I've been shopping at Home Depots nonstop since 1992 and I just cannot recall the last time somebody went as far out of their way as he did to help me with something... I felt like I had to let people know about it... Thank you, James for going above and beyond to help me, especially with something that one could consider as trivial as my the problem I had.. but you didn't hesitate to ask me if there was something that you could help me with when you saw me wandering around looking like a lost puppy-and when I mentioned my silly little problem, you dropped everything and literally walked all the way across the store to the other side, just to try to help me, and it worked didn't it... Customer service is largely dead nowadays, so when someone sticks their head up and goes above and beyond, it really stands out... Today Rich helped me to fix a stubborn drawer that I have had problems with falling apart over and over again. I don't think it will ever fall apart again. He took the time to show me different options and before I knew it he fixed it! When I walk in this store, I don't know how they do it, but every person who works the front desk is always positive and helpful. I owned my own business and I know how hard it is to find excellent employees. This store nails it every time! I am greeted with a smile and always directed in the right direction and to the right person. Walter has helped me on several occasions with projects as well. I think everybody that works there is a true handy genius. I cannot say enough about the store. They have little things like different types of gifts and spices, And everything you need for handiwork. The lady that I worked with in the garden department to was overly knowledgeable during gardening season. The guy in the paint department is always working hard and is overly helpful. All I wanted was to buy the batteries and leave because I've changed them before but they insisted. First time they installed them backwards so I walked out to the car and walked back in. Then a second guy got involved and he said he's pretty sure there's a piece of paper that went between the batteries since they stack but that made ZERO sense to me! Anyway, they finally got it all back together and we went out and checked and sure enough the fob was good. Now don't take this all the wrong way because they were ALL super friendly and were all really trying to help! I wasn't mad or anything, they were all fun to watch and I enjoyed my visit! Plus the batteries were priced really good AND they installed them after all, that along with the show made it a good time. In addition they had the puffed nuggets with caramel that I used to get at Rock Springs and that made for a perfect day! Samantha works with Ferguson's headquarters in Virginia, inside sales representative that answers calls about plumbing and lighting. She doesn't give up trying to find me a hard to find uncommon part. I needed shortest length (1 foot) 3/8" double ended gas line connector, or 3/8" on one end and 3/8" mail FLARED end on the other end. Hardly anything uses 3/8", so Home Depot and Ace do not carry it, but Lowes did carry 3/8" but it was 36" long. I don't have room in my RV cabinet (to hook up RV fridge to run on propane) for all that hose. Samantha made several phone calls to manufacturers to find me that hose, but some manufacturers were not available. So she had to call me back next day. Well she never did call me back, so I assume she didn't find a 12" hose, but a friend had one in his garage, that he didn't need. I didn't even think they existed. If I had a company, I sure would be honored to have an employee like Samantha. I wish she could work for some of the property management companies that "aren't there for me" and give me horrid service, that I have to beat out of them.

This begs to be a safety risk for customers and your staff as no customer should need to touch one of your employees to actually be helped (yes being mindful of ADA) as this employee had no hearing problem and her response was WHAT and took both headphones out to answer.
