The sprinkler pipe melted and I have to replace it uggghhh. Shoutout to Jon in Plumbing for being exceedingly kind and helpful!! He explained the parts that I need, how to use Teflon tape, and how to glue the pieces together with the blue glue. Home Depot had everything that I needed. PVC pipe (not cut to order, though, so I had to buy two precut pieces). I know NOTHING about plumbing, so I needed help. I am now equipped with pipe, elbows, and couplers galore. Yay! read more

This was one of the most unhelpful customer service experiences I've had at a Home Depot. I asked to use a shopping cart that only contained a couple of empty boxes and was told no, then told to walk out to the parking lot to get another cart instead of simply removing the boxes. Later, I asked an associate in a closed-off area if he could hand me three items that were directly next to him. He refused and told me I could wait 30 minutes until he was finished. The only thing HD is paid for is the products their customers buy. Everyone at HD should be aligned behind that goal. read more

This was one of the few Home Depot locations participating in the Mow Down Pollution promotion (an initiative where you can get $150 credit for the purchase of an electric mower after recycling your gas mower). I decided on this location because I figured being right next to Park Meadows they'd be most likely to be familiar with the program. Boy was I wrong. After standing in a very long line for about 20 minutes, the first rep I spoke with had no idea what this program was. Over the next 10 minutes I was subsequently passed from rep to rep until they found someone who knew about the program. The program instructions state that you can either purchase the new mower at the store or purchase online, but if purchasing online it must be through a customer service rep. Well, problem #2: this rep knew how to purchase in store but had no idea how to do it online. She apparently got some instructions but said "This is probably going to take like 30-40 minutes". Which was strange to me given that I already had the SKU for the model I wanted to purchase. Problem #3 - the whole reason I wanted to purchase online was to take advantage of free delivery so that I wouldn't have to find a vehicle large enough to put the mower in and haul it home on my own. The rep said the only option was delivery. I wasn't thrilled about that because I knew from viewing the website that there was a $35 fee, but agreed to this for the convenience. The rep quoted me $80! That was half the value of the voucher! At that point, I said to call the whole thing off and left. I ended up going to another participating location in Aurora that got me in and out in about 15 minutes total. read more

They make it impossible to connect with a person to make an appointment and when you do get appointment they have to order parts which they are not sure if they will fix the problem. Most of my visits to a home improvement store involve me finding the item on my own or hunting down and associate for help. Today was a much better experience. A knowledgeable associate was already on the aisle helping customers. He approached me, provided a better solution than the one I had in mind, and helped me save a few dollars. Normally I have a great experience at Home Depot but today a cashier name Avery decided that she didn't need to be polite and was so rude to us. I don't know if it's because my husband is Hispanic and she didn't care for Ethnicity-or if it's because we are elderly but she was blatantly rude acted totally unacceptable and then the girl in the next checkout named Caitlin decided she needed to get in the middle of it and honestly she was more rude than Avery.When we asked her for a manager she called the manager and then started crying to gain the managers sympathy. what a joke so if you see Cashier Avery or Caitlin run the other way very very prejudiced little girls. This company has truly lost a lot of values. We triple checked with the associate about supply of a dishwasher. Then it happens to be that a month later and nobody knows where it is. Zero stars. Ordered a dishwasher in early December and it was supposed to be delivered. Took off work and sat all day and then got an abrupt message that delivery couldn't be completed. Called the 800 number and they said truck had a flat tire and would be rescheduled for 2 days later. The delivery was supposed to be updated on that day but never did so I called in and the dishwasher is not on the truck. They rescheduled for after New Years. We decided to go through Home Depot professional services for a bathroom remodel. Home Depot advised us to have the new vanity installed prior to the flooring, so we did that. When the "flooring professionals" arrived, they refused to install the floor because the vanity was in. They also claimed there was mold and water damage, which was not accurate. Even though they didn't do any work, we had to pay them - through Home Depot - $150 for just showing up. When I spoke with Home Depot I told them that they should be responsible for that $150 because of their directions to us. Of course, they didn't think that so we were stuck with that cost. My caution to everyone is to not use the Home Depot professional services ever. Hire your own contractor and just purchase what you need at Home Depot. The contractors they work with are only interested in the money and not doing a good job. We did get our own contractor to finish up the bathroom remodel, but then it was delayed, leaving us without a working bathroom for over one week. read more

