Made my way out here to only find the princess didn't match the website. I sone to an associate, Linda, who indicated that if it's an online sale, they won't honor it, but the site didn't specify that. She looked on their store website and it also was showingfull price. I went on my phone went through their website and confirmed a far less expensive price. Linda contacted manager and they said that they were not going to honor the sale price. Linda then reach out to their DM and recieved the same response. Upset and frustrated Linda asked me to hold on and she spoke to the manager once more and convinced him/her to honor the price because all the tine I took to research and drive my way out there!!! She is an amazing associate!!! She was friendly and went up to bat for me. Most associates would not have gone to even the first step. So a big THANK YOU to Linda!!! I live closer to the Home Depot off of Vista Way but I drive an extra 15 minutes to go to this Home Depot. The people are soooo much more professional and willing to help. Ryan the manager is awesome, April the flooring lady is awesome and Kelly in the counter top department is amazing! She answered every single question we had about the Quartz. Christina and Carol who work in the paint department are also amazing! They came out to our house to help us pick the right type of paint for our project. The last time I was at the Home Depot on Vista Way the manager said there was no way he could look up my account. I had to tell him how to do it by entering my SS # on the keypad. At that point he said oh yeah I guess I could do it that way. Was he just being lazy? I asked the lady who worked in the flooring department a question and she told me to look it up on the Home Depot website. I have been using curbside pick up at this location a numerous amount of times since the pandemic. Each order has been fulfilled quickly, pick up is accurate and fast service. Sometimes if I can't load the check in on the app, I call the store and customer service picks up quickly to assist with curbside! I highly recommend this location. read more

I am giving 5 stars because of the great assistance received at the time of this very visit. HD team member, Michelle helped me search for the items I had listed for a project. I'm sure I could have found everything on my own, but 2 hours later! I had no time to spare so with Michelle's help I had all that I needed within 20 min which included her assistance in the cutting of ties I needed. I also had great help with another team member, which name I cannot recall. He helped me look for items for the same project. We couldn't find exactly what I needed but he pointed out another option which I went with in the end. He patiently cut the items to the size of the instructions. To me these guys did the hard work! A Big Shout out to Felix in Tool Rental, and Mary Ann in returns. Both team members are hard working, friendly, courteous Home Depot Team members that go above and beyond to help the customer. Felix was able to note on my receipt that I had paid with my HD Credit card which entitles a 1 year exchange or return policy for the defective pressure washer that was purchased. If it were not for Felix I would not been able to get my issue resolved. To top that, the year return window was going to end in a couple of days. I barely made it and a Big Thanks to Felix for his assistance. I then went over to see Mary Ann who helped me with the actual credit of my defective pressure washer and I in turn bought the next model up! I bought a Ridgid Compressor + 3 tool nailing kit from the Home Depot in Carlsbad. It was open box and the previous purchaser was dishonest and took a few things from it before returning it back for a refund (insert name-calling here). Well the Carlsbad Home Depot took care of me wonderfully and I left a 5-star review for them but also want to leave a 5-star for this Home Depot in Oceanside since they assisted in getting me replacement parts (in particular the Ridgid finishing nailer which had an issue with the air pressure wheel. I got such great help and support and a great working replacement, and support from lots of people within the store. Everywhere you look (as in all Home Depot stores) there are people all around helping customers or looking for customers to help and I found them all experienced and knowledgeable about all kinds of home projects. My project was a great success!! (re-attaching the faceplate for my ceiling-length pantry cabinet in my kitchen, without having to removing anything except the two doors and without having to re-glue). All I had to do was nail a finishing nail top and bottom then brad nails in between to double-secure the connection. The faceplate isn't going anywhere and I'm sure will last another 25 years. I normally like this store. Yesterday at check out as the store was closing, there was a long line. The young person guiding us through check out refused to wear a mask and wouldn't social distance and she kept invading everyone's personal space. Every customer present was in a mask and trying to avoid contact with this young lady who just wasn't respecting anyone's space. The entire check out section is marked for distancing, yet your employee wouldn't practice! Please fix this situation if you want me to shop there. I thought it was totally unprofessional and just chalked it up to her having a bad day. I know there is a workforce shortage so everyone deserves a bit more grace these days. Plumbing and electrical really need to step their game up with inventory. Every time i'm there they're out of 1/2" and 3/4 liquid tights, it's always a mess, and the gas plumbing is the same way. If you come here, you better know what you're looking for because most of the employees have zero knowledge about home improvement in general which probably explains the high turnover rate. It must be a prerequisite to have a poor attitude and rude as possible to work here. Their only saving grace is that there is usually one older individual (probably a remnant of better customer service days gone by). And that person was not there today. If you have a small ace hardware near by, do yourself a favor and go there instead. Even if their employees can't answer your questions immediately, they don't just shrug their shoulders and walk away. A lot of staff take a lot of effort to find a product or help describe how it's used etc. But for a bigger ticket items the purchase is pleasant but the follow up is not. This review is for the Home Depot tile estimate that we had for our townhome. The gentleman in the store, Mike was very nice in getting us scheduled, however from there out, the issues were great! The time given for our estimate was from noon - 2pm. I was a little late in getting to the appointment as I do not live at the townhome, it's a newly purchased rental and had to get there from Vista. The estimator was very upset that I was late. So, the estimate, I thought was going without issue. He said something about "something wrong with our floor" so had to check with the store and our estimate wouldn't be ready until the next day. I still wasn't sure what was meant by something wrong with the floor since we had pulled up all the carpet and pad and could see the subfloor on the second floor (the first floor is a concrete slab, so there were no issues there). Day three - we get the quote and see "cannot install tile over particle board...." blah blah blah! PARTICLE BOARD my butt! We argued that we do not in fact have particle board for a subfloor, then he changed his mind and said it must be "OSB" not particle board - as stated now on the quote. I wasn't sure what OSB was, but Googled it and it was clearly not OSB, but in fact plywood as anyone with a brain would know!!! Took a picture of the floor and actually showed it to the clerk (who was a girl) at Home Depot who confirmed, "yep, that's plywood". So why would they send me an idiot who couldn't tell the difference between OSB and plywood??? Second, I was being charged for toilet removal and reinstall (the toilets were already removed), pulling up the carpet and the pad (which was already removed) and the final issue - the SQUARE FOOTAGE WAS WAY OFF!! We used his calculations as well as re-measured the entire thing ourselves and found about a 300 square foot difference! We have used Home Depot in the past and were pleased with the small tile job (about 8 years ago), but this job was upcharged and overbid. Would I use them this time, no. They have totally lost credibility with me for this or any future jobs! read more

