We are at Home Depot a lot. When we fixed our falling apart home ... we visited every day for a couple months. Lots of materials needed, lots of solid advice given. Now we are helping a friend fix their home. They don't always have every item we need, but the staff have helped me order what she needs. Gotta say, I really appreciate the advice. We found great flat ceiling lights- great! New sconces were perfect replacement of the broken ones, loads of light bulbs and lights for the can ceiling lamps. Bought a weed trimmer. Was told I had 6 weeks to try it. Found it was too big due to my arthritis. Called the store was told sure bring it in. I brought it back and was told sorry new policy 7 days max. As people were returning gas items after one use. I told them I just was not able to use this heavy trimmer, sorry they said try byong a 40v. So after leaving called and talked to Rob the store Manger. Told him what I had gone though. I just want to say that the staff I interacted with at the HD in White Lake, MI. was fantastic! Leah in customer service/returns was so helpful and courteous. Jaired ( correct spelling I believe) went above and beyond. I had lost my tape measure one day in his department and a day or two later found and returned to me! Impressive! Great employee and always helping customers out! Lastly, a cheerful, out-going woman in paint helped me out and matched some paint for me. I forget her name but dark hair and attractive. First off, being a woman shopping in a Home Depot is not always the best experience, especially when you're by yourself. However, this particular Home Depot has such an amazing vibe and staff. I've only had good experiences here with knowledgeable workers and over all very fun/nice people. I love seeing so many women work here and it really just makes coming to a home depot a fun and even exciting experience. I never thought I'd say I have a "favorite" Home Depot. This review is not in regards to the overall quality of the cub cadet riding lawnmower that I purchased, in fact, I have not yet had a chance to either inspect the lawnmower or to even start it up, but is instead solely in regards to the so-called "free delivery" that was offered in-store. Garage door was open when driver arrived with me outside. Delivery person dropped palletized item off in driveway and did not offer to assist with removing item from pallet or even to assist with moving palletized item into garage (and, to be fair to the delivery driver, this may have been beyond his scope of responsibility). Additionally, there was no prior communication from Home Depot that indicated that the item would even be arriving crated/palletized, therefore I was unaware that I was going to need additional tools in order to get the item off the crate/pallet and into my garage. Had to spend an additional $150 in tools, including a reciprocating saw and spent over three hours (including the time spent to go out to purchase the additional tools) trying to get the item off of the pallet in the freezing cold (it was 6 degrees f with the windchill). Very unsatisfied with the level of customer service. Also, was not expecting a literal semi truck to be making the delivery to a residence on a busy main street. It would have been a far better & cheaper option for me to have rented a truck and brought the riding mower home myself than to have utilized the advertised "free delivery", and I would have done so if Home Depot had better communicated beforehand what the process was going to involve. read more

Rich really went above and beyond on Sunday Dec 2nd. My wife and I were in shopping for paint air filters vent covers. A little bit of everything the one thing my wife wanted was the brown burlap tree skirts. We couldn't find the display They had previously and he thought they were sold out he took some time to search other stores which were out of stock. We told him we would come back Later to see if they located any. As we were checking out at uscan one of the other workers walked up handed us a tree skirt and thanked us for being loyal shoppers and to have a merry Christmas. If your planning on coming here for Flooring and expect to have it installed, RUN AWAY! If they have a company come measure check their reviews first. You will be surprised what the people in Atlanta will allow their installation companies to put you through. Taken the better part of a week off work to get 3 small bedrooms carpeted. each day I wait for them to arrive each day a new excuse. so far: Sick on day one car broke down on day two by 5 hours after the scheduled time of my 3rd appointment and only because I called corporate did they even notice that my installer never showed up for for that day. tomorrow is day 4 Will I get my install? these are the people Home Depot contracts to enter our homes. I bet if the guys in Atlanta were hiring someone for work and saw these reviews they would keep on looking, but for us they say, good enough. read more

