Very disappointed with wood chipper rental and customer service I rented a 4-inch wood chipper from Home Depot, and it turned out to be a complete waste of money. The machine would turn on, but it wouldn't cut any branches. It simply didn't work at all. I returned it the next day and explained the issue, and even after they tested it and saw for themselves that it wasn't working, they still refused to give me a full refund. Instead, they only offered 25% off and still charged me $114 for a tool that was unusable. I expect rental equipment to be in proper working condition, and this experience was really disappointing. Based on this, I wouldn't recommend renting tools from them. read more

Kristina at the return area is the best. You can tell from my previous reviews that I spend a lot of time here with the Mr. Tonight was no exception. Trying to replace a shower nozzle and we had to return a part then we had to come back because we left a part that we needed on the one we returned and through it all Kristina and I laughed and joked. If you go to this placed and you being waiting for a while and they know you are there waiting to be help. They will go to the next person that just got there instead. When you got mad about it, they will call the manager and complain I am rode and yelling. I have the right to yell cause she wants you to wait more. And there manager Juan Navarro trying to say that she don't know that I was waiting. But she acknowledged me and told me wait a second. Is this you train your manager to accept the way there employees threat the customers. You have to trained that manager that before judging or assuming that the customer fault, he should look closely. He never ask her what happened. Went straight to me and start telling me or basically accusing me already. They need to trained them. read more

We are visiting from out of town staying with our son. He wanted to buy Sheetrock and an exterior door for his garage here. We also needed to rent one of their vehicles to haul items as we don't have a pickup or large vehicle. When we went to the rental desk, we were told all vehicles were rented out until the next day. Fortunately, a lady behind him was returning a HD van. Needless to say, it was a blessing in disguise! I am very impressed with their garden center outdoor plant section. Plants were arranged very nicely and neat. They had nice a variety of indoor plants inside the store. read more

Inept and under staffed Beware especially if you have any on staff on the hour with you Today I had experienced a store so under staffed and a few employees that had no idea how to do there job. I just bought a place so close, I need appliances and so much more but after today in The incredibly screwed up carpet department with fail after fail after fail, there is NO WAY I WILL EVER STEP FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN. STEER CLEAR!!! 20 minutes plus in line to check out, go ahead if that's ok. but when they get it wrong and then send you back to customer service to try and fix... an hour latter! I was recently in the Home Depot located in Moreno Valley on Pigeon Pass/Ironwood Avenue. I was helped by two Beautiful, knowlegable and very customer service oriented young ladies, Jessica and Genesis. I asked for their help with re-keying 2 door locks and they both knew what to do. They both took care of my request and actually gave me a discount on both locks. They were gracious, understanding, patient and willing to help. KUDOS TO BOTH Genesis and Jessica. Really horrible customer service (however there was a guy named Blake who was awesome). They have self check out and has turned into a manned manual checkout which is slower than before. In addition there are all these employees around the area and no one seems enthusiastic about serving anyone when they clearly could. I had been waiting for 20 mins for someone to assist me. They have many helping with the check out lines but to get assistance in the isle for a product no one is available. So today I stopped in but not for plants. I came in for some salt due to my water filter running low. I asked three people if they knew where it was one thought they knew the other also thought they knew. Until I ran into Solome not only was she super friendly and looking amazing if I made add with all due respect. She walked me over to the correct spot and made me feel welcomed. Last experience I had here was with the manager and it was a horrible one. So I'm glad teammates like Solome can help change my opinion about this place due to my last experience. They use to have self checkout and it was much quicker just get my things and go. Now they have cashiers here who have to scan your stuff and since Home Depot is to cheap to hire people the lines get crowded because they don't hire enough people to deal with customers. Also when looking at appliances the time it takes to deliver it sucks. Two weeks or more for a simple delivery that other places such as lowes can do in 3 days or less. They have appliances literally on display but it takes two weeks to get it delivered? Why would i wait 2 weeks when i need it delivered now. Save your time and money because even with time it takes an hour or more just to get help. This store is very ugly to. read more

