Bought a washer from them. Took serveral tries to get it delivered. Some glitch in their system kept cancelling delivery and finally it cancelled order and I had to re-order. Less than a week later the machine stops working giving me an E3F5 error. I got on the app, contacted them to see about exchanging it. There they told me oh, it's been less than a week. You need to go through the store. I called the store. There they tell me oh, since it's more than 48 hours, it's not on us. Contact the manufacturer and hung up on me. I spent $1400 in their store and this is the support they offer. I would not recommend buying anything from them. They didn't even offer to give me the number to contact the manufacturer, they basically said not our problem, look up the number to call yourself. read more

Customer service at this location is genuinely some of the worst I have ever received. This is not the first time I have waited for an associate for over 10 minutes after pressing the "request service" button. Today, there was an employee directly making eye contact with me while the message for help played over the intercom four times. Not only did this employee make no effort to help customers, they were quite literally doing nothing but staring at the shelfs. I had to walk up to a different employee at the checkout area to request help. After explaining the situation and asking for help, the employee at the register said noting but "yep" in a very rude tone. I then had to wait another five minutes for an associate. Lowe's in Scottsdale has a garden department that actually makes you want to plant something. Loads of healthy plants, fair prices, tidy aisles, and the place is impressively organised. Employees are hard to find sometimes. The parking lot is fine during the day, but it's still Arizona, so keep your valuables out of sight. For plants and potting soil, it's hard to beat. read more

I am five minutes from Lowes. Personnel wise the store is definitely better than it was for a number of years. Selection is fairly wide and good. Returns are quick and simple. When I know precisely what to get I am offered assistance. Most of the time I don't and am either invisible or not as interesting as the floor. If I have the time I go to a place on Country Club in Mesa. Employees at self checkout are excellent. My experience is the E McDowell store is better than other Lowes local locations. I mean, there are just some things you can't find elsewhere. I made three trips for a recent project. I made four in total but my last was to the other one because I went through all of the pumpkin orange krylon. I get anxiety or something these days having to interact with people. Many who direct me to the wrong place anyway. Which is what happened. I was on the website (which has issues) and knew the aisle and bay I was looking for. I must have looked lost because it was some crazy thing like aside W Bay 58 or something. The two chickies who were chatty asked "can wr help you find something" (or something of that nature) I tell them which aisle and they let me know it's the front wall. Maybe. Maybe it was, only the bays on the front wall were the odd ones or something.... I ended up finding what I was looking for by searching a similar product on the website. I'm not sure how prices compare but I do know it was $5 for paint & prime spray paint which I was not able to find at another popular store that has mostly everything. This rating is for delivery personnel (Kelan). We purchased a range from Lowe's (McDowell). The first delivery person could not "install", as they do not "install", they plug-in. Unknowing to us, the old stove was hard wired. This delivery person told us we would need to fix and reschedule. Which we did. Our new delivery time was between 1 and 5 p.m. I called twice about 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Both times I was told that the driver was on his way, and would arrive within an hour and an hour and a half. He was a no-show. I called the delivery center at 5:15 and was told that the delivery was cancelled. And, that the first driver/installer cancelled the order! So there was no range on the truck. (I had to purchase a new range. The sale was over and the range was about $100 more. The store honored my initial price.) On the third delivery, Kelan and Daniel came. I shared my delivery experience and frustration. Kelan was EXCELLENT, professional, patient, empathetic and compassionate. He is the only reason for this five star rating. I bought a adenium obesum aka Desert Rose. Once I got home to repot it, I noticed the potting mix that it was on was entirely really wet and then I saw there was a massive black split in the side of the root. Adenium obesum will try to create a hole or split itself open in order to push out excessive water. I had to cut half of the roots and the entire caudex was rotted due to overwatering. I managed to save it by cutting out the rotted areas and pruning the entire thing down. The brown powder is cinnamon to prevent the roots from getting bacterial infection. Hopefully it will later regrow healthy roots out again so I can plant it. If you plan to buy a Adenium obesum, inspect it before buying. Signs of root rotting is yellowing if the leaves and when squeezing the caudex it is very soft and mushy to the touch. This is maybe the result of the employees overwatering it. We are in the middle of the winter season so they shouldn't be watered that much maybe only 1 or 2 times but lightly. read more