I'm done with Home Depot and Finn Star Delivery Service. Ordered a dryer last week. The website indicated the first delivery date was two days later, then at checkout pushed it back to six days out. Delivery took place this morning, and I'm beyond frustrated. Let's start by saying they give a 12 hour window. Luckily, they showed up early though. I paid for parts and installation, yet I have a dryer in my laundry room that I cannot use because they really screwed up my vent. The dryer sticks out 15" from the wall and they dented the connector part of the vent that is attached to my wall, and they completely failed to install the dryer. See photos. I contacted HD customer service while the guys were still here, and they're reaching out to the store manager. I cannot take another day off work to have these incompetent delivery guys from Finn come back out to do more damage. Fail!!! read more

Curbside pick up is horrible - takes forever even when I am the only pick up. When I called after sitting here for quite sometime there was a lady in order pickup talking to her coworker about how I have only been waiting for 3 minutes (I Overheard this on the phone)when in fact it probably shows that on here order device because I checked in a second time since nobody came out after 15 minutes the first time... while writing this review I am still waiting for my order.... read more

Overall, I like this location. I've needed paint, lawn care items, all the usual items from Home Depot. The paint counter is always great, even on the busy weekends when there is a bit of a line. We ordered our washer and dryer from this location and the delivery date was very flexible which made the whole process of moving into our new house less stressful. The only improvements I would make would be to have the staff a little more organized at the Pro Desk and Customer Service. The last time we were there, we rented one of the insulation blowing machines to add some insulation to our attic. My SO stood at the Pro Desk, where he could see the machine behind the counter, for 15 minutes while I went and got paint.... And the cashier working next to it never bothered to tell him that no one works the desk on the weekends. There are also no hours posted so you could read this for yourself. So we wait in line to talk to her and pay for our paint and insulation, only to find out we had to get it from the customer service desk. We go there, get all set and have to wait in line again to get the machine. Ugh. Luckily cashiers don't normally take so long, they seemed to be short on help and while the cashier was very friendly, she was slow as hell. On June 22, 2019 I purchased a John Deer E100 42' W/a Bagger total cost$2,064.88. Within the the 2 week the belt broke that drives the cutting blade, I had noticed a small drop of oil on the floor of my garage so I place some cardboard underneath it now it a very large stop, yesterday as I was cutting my grass I noticed its flashing SCV, it only has 7.5 hours of use on the mower. The store lacks in custom service 100% . I was told I need to call John Deer and bring my mower to Home Depot, the store manager was talking to his associates, I ask about the return policy he stated 30 days , I have seen people bring back paint with half gone and got a full refund. This will be the last time I shop at Home Depot your CUSTOMERS SERVICE SUCKS, think twice about buying and large ticket items from Home Depot. They were very happy to sell me a $ 2000 item but not help me service it, I will tell everyone I know about this and I will be writing a story on face book about your lack of concern. Cashiers are very slow! I waited in line forever! Most of the staff working on the floor are very helpful! But some do not have a clue where anything is and send me on a wild goose chase searching for the bathroom! Not only did he tell me the wrong way but he yelled at me because I asked because I was lost, it would be nice if they could walk me to where I need to be, Looking for stuff with me instead of just telling me and spending extra time looking when they're supposed to know, 2/5 for my experience today. read more

The workers at this home depot are very clueless on where the items are in this store. Some of them however do know where they are going and what products to recommend. Maybe they are not trained well enough? Last week I had to load my own garden needs such as 40 lbs of manure and a few heavy lawn ornaments. They however did not ask me if I needed help, unless they are being trained not to do that. Today there was about 1-2 people in the lawn and garden section. I feel like more are needed to do the job of 1 Person who actually knows the location of the store, but overall this store is OK in everything else that it has to offer, the help could be trained better to "help" costumers. read more

