Vacuum cleaner parts these days are harder to find I've found. But luck was with me at The Home Depot. I have an older Vacuum cleaner thats been good to me. It was given to me. However some attachments were missing. And being funny about cleanliness I went on the hunt to find them First stop Walmart, nothing! Second stop by another Walmart customer, The Home Depot, Jackpot. :) One thing I would like to say is: Home Depot has Vacuums in one isle, and Vacuum parts in another isle. I decided that 8 p.m. on a Saturday is a dandy time to shop for toilet seats and mini blinds. It wasn't busy, but there was plenty of workers to put away the merchandise, ladders, etc. littering the aisles like confetti. I started down the mini blind aisle and only saw light filtering. I had to walk around to the other end of an aisle, just to get to the room darkening mini blinds. Even so, I had to crouch slightly (I'm 5'1") and climb through a wheeled ladder to get to them. Buying 2 toilet seats would be less challenging. Nope. I had to crouch and walk under the shelf to get to them, because the stack nearest the edge was sold out. Weaving down the aisles around the merchandise to the cashier like I knocked back Wild Turkey shots at dinner, I finally made it out. At my request, the head cashier called a parking lot escort, who was very nice and assured me he'd use his combat experience if necessary (it wasn't necessary). Nice to know, though, that the workers have diverse skills. Now if only one of those was clearing the aisles... read more

When we were selling our house, I was here more times than I can count. Just getting basic stuff to fix up the house like light bulbs, fixtures, etc. It's funny how you live with a light bulb out for years, but you go get a light bulb for the new people that will live in your house... Unfortunately I am the handy man of our family. I've gotten lots of random things here like a new light switch, a doorknob, a toilet flapper. I learn how to do most of it on youtube, and if you can find an employee, they are pretty good at finding what you need. This weekend, however, I came to get a replacement for our towel bar that broke. I just assumed they'd have one. But I seem to have an extremely rare ceramic towel bar in my house that no one carries. Lucky me. I did ask for help, to make sure I wasn't missing it or it was in a separate aisle, and she confirmed they didn't have it. I can't find it on their website either, so I think they really don't have it. I also need thinset mortar. I need about a scoop of it, and you can only buy a gallon for $25. A different employee helped me find that, but she really knew nothing about it. I was wondering if I could use a different kind that came in a smaller package. In fairness, I don't know how their employees could possibly know about everything in the store. I'm lucky they can find most of the items fairly easily, if you can find an employee. read more

First of all the checkout and entrance/exit makes no sense. I have trouble walking. I parked near the entrance but after I pay I have to turn the cart around and squeeze passed people waiting in line to get back to the entrance I used while people are also coming in that entrance and squeezing by people. Also there are always so many dogs in there. Today one dog kept barking and growling and trying to get at the 2 dogs the one person had. I understand service dogs but I don't believe this is what's going on here and many other places to be honest. Since you can't ask people if that's a service dog you just have to assume it is and people can just bring all their dogs to Home Depot or wherever. Time for me to switch back to Lowes. I only started coming here because I moved and it's a lot closer. But I think Lowes is worth the drive. read more

I ordered a dresser from here and they said that the latest that it would be here is 8/13 and it has yet to be shipped even though the shipping label was created at the end of July. Their calling center has been most unhelpful as well and even after two calls I have no idea what is going on with my dresser. read more

I bought a new Amana side by side fridge freezer. It was delivered 9/15/2022. It has never worked. Recall on a controller PCBA/bad chips. It has a 1yr warranty of which 2 months are now spent. Home depot will do nothing. They won't take it back and replace. Why they would get a full refund. The manufacturer will NOT extend my warranty and I do not have a date when parts will be available to fix. But Home Depot has the exact same units in stock, but they won't do anything. I will never buy another appliance from them. Their complete lack of customer service is unbelievable. read more

This is the closest home depot to me, and this store had so much potential, but man I dislike coming here. It is so hard to find someone to help in a specific department. No one knows where anything is, and then you have to walk the store 7 times to find someone that does. I think the staff is friendly but they are hard to find. If I could give zero stars I would. I selected Home Depot for installation of my cabinets and purchased all new appliances. I don't have enough space to discuss all the issues with the cabinets I had from the start but Chris (the installer) has done a fantastic job in resolving Home Depots mistakes. My big issue today is I had the appliances delivered today but the only one that was ready for install was the refrigerator. They never hooked up the water line or put handles on the doors. Now I have to wait until next week for them to come out to put the handles on. Don't go with home depot if you want your sanity. read more

Just went in the other day to purchase blinds. The worker there in the flooring department said he did not know anything about the blinds and if I wanted information or to order I had to come back at noon (it was 9:30am). The worker did not seem like he was interested in helping at all. He was also sick. I ended up going to Lowe's where the service was much better. I know that during COVID it is difficult to find good workers. But at the very least make sure that they are not coming in sick and train them to call a manager if they cannot answer basic questions. read more

I came here for some inexpensive mums. Ended up buying a bunch of perennials on sale. The young men working in the garden department were super friendly and very helpful! I typically choose to go to other Home Depots because the service here tends to be less helpful. I was pleased to interact wit such nice young gentlemen. Every time I order anything it's a nightmare. Orders get tossed between staff, locations because they don't want to deal with it. It seems that they just try to not fill online orders long enough so you will just cancel and order from another location. Staff is rude on the phone, never want to help. Attitude all over the place. People must not shop in store at this location because most orders get sent here since they always have items in stock. Even when trying to order from other local locations I always end up having to deal with the hot mess that is this store. I came here looking for lighting and I needed assistance. An employee who I think was doing inventory called for assistance for me, after awhile no one still came. The employee noticed that no one had come and helped me looked for someone to help me. A manager attempted to help me and the employee in lighting finally came. He was unable to help me with that I needed. read more

