This store is poorly managed. On Dec. 3, 2024, I made a $2719.92 purchase, less $1000.00 Samsung annual promotion. Thus, total purchase was 1719.92 I presented 10% off coupon mailed to me. I was supposed to received $171.99 off the purchase. Instead, the sales lady gave me $9.79 off the total purchase. I left and found the mistake and went back to the store. They told me that I had already received big discount so I would not deserve that 10% off. What is the logic? This store is suck. read more

This is a review for our KitchenAid cooktop and downdraft purchase. I was replacing our 1986 Creda cooktop that was starting to poop out. Darlene Bogdon, their kitchen designer, sat with us and explained the options. We were prepared to buy two separate appliances, but she showed us this KitchenAid that had both the cooktop and downdraft together. Since they don't install these, she emailed us specs of both products to discuss with our installer, Wizard Appliance Installation. After getting the thumbs up for the combo unit, I called several other appliance dealers to confirm pricing. Only Home Depot had these available and they were the lowest price. Everyone else said they had no idea when the cooktops would be in stock. I came here Sunday to pick up a faucet I purchased online, and then picked up in store. When I went to the pick up line, i received my item very quick, no one was in line and everything was quick and smooth. However when I got home and my handy man and I opened up the box, the item's alarm went off really really loud and wouldn't stop. We couldn't figure out how to turn it off, and my handy man was so uncomfortable and I finally just told him to hit it with a hammer until it turned off lol if it would've been very busy then I would've understood the situation but since it wasn't busy at all, and they let this slip up happen I had to leave a review about it. I will still give four stars because their nursery section is one of the better ones I've seen in a home depot , and now looking back at it a few days later the story is pretty funny and one to remember . read more

Scan your barcode that is provided after you complete your purchase online. OK, Home Depot is hit or miss. Most of the time, I do not have a very enjoyable experience where it is hard to find a person (none the less a helpful person), they don't always have what i need, and the location is somewhere sketchy and dirty. However, I've been to this new Pasadena location a few times as I've been replacing a fence in my backyard. Every time that I have gone, the workers were helpful, they have had what I needed, and the place (and outside) was pretty clean. As a matter of fact, last week after I purchased about $400 worth of wood and supplies, I left a bag in the bottom of my shopping cart when I was loading all the wood in my car. The bag had about $25 of stuff. When I got home 15 min later, I realized I forgot the bag. I went back to the store to look at the cart, and it was gone. I went inside and asked, but nothing was turned it. I was lucky enough to ask the manager on duty, and he was so kind. He let me go grab the items that I lost outside (I had the receipt). He then checked them off on the receipt and let me have them. It was very much appreciated, and that kind act, will have me going to Home Depot over Lowes for most of my future stuff! read more

I am writing this review as I sit here on the floor at Home Depot having spoken to several employees who for some reason, are "not in the lumber department" and consequently cannot help me. It took about 30 minutes of waiting to actually find someone who can cut wood for us - but not even to the measurement that we need it because again, another rule at Home Depot is that they cannot cut wood by inch but rather, feet. It seems that no matter what Home Depot branch we go to -- whether new or well-established -- I find myself having to reserve at least an hour of my time to accomplish what should've been a 15 minute task. I should say though that it wasn't a particular employee's fault, but just apparent "Home Depot" rules that made them "unable" to help us. On a Saturday early afternoon in mid March, Home Depot finally opened in the former Avon building. The size is smaller than Alhambra Location. There are ample parking and parking structure. The garden center has assorted flowers display on the sidewalk. I didn't see any specials except $1.99 flowers. Inside lots of self checkout registers and staff around. I wish there could be no stars, cuz that's what this Home Depot deserves. The parking is a nightmare. Who at the city or the planning people with Home Depot thought this parking configuration was ok? Not only is this a design flaw, but the problems are compounded by taking up 5 parking spaces for pallets of dirt, which could be placed elsewhere! It is worse at Christmas time when 1/4 of the lot is taken up by Christmas trees....really. There is ample space on the south side of the building where no one parks! Horns honk, people are very verbally abusive, accidents, and the police have been called a few times over incidents in the parking lot. Just a nightmare. When checking out, there use to be at least 3 people at cash registers, now only one person inside and one person out in the garden area. Home Depot wants you to use self check out....really, then why is that you have a couple people standing around the self check out helping people check out?! I have seen and overheard people not paying....is the loss of revenue worth the self check out? I refuse to use it as it takes a job away from a person. When I chose to wait for a person to ring me up, one of management personnel was rude to me because I did not want his help at self check out. Putting this Home Depot at this particular location is a joke and the company makes matters worse with crappy parking and self check outs. read more

