Home Depot customers be very careful when you order any kind of appliance online! The return policy is very different from the store. Their advertisement States you have 30 days and extended 180 days due to COVID-19 is bullshit ! You really have to read the fine print ! It states 48 hour return and if it was damaged they take no responsibility and have you call the one 800 number which everyone gives you the runa round and never follows through no call back! CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION TAKE A DUMP WHEN TIMES ARE HARD AT THIS STORE Purchased an online order and went to the "curbside pickup" to pick it up. Went up, got checked in, and WAITED. I saw multiple cars pulling up, checking in, and leaving. I'd say about 6 or 7. Well it was only 15 minutes that passed, but still lol. So then I asked the associate, "Hey do you guys have any word on the order?" Associate: "Yeah uhhhhhhh. Sorry we're a bit behind." So I waited another 10 minutes and then the guy checking people in....just went inside. The curbside pickup had 8 cars in the parking spots. I called the curbside pickup number on the sign, I let the associate know my dilemma, and he said ok give me one second and puts me on hold. For 5 minutes. By that time 3 other cars that were also checked in waiting just took off. They were tired of it too. So 30 minutes total, no associate at the curbside pickup, and no package that I ordered, I said screw it and left. This store doesn't even deserve one star. We have never been there and had a good experience. We waited to get help with a large item. A guy nearby said he couldn't help but he'd get someone. I said we have been here waiting, he said they were probably on a break. Finally a guy came and lifted the heavy item onto out cart. At checkout the newer cashier had a problem and finally someone came and helped him. There were no wipes for the carts or people monitoring people not wearing face coverings. This place has always been this way, we are done! We own Home Depot stock but not for long! Lowe's has much better customer service! read more

I moved from Santa Cruz to Manteca nearly 2 years ago. I loved my Home Depot in Santa Cruz...... Manteca's Home Depot? Not so much. I have used the Curbside and Order Pick Up inside recently. OMG. Save yourself the aggravation. I waited 20 minutes for Curbside, I had to finally call them to bring my order out. "They never received confirmation that I was outside waiting for them". Today, I figured I would save myself the troubl and have my order ready inside for me to pick up. I received online notification that my order was ready to be picked up. I went to the store. NOBODY WAS AT THE ONLINE PICK UP ORDER DESK, first of all. So I went and got in the other line, which I should not have. I went back to the correct area and still nobody at the desk. So I asked where I should be going (like the Cashiers didn't see me going back and forth????) to pick up and finally someone offered to help me. They went and got my bag, brought it back and it was too small of a bag to be my complete order. I showed the cashier my order receipt I printed from home. She looked at it and said this was what she had and if I wanted the rest of the items, I could go get them myself. WHAT???????!!!!!!!!!!! She was serious! The items that were not in the bag were nowhere to be found. I checked SKU numbers, model numbers. Nothing on the shelf sku tags was matching what I had ordered online. I asked an older gentleman in the Paint Dept to help me find it and he didn't even know how to look on the SKU shelf tag to match it up to the model number on the packaging. So, back to the Order Pick Up desk, which now had an actual person sitting there. I showed her my order, she looked up the two items that I could not find. One of the items showed that 5 were in stock, but she "didn't know where the item was to put it in my bag", that it had probably been removed from the shelf. The other item, Model # HDXGRFB1 Store SKU # 1005077088 doesn't even have a SKU tag on the shelf for it. If that is the case, then why is the item being shown as available to purchase? Remove it from that store's inventory list. Same with Model # 24301PGP-F-DA Store SKU # 1000541649 that shows online that there are 5 in stock, but whoever picked my order decided to not go a little further to find where those 5 in stock items were located? I am an elderly disabled person, so the last thing I want (or should) to do is walk up and down aisles looking for items that are not even there. Since Staff seems to not really care about the type of Customer Service they are providing (I'm sure it's because they're understaffed and just are barely managing with the lack of help), it's time to start looking around for a new hardware store to shop at. I cancelled my order and left the items with the person who was working at the Order Pick Up Desk. I expect to see the reversal of charges promptly on Monday or I will be adding an update to my yelp review about how my cancelled order wasn't handled correctly. read more