Purchased a Washer, Dryer and a Fridge all from Lone Tree Home Depot. The sales guy on the floor was helpful and got me a good deal. Delivery was hard to believe. Received a delivery date at time of purchase, and a text that day confimring it. I took the 4 hour window off work, and received no delivery, no text, no call, no email. I had to chase them down through customer service, and was told "it wasn't put on the truck". They said sorry, and rescheduled me for 2 days later. I was upset for the waste of my time and that nobody called me to let me know. Then I took off Wednesday, and guess what? no call, no text, no delivery. We purchased a $2500 fridge + 3-year service plan and expected better customer service from Home Depot. We were both disgusted and angered by the extreme lack of professional (and really, just human) courtesy AND lack of follow through from Home Depot. 1) In the Home Depot website AND in the order flow for buying the fridge, we saw copy that read they would "move your appliance from one room to another": Home depot implies in both areas that this service will not cost a fee. If you want your old appliance hauled away, it's $25. So: We opted NOT to pay $25 since we only wanted the old fridge moved to the garage. 2) The delivery personnel left our front door WIDE open as they moved the fridge in, and - AND - after they left our house. It was less than 20 degrees outside. They couldn't even close our front door. This shouldn't even require "training". It's just personal courtesy. 3) The delivery people did not move our old appliance to the garage. They said we did not pay $25. 4) The delivery people tried to sell us on a new water line saying "It's outdated"... to which we replied, it's brand new as of yesterday (the day before they arrived). In fact, we had to prove to them how new it actually was, and how it was installed. **INSANE** 5) I called Home Depot and spoke to 4 people, and two managers. Only the last manager, at the Lone Tree store, tried her BEST to get Home Depot to come out and honor a poorly worded advertising copy about "we will move your old appliance from one room to another, OR haul it away for $25" and send out a delivery crew to move our old appliance ot the garage. She was UNSUCCESSFUL. She was told Home depot (the physical store) was differently managed than the Homedepot.com site and she couldn't do anything. But she tried anyway. She called the HomeDepot.com people and they also denied her help for us. The implication for this: HomeDepot would rather lose a customer and take a loss -- for us returning the new fridge worth $2500 + service plan (*plus paying gas for a truck, the cost of delivery people's wages, and managing the cost of restocking a used fridge) -- than honor crappy worded advertising copy to serve a customer's need....so they could get $25 from that customer (us). We are returning a brand new fridge, taking our $2500 and going to buy the very same fridge from Lowe's...and pay $200 less for it there. read more

Awful experience! We have a TV mount already mounted to the wall of our rental so I just needed hardware for our size TV. I called Home Depot in Lone Tree and after being transferred and on hold for 10 minutes, I finally had to plead with the next guy who answered to help me. He specifically said they had the hardware for TV mounts so I drove with my 5 month old and woke her up to go into Home Depot only to speak to 4 additional employees who were of no help and some rather condescending. Needless to say they didnt have what I needed and if they did i'll never know. I do not recommend this location and it is no wonder why people turn to Amazon for their needs rather than bother with employees who could care less. read more

