The Good- Lots of stock on the shelves and seems to be staffed well. Pricing on some things is a bit high but relative to current market conditions The Bad- Went to shop for mini blinds. Nothing on the shelf fits but that's ok because these are made to be cut to the width of the windows. There is an apparatus right there to do so. HOWEVER, one sign says "We will cut to size in store while you shop" And then another paper sign that says "We don't cut grab and go mini blinds." Very confusing because I asked the adjacent department with cabinets and appliances if they cut blinds to the window width and he said the folks in blinds and flooring do. When I approached the person sitting at the desk and asked if he can cut some blinds down to my dimensions, he said "we can't cut them". I asked if customers are supposed to use the cutting machine to cut their blinds themselves or was it just for looks. He said, "We just can't cut them." My plan to initially buy 7 sets from HD plus some other items won't happen. Instead I went to Lowe's. I also have 6 additional sets I plan to replace but since HD won't cut to size with the equipment they already have, then my purchases will just be done elsewhere. If it's too much bother and if the customers are interrupting employees and whatever else is going on there in the store and there's no desire to sell goods, maybe I should just stick to the new "Blue" store closer to my house instead. Customer loyalty takes a while to earn but boy can it be lost in the blink of an eye. I realize this is being typed immediately after my visit and some personal passion is evident in what I've said above. I guess I'm a little peeved. My house sustained quite a lot of damage from Hurricane Milton. I've spent a generous amount of money at HD during this rebuild for materials and other supplies; walls, trim, paint, cleaning and storage items, etc. Seemingly simple home items like blinds may not appear to be that important on the surface. I've been living upstairs for more than 7 months. I'm at a point where I can move back into my bedroom on the first floor but need blinds for not only privacy but for blocking light. I still have to replace kitchen cabinets and attached drywall. There's additional renovations I'd like to do upstairs and will need floor covering, paint, blinds, etc. Easily a few grand at minimum. Something as stupid and meaningless as mini blinds and a lack to provide service for something that's been done in the past might be enough to cause my purchasing power to be redirected completely. You can buy a lot of items online from many sources and more often than not, at a better price. Folks like me show up at Home Depot and Lowe's for specific items and sometimes we just walk around and see what else we can buy that we don't need. But the main reason we go to the store to the shop....is the customer service. Without that, might as well find distributors online for all of our home needs. As cranky as this probably comes across, maybe look at a being said. Your BIGGEST asset and sale item is your service. When you only service expensive items and not the average purchased items, then you risk loosing most of your clientele. You can consider this review or ignore it. For the sake of Home Depot, I hope there is some consideration given to their meat and potatoes- "Service" Board associates sitting around chatting and ignoring customers probably isn't going generate the additional sales the corporation wants. Again, give it some thought or just dismiss the above. You have almost 17.1% of the US home improvement market against Lowe's at 15.2%. I'm sure you'll hold onto this lead.....for now. I would ask that you try to do better in the service area. read more

Typical Home Depot with the exception of a lack of customer service, particularly in the garden area. Be careful how much mulch or sod you buy, you may just have to load it yourself. Employees need a smoke break. Check the cost of those plants? No, that would take effort. Take it or 'leaf' it. We have been coming to this particular store for 20+ years and have noticed a steady decline in the service. Also, check prices online before going to the store. Some items have had a 100 dollar difference between in store and online. Save a trip and check online first. Know that the online price will not be honored in store. The cleanliness of the store is average, for example the outside light display is dirty and has some broken glass in some of the lamps. It's just not a good look for the overall presentation of your store. read more

