The steak itself was absolutely perfect and the bread under soaked up all those juices so you didn't have to lick the plate after (great ingenuity when dining out :)) The desserts were fantastic but the star of the show was def the raspberry blondie. It was everything I imagined and more. The perfect sweet and tart mixed in a bowl with spoons ... thank you for not plating this - I felt like I was at home about to sit on the couch and indulge in something I created. Perfect experience, perfect presentation and to top it off their restaurant is surrounded by their farm. I stopped in shortly after opening and purchased two 9/16" rubber washers for approximately $1. Since I didn't have cash, I used my debit card. The cashier informed me there was a $3 minimum purchase requirement. When I said I did not need anything else, a man I assume was the owner told the cashier to simply add $2 as "labor" to reach the minimum. I found it strange that I was charged an additional $2 for no product or service. Although it was only $2, it was still money taken from my pocket for nothing. After leaving, I recalled that businesses are generally prohibited from imposing minimum purchase requirements on debit card transactions. I called the store to discuss the issue, but the person who answered, whom I believe was the same individual, abruptly hung up. I then returned to the store, where he was waiting near the entrance. When I showed him information regarding the law as it relates to debit card minimums, specifically 15 U.S.C. § 1693o-2 (Durbin Amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act) he responded, "I was the one who hung up on you. I don't care. Have a nice day. Go tell your President." Regardless of the amount involved, what disappointed me most was the attitude and lack of professionalism displayed by the owner. I have always tried to support local businesses, but after this experience, I will not be returning. The $2 isn't the issue. The issue is an owner who apparently believes the rules don't apply to him and treats customers with contempt when they're brought to his attention. I hope the appropriate agencies and card networks share his confidence.

He then explained that if we purchased the trimmer/edger we would also get the necessary battery and charger that would work with all three implements. To further help us make the purchase decision he opened the trimmer/edger and put it together which allowed my husband to really assess if it was going to work for him. At another point in the process, Jim, from electrical came over to lend a hand. This level of service was exceptional and will not be forgotten the next time we need to make hardware purchases!! Thanks to Home Depot for hiring such dedicated employees.

My Home Depot truck rental experience was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever…read morehad. I reserved a rental truck three weeks in advance at the Carol Stream, IL Home Depot. When I arrived to pick it up, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled. No one could explain why, and I had received no phone call, email, or any other notification that my reservation no longer existed. The rental associate did everything they could to help, but they were just as confused as I was. They even told me this isn't an uncommon occurrence and that two other customers the day before had also been turned away after their reservations were mysteriously cancelled. That says this is a systemic problem, not an isolated mistake. The associate searched for another available truck and found one at the Downers Grove Home Depot. Before making the drive, I called that store myself and was told they had a truck available. After driving all the way there, I was met by employees who informed me they had misread the computer system and there was actually no truck available. I asked to speak with a manager. While he acknowledged my frustration, he also couldn't explain why my original reservation had been cancelled. After a lengthy discussion, the only solution offered was a truck that had been taken out of service because of a broken windshield wiper. Since I had no other option and urgently needed the truck, I accepted it. To the manager's credit, he reduced my rental charge by 50% for the 2.5-hour rental, and I appreciate that gesture. However, a discount doesn't fix the underlying issue. The most frustrating part is that Home Depot allows customers to reserve trucks weeks in advance, charges a reservation fee, and then apparently provides no guarantee whatsoever that the truck will actually be there. If reservations can simply disappear without notice, what is the purpose of making one? To make matters worse, the manager even suggested that perhaps I was supposed to do something after making the reservation to confirm it. I did exactly what Home Depot required--I made the reservation, received a confirmation number, and paid the reservation fee. There was nothing else I was instructed to do. My advice to anyone considering a Home Depot truck rental is simple: don't rely on the reservation. Even if you have a confirmation number and have paid the reservation fee, there is apparently no assurance that a truck will be available when you arrive. If you're moving or working on a project with a strict schedule, be prepared for the possibility that your reservation could be cancelled without warning and without explanation. This entire experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and completely avoidable. Home Depot needs to fix its reservation system or stop calling it a reservation in the first place. Angry customer

The sign showed that if you buy a V20 4Ah Battery & Charger Starter Kit for $99, you get one select tool free. The promotion dates were printed right on the sign, valid from 10/16/2025 to 01/07/2026, so I knew the deal was active. An employee helped confirm the exact items, the V20 starter kit and the Craftsman router I chose as my free tool. Everything matched the sign perfectly. But when I went to check out, the battery kit rang up at $149.99 instead of $99. The cashier was polite and called for a manager named Lisa. From the moment Lisa walked over, her attitude was completely unprofessional. I calmly explained that there is an error with this item, and I was simply trying to buy the advertised $99 deal with the free select tool. Instead of listening, Lisa immediately said, "It can't be marked down as free," in a dismissive tone. I tried to clarify again, but she abruptly turned her back and walked away without another word to check the sign. I followed her to the display, where I pointed directly to the sign that clearly showed the $99 sale price and free tool offer. She responded with a condescending explanation that their "system doesn't give away free items" and "balances the price between them." I explained that I understood how bundled promotions work, and I just wanted the correct sale price honored, but she spoke to me in a rude, patronizing way, as if I couldn't understand English or was trying to cheat the system. The entire interaction was embarrassing and demeaning. Lisa's tone, body language, and attitude made it clear she had no interest in helping, and she treated me as though I wasn't worth her time. I asked if I could speak to another manager, and she flat-out said, "I'm the only manager here. Call corporate," then walked away again. I left the store and called Lowe's corporate customer service to file a complaint. They encouraged me to return inside to resolve the issue, but I told them Lisa had already instructed other employees to ignore me. Shockingly, the misleading sale sign was still hanging even after the issue was brought to her attention. I've spent a lot of money at this Lowe's over the years, but this experience left me feeling completely disrespected and unwelcome. I was calm, polite, and simply asking for the deal exactly as advertised, and was treated as if I was doing something wrong for reading their own sign correctly. If this is how the Carol Stream Lowe's trains its managers to treat paying customers, it's a real shame. Lisa should not be in a customer-facing role. Her attitude was unprofessional, rude, and discriminatory in tone. For anyone considering shopping here, please avoid this store. Go to another Lowe's or take your business to Home Depot, where customers are treated with basic respect and fairness. No one should ever be made to feel the way I was treated here.