This Lowe's is always clean, welcoming, and has a wide variety of items from holiday decor to wrench's to garden and everything in between. I've never had an issue purchasing here or with the staff. Prices are generally not over inflated. My only complaint is that they are frequently out of items. Boy a big deal as they usually get it back in stock soon. Garbage store, garbage return policy. Long story short- I ordered three sets of fancy holiday lights for my house ($50 each) and only needed two. Today is the day after Christmas and I finally am off and can return the unopened box. The return employee made a face and said they cannot accept any holiday lights. At first I thought she was kidding, as these are unopened- perfect condition with a receipt. Sadly she wasn't kidding. Listen- I understand policies- but Lowes long-standing policy is 90 days with receipt. I had no idea holiday lights could be any different. It's also worth noting that it's Monday, the day after Christmas. It's not February. Essentially if I returned them Saturday- it would be fine, but it's not ok because it is the day after Xmas. This level of stupidity is like federal govt level. I can appreciate they are protecting from shady people who want to rent Xmas lights- but this is ridiculous. these are brand new- unopened and perfect for sale next season. I am happy to spend money at a store that understands customer service. This is the kind of bullshit you can expect from Walmart, it shouldn't be happening here. If this is how they operate I will happily drive farther to Home Depot and spend my money there. At least common sense isn't a lost art there. read more

I go to this store because it's normally a quick in and out. Saturday I asked two different sales associates with help finding a product to which both of them told me they didn't have it and did not bother looking it up to see if they had it. I knew that they carried the product and I eventually found it on my own. This was super annoying. It was not even close to being busy and neither one of them carried at all to put forth any of effort to assist me. As a woman shopping alone it's ALWAYS a challenge to get a male employee to assist you but now it's near impossible. And if successful they're RUDE! A while back, I bough a washer from this store. Then we bought the extended warranty. In April, it stopped working. We filed a claim. They came out and said it needed a new control board and we had to wait a couple of weeks for it. They replaced it and it worked. Well, now it's stopped working again. Exact same symptoms. A filed a claim on 5/25. They scheduled a technician on 5/30. Then I get a not particularly civil text saying they (lowes plan people) don't do our scheduling, we'll come out on 6/2. Ok. I guess. Then I get a message on 5/31. They can't come out until best week. So I contacted the lowes protection plan people. They tell me no, someone will come service it today (5/31) or tomorrow(6/1). Well, I still haven't heard from anyone. So I contracted them again. 3 weeks to Come look at something they already "repaired" but is not working again seems kind of messed up. They basically told me sorry we can't help you, take it up with the company that does the actual repairs. What? So i said, fine, where do I file a complaint. I'd have a chance in the survey after my chat with them. Ok, send me to the survey so I can't start my complaint. What was her response? My chat was suddenly ended with no survey. I'm sure it was an "accident". If this is the way Lowe's backs the things they sell, I'm starting to think I should have gone elsewhere. Buyer beware, I guess. Went in to return something with receipt on 5/22 at 4:27pm at terminal 15 (I have receipt) . I had fallen in parking lot and my hand was slightly bleeding and abraded. There was a flower pot in middle of doorway that someone had dropped. I did I not see it as I was carrying in a box. The girl behind register was SO unfriendly and almost seemed angry that I was bothering her with a return. I asked her for a paper towel to put on my hand that was injured and she said, "We don't have anything up here"... she did not try to assist me in ANY way. If you know what you're doing and what you're getting you're fine but if you need help with anything/have questions you have an 85% chance of asking someone who has no idea what you're talking about, a 10% chance of asking someone who doesn't want to help, and a 5% chance of getting someone who is actually knowledgeable about the subject or willing to ask someone else for help. 95 minutes to get 3 30in pieces of wood bc the guy had no idea what he was doing.