Made an order online for some paving steps. 600+ value. My husband decided he didn't want to do this home project now so I called to cancel the order. Took over 40 minutes for an associate to come on line. Associate said he would have to contact the store to cancel and then do reimbursement process please stay on line he would come back, I said thank you, I waited another 20 minutes. Got disconnected. Tried calling back waited 40+ minutes AGAIN finally gave up. I called back a day later as I checked my order it showed zero which meant it got cancelled. However my reimbursement wasn't showing. Waited an hour this time really nice young man helped me. He could see the cancellation of the order but he said the other associate did not complete the reimbursement portion of the transaction. Disappointed, my mom and dad purchased all new appliances and paid for install. The installers are currently at their home and didn't come with the right materials earlier in the day so this is their second time. The installer told my mom "you know you can pay a plumber to finish the job" so unprofessional. Why on earth would she pay for install and then pay again to have a plumber come and do the job? It makes no sense! The installer then told my parents it would be an additional $80 because the store didn't sell them everything they needed. My mom requested that he run the dishwasher before leaving and he said "oh don't worry it's fine" ridiculous. They both took off work to get this install and it has turned into a headache! read more

When I went to go buy blinds the worker named Maria was rude when I asked for help to find an item.

This store has been reorganized and is now a total mess. Narrow aisles, parked forklifts clogging aisles to the contractor checkout and a bad attempt to put more stock on the aisles by using shelves that start at over 8' above the floor. To that add people parking in the loading zone and blocking the exit for those of us with long lumber on carts while management does nothing but let employees block aisles where people are trying to find things so they can move stock around with their forklifts. Overall one of the worst Home Depot's I have ever shopped in. Suddenly this is the last place I will go to buy building materials. read more

So apparently "More Saving. More Doing." applies to certain employees of Home Depot, not the public consumers. Eric (in the wood shop department) found he was Saving himself some time and effort by not Doing normal customer service techniques. We understand that stores get busy. We understand that you probably did not get into this line of work because it was your dream job, but maybe face the realization that you chose to work here and part of your job description is "Customer Service." My husband and I went to this store for one thing. We only came all the way out here because the other Home Depot in Tracy was out of stock and had an aisle closed for no apparent reason (but that will be another review). We needed to know if this item was in stock and no employees were around the area to help us.... my husband happened to see an employee (later found out to be "Eric") on the other side of a blocked off aisle, who wasn't looking incredibly busy, and asked him if anyone was available to help us.... Eric's nonchalant reply, "it'll be a minute". HA! Not, "sorry for the wait but let me try to find someone for you". Nothing. Just a shrug off attitude and reply. After SEVERAL minutes, Eric must have forgotten about us waiting because he never came back to help us or sent anyone else over to help us. In the meantime, we spotted another lady, Jackie, who was helping another customer and asked if she could call someone over to help us. She looked around for someone for us and then returned. She explained it wasn't her department but she would try to help us. We told Jackie what we needed and she went to grab a ladder to get inventory down for us. Jackie then went out of her way to find a computer to verify the product that we wanted, wrote down the inventory number and went back to the aisle again, up the ladder to find the item. The entire time, she was gracious and kind and never treated us like we were wasting her time at all. Home Depot management, please take note that Jackie should be training other employees on proper etiquette in handling customers. If we hadn't found her, we would have walked out of yet ANOTHER Home Depot location empty handed. Getting consumers to walk out without a purchase should NOT be the power of the Home Depot.... read more

Ordered something online so I could pick it up because trying to find anyone to help you in the store is a joke. You can normally find a group of employees in the back talking but for some reason not if them can help you and they will call someone to meet you that never comes. Anyway, went to pick up my order on a Saturday morning at 11am. There were about 10 people waiting in line because the pickup and return counter is the same. They had 2 employee's working and I guess they thought carrying on long conversations with people once they finally got up front would somehow make them happy. After 45 min of waiting in line I was about to leave and cancel my order when they finally brought up a 3rd cashier. I'll try Lowe's in the future hopefully they are better read more