I repackaged it and tried to return it, but was told I couldn't because it had been used. I offered to take store credit or exchange it for a different tool, and both were refused. They would only exchange it for the exact same item. I only used the tool because their employee recommended it for this specific job. Very disappointing customer service and return policy. I'll stick with Menards.

I am into gardening these days and I visited this store to buy stuff that I needed and also to look for other plants that are available in this store. Parking is easy as a pie because it is wide and spacious. The store is so big and I don't really know where to find the gardening supplies and other stuff since I don't really go in this store and it was probably my first time. Staff member probably saw me confused and he then approached, which I am very thankful for. The staff was so nice and asked me if I needed some help, I said yes and then he helped me with it. The layout of the whole place is actually nice but it is just really so big that if I find the sections for the things I need then it would probably take a long time. I am just really glad that their customers are great. They really treat the customer the best. When I got to see the selection, I was really amazed because they have a wonderful and varied selection of pots and plants which are really beautiful. The prices of each are also pretty reasonable. It is definitely a great deal. I was able to get everything I needed without a hassle. The products they have based on what I have seen are really wonderful with amazing designs and by the looks seem like the quality is great too. There are two things home depot never failed me, good deals and lower prices, precisely what I need in my business. My local Home depot delivers the materials exactly when I need those items for my projects, giving me fewer worries about purchasing the products since they have customer service that is easy to handle. Every time I visit their store to take a look for other materials. I have always been greeted by their employee and assist in my search for quality material. Purchasing items at the cashier does not take not much time. Some of their bath and sanitary materials in their shop list are costly, but after buying one of their products, you get what you've paid. No question asked. There are tons of opinions suggesting that home depot is the worst, but the store is well known not for that reason but the quality of the items and price. It is sad to look at some of the reviews that are not even professional contractors suggesting nonsense whatsoever. Home Depot is the best store in this city and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I have been to this location 4 times within this past month and unwillingly had to make several trips to get what I needed as they never seem to have any employees working there after 5 p.m.! I spend over an hour there the other day just looking for someone to help me purchase doors and ended up leaving because they were short staffed and no one was going to show up. The prices are a little higher here than at HD/Lowes for equivalent things (the brackets I bought here were just under $5 vs $2 and change at the other places), but it's convenient and I like that it feels more personable. For the odd project and hardware need, I don't mind paying a bit more for convenience. But if I needed more than 3 sets of brackets, I would've taken the time to head across town to save the extra cash. Sadly their popcorn machine wasn't in use while I was there, though.

I love the shelf above the sink; and my husband got the small pantry cabinet he envisioned, which has enabled us to keep the counters free of clutter. Lauren understood our vision, and her attention to detail was second to none. We appreciated being able to borrow cabinet panels to take with us to pick out flooring, countertops and wall color. We now have an updated kitchen (no more soffits!) in our 1950s home, without losing it's warmth and charm.

I was given a email address of myafwarranty claim.com we filed the claim someone did came out looked at the sofa and his filed a report they there response was " After careful review of the information submitted and your plan's terms and conditions, it appears that the reported issue is the result of normal wear and tear rather than a specific accident or incident. Normal wear and tear is the expected decline in the condition of a product due to regular daily use. Furniture becomes worn looking because of normal physical deterioration that occurs with everyday use. It is expected that there will be some scuffs, a gradual buildup of soiling, and minor damage that occurs from repeated daily use rather than a specific incident. This includes but is not limited to mechanical or structural failure from repeated use rather than a particular event. According to the terms and conditions, wear and tear is expressly excluded from coverage and therefore ineligible for service. My response was. I walked in with my dad and my grandma with good vibes and…read morewe just needed to make copy for keys and as soon as we walked in my dad very nice and respectfully told and asked they lady that we need to copy some keys where do we go and as soon as my dad told her the lady up front on the sales floor rolled her eyes and spoke on the little thing they speak on to talk to other employees and said "someone's here to get copy of keys " with a bad ass attitude. I'm just wondering was it that hard to ask for another employee to help a couple customers to make a copy of some keys???? Be for real, she didn't even have to move a single toe and she had an attitude rolling her eyes. I felt bad for my dad honestly . :( he was so kind. The lady was so rude. I never got her name because I honestly didn't even want to speak with her. Then the guy that came to help us I told him that lady right there had an attitude and if she hates her job that much then quit instead of taking it out on ur customers and instantly he tried to go against what I was saying and said , "oh she didn't have an attitude " when clearly, she had an attitude and he has no say because he wasn't even there to see her rolling her eyes. cmon that shit was bogus be fr.