I recently hired Home Depot to install a patio door that took forever then after they installed I noticed so many issues with the installation. Since 2016 ,this location stole our dishwasher,(which was paid in full with, delivery , and installation upfront), as of today 2022, still did not get our dishwasher, nor our money back.... We spoke with a manager in the store ,they couldn't find the dishwasher, and didn't even care . Tried to find a headquarter , or CEO , maybe they can figure that out , but negative... She was very helpful and knowledgeable. My big surprise is what I visited their restroom. For a hardware store I wasn't expecting anything grand. I love the manager of this Home Depot she is very rational and good and overall amazing, some of the old female cashiers those are rude grouchy impatient don't care about their job and treat customers like a pig and a processing house they really just don't care, but I can get over that because that's their own problem but me as a customer I don't like being treated second handedly. And the overall store is great of this Home Depot except for one thing the parking lot needs to be re-asphalt black topped!!!!!! So this store happened to have the rest of the flooring we needed. I called and purchased it over the phone and set up pick up for the following day. We went into the where the returns are processed and they pulled up my account. They called the people in the back and had my pallet brought up. The only confusing/questionable part was when I said my truck is down at the contractors loading area and can you have someone load me up down there? This is how the other home depot did it when I picked things up. The guy said he would rather just bring it up to where he was which was the entrance. Ok, welp I guess that will work. I called my friends to bring the truck up but unfortunately they were repacking the other flooring we had already picked up and were not able to move the truck right then. I asked the man who was considered the loader if he minded going down there and explained the situation. He trolled his eyes and said I guess. I told him I am happy to wheel the cart our myself to which I went to grab the cart. He said no, no, I guess I can do it. It is frustrating when someone is specifically sent to help you load up materials and then pretty much not helpful and only helpful once you sort of call him on it. Once to the truck he helped load and he was off. No more issues. And I am guessing if Corporate showed up this kiddo would not have been 'up to par' with their dress code. I get that people get dirty here and work hard but this guy had stained up jeans and a shirt that was the same. We loved how easy it was to call and then pick up items on a later date. It actually works really well. I had no issues at the other Home Depot. It just seems that this on hasn't figured out where they should load items that are picked up. I would say send it to the contractor pick up area and have a staff there who's sole purpose at work is to help load. There are so many mishaps taking place with customers that it would be very helpful. Once guy had a cart and everything slid off of it as he was pushing away from the register. We tried to catch it but it was too far gone. Bummer. Rainbow, you did a nice job with my order. From answering my questions to calling me back when you were available to take my order. The staff in the store is awesome. If you are grabbing a couple of items and can go through the self checkout, it is great. Even checking out at the garden center is good. Now the bad. The process of checking out when purchasing flooring and new appliances takes about three hours. Then when it is supposed to b delivered and you take a day off work and wait, they never show. No call, no show. When I called, they said stuff was on back order and blamed COVID. When I was in the store, they had plenty of flooring in stock. I talked to the flooring section manager. When the lady helped me order my kitchen appliances, she checked stock in the warehouse and everything was in stock. We scheduled a delivery date and I scheduled a day off with work. I ended up cancelling my order after they failed to show and then ordered the same stuff from Famous Tate on a friday. My appliances arrived Monday. All of them with no BS COVID excuse. COVID could have been a valid excuse if there were no items in the warehouse when I placed my order. I decided to give home depot another opportunity because my contractor swears by the kitchen department. I ordered the cabinets and George in kitchens swore I would have my cabinets today. I took off work again and no cabinets today. They are blaming this issue on the delivery driver having the wrong address. They took my address several times during checkout. He got it right when billing my home depot card. If they are not here by 9 AM tomorrow, I will cancel the cabinet order and order from somewhere else. I will still go to this store because of the graden section. When I rebuild my bathrooms and build an extension on my back porch along with an outdoor kitchen, I will try Lowes. If Lowes had a better vegatable garden section, I would skip this home depot altogether. Good luck if you need anything from this store that you cant get during self checkout. This store advertises their hours to be 6AM to 10PM Monday thru Saturday. But what they don't tell you is that you cannot get into the Garden Center or purchase anything in the Garden Center unless you go through the Front Door walk to the Garden Center get what you want and then go back into the main store to pay for the item(s). Gee would it not be great if someone would be smart enough to show on the website Garden Department Open from 8AM until ? How much time would that take??? I was there to purchase a door knob keypad. I asked for help, I showed a picture from the website of the exact one I wanted. I told him it was up top. And I was told he needed the sku# and walked away. The sku# was on the box, it was a yellow sticker! My daughter was on her way there because they were giving me a hard time. We found a nice man he couldn't get up top so he put in the sku# and found one in the bottom shelf. Yes I was looking everywhere for it and I couldn't find it, but all we needed was someone to offer help. Isn't that their job? Horrible customer service all around. Except the nice man who actually helped us, I just wish I could remember his name. But I was there on 6-28 around 5-6p.m. so I'm sure you can find out who that nice man was. If the store wasn't across the street from my house I would never go there. Except for in appliances, employees in that department go above and beyond. I bought a Masonite 50x80 Prehung entry door with two sidelights from this store in Holiday, FL. Since it was a custom order there were many specs included in the order including the paint color inside and out. They farmed out the install to J&G Carpentry in Valrico, FL. By the way the door was very expensive! After the door was installed I called a painter to paint those areas not painted due to additions during the install. He pointed out to me the sloppy counter sinking of the screws holding the door to the frame by the installers as well as the fact that 11 of the 25 screws were not sunk in deep enough to cover and paint over. I immediately notified Home Depot and J&G Carpentry of this and asked for immediate remediation. That was 4 days ago and nothing has been done yet, not even a call back indicating when something would take place. Today the county inspector came by and while he passed the door he did say it was a sloppy job of attaching the door to the frame. So here's my take on this....DO NOT BUY ANY CUSTOM DOORS FROM HOME DEPOT HOLIDAY. NEVER USE J&G CARPENTRY for any installations. read more

I bought Allure flooring for a rental and it is lifting in several places at the seams. It has a 25 year warranty however Home Depot and Traffic Master have came up with several reasons why they will not reimburse me. Most were ruled out except we did not use a 100 lb roller during installation. When we purchased the flooring an employee at Home Depot recommended at hand roller that we used. I will never use this product again or shop at Home Depot. Very unhappy. read more