HOME DEPOT online custom door order manufacturer Feather River. Trucking Company Non Stop Delivery I placed this door order in the beginning of April 2021. it stated the door would be delivered end of April. I knew I was having work done around the house since I am having a wedding at my house end of July .I planned way ahead of time to get the door and get it installed... I did not hear anything end of April and I followed up. They said it would be shipped end of May. That date came and went. I called numerus times and although the CSR at Home Depot were nice, they said it should be shortly...FINALLY I get notice 06/23 the door is done. The door is charged on my account and I get tracking info. The 1st trucking company given didn't have the order...I called Home Depot again...I was told it was with another company . I received their tracking info and it said to be deliver July2-6th. Check tracking again 7th and 8th. sates in transit shows it hasnt moved since June 23rd..I followed up Home Depot and CSR at Home depot tells me to call the trucking company!! I asked the CSR why do I have to follow up with the trucking company...I placed the order with Home Depot...he said they more or less did their part!! I call the trucking company They say they don't have the door!!???I call Home Depot again . They started a special case# and said they would try to see if they knew where the door is..... I follow up again...they dont they did any follow up and now they tell me to order another door which on the website says will be delivered end of JULY....are you kidding me? I wouldn't believe anything that was on the website.. Perhaps its FEATHER RIVER Doors that is stating they will deliver the product by then.. remember the order started in April and due to be delivered end of April...LETS be realistic on the dates showing on the website! I asked if this new door could be expediated and was told no... ...I have a hard time believing that they even made the door and if they did make the door why cant they contact NON Stop Delivery to find out where the door is since they contracted the trucking company ..BTW I called them both to tack the door...Non Stop tracking says in transit...NOT sure if Home depot called them. Dissatisfied!!!! We recently went to "The Home Depot" for carpet installation. We had an old carpet that we ripped up ourselves, and we also made a repair to the floor that was under the old carpet. Apparently "The Home Depot" has a subcontractor, "American Carpet South". The day the installation was complete, the carpet installers had me walk through the living room to make sure everything was good. I looked at everything (so I thought). The guy (either Jake or Jeremy) which I didn't think anything of because of how great the carpet looked) was standing right on the entry way. They also had me speak with someone from their office to let them know the installation was complete, and unfortunately I also signed a waiver. When I realized their mistake I quickly called the 800 # no response!! "American Carpet South" carpet installers made a very stupid mistake!!! The entry way to our living room was not fully covered. We made a floor repair before (as I stated in the beginning of the review) the carpet installation, and a small part of the floor that was repaired was visible. The marks from the old carpet were also there, why wouldn't you cover that?! There was a huge slab of extra carpet too!! My 3 year old daughter can tell you were the old carpet was installed, why the "American Carpet" installers didn't cover this area I couldn't even explain it!! Long story short "American Carpet South" is blaming "The Home Depots" measuring team. "American Carpet" won't do anything about it because I signed the waiver! You can clearly see the mistake! I'm definitely far from satisfied after spending $1600.00 for carpet, having a mistake like that just stay that way because these people want to play the blame game.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CARPET INSTALLATION FROM THE HOME DEPOT/ AMERICAN CARPET SOUTH!!!! The Home Depot after this, I will be taking my business elsewhere. It was a little bit of a struggle shopping at this Home Depot recently. I was in the market for an air conditioner and instead of walking around aimlessly I found someone and asked where to find them. He motioned to me that they were up front, great. Next, I looked around for the particular model I had found online that the website said they had sold in stores as well but wasn't having any luck. I found a different employee and asked if he knew about this particular air conditioner, he did not. He tried convincing me they didn't sell GE, but they I pulled up the specific model number and he was able to locate them for me, and they had tons in stock. The air conditioner was $200, yikes, and very heavy. When I got to the checkout I was asked if I wanted the warranty for about $20 but I decided against it. I am unable to lift heavy things so I asked the woman at the checkout if she could get someone to help me lift the AC into my trunk. She said no problem and to wait outside and she would send somebody out. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, there still wasn't anyone around. I went back into the store, found an employee and asked if there was anybody around who could help. She said no problem and to go wait outside and she would send someone right out. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, still nobody around. At this point I was getting extremely frustrated as it was my second attempt to get help. I ended up having to walk all the way to the garden department, found a really nice gentleman employee there and he walked back to my car with me and helped load the AC in no problem. There needs to be a better system for assisting customers with heavy items outside because I waited close to a half hour for help. The GE air conditioner works really well, but is extremely extremely loud, difficult to hear my television when it's on, however it does the job! read more

Unfortunately the only Home Depot that I ever get any great services at is the Home Depot in Gates New York in Rochester that is probably because I shop there a lot, and I know most of the workers there especially Rose she is the best at the pro desk. Went to Home Depot in Irondequoit just now to get paint. I stood at the paint counter for 9 mins without anyone saying a thing to me. There were 4 employees 15 feet from me huddled in a group laughing loudly and looking at me but never said a word. The guy who ended up helping me was leaving and stayed late to help me so im guessing he was just walking by and seen no one helping me. The least they could of done was said someone will be there soon but they just kept talking. From now on ill go to Henrietta Home Depot because there I have received great customer service. By time I cashed out there were even more people just standing around taking, in the way of me getting to the register and the cashier made me feel like I was interrupting her convo about catching the bus to another employee. read more
