This Home Depot is this one we visit most frequently, it's close to home, has plenty of parking, and typically has everything we need. I spend a lot of time in the garden section and their plants have held up pretty well for us and I always enjoy browsing the seasonal offerings. We also have worked on various home projects, and while it typically feels like a treasure hunt navigating the aisles for what we need, we know their friendly staff are available if we can't find things on our own. read more

EDIT: I'm happy someone responded here. However, the link you sent goes to an expired GoDaddy webpage. I can't do anything there. Home Depot has a low rating for a reason. We contacted them to do a flooring job. It was found after they sent out people to do the floor and take our downstairs toilet out, that the floor was too uneven to install the flooring. Okay, cool. Asked if they did the leveling. No, they don't, but either we could find someone (if we knew people who could do flooring or home repair we wouldn't need to go through Home Depot) or they could direct us to some program they have called Pro Referral, which Hone Depot will put the project in and contractors can see it and contact you with an offer to do your job. We went through that to find RodCo Renovations. Another company involved with the flooring project (Home Depot doesn't employ anyone doing these projects, so we have 3 different companies involved to keep track of), came out after RodCo and told us the floor was still just as uneven as it was before. We've gone back and forth with all these companies since July 2nd. This whole time, being unable to use our downstairs toilet (because they took it out to put the flooring in) and having to move our washer and dryer back and forth because this project had been taking a month, so far, and looks like it'll be taking even longer because Home Depot seems to have no control over the project/product they offered and have been paid for. How do you offer a service and then tell the customer they're just "on their own" to figure out how to get a KEY part of it done before they can finish it all? It's actually ridiculous. Because we had to pay for the project, then pay for the leveling, which RodCo still hasn't finished correctly, and might have to pay out of pocket again to get the floor leveled because of Home Depot needing the floor to be leveled to a very specific measurement for us to quality for the flooring warranty. All this trouble for a kitchen floor is insane. At this point, we should have just hired a specific contractor to do the entire job because an already $4500 (which is way too expensive for vinyl flooring) project is turning out to be insanely expensive. I would absolutely NOT hire Home Depot or RodCo to do any projects. Romanoff Renovations (also through Home Depot) has really been the only company, so far, consistent with communication and trying to get the floor finished. Today leads the third round with this project and we are beyond tired of this situation. Now, RodCo is unresponsive, Home Depot is unresponsive, and I'm honestly just annoyed. Horrible business all around. If you have a home renovation project, it's better to either figure out how to do it yourself, make friends with someone who knows, or hire a reputable, professional contractor to do the ENTIRE job, so you're not dealing with multiple companies, like a puzzle, to get one project done. My friendly neighborhood Home Depot! A few good memories during my shopping experiences at the Natomas location. We were in the middle of a kitchen remod and I thought I had finalized my decision on the knobs and pulls. An associate happen to be in the aisle and I shared what we were working on and shared some manufactured and past customer feedback that helped my determine which knobs and pulls to purchase. On another occasion we were painting and I couldn't decide on a particular shade. An associate asked some questions (what room in the home, lighting in room, etc.), and I was able to make a decision in one visit. I would give Emily the HD staff a 10 stars for being so helpful. Service with a smile. She didn't hesitate to offer suggestion and hooked us up with a vinyl that was on discount (a will call item that's already cut). 4 stars for HD overall because at checkout, Nancy attended to us. It went on normal, as soon as she entered the discount, we prompted her that the price supposed to be $15. Nancy responded, "I can't do anything here, we can't give you that price." Emily has written $15 on the cover of the vinyl. Nancy could have said,"let me double check with Emily". It's a customer service job- provide the customer the service. I just had the most bizarre and unnecessarily hostile experience at the Home Depot in Natomas. I went to the garden center to buy a pumpkin plant. It's our family tradition to buy pumpkin plants from Home Depot and plant them on Memorial Day weekend, which are then ready to harvest in the fall (the average time to harvest a pumpkin is around 100 days). I couldn't find any pumpkin plants on the outside displays so I went into the garden center to