Went in there looking for a copper fitting, 5 employees were in the isle where I was looking, they looked busy so I did not want to bother them, when I got close to them, they automatically tried to ignore me. I went to a different isle to ask for help, the man that was stocking some numbers acted like I was bothering him but did radio for help, after 15 min of nobody showing up and the employees that were there not helping me I left. After receiving measurements and a quote for seven blinds that were on sale and installation quote, the next day I was called and HD told me the quote was wrong. The new quote for all the above was TWICE the original quote. It seems the original employee (who was very helpful by the way), didn't realize there were different prices for purchasing different amounts (?). I was told by HD that they "cannot help it that an employee gave me the wrong info." All of this took place over 3 days. This Home Depot is convenient and not far from the house, it's also located in a shopping center next to Marshalls, Chickfila, and PetSmart so after dropping off the pup for a grooming we stop by The Depot for items needed for the house. 4am the upstairs smoke alarm starts beeping due to needing a new battery, with vaulted ceilings there was no way we could reach it so the venture over to The Depot was a must. We purchased a $200 ladder for only $99.00 with our membership and absolutely love it! The only downfall with this location is that it's probably easier finding the winning numbers to a lottery ticket then it is to find someone to help or assist you. read more

I chose this Home Depot location as they had the soil and granular I needed in stock. I'm a Lowes girl but, sadly, they do not carry items. I was in the store for over 30mins as both items were hard to find. No one asked if I needed help and crossed paths with at least 8 workers. The soil was outside near register and granular nowhere to be found. I finally asked an employee for help locating granular as they had aisle 56 completely blocked off. He asked another employee and she simply stated granular would be in section behind them while opening gate for me to look again. I found tag for granular but no product. Store showed over 200 bags available but they actually never received the order and didn't bother to update the inventory. Do not buy your flowers here, I was a loyal customer who buys my flowers and plants here religiously every season I'm In There but not NO MORE! I took my lemon tree along with several beautiful plants I bought during the summer and this year Texas had its crazy weather and freezes so all my plants died, hopeful, I brought my plants back because of their policy. If your plants do not last a year, you can bring them back to exchange them out. I bought them cash. I no longer had my receipt because I had no plans on returning them, but all my plant still had the tags and were in the original plant boxes with the SKU number on them. I've done this before and got in store credit so that I could re-purchase my plants with no receipt ,To my surprise when I came back this time, I was confronted with one of the managers on the floor and told that this is not their policy and they cannot do this. I showed her the receipt from my last exchange and how the manager helped me then and she would not have it she denied me and I had to leave with my dead plants. Home Depot you suck you don't value your customers even though I didn't have my receipt, It was very clear that the plants were bought from your store because they still had the tags and everything on them. Customer service is rude. Instead of helping people understand your policy. They just give attitude do better. You just lost a really good customer. Good luck to anybody else who has the same problem. I wouldn't have left any star for review but yelp made me have to put at least one star, in my opinion, they don't even deserve that over $400 down the drain! I walked into the store on the verge of tears, and walked out, completely satisfied, and laughing. They made a bad experience into an east fix. After purchasing a gas stove and a washer had them install it the technicians which I believe were just handyman wired the oven to the microwave for the clock therefore blowing the breakers out I had to call the electrician and he said that the wiring was done wrong and it could've caught the house on fire and recommended not using the microwave since it might be fried and be dangerous. I have contacted Home Depot and they refuse to do anything about it. I will not be shopping there anymore, I will go to Lowe's or somewhere where somebody stands behind their workmanship so I canceled my order for my new refrigerator there and my freezer. read more

The incompetent leadership at this store is astonishing. I purchased a grill and paid for next day delivery. They called me the same night I purchased it and told me their assembly guy was out and wanted to deliver it Saturday morning. They ended up delivering the outdoor floor model with a broken handle. I called to complain and tell them to come pick it back up.-They transferred me to a manager and she offered 50% refund. That was in early September and I have spent around 6 hours total trying to get my refund. On November 2nd, the service Manager Kelly begged for the opportunity to fix it. He asked until 7 November to get it fixed. Never received a call back. I called him today and told him to come pick it up, it hasnt been used and still not credited. I expect a full refund. Still within their 90 day return policy. Lost total faith in the management of this store to handle any issues that may come up! Stay clear! Buyer beware! read more

Uggghhhhhh. So I'm not a huge home depot fan, and the customer service here is so hit or miss. I highly highly highly recommend going to the Lowes on the other side of 380 if you can. My first experience here was being blatantly ignored by the guy working in paint and then having him smart off to my husband when my husband asked him if he would help us. That ended with us talking to the manager who literally asked my husband "What do you want me to do about it?". Trust me, just avoid them. The second time I went I called ahead because everyone was out of firewood and the customer service person told me they had it, and confirmed they had the starter logs as well, which I appreciated. However, when I actually arrived I asked the "greeter" and she said she didn't know if they had any, and pointed to the other end of the store. After wandering aimlessly for a while, someone finally showed me where the firewood was, stacked in a tiny pile by the door because they were also almost out. They apparently have a large inventory, but that might be because so many people have been turned off by their level of service. Make them a last resort for sure! read more

