I am no longer surprised about the empty parking lot. read more

Everyone here was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and they all seemed pretty happy... No one was grouchy or seem like they didn't want to help me! :) I registered for children's workshop for my daughter but she had a fever and couldn't attend I called ahead and they set aside one of the kids for me which is totally appreciated! When I was ready to check out holding my two plants that I was going to buy someone asked me if I was parked near the entry doors... He told me I didn't have to walk all the way to the registers on the other side of the store and I could just check out where it said returns right where I was parked! How considerate:) read more

What a waste of time. From the person staring at the floor when you walk in, to everyone who scurries in the other direction when you are looking to ask a question. The store has no "press for help" buttons in spots where every other DIY store has them, and that's probably because there is no useful help there. It obviously has a serious management problem. Rented a floor sander and edger, the edger did not work at all, the wheel kept falling off and the sander was actually off balance causing gouges in the wood floor. This equipment was rented after 4pm yesterday and returned this morning before 7am, when returned the clerk agreed yes it is broken but you still have to pay the rental fee because you didn't return the equipment immediately. Spoke with a manager, nope still have to pay rental because you didn't return. I'm sure everyone can do the math, by the time it was discovered the edger didn't work it was later in the evening. So thanks for the gouges in my floor, for charging me for faulty equipment, and as always putting policy over customer service! read more

This particular Home Depot had the water heater I needed, however it was difficult to get home because it's 200 pounds and I needed help getting it into my basement. Luckily I was able to utilize my neighbor to help me bring it downstairs. Later, upon unpacking the water heater I noticed it was damaged. I figured this occurred when the Home Depot employee loaded it onto one of the carts which caused it to scrape up on the side of the cart causing a dent in the back of the water heater. Upon contacting the water heater manufacturer I realized this might be an issue with the glass liner of the water heater itself. I called Home Depot and spoke to a manager and indicated that I no longer had my help to bring it upstairs and no longer had the truck that brought it to my house in order to exchange it. Because I had purchased a damaged water heater, I had asked that they exchange it and deliver it to my house and taking away the old water heater. She indicated that she could not do this without charging me a delivery fee. I asked to talk to a store manager who would have the ability to waive this delivery fee, but she indicated the store manager was busy and was not able to talk to me. I told her to have the store manager call me back in a half an hour and she laughed at me before she hung up. Store manager never called. It's completely unprofessional!! When I argued that it was her employee that loaded the water heater and damaged it she indicated that if she asked that employee he would say that I did it. I had to pull out the "customer is always right card", which I hate using however in this case she inferred that if I had an argument with an employee there then they would side with the employee about who is right. This is completely unacceptable. They should've bent to over backwards to keep me happy but instead they decided they were able to lose a customer. I will not return to this Home Depot. This is the reason big business sucks. They don't care to lose any customers. read more

The manager really helped so i can't fault her but the rest was a mess and 6 phone calls later it was not done when it was suppose to be. Called the store at 11am to order a water heater to be installed. the associate said if i called by noon i could get it installed today. Great it was 11am. gave her all the info. she said someone would be calling me. Okay at 1pm when i rec've no call i started calling the store. could get no one to answer the phone. did you know that the call was coming from Minn? really i live in wis and the scheduling for wis is made in minn? so, they blamed homedepot and homedepot blamed them but someone had the phone number incorrect. so they left a message for the wrong person. so guess what when i landed up calling minn they said to bad so sad you did not get your order in by noon. but i said i did at 11am this morning. to bad the number was not correct to your are out of luck. really? what is wrong with this picture read more