Although I have had good service here in the past, on the most recent visit I was reminded of why I typically go to Lowe's these days. It took an inordinately long time to find someone to help me locate what I needed. When I did, there was only one on the shelf (I needed three). An inventory check revealed 13 in stock, but the other 12 were nowhere to be found. A supervisor, when called to assist, basically shrugged and said the inventory must be wrong. They then told me that the other nearby Home Depot had 8 in stock. But, they did not have an answer to my inquiry as to "what if their inventory information is also incorrect"? I've always heard being a homeowner is a lot of work. Never did I ever realize just how much work it is, until this past weekend, when we closed on our home! Being that we already started some renovation projects, this location has been our go-to store to buy all materials and necessities alike! ++ HUGE store, featuring everything under the sun! (knife sets/copper mugs/and more!) ++ Beyond helpful staff! We ventured to the paint department and looked like a couple of lost puppies trying to navigate the extensive selection of whites and colors. A partner approached us, gave us the run down and offered great suggestions on paint hue and type. We ultimately decided on a "cooler" white to mix with our accent color and left happy! They also gave us helpful hints to buying kits rather than things individually and offered us free paint stir sticks rather than buying the 10 pack! ++ Depending on what you buy - pricing is on point. We opted for a 5 gallon bucket of paint, along with various tools to assist in our projects. ++ Although I hate signing up for credit cards, this store offers zero interest for the first 6 months - with additional off upon signing! It's best for smaller purchases that can be paid off quickly! ++ Delivery of materials! ++ 10% discount for veterans - which always helps! Stopped by to browse on a Friday afternoon. I've never really been a fan of the HD but they seem to be building my trust more and more. For years I could never find what I needed or get what I wanted from them. I have used this location several times because it's convenient to by office. They have ample parking but again, you can walk through the entire store and no one in an orange vest will usually make eye contact with you. I purchased a Wagner paint sprayer, took it home and discovered that it was used, not only had paint on the outside but dried paint on the inside which may effect its operation. Someone bought it, used it, didn't clean it properly then returned it for a refund and the store just put it back on the shelf. WORST experience of my life! Recently purchase a new washer and dryer from Home depot. Our sales person was knowledgeable, kind and attentive. We even purchased the 5 year protection plan. Here is where things went from bad to worse. 2 weeks later our new wash, dryer and pedestals arrived. They were supposed to be installed. After the installers left we fired up the new machines. The washer started shaking so violently that we had to turn it off. Then we noticed a small leak pooling up in the pedestal underneath. No worries right! After all we did purchase the protection plan. I promptly called, was informed that nothing could be done at the store level. I called Samsung directly. Left a VM detailing our problem. Was contacted 2 days later and was informed that someone would contact me to take a look. Today (2 weeks after we called for service) a man named ALEX showed up. Looked at the machine and determined that the pedestal was broken. I showed him the spot that was leaking and asked what could be done. He proceeded to get right in my face, told me he was not Home Depot and that I needed to sign his paper. I asked him to step out of my face. He got more agitated, told me to F Off. I let him know that if he didn't leave I would call the police. He promptly left. I called the store immediately and reported the incident to the manager. She told me she would look into things and get back to me. 30 minutes later I get a call from said manager. I was informed that the delivery service was claiming I called the man a racial slur- I have five daughters, my two best friends are African American and a Hispanic, I have NEVER called someone a artist slur!!! While I can be a big critic of Home Depot, the staff here really sets this place apart from a majority of them. I was in this store at least 10 times this week as I have been remodeling my home. I did seek out familiar faces each time arrived. One person in particular, Ernie, was EXTREMELY helpful in flooring and doors. If he didn't know the answer, he was quick to find someone who did. Even a few other staff were extremely friendly as I stumbled my way around like an aspiring contractor. Need to return anything? The staff are pros at that as well so you should have no issue if you purchased the wrong item. Self checkout is the way to go here as well, as I see less and less cashiers at these types of stores now. As far as flooring, I wasn't too impressed with their options. Also, if you want free carpet install, be prepared to wait about 5 weeks. These are just minor issues most people don't know until its too late in their shopping process. read more