The customer service at this location is not good. Anytime I have a question I have to spend 5 minutes trying to seek out an associate. When I finally get an associate they're usually only able to pass me off to someone else. Today was my last straw with this place. I came in to buy some plywood. I needed 3 sheets cut in half. I found an associate and they said they called for help. 15 min later I'm still waiting. I left and will be going to Lowe's across the street from now on. Update, within 2 minutes of grabbing the plywood at Lowe's I had someone there to help cut it in half. read more

First off I do not live in Mckinney I work out here or I would never go to this Home Depo. The crowds, the parking lot every time I have been in here... fiasco. However I needed these 1" clay pots. Online Home Depo sucks because it says all stores have 0 for pick up in stock. But there is an option to text for help. Mind you at this point online Im on the site near my home thinking Im going to get help from that store. Nope its virtual who eventually lets me know they have them in Mckinney and I can order online?? So I place my order. Figuring 11 small pots will be ready after work ill get them and go home. Nope. I drop by the Home Depo near my house they have 50+ so I go ahead and get 11. Good thing I did. I pick my order up from Mckinney and they gave me 7. And 3 are badly cracked not worth having. And NOT WORTH GOING INSIDE THAT STORE WAITING IN LINE TO RETURN THEM. Thats bad. Simply not worth it. You actually weigh that out and take the loss. I wouldnt have left a review except... whoever filled that order half ass works. They saw that those pots were not worth selling to someone.. but the put them in the bag any way. They do this day in and day out. Some complain some dont... some items he/she cant find they just skip and dont put in the order. But they still have a job. Still get praised by the boss. All other team members work twice as hard to cover their slack. For two years or more we have worked w this same type of individual. Asleep at the wheel. He doesnt care if the food in his dept is expired...if his orders are filled correctly or things he puts out in the store are in correct place. So thats why every its so aggravating when something like this 11 small clay pots. Yes they refunded my money for ones they didnt have . Who wants broken chipped cracked pots though. I ordered a tool chest and accessories for Christmas on Dec 4. Scheduled delivery for Dec 12. They cancelled that. Had to reschedule for Dec 19. Now I'm getting an email stating the delivery was cancelled again for their reasoning. I called CS was in hold for 21 mins no results. Called again I got transferred to NEW YORK. I called the store the store TWICE and it just rang and rang for 5-6 mins with no answer. Poor, poor service and transferring system. I still don't have my tool just. Had a washer delivered recently. It's missing the packing bolts and covers where the packing bolts go when not in place. The installers did not leave either. Home Depot is telling me it's a samsung issue. It's not. Got tired if arguing. I used the tike to cancel my refrigerator and oven orders. Also cancelled all the flooring work as well, over $10k. The guys in the tool rental area are amazing, great customer service, helpful and fantastic attitudes. I came across an employee in the lumber section who was also great (didn't catch his name), he really made me feel like a valued customer and even walked me to the exact item I was needing. Let's start with this isn't just a small parts order it's a 5000.00 order. trip one - 3 hours of wait time for a pick up order that was supposed to be available curbside. - 2 of my items of 6 were picked up on this trip. trip 2 - arrive at store to again wait for 1 hour to receive only 1 more items of the 6. trip3 - arrive to only be told I didn't have anything to pick up that the order was completed. trip 4 -after a 45 minute conversation with a service rep by phone they fixed the order and reordered the missing 2 items. trip 5 - picked up 2 of the 3 items one still not received. again after talking with Jason a store manager for 20 minutes to resolve the order he informed me the item would be credited and he reordered cabinet- trip 6 - I have been here now for 2 hours problem still not resolved. I was given excuses, asked to pay for the item before it arrived for the 3rd time after they have had to refund it on e already, given absolutely no apologies for the waste of time. Only left to leave once again with out the remaining item. during this visit I have been assisted by the following people. Jason - thanks for sticking it out and doing everything possible to resolve the issue. Ultimately we still couldn't get it resolved. Gabe the store manager Lear's start with your the worst excuse for a store manager I have ever encountered. You have me every excuse on why it's not your problem. I informed you that your store is lacking in customer service and the time I have dealt with the people in your store and not homedepot.com. All I received was another excuse and then at that point you walked away from helping me resolve the issue. I asked to talk to your superior and you told me his name and would not provide a contact number because he's on vacation as if I can't leave a voice mail and he return my call at a later date. as we stood there for 2 hours I seen you do absolutely nothing but walk around with another employee and then proceeded to the outside of the store to gal with more people vs. resolving a serious problem. I've been shopping here for about 8 years. I've never had a problem. About 60% (total guess but seems about right) of the employees will ask if you need help finding something. Only on a rare occasion have I had someone just point where I can find what I need, usually they'll walk me over to it or give me the exact description of the area. This week I wanted something they are out of and the two guys helping looked up the other stores and called to be sure what the computer shows was accurate. He had a little trouble finding a preson in the deptartment I needed at the other store because it was almost closing time but he made sure I had the phone number to 2 stores that the computer showed had what I wanted. read more

As a home owner they will go above and beyond for their customers.