inquire. There was an employee watering the plants and I asked her about pumpkin plants. She said they didn't have any plants but directed me to where I could buy seeds. And then, for absolutely no reason, a vendor named Cassandra inserted herself into the conversation. "It's the wrong time of year for pumpkins," Cassandra said. I told Cassandra that we plant pumpkins every May on or around Memorial Day. It's a family tradition. (For reference, Sacramento is Zone 9B, and the recommended time to plant pumpkins is between May and early July. So no, Memorial Day is not the wrong time to plant pumpkins.) Cassandra acted annoyed and said, "Well, you're wrong." I couldn't believe she was speaking to me this way. "What do you mean I'm wrong?" I asked her. "It's our family tradition. How am I wrong?" She scoffed and said "Well, you're mistaken. We've never sold pumpkins here." That's when I asked Cassandra for her name, and she said she's not an employee, she's a vendor. So I said, "Are you the only vendor that supplies plants here?" She said, "No, but I know my plants. You have never bought a pumpkin plant from Home Depot." I couldn't believe how hostile she was behaving. Telling a customer they're "wrong" repeatedly, telling them something that their family does every year doesn't happen--these are personal attacks and they weren't appropriate. I started to walk off, and then Cassandra immediately started bad mouthing me loudly to the Home Depot employee. So I approached them both and said this is very rude and I didn't understand why Cassandra was getting so angry at me. The employee apologized and said she has no control over what Cassandra says. I don't understand how or why this escalated so quickly. Cassandra should lose her job as a vendor. And vendors should never be engaging with customers or inserting themselves into conversations between customers and Home Depot employees. The Home Depot employee already had it handled. She told me they didn't have plants. That should have been the end of it. I would have walked out and not thought anything else about it. Cassandra inserted herself where she didn't belong and went from 0 to 100 in a matter of seconds. I hope Home Depot will investigate this and not allow Cassandra to work on their property again. And finally, attached is a photo of my son sitting proudly next to the pumpkin plant we bought from Home Depot on a previous Memorial Day weekend. If you zoom in, you can see the Bonnie plant tag. Ok i went online and it says they accept Apple Pay. Well I'm here to tell you NO THEY DON'T. I was annoyed but it also could have been the rock in my left shoe! So after removing my shoe & sock I found it in my shoe so i put the sock and shoe back on after removing the rock. Then everything was fine and the Apple Pay was no-longer annoying. Where shall I start? I made an appointment twice to have someone give me an estimate on flooring and remodeling the kitchen. Twice nobody showed up. NO phone call or email to advise what happened or to apologize. I was exasperated because I took one of those days off from work to be home all day! When I spoke to a manager, he couldn't find proof of my appointment. He didn't even try to find an alternative answer or any kind of help. I left that conversation feeling unheard and not important enough for him to care. Another experience was in the gardening department. Nobody bothered to ask if I needed help stacking bags of bark on my cart. It's hard to find anyone to help you. If you do find someone, that employee has 5 other customers patiently waiting their turn. I've witnessed a lot of YOUNG men walking around in pairs , doing absolutely nothing, like they're in high school! I'm a 61 year old woman. Where's the courtesy and respect? I feel like I'm being discriminated against because of my gender. Unfair treatment! Where are the managers and supervisors on the floor? Where is the accountability? The rack was very sparse in what they had on the rack and NO sign of the specific one I needed Asked an associate for assistance. She was very helpful. This Home Depot should be the example of how customer service should look like, there was a error with my carpet installation, to the point where I paid to have my title removed so I can get carpet installed, the contractor came and removed the tile from the stairs but he didn't remove it all from upstairs, after contacting the 3rd party company licensed through home depot I expressed the job wasn't completed so the contractor couldn't put the carpet down on the hallway of my stairs, they sent the contractors to come back and they finished removing the tile, upon carpet completion I got a call form Home Depot saying there was a balance owed, Colleen stated that they had to remove something that was paid for, I informed her that I paid for the service and I wasn't told by the contractor that I need to pay extra money for the service again, my frustration began to build and she kept her composure and transferred me to her manager Joshua, I was clearly showing frustration with her as well, she also kept her composure as well, after explaining the story to her she told me that she was going to take care of the fee for me, I really appreciate them both so much for that and I wanna apologize for the way I was talking to both of those ladies, they provided me excellent customer service, and we were able to get the situation resolved, I will be coming back to this Home Depot for sure to get my kitchen down read more