It seems that the quality of some workers here has gone hill over the last couple of years. Examples: I was lookin for something garage door related last year and I "ll be damned if all those who did not walk away or play with their phone would actually try to help me instead of saying it's over there pointing to an isle on other side of store.So now I go in a couple of days ago to get 4 house keys and 1 master lock key. The older man making keys is not in a good mood and will not smile or even look me in the eye(rude as hell!) I ask him. He hurries what he's doing and I ask how much each key? He say $3 for house keys and little more for Master.I find they were about .49 more each and I get home none of the keys fit,I had to file each one myself. Eligible participants receive a $400 maximum annual discount which resets each calendar year." I think that's a sad time when HD puts a cap on a military discount in your stores. 10% discount but to a certain limit now? Come On Brandon! That made me switch to Lowes. Let me know when you guys lift your HD limit on veterans that served your freedom for 110%! To put a limit expense on a veteran after they served you 110% and now you are giving them a limit amount of 10% back only on $400 a year! Especially this 100% permanently disabled veteran on a VA disability fixed income. This is a slap in the face and a kick to the twins of all that served. Shame on you HD! If I ever was invited to re-enlist I would only give 10% of my effort on my first 400 days of service and then do nothing after that because that is how HD is treating their vets! I come here because it's the closest one when I need some thing quick. I don't know why I keep coming here because I never get any help. When I come to get a simple key made, I have to plan to be here an hour or two because I can never get any help at the key station. a few times I had to call the store while I was inside of it just to get somebody's attention and stay with them on the phone until somebody actually showed up. Nobody knows anything in the store they need to hire people with knowledge. This is the 3rd time and problem I had it this store. 1 st time : different sales people walked away from me when asking them a question. 2nd time went in for a security part for garage. They no it only did not have it and made me feel dumb for not going on line to get it. 3rd and last time here; I needed just less than a bag of marble chips for a fill in land scape job and the sarcastic guy in the garden center says they don't sell the bags with holes because customers make the holes(implying that I made the holes. I told him their cameras would catch that and he laughed at my expense in front of other customers. I've given this place 5 stars because of Nate the manager and Frank, Allyson, Daisy, Lilly, Maria and Christina. I have had a lot of issues with inept members of staff at this place BUT the fact that Nate and his service team take accountability and responsibility to make things right is valuable. Unfortunately you get what you pay for when hiring people straight of school. Their lack of going beyond the minimum expectations are non existent. Nate and the fore-mentioned members of staff are cut from a different mould. Does anyone from leadership periodically walk the floor and ensure isles are clear? And cleanliness...what is going on? I went to HD today (6/26/23) and after a few minutes I wanted to run out. Why you ask? Because in the not so distant future, you won't be able to tell if homeless are living inside the HD on Perris in Moreno Valley. Excess Merchandise placement is atrocious. Who decided to place pallets of goods on the floor blocking traffic? And worse than that is how management allows employees to completely block isles with latter/stairs, and boxes. I took note from isle 1 thru 6 where almost all were blocked off entirely...not with gates I may add. But with merchandise. One isle near the barbecue pits had a pallet of goods completely blocking the isle. Please note that all of the isles I mentioned had no staff working in them. That's right. Potentially dangerous clutter everywhere. What breaks my heart here is that despite my stellar review, I don't think anyone cares. HD hired who they wanted to manage the place and I'm sure they'll just ride it out. I'm just here to ask HD leadership to care. Terminate the current Manager/s immediately! Fire his boss too. This is a total failure and HD management is to blame. I'll be shopping at Lowe's for the next six months and happily paying higher prices. I'll go back to my favorite HD in about 6 months to see if there's been any improvement. Im not optimistic. read more

However, if you need assistance of ANY kind, be prepared to wait for upwards of 45 minutes in one spot so that an associate can unlock an item or begrudgingly point you in the wrong direction. read more

Dangerous and non-performing. Several customers in the store were not wearing masks, endangering themselves, the employees, and other customers. The store did nothing to make these inconsiderate violators obey the rules. Additionally, the store failed to provide me with an employee to help me load my car with heavy products that I had just bought. Later, their installation people failed to call me for an installation job. read more

The staff that I encountered here was not helpful whatsoever and rude. I was trying on deciding what length hose to buy and asked one of the staff members (who spoke perfect English) if he can roughly show me how long 25ft would be. He replied, "the length is on the label" which I replied, "I get that, but can you visually kind of show me how long it would look like" and I used pointed on the floor "like about here to there or can you maybe show me on a tape measurement?" and he said "it says 25ft on the label." I figured he was pretty useless so I said thank you and he walked off. I later flagged down another worker and asked him if he could kind of show me how long 25ft would look like. He was friendly, but replied, "Sheesh, I'm not sure, let me ask," and they he flagged down the same worker who I asked for help before. He said sternly, "I already told you that it says 25ft on the label!" It wasn't until a nearby customer listening to our conversation stepped in and said, "oh this is about 25ft" and paced himself from me which was all I wanted to see. Other than that incident, I've talked to 2 other staff who didn't seem knowledgeable about where things are in the store. For example, I would ask where the Gorilla Glue would be and they would send me to an aisle that's 3 aisles away from the actual section. read more
