Can't understand the three-star reviews. I've had such wonderful luck with all of the committed employees at this Castleton branch. I ordered French Doors. Alyson and Norinder - I may have spelled that wrong - were wonderful. The other Home Depots I have been to said that they didn't carry the type of French doors that I wanted. Clearly that wasn't the case. Also, we were looking for a screen door that had a certain kind of screen. Castleton didn't have it, but Alyson called another Home Depot - they had it and she had to put it behind the desk, so we could go pick it up. I had been to two other Home Depots whose employees didn't offer to do that, so I was especially impressed with that level of customer service. Also, the phone tree is very short and you can actually talk to a person very quickly. The people working at the front customer service desk are always very helpful too. Employees also seem to like to be there. That generally starts at the top, so it must be a well-managed location. read more

Isaac Pfeiffer with Team TTI was EXTREMELY helpful with helping me find sockets though Home Depot did not have what I needed and then Isaac further assisted me by looking up some gloves that my contractor needed and he walked me to them. I needed a vintage-style light bulb for my kitchen ceiling light, and was having trouble finding it. A couple of other stores did not carry the bulb in the size I needed, so I went to Home Depot. I should have gone to Home Depot first! I found a HUGE selection of light bulbs including several types of the one I needed. An excellent selection of hard-to-find light bulbs. Reasonable price, too. I went to the Home Depot on 96th st in Indianapolis. First visit to a home depot. Went to buy a John Deere zero turn lawn mower, worst experience ever thanks to the manager on Duty Justin Charles. He was berating a relative new employee because he had to call him for help, , he'd never sold one of these mowers and had no clue what to do. This manager was so awful to this employee I felt the need to step in on this poor guys benefit. Justin was just as rude if not more so to me, he is definitely not manager material at all. He even had customers exiting the store telling him he needed to stop and take a breath. Justin proceeded to pass the buck to another employee to help who just happened to be at lunch!!!! When the guy got back from lunch he came to help the new guy and help us get a lawn mower. We seriously were in this store well over an hour. As I was paying for this Justin had to again come up front, as I hold my breath for round 2 with this manager he proceeds to apologize. I then asked if he was going to apologize to the employee and agrees he will, I did verify he did in fact apologize. Just fyi if he hadn't had to come up front he would have NEVER apologized I'm certain of it. I've never experienced anything like this and have worked in customer service for 35 years. read more

Beware when ordering with a home delivery. Forklift dripped hydraulic fluid in multiple places staining my concrete drive and permanently scraped it in places. Ask the name of the delivery service and AVOID Maverick Transportation. Guarantee mine wasn't the only drive affected that day. HD seems to have washed their hands of this, but ultimately I am their customer and they should ensure that Maverick pays me for the repairs. Buyer beware. They mark sale prices and don't honor them. Went to go get seasonal, Bonnie Veggie plants and there were multiple signs 4for 12. When I got to check out they told me they weren't on sale right after the lady in front of us said there was a sale.sign on the mulch and they wouldn't honor it. read more

Did you know you can bring your dog into Home Depot? And that many of the employees have dog treats in their aprons? My dog is nervous and scared of men, so her trainer suggested I take her to Home Depot to walk around and get desensitized to loud noises and guys. The employees always love seeing her come in, and she loves getting so much attention (ok, let's be honest - she likes the treats). I was recently there to get some paint, and the woman who helped me was polite and very efficient even though it was somewhat close to closing time and I'm sure she was tired and ready to go home. I've never been made to feel dumb when I need to ask an employee where to find something. read more

I'm unsure what the pro staff even does. There were 4/5 guys sitting around talking while I watched a couple eye me while I loaded 12' 4x8 drywall on my own. They rarely open a second register by pro parking. Only if there is a line of 6 or more people and normally it's another cashier that happens to pop up, definitely not a pro staff. We got a bunch of snow last night (8+ inches)... it's 1123 and a plow truck hasn't even touched the parking lot. The only reason I still came in is because they carry the rigid chop saw. Otherwise I'd go to menards. Rental is kind of... lackluster. On a plus! The bathrooms are always decent and they have a couple nice cashiers! Only reason they got two stars. read more

Home Depot has some of the best customer service around in my opinion. The Employees always go above & beyond to exceed expectations, whether on the phone or in person. They are consistently professional & pleasant. I was especially impressed by their follow-up. When i ordered a hard to find type of Rubber Tree plant which had to be back ordered the plant arrived in perfect condition in a lovely woven seagrass basket. It came with a 90 day warranty, & detailed instructions for care & transplanting. Over a month later the plant still seems strong & healthy. During the waiting period a store associate called to verify the order status and even gave me an opportunity to easily cancel if i chose to, which i didn't. They called again the day before delivery to confirm it was a good day & time for me, although no signature was required. Then soon after delivery they called to ensure it could be taken inside quickly. This is just one example of my positive experiences with Home Depot, always a step above the other home improvement stores of this size. read more