On Saturday, 11/02, I called and spoke to Gracie about items I had purchased on 10/17. After following up more than a week later, they still hadn't received my shipment and didn't know where it was. She said she'd call me with an update by Monday. When I didn't receive any call back, I called again on Thursday, an associate told me they had the items but couldn't locate them and suggested I call back on Saturday to speak with Gracie. I decided to come into the store on 11/8. Tania assisted me and informed me that Gracie was on lunch. She also told me the product still hadn't arrived, no one knew where it was, and no efforts had been made to reorder it after they discovered it was missing. I was frustrated, as I kept getting the runaround with no clear answer on how to retrieve the $6,700 worth of items I had already paid for. I let Tania know I'd shop around the store while she looked into it, and after about 20 minutes, I checked back with her. Unfortunately, she still had no resolution. I had expressed the urgency of this purchase because my home had flooded, and I needed the replacement items quickly. I made the purchase believing the items would arrive in about two weeks. At this point, RJ, the assistant manager, approached me with a dismissive and hostile attitude. Frustrated, I asked if he could provide any assistance or a timeframe I could relay to my contractor, who was scheduled to work on the flooring the next day. I was also charged a cancellation fee due to the delays, which added to my frustration as I explained the situation. He then made a comment that he was glad he had a "witness" with him. I was tearing up while speaking to him, unsure of what I'd done wrong--I just wanted a clear answer. After dealing with this for over a month, RJ's response was that items get lost all the time, that people come to Home Depot for "cheap stuff," and that he "knew the kind of people" who shop there. I told him I just wanted an estimate on when I could expect my items and mentioned that if a refund was the better option, I might consider that. He then accused me of racism because I started to walk away, hoping Tania could help me with next steps, and continued to repeat similar accusations. He then turned to the other employee, saying, "Yeah, see, that's why I brought you--to show you crazy people like that. I wanted to make sure I'd have someone with me because I just know these kinds of people." I explained to Tania that I just needed to know when my items would arrive, as I'd been given the runaround repeatedly and assured several times that they had arrived. As I was speaking with her, RJ loudly said, "I thought you wanted to cancel your items." When I clarified that I didn't want to cancel, he chuckled and said, "See, I knew she wouldn't," within earshot. I've had to come into the store multiple times for what should have been a quick 20-minute trip. I left feeling embarrassed, belittled, and disappointed. I've been going to this Home Depot for every home renovation over the last 20 years and have never had any issues until now. I hope no one else has to experience this, and that RJ and his team can improve their customer service. I understand that items can sometimes get lost or delayed--things happen. My partner and I got there around 1:45pm ish on 3/23. We had specific lumber slats we wanted to purchase. We asked a bald white dude with blue eyes if he knew where it was(in the lumber department). He didn't. That's fine. He got someone who knew. We asked both of them if they can cut them if we need them to. They said yes. So we picked out these long slats about 15 feet. They were long and couldn't fit in our car. It took us awhile because some of them were damaged. We finally get all 15 slats we needed. Carry them over to where they cut the lumber. We had to go to the front to ask for help. They called someone over and the same bald guy comes walking over looking like he didn't want to help. So we asked him to cut it. He said they only do 10 cuts. I asked him ok how much would it cost if you do more because I'm willing to pay. I told him we couldn't fit these in our car. He said they don't charge and they only will do 10 cuts. It was obvious he didn't want to do it. He didn't seem happy when he first walked up. His attitude wasn't horrible but he definitely acted like he didn't want to be there. We looked up on the website and every store has different rules. Some charge for extra cuts. Some don't. The rule is 10. If it's for transport they will do more than 10. We ended up talking to a manager at a different store and she said he should have cut them for us. This is where they went wrong in not communicating. When we first asked them they should have told us this rule. They didn't. These slate were thin and no longer than 2 inches wide. We wasted a lot of time picking these slats out to leave with nothing. This is not ok at all. We are extremely let down. UPDATE: We went to the Home Depot on Howe the next day. They took care of us right away. He cut 14 pieces of wood for us in half. He did four at a time with no problem. We told him what happened the previous day and he said that is totally unacceptable. There's other Home Depot's that will treat you well if you run into the same problem. read more

