READ BEFORE BUYING- placed an order May 14 2025. I was told that the 17 they would be deliver. They brought them but couldn't install them because they had an object in the way. They rescheduled 2 times. They never came the week after. It's may 31st. They called me 20 minutes before and the guy who delivered " black shirt in pictures" he said that his time was precious and that didn't have the time to wait for not. Mind you I was 30 minutes from my home. I barely made it home to get them installed. I get home they're dropping them off. The guy started nice and all. I called my mother asked where to exactly install them at a certain place- he heard my mother say where to and oh my. He started going off- that we wasn't going to deal with us "people" -WOW- anymore that we have been wasting our time. Then he said he wouldn't install them. I told him okay drop them off leave them inside my house and I will find a way to install them. He didn't want to- he said no I'm not going to. I repeated 3 times drop them off, the whole time he is pissed RUDE. The other guy in green was nice didn't talk back just said hi and ask about my day. I was here for a quick grab after my shopping trip at IKEA. This Home Depot store is tucked behind Specs and other restaurants on feeder road. Parking was plenty. It was hot summer day, over 100 degrees. There are no shaded trees. So, my car endured the Texas solar heat. I was searching for some hand soap. I overheard a man talking about "sugar daddy" and "trip to New Orleans". I turned my head to see what the excitement was about. Ah, he was a grown man wearing The Home Depot apron with a tool branded Tshirt under it. I can only assume he was an employee. Ok. He was obviously on his cell phone and talking through his Bluetooth earbuds. He acted like shopping just like me by looking on the shelves. I reserved a box truck 10 days in advance of my daughter's move in day for college. Was for 7:30am pickup and an hour before my reservation they emailed to say it was canceled. I drove to the store and they did have a truck, but said it was reserved for someone else. At first they said they had no record of my reservation, so I showed them the email. This Home Depot is no different than the others, I like it, and it to me is just like Lowe's (except Lowe's has better decor items). What I found is that if they are out if a particular item, the shelf sticker has a six digit sku number. Look at the storage area way above the shelf, and the boxes have sku numbers written on them. This is where they stock the extra merchandise. If you see the sku number on a box stored there, just ask for help and a worker will get the item down for you. I was gifted a Home Depot gift card for $25. I brought it to this location in its new and sealed state. When attempting to scan the card to use, it was denied. When help arrived to the self checkout. The employee opened/peeled the gift card from its cardboard encasing. Upon doing this, the PIN was scratched off, making the card unusable. When a manager (Joslyn) arrived, she attempted to read the pin to no success and accused us of bringing a fake gift card multiple times. Why would I fake the minimum amount loadable to a gift card on a $150 purchase? We left paying the full amount and corporate has been contacted to help resolve the card issue. As a stock holder in the company this was a discouraging experience. Please train your management to have empathy instead of accusing the customer of fraud the first chance they get. Other than during hurricane season it's hardly that packed to where you would be within 6 ft of someone else. Was here to pick up some household needs (lighting and bleach). It was hard to find someone to assist me in lighting. I went to another department to ask for help and got the answers I needed. I proceeded to self-checkout needed assistance due to an error at the register and the employee was on his phone slouched over too preoccupied to assist. I literally had to leave my credit card in the machine since it said "do not remove" and go get him since me saying "sir, excuse me" eight times didn't get his attention. When I was getting assistance from an employee her manager stepped in unnecessarily and was very rude to both of us. It made me uncomfortable to see how one employee was treated by another. Well, this is my neighborhood Home Depot, and I've got to give the staff credit, they are helpful. But this is the third time I've come in and they don't have what I need, even after asking employees for help. I was looking for a weather tarp for my plants and they're out of it. Last time I came in looking for a mulch I bought here 6 months previously, and they also did not have that! When my husband and I were looking for fire pits they only had two models, and they were not what we were looking for. All frustrating to me. For such a large store, you'd think they'd have better selection. I will say, their plants are really good here, notably their tomatoes. I have been trying to get the refrigerator I bought on Black Friday (57 days ago). The order number was W908296825. I have tried to have this matter resolved dozens of times. I have even asked for a refund but while they have no