Ordered high end refrigerator in May, 2021. Delivery horrors followed with failure to fix cosmetic issues. Several calls to HM and manufacturer with zero results. Finally, attempted to call Steve, the store manager and Tanya, supervisor, stated a new refrigerator would be ordered. A few days b4 the holidays and have not received confirmation. The service abs follow-up are not to be desired. Doing a full second home remodeling and I've stalled all purchases at Home Depot and seeking to purchase appliances elsewhere. I had The worst experience with getting an appliance , No problem purchasing it and taking my money, but when it comes to delivery they expect you to be home all day , not everyone can afford to take all day off to wait for delivery. It was scheduled for delivery. I specifically said to give me a PM window. They came here earlier and I was not here after making arrangements. I spoke to a supervisor to reschedule. and notated the account for next Friday in the p.m. window because I had a procedure that morning and I received a text the same morning that they will be here between in AM 1030 and 230 again the time that I couldn't be here I called amd spoke to año supervisor and said there's nothing she can do, When I asked her what is the purpose of talking to supervisor and notating my account she said it's not guaranteed then I called the store manager and again same thing they want to reschedule it for another week when I was out two weeks already without a fridge. There are times when you go to a Home Depot and you can be irritated by all the people asking to help you. This was not one of those times. I went to find a microwave oven and vacuum cleaner. I finally found the appliances in the back of the store. They didn't have any countertop, standalone microwave ovens. Odd, that. I started to ask someone, and they looked so irritated, and didn't bother. In fact, everyone in the area looked the same way. They didn't ask to help. They didn't say hi. They just seemed irritated. I looked further around the store, and found some fans and home filters. I finally asked someone and she told me to go to that same area where I had been, but look against the back wall. I returned and found them. Cheap, unreliable crap, or extensive, huge models. I went to look for the vacuum cleaners in the same general area. I found them, and then, someone asked to help me. Just after that, two of the irritable people from earlier had a machine they were moving, I guess to pull things down from the high shelves. No "Excuse us" or anything was offered. I decided on a vacuum cleaner and took it to the front. They only had self checkout available, but they have to have an attendant anyway. She scanned the vacuum cleaner, and I paid, no problem. I have to say that my experience with Home Depot has been pretty good overall, but this store makes me wonder why they're in business here. Maybe, I should have gone to Orchard Supply Hardware or gone to Modesto for everything I needed today. read more

Here's where I'm at. I went into Home Depot, spoke with the guy in flooring about 20 days ago. I could tell he recognized my voice from my numerous amount of phone calls to get in the schedule. I told him what my situation was as if he didn't know and that I was there to schedule an install date. He got on the phone with the install team. While he was waiting I ask if I could just take the wood and hire my own installer and he said yes I could do that but he wanted to speak with his manager first. I left and before I got to my car the install company contacted me to set up an appointment for a month later. Now I don't know why the guy at the flooring station couldn't have done this weeks ago I don't know. I'm scheduled for 9/18. We will see how it goes if it goes...poor service to have your customer travel to the store to get some type of update on a project that's taken so long. read more

I purchased a security door over a week ago. I was promised a call the next day to set an appointment for installation. Gave it a few extra days and went in to check. Tried calling numerous times without any answer. Was promised a call last week. Still no call. Managed to get Art on the phone. Who "helped" me with my door. He again promised a call the next business day, which would have been yesterday. Home Depot is holding on to my money without even a date for install. Rudest staff of any Home Depot I have visited. Even the customer service people would rather visit each other then help customers. When they do speak they act annoyed that they have to help you. Staff avoids eye contact. This has happened at more than one visit. One time they even saw me use their ladder to get something off shelf and just walked away. I would rather drive to Lowes in Stockton. They are at least much friendlier and helpful. read more

After the previous problems with washer and drier, I encountered bigger problems with dishwasher. I bought the dish washer on July 21st/2017 and still hadn't got it on Oct 7th, 2017. You really don't know how annoying to get them deliver the dishwasher. The excuses they make to not deliver include, but not limited, :1. we do not have it stock, and you will get the out of stock notice on the scheduled date; 2 your faucet is leaking, so we can't install; 3 We have another model in stock, and the inventory house ran out of stock of this model; 4, the warehouse couldn't find your delivery address; 5, your valve is not working, you need to get a new valve; 6, we are not plumber, so can't install the valve as they promised last week. After more than 10 weeks of struggle, a guy came over and installed the so called dishwasher in half and hour and confirmed that so called leaking valve was working perfectly fine. Each weekend, I was just waiting for the order and got short noticed on something wrong, and they could not do the installation. I finally got all charges disputed with the credit card company and just want to warn every one. Do not buy from this home depot. I used to buy from City of Industry home depot, and their appliance service is like a magic. read more

I do not like Home Depot. Not at all. Their service is nothing near as good as Lowe's. Case in point. It's 2:15 pm on a weekday afternoon, so it isn't all that busy. We try to buy a couple of items that won't scan. Some sourpuss sales lady comes over to try to help us. She works on the issue for 10 minutes. No luck. She calls the garden department and tells us someone from garden will be over to help us out. Sourpuss disappears and we wait for another 10 minutes. Nobody shows up to help us. So we decide to walk all the way down to the other end of the store to the garden department ourselves to get help. The sales person there was able to help us. read more