We have purchased many things here - appliances, lumber, plants and landscaping goods. HD consistently has great prices and a wide selection. The service can vary depending on the number of people on the floor but that is true in any store. We tend to do our research online before going in to purchase so we know what we want most of the time. However when we went in to get a new dishwasher, the associate was most helpful in ordering something that was specialty for us. He was a little slow on the computer, but I think he was new'ish. Besides our local small hardware store, HD is our go to and has been for many years. read more

I had many problems with attitude if the workers in this store. They are basically rude, so I avoid going here. No matter what time they avoid you or send you to customer center where is nobody. Today I had to go due a tool I need, again the women shout at me saying they will help. I went to the customer center where three employees were standing -it was no one in line- and when I asked to open the door the women that shout me before said that someone was supposed to help me. We have had many great experiences and good customer service at our Home Depot. A few months ago the store was evacuated while we were having locks we'd purchased at Home Depot rekeyed by Dan. We were instructed to leave the store immediately and left our house key as well as the locks at the service desk where Dan had been helping us. We weren't able to go back into the store for several hours. When we came back for our locks and keys, Dan had finished rekeying the locks before he left for the day and our house keys were kept safe in the office for us. The Home Depot in Natomas is in one of the oldest shopping centers in Natomas, together with Walmart and Regal Movie Theaters. The store itself is good. Most of the items are available in the store. The store is clean and well organized. The only thing I don't enjoy going to this store unless I have no choice is the location of the shopping center. This is one of the worst shopping center layouts in the Sacramento area. The entrance of the shopping center is a mess, and the Home Depot is the last store deeply in the mall. It takes a long time to get in and out of the store sometimes! read more

We had a great experience at the Home Depot on Truxel thanks to Chris in the lumber department. On 4/5/25, Chris went above and beyond when he helped us with cutting baseboards. Instead of just pointing us toward the self-service cutting station, he took the time to make the cuts himself after noticing I wasn't totally comfortable using the saw. They only have a couple of brands on floor but not much selection and the girl that was trying to help me was very UNHELPFUL. What's wrong with people these days ? They don't like to work!!!! Customer service suck. I wanted to buy a Milwaukee inflator pump. Everything is lock up. i was at the ails for about 20 minutes, and no worker walked by or ask if I need any help. I couldn't find any workers near by. So I went up to asked a cashier that I need help on getting a Milwaukee tool. She told me she'll call someone to help me. She doesn't have a key. I waited for about 20 minutes. No one showed up. I asked again a worker walked by. He said the same thing. 10 minutes later no one show up to help me. I guess those tools are only for show, not for sale. I end up walk out and not buying it. This will be my last time going there. This place very BAD customer service. I have recently been a Home Depot frequent visitor since purchasing a home and this had got to be the worst one. If you're an employee who likes to socialize and not help people, this is the place to work! I arrived with a return Monday afternoon. Two gals at the return desk was having a personal conversation and continued to finish it before helping me. No apology or even a hello. She just took my stuff. Then I go to the paint section and same thing happened there! Two guys chatting it up. Now I'm wandering around looking for things. I wish they had a directory but finding someone to help you was impossible. Finally I find one and he's socializing with a female clerk. I'm standing there waiting until I finally had to say excuse me. I guess the lost look on my face didn't clue you in. I get that you have friends at work and that socializing gets you through the day but please stop for a moment in the presence of a customer and then resume. I shouldn't feel awkward to ask for help. If I can, I will frequent a different HD but unfortunately this is closest to home. Hopefully my next visit will be better. read more