problem keeping my $800+ they cannot give it back to me until they figure out what happened. I know what happened, I paid $800 for a refrigerator and they never delivered it. Well, 2 months later and they still have no clue what happened. We come to this Home Depot fairly regularly, but lately the service we've recieved from the associates has been outstanding. Need help finding a specific widget? Ask your friendly Home Depot worker and they'll show you right where it is. We had such great service when we came here for a Christmas Tree (they have an excellent selection of live trees), and the associate who helped us find the tree went out of his way to trim it, bag it, and then tie it to our car in the parking lot. Never have I ever seen an employee go out of his way to help us late on a Friday evening find the perfect Christmas Tree! I've never had any issues at this Home Depot, but I have been helped by several outstanding associates during several of my visits. Home Depot can be intimidating especially for a novice like my group and I. We had a Christmas gift in mind that required wood and paint. The four of us head to the lumbar department with an idea and that's about it. There we meet Richard and Eddie M. These two saved the day. They answered all of our (silly/ weird/ dumb) questions and even went above and beyond to help us cut all of the piece. This probably saved us days of work... seriously, days! Next, we head to the paint department where we meet Roderick. Roderick again answered all of our crazy question about how to paint the project. He helped us pick out all of the supplies and for the best price! All three of these men helped us with smiles on their faces. I think they were all very knowledgeable and super helpful. The store is just like all other Home Depot stores so I'm sure construction people will have no problem. However, it was extremely difficult for us to get any kind of service here. Literally no one would help us. We had contractors wrapping up a post flood project the next day and we could only install a very specific size of light fixture that we wanted them to put in while we had people working at our house anyway. In two days they would be gone and we work all day, so we had a tight time deadline. The selection in the size we needed was extremely limited and there was only one that would work with our bathroom. They were out of that one. Online it said they had three available. We need to figure out if they have any or we're stuck with a dated light fixture in our master bathroom for the foreseeable future. I kept asking people for help and they kept saying they would get someone, without really seeming to care if someone shows up or not. No one ever shows up. After 15 minutes of waiting, I actually call the store on my cell phone and tell them we are trying to get help. I was mistakenly hung up on once. Called again and they said they would send someone. Again no one comes to the aisle. I walk up to the help desk. She pages for help in the aisle. At that point my wife had found someone. All we needed was someone to tell us if they had the item in stock. We didn't need an expert in lighting, but the rule here seems to be that people don't help outside of their department. The lighting guy was busy, I get that. But no one else would offer any assistance in helping us figure out if they had an item - this isn't high level lighting work being done, just standard retail. So after about 40 minutes of this, we learn from the lighting guy that the light fixture is at a nearby store. Great, we head over and buy the fixture. Yet another hour of my life wasted dealing with post flood renovation stuff. read more

Delivery is not customer centric. We ordered an appliance and were given a delivery time of 10-2pm. It took nearly two additional hours past the initial max time to receive the washer at 4pm. The subcontracting company who delivered the machine was not apologetic. They said Home Depot could not dictate their logistic times as he showed me the delivery on his schedule stated 2-6pm. We received no notification of this time change even though we were alerted through text of the initial time frame. A simple text alert of the change would've been convenient and an apology would've helped the situation. read more

I've been shopping here for about 5 years and the decline is noticeable, especially if you compare them to Lowes just up the road. Today I asked three marginally interested people where the canned air was; one gave me wrong directions (misunderstanding maybe) the second, about as disinterested a person as I've ever seen, told me which aisle to look on, turned and sauntered lazily off. I looked and looked but never found it. The third reluctantly went with me to the aisle and they seemed to be out. He went for help and I waited in place for five minutes, but no one showed, so I left. Lowes is brighter, seems better-stocked, the help there is "OK", and it is just up the road at Bunker Hill. Home Depot just hasn't adjusted over the years, in my opinion, and is just less consumer-oriented than Lowes. They are a contractor/professional-oriented business. They should be called "Workshop Depot" not "Home Depot". read more