We bought a dishwasher in 2019 and bought their protection plan. We have had repair people out here multiple times (3 times alone this year!) Their customer service rep says they give money for lemons all the time and that it's acceptable to not have a working dishwasher for months. Every time I walk into Home Depot Castleton I know what to expect. I needed some paint so my wife and I went there to look. Did they have paint samples? Yes. Hundreds and hundreds of paint samples. We had an idea of what color we wanted. Once we found the samples we went to the paint counter. The employee behind the counter who greeted us was very friendly. Rex asked how could help. We showed him what paint samples we had picked out. He suggested taking home a few liquid samples. He gave us an idea to go home and paint a little bit of these samples on our wall. It was a great idea. This is the level of customer service that I have grown to expect at Home Depot Castleton. Knowledgeable employees who really care about their customers. I've had a horrible experience with this store. Got my garage door opener installed through them, communication was non-existent and took forever. Also had issues with water softener installation. Had gift cards so purchased over $1000 in blinds along with installation. Installation date is here with no installer to be found, and communication is absolutely horrific. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone, and they refuse to give any money back or right their wrongs. Richard in the blinds department who took our order was horrible, never returned our phone calls or knew what was going on, and couldn't ever wear his mask correctly. Do Not Buy Appliances from Home Depot! Bought a Frigidaire dishwasher from Home Depot less than 2 years ago. We also purchased their 5 year protection plan. The protection plan is worthless and fraudulent. We have had a repairman out to repair the control board 4 times. Under the protection plan, this situation qualifies the dishwasher as a lemon and requires a refund or replacement. However, the Home Depot Customer Services has given us nothing but the run around. We have been on the phone with customer service several times and they say a manager will call back within 24 hours. Never get a call back and what's worse is that each time the representative says, "no notes" of previous calls. We have each call recorded. I wish I could post them here. I'm not sure where we go from here. Small claims probably. It's a real shame that not only does Home Depot sell you a crap product, but on top of it takes you for more money by selling a fraudulent warranty. read more

I only give them two stars because they had everything in stock I needed. I needed two pieces of PVC but needed them cut to fit in my SUV. A young lady walked by asked if I needed help and asked pipe to be cut. She said she would find someone and send them to me. 20 minutes later no help so I left my cart with everything in it by the pipe and left. This must just be this store because I have been to both Noblesville and Greenfield and was asked several times if I needed help and I as assisted. My wife had same results back in November when buying a large Christmas tree or should I saying trying to buy. She also waited for help that never came. Every time I come to the Home Depot on this location on East 96th Street, I'm greeted by someone who points me in exactly the direction I need to go to get whatever is on my list on that day. If they're not too particularly busy, they'll even take a few minutes and walk back with me. I don't always need this level of service, but it sure is nice when I do and I appreciate it. Will never buy from them again, bought a washer and dryer and paid for installation so it could be done professionally and little I knew the installers installed the water lines wrong it took for a Samsung specialist to come to figure out the problem and to my surprise he said it happens a lot with Home Depot customers, called and complain and they won't do much because it's been over a month since I've purchased and didn't buy their warranty, Samsung technician refused to fix the problem because it was an installation mistake, stay away, what a joke. read more

Unfortunately after spending $35,000 there I found out how terrible their customer service is, specifically in the kitchen department. There have been too many issues to count, and now that my kitchen reno is paid for they suddenly stopped responding to me. I have emailed and called numerous times for help as I am missing items and have received incorrect items for my kitchen cabinets. Crickets. The only time I was actually able to talk with someone was when I physically went into the store to speak with a manager. The manager was helpful, however I again cannot get anyone to respond. After this transaction is over I will never be setting foot in there again. Unbelievable. If you care about COVID precautions go somewhere else. Most employees don't wear masks, or pull them down to talk to customers. No distancing of employees from customers. Pointless floor markings that are ignored or not adequately distanced or are illogical for actual flow. Fewer than half of customers wear masks, and few show any awareness of distancing. No disinfectant available for carts or self check out. Clearly no corporate support and no store leadership. I'm shopping at Lowe's instead and they've earned my loyalty by actually trying to protect my health. read more

Terrible customer service. Had an install scheduled for flooring and the installer notified Home Depot that the floor needed to be leveled and they needed to get the ok from me to continue. No one called and the installer left and went to Home Depot to pick up the leveling supplies. He waited three hours! I finally called Home Depot to see what was going on since I came home from work and nothing was done and all the could say was "we're sorry" we didn't call you. Really? The installers from Crew 2 and the customer service with them was great but I won't use HD ever again. Second time I've had a bad experience now so I'm done. read more