This is a pretty good Home Depot because it's hardly ever crowded which means the customer service is great. I like this HD because it's close to my house, the employees are friendly, helpful and the prices aren't too bad. So yes this HD is kind of out in the middle of nowhere but it works for me so I can't complain too much. I sometimes think is it even worth it for HD to have this location because it's so slow but anyway this HD is just like any other one. I've never had any problems here but the lighting in the parking lot could be a little brighter but that's what I think. Other then that this HD is A-ok with me. read more

The worst customer service I have experienced in my life. I bought a bbq 20 days ago and purchased the installation. It states on the receipt to expect a call from the installation company within 1-2 days. However, 20 days later, I am still trying to solve the disconnection between Home Depot and the installation company. I have received minimal assistance from Home Depot customer service - "you can call this number," "we cannot do much on our end, you need to call HomeDepot.com," which I did 5 times so far and each time spent over an hour on the phone. The installation company claims they cannot find my order in the system because Home Depot never sent them the order. I have been a loyal customer for many years, and did not have any major complaints until now. The most frustrating thing is that my problem has not been solved yet. read more

I shop here often & usually everything is good. However, walking into the Home Depot they have a newer cart worker who gathers the carts & cleans them. While walking up he yelled at a customer & told them not to touch that cart because it had not been cleaned. The way he said it was rude & unprofessional. I went in for paint & the employees were very pleasant. While walking out the same cart employee proceeded to follow me & my kids to my car. He said "howdy, & watched me unload my paint into my car. It was very uncomfortable for myself & my kids. He then told me to not put the cart so close to my vehicle because he's had several complaints about the carts leaving Orange paint on the back of their vehicles. I told him I was okay, I need the cart close to my car because I have my kids in the cart & the paint was heavy. He stayed there waiting for me. The cart holder was right next to my car, I try my best to park next to them so I don't have to walk far with my kids in the parking lot. My issue was the way he speaks to customers & how he sat there & waited just staring at my kids & I while I unloaded the paint. It was odd & very uncomfortable. He should probably be spoken with on how to interact with customers. If I have to keep having the same encounters with him I'll make my way down the street to another Home Depot. read more