It was easy to navigate, very familiar layout and well-stocked. Staff is friendly. The lady at checkout saved me actually. Aside from the fact that most departments are unmanned, even during peak business hours, the checkout process is terribly outdated. I've been in many Home Depot stores, including Pasadena, Duarte, Burbank and more but not one of them even offers touchless card readers. That's right, no 'tap' available and terrible chip readers that rarely work The employees are dealing with a situation they can't remedy and store management is obviously frustrated as well Online ordering is also extremely outdated and unreliable. I went for assistance in finding out about replacing a part for my refrigerator. I was very impressed with the young employee(main customer service) who was able to find the part online but not from the HD site. She requested to go see the service person in the appliance department. The appliance service was assisting a gentleman( kind of talking to him with an attitude) so I had to wait a few minutes which was fine. When I showed her the model number of the part she was acting like I was wasting her time and saying I don't know what that is, what are those numbers(which were written by the gal up front) She kept repeating herself so I just said okay, that's fine thank you and walked away. A big thanks to the gal for finding another site I could order off and get the part which is arriving in the next couple of days. She was very friendly. September 2022 Such an awful store. I tried to save time by calling first, but I was on hold the entire 15 minutes it took to drive there (and they dropped my call just as I was parking). Once I got inside, I had to find my own assistance (shout out to the helpful young men, hiss boo to rude old Darlene). I got what I needed, but what a hassle...even the check out lines are chaotic. HD has a few workers who are desperately trying to help customers against the odds of this nightmare store - they earned the star. I was hopeful when this store was opening having had to go from Pasadena to The Monrovia store for decades for the needs of my contracting business. Unfortunately this store is a big disappointment. It's significantly smaller and therefore has less stock choices -and already after a few months whatever is supposed to be on the shelves is running very thin. Couldn't find half-inch PVC connectors to save my life. The fact that the aisles are clogged with Pasadena old timers puttering about with their dogs with nothing better to do doesn't make the experience any easier. It was much better when they had OSH to use for their daytime recreation room. Aggravation and a waste of my working time -going back to the Monrovia store for a sure thing. read more

They appear to hire lazy, uneducated, unintelligent young people. Dozens of them wandering around aimlessly. Looking lost and bewildered. Adults would be the wrong word, for a professional adult: Follows through Does what's appropriate Knows how to speak appropriately to a customer Is helpful Acknowledges a customer who is waiting. The curbside pick up was a DISASTER! No attendant to assist, the email link didn't work and an endless loop of meaningless chatter when I called as instructed. They just lost this customer. Everytime we go to the gardening department it is infested with rats!! Now this is unacceptable in a store that sells all types of rat poison and rat traps. No one acts like it matters! They have big rats and small ones all on the shelves scaring the heck out of you when you reach for a product and disturb them! It's just scary! read more

Many visits and there are good days and not so good days. I've met several helpful and knowledgeable associates along the way and others that simply do not want to be bothered. Prices are great, though sometimes the sale items online are buried in the back of the store (I normally take a screenshot of the aisle and bay # before stepping into the store). I mourned the closing of OSH in Pasadena and to be honest- the smaller size of this place reminds me a bit of that store. Parking always seems to be under some restriction, but spots in the garage are always open. This is Home Depot light, when compared to the Monrovia store- but a place I frequent for all my home projects. read more

I needed to add some fencing to prevent the dog from escaping the yard, so went to this new Home Depot to search out fencing and other items to secure our fencing. I found everything I needed within 15 minutes and was able to check out in another five minutes. I find this store quite accessible and convenient to our home. We have had really good experiences with customer services and installations here. We ordered carpet from them and the respectful workers did a very clean and thorough job. The carpet looks great. We also got a fridge and dishwasher here. Good brands and nice install options. You'll have to wait a while for delivery on some things though. So we just ordered blinds as well from this location. They customized them to our preferences. The delivery and installation are not immediate (blame the covid backlog) but they do the best they can. Very reliable and good service always. read more