In spring 2017, my wife and I were moving into our first home and needed to purchase several standard appliances. We needed a laundry washer, a laundry dryer, and refrigerator. We worked with a guy named Brian (red-head I believe) in the appliance section. We had lots of questions for Brian and were uncertain what we wanted. Brian gave us lots of tips and suggestions for determining what we wanted. We left and some-time later (not same day), came back and decided on what we wanted. Brian was helpful in making sure we got the right appliances on our order and setup a delivery date for us. He was very funny and pleasant; he wasn't a typical pushy salesperson, which was very refreshing. He also wasn't apathetic to whether we bought or not. He was truly concerned with us getting the right items for us. I trusted Brian and since then, when I'm in the Fisher's Home Depot (E 96th Street) and walking past the appliance section, I look for him. I haven't seen him again since so I'm not sure he's still around but he was great. I'm glad he was there when we needed him. The only negative was not with Brian but with the contracted-delivery company Home Depot was (and maybe still does) using in spring 2017. I think the company was KinderCare or something like that. We dealt with them on two different deliveries (first delivery, they damaged one of the appliances so we had to have a second delivery date. They were rough, impatient, and over two hours late. We got our items delivered in pitch-black night. They rubbed up against walls (left marks), they complained and moaned about having to take the washer and dryer upstairs (where they also bumped up against both walls (also leaving marks)). One guy cut himself on handling our washer or dryer so I gave him a Band-Aid. I offered all the guys cold water and was very hospitable. When they left, I noticed large blood droplets on the door of my washing machine. Okay ... Yea I will likely never have appliances delivered from Home Depot again. Even though I have their credit card. It will likely go unused and be closed (due to inactivity). Big disappointment, considering how well Brian was. read more

I gave this place another shot. I wish I hadn't. I came in 10/2/15 around 5 p.m. looking for a window shade to cover a large arched window, and inquired about custom ordering blinds. The woman working in blinds was busy cutting blinds for another customer and said she could not help me until she was done, which was totally understandable. I patiently waited, looking at window film in the meanwhile. Another prospective customer also waited for help. Over twenty minutes later, I got sick of waiting and went up to the front, where two employees were standing near the entrance just talking to each other, and asked if they could help me. They refused, saying only the person working in blinds could. I told them I'd just leave and go to a different home improvement store, then. They didn't seem to care that they lost business. It makes no sense that all of these employees are standing around, and none of them are cross-trained to help out in other departments. I feel bad for myself, and I also feel bad for the employee working in blinds who could not get any help from her coworkers. No more chances for this poor excuse for a home improvement store. read more

Since becoming a recent home buyer, I've come here more in the past couple months (4x) than previously...which was never. I noticed it driving along I69 but never took the moment to figure out how to get over there without veering directly off the highway. Last visit was on a weekend afternoon, and I took note of four different individuals who asked if they could be of any assistance. Helpful, friendly staff. Oh, they have Special Buys along the aisles. This trip I bought some lightbulbs and an HDX hardware organizer. Now, I dunno how much these normally are but they seemed like a great deal. Perhaps I am their target consumer for these Special Buys. Keep 'em coming because I cannot turn down a good deal (even it's just a perceived one)! read more

We have had a horrible time buying appliances for Home Depot. No problem giving them money, but a ton of trouble with the delivery of products. The refrigerator was dented on BOTH attempts (the replacement was dented too, and it took 30 days to get it). Apparently, warranty replacement doesn't affect speed of delivery. Good luck getting a dishwasher delivered and installed. If it makes it on the truck, the delivery folks aren't qualified to install it! We've never had this problem with Lowes... read more

I've mentioned before that I'm super picky when it comes to hardware stores. I hit up either Lowes, Menards, or Home Depot at least twice a week. Unfortunately, I have to say that Home Depot is at the bottom of that list. Here are a few reasons why: 1. Ready to Assist Staff: Every time I come to this store, there are always employees available to assist, but they are simply standing around... This doesn't bother me too much that I have to initiate, but a shy person? Might be a little uncomfortable for them. 2. Pricing: For the general contracting items I purchase, Lowes and Menards seem to beat out Home Depot every time. The one very redeemable part about this Home Depot however, is that they have a GREAT kitchen cabinet design department. For multiple kitchen jobs with my company, the staff at this Home Depot has been exceptionally helpful! Always trying to help me find the best deals on cabinets, hardware, and cabinet materials. 3. Selections: This store has no where near as many material selections as Lowes or Menards. Menards beats out their lumber, drywall, and insulation. Lowes beats out their hardware, screws/nails, and plumbing. If they can up their game with some of these items, I would love to give a four star rating! read more

When you go to Home Depot in Fishers, this store is always clean and the staff is helpful. They could have a bigger hardware section (nuts, bolts, etc) but otherwise, this store is great! They have the biggest selection of Milwaukee electric power tools I've seen in Indianapolis. Gotta get Milwaukee, they're the best! read more

We have went to this Home Depot many Times!!! It is right by our house and they always provide the best service with or home improvement needs! Yesterday we picked up patio furniture from a friend and we rented one of their vans!!! It was only $19 for the first 75 min!!! That's amazing!!! We have rented a lawn roller from them too!!!! My favorite part about Home Depot is being able to rent things from them instead of spending a ton of money on buying it when you will only use it once! When we were painting our living room, I picked out a color swatch from a very expensive paint store and took it to them and they matched it perfectly!!! When purchasing a patio set, we wanted to add items that were only available online. They offered to order them online for us, and when the products arrived, they rolled them into our total purchase with the zero percent interest plan AND delivered all of the items at once - for free!