My issue with this one is two fold: 1) they are doing massive construction in the parking lot and it is a shit show to get in and out and 2) they never have the items their website says are in stock. Countless times we go in and the web site will say something has 99 in stock and it is nowhere to be found. Serious issue with actually having stuff out. Being a new homeowner means I've made more trips to Home Depot in the last 5 months than in my entire lifetime up until then. I feel like we've been to every Home Depot between Wadsworth and I-25 and Hampden and 470, and this location is my favorite. The staff at this store is awesome-- they can answer basically any question, ranging from knowledgeable queries about electrical wiring to me bringing a picture of something in and asking them to find it for me (my home repair knowledge is sadly lacking). This store is laid out very well, and getting in and out is easy. The garden center is well stocked. Plus, one of their staff helped us unbox a lawnmower and fit it in a Honda Civic. I had a great experience, I just purchased my first condo on Friday and went into this visit blind. I knew what I needed to accomplish, but no idea how to get there. A few people I'd like to recognize: Patrick in Paint - Very helpful. He helped guide me through the steps in picking a color, his recommendation, what's popular right now and a special that Baer is having (which they never have) so we could get a better deal. He explained the Home Depot credit card to me and got me a line of credit at Home Depot to make my initial purchase yesterday. Sheri in Appliances - Sheri was incredibly helpful showing me a range and a dishwasher. Even though I wasn't purchasing yesterday, and she knew that, she was knowledgeable and helped get me the answers I needed for when I purchase! Alisa in wood works - Although short staffed and she was helping another couple. We went to another isle as it was taking a long time. After she finished with that customer, she came to find up and help us! Kudos! All introductions to department specialists and easy of finding the items I needed could not have happen without my long time & good friend, Steve Anderson. I wrote my last review for them 5 years ago, apparently. It's way overdue for an update. Their parking lot is bad enough as it was, but now they've completely ripped up half of it so it's impossible to get in and out. I think they might be building something in the parking lot, like we need that. Also the last several times we've come here we look up what we need online - which tells you exactly what aisle/row it's on - we get to the store and it's nowhere in sight. The first time was for a mower. We flagged someone down and they found it up on the very top shelf so they did the whole thing where they block off the aisle and bring out the heavy equipment to get it. This took about an hour. The next time we were looking for some pavers in the garden section. The spot was completely empty but online it said they had 100 of them. We flagged someone down and they looked up on the shelves again and wandered the whole are and finally told us they must be sold out. Even tho the app - again - said they had a ton of them. Really annoying, and even tho they're our closest I have a feeling we won't be back. read more

Original Post on 4/1/15: I've used these guys for several projects in which I hired their contractors. The first one was to pull up a carpet in a fireplace room that I had then put down stone floors. As soon as problems start to arise, Home Depot wanted to walk away and leave me with a carpet pulled up and no contractor, but they finally relented when the contractor came up with a reasonable fix then more money out of my pocket. That was back in 2011. I then used them to put in some doors in which that worked out very well, so I would give them 4 stars on that job, which was in the winter of 2013. Then I had them do a gutter replacement job in March of 2014 in which that disaster is still an ongoing trilogy. I have a tar and rock roof instead of a traditional shingle roof. The contracts came ripping and tearing the old gutters off, which meant pulling off the tar that sealed it between the gutters and galvanized steel trim. The result was leaking between the gutters and the house that splattered all over the front patio leaving ice in the winters and eventual water damage from the Spring/Summer rains. The contractor came out and blamed the roof and I had a roof inspector come out from the insurance company and he said the roof was fine and showed me their shottie work. I called Home Depot and was told this past month that someone would come out and fix it. To this guy's credit he got most of the leaks sealed, except for the one in front of the door. I called again and Home Depot said someone would come out and fix it again, but that has never happened. This run around has been going on since April of 2014 to today. Basically, the contractor has lost money on this deal, so he doesn't want to deal with it and Home Depot just keeps running interference for him. I have moved on to get the problem fixed on my own as these guys have no interest in getting it done. I had them do a bathroom remodel (March 2014) and that worked out pretty well, but the contractor has had to come out three times to reseal it, but to their credit at least they take my phone calls and fix the problems. I give them two stars only because if you go there to buy something for your home then they are pretty helpful. However, I give them 0 stars on most of their home improvement jobs and I wouldn't ever use them again on either of my homes. The next time I will look for someone else to do these jobs and I recommend that you go there to buy normal stuff, but avoid their home improvement contractors or get a headache. " Update: Ok, I find it interesting after I posted on April 1, 2015 that all of a sudden Home Depot found time for me. It was about the gutters and a guy came out on 4/28/15 to do nothing and says the roof is leaking. Well, the roof didn't start this problem until Home Depot's contractors starting walking all over it. Basically, I am stuck with fixing this roof myself as it becomes a blame game, but it didn't leak before these guys came stomping around. I talked to Ace Hardware and got some roofing tar patch and used it today on where I found the damage, so I am hoping this stops the leak in front of my door. If not, I will have to employ a roofer to fix their damage on my tar and rock roof. My original review holds. They get a two stars only because when you go in to buy something they are decent to deal (4 Stars) with, but I give their contractors a 0 for an overall 2 for the store (4+0=4/2=2). I would still look elsewhere for a contractor for your next project if I were you. read more