I went to this store over Lowe's (which is closer) only because I do order online from HD often--they have a nice selection, and I have never had an issue--and I saw online they had the gift I was ordering available for store pick-up. Since I was there, I decided to grab softener salt and a couple of things I needed and generally get at Lowe's. First: at the pick-up counter, they had me sign and then tried to give me an item that had obviously been returned, with a tattered, opened, box. When I stated this was for a gift, and would like an unopened one, the employee seemed annoyed and told me they only open it to make sure it isn't broken when ordered online. I knew this wasn't true because I have the item and know it comes wrapped in clear protective wrap inside, which this one was not. Regardless, I just said, that would be fine if it was for me but it is a gift and I wanted a box that wasn't in that poor shape and not opened. I had to wait quite a long time for them to bring me one, even though I offered to go myself. Second (worse): I purchased 4, 40 lb, bags of salt. I didn't see them so I asked the guy at the end of the checkouts, who was standing there chatting with another employee, where they were. He said, "down by the other registers there", pointed, and went back to chatting. I could see them where he was pointing, they were up high on a metal shelf by the wall. I am a five foot tall, rather small, girl. He not only didn't offer to help me, he watched me, stretch to yank one I could barely grab that almost knocked me over, and stretching trying to get another, without luck. Only then did he come down and offer to get the other bags for me. He put them in my cart and didn't offer to help get them in the car. Truth--if I hadn't already wasted so much time there because of the first incident and had somewhere to be, I would have demanded a refund for everything and went to Lowe's. Ridiculous. read more

This past weekend I came here with my fiancé and my daughter to go grill shopping for my 26th birthday,we went to Walmart first and they didn't have a great selection. Upon walking into the home depot we were greeted and directed to the grille section. A man helped us out tremendously on finding the right grill for me. We then went outside to see the grills they had up front in display. After a lot of looking I chose the dynaglo 5 burner with a side burner gas grill for $179.99. We got the grill unchained and proceeded to get our propane tank and head to the check out register, since I don't own a truck I had to manually transport the grill about a quarter mile to my nearby home. Once I got home I set up the tank and turned all the burners on high to clean the grill and make sure there was no leaks. After about 20 minutes I went back to check on my new grill only to find that 2 out of 5 burners were actually working properly. I was so disappointed. I looked up troubleshooting procedures and did all that I could find with no luck. So I then called home depot back and they told me to bring it back so I can get it replaced. So I had to drag this thing allll the way back to home depot...great...I get there to the return desk and they find out that the main propane line was bent at a 90° angle and that's what caused the problem. They call a man named Tom to the front to assist me. He cam up and introduced himself to me and I followed him back outside. After talking for a while he said they would give me another grill and to choose one. I wanted the same grill, but I asked if they could hook up propane to it so I didn't have to walk the grill all the way back to my house. He couldn't believe me. "You walked this all the way here?" Yes I did....twice. "let me call my manager" 10 minutes later he said he was so sorry and they were gonna give me the grill for another $25 off! Then he asked me if I could wait 20 minutes so he could get a brand new grill in the box and help him lod it into his truck, he got off work at that time and offered to take the grill and me home. Wow! Customer service at its finest! Thank you Tom, and thank you home depot for making my birthday awesome. I'll recommend anyone to this location, and go see Tom in home and garden! read more

Worst customer cabinet order. I order cabinets and crown molding. The corner cabinets that I received were not bumped out (Like an over range microwave cabinet). Without the bumped-out cabinets one cannot join the crown molding. One should realize that you must use the Home Depot Designer before you can order custom cabinets. It was clearly communicated to the designer that we want to order enough crown molding to mount to all the cabinets. We then identified which cabinets will need finished ends to mount the molding. So, with that Home Depot knew we were going to mount crown molding. The designer did not order the bumped-out cabinets. So, they knew during the design crown molding will be mounted onto the cabinets. I order the crown molding on the same order. We did not get the cabinets we ordered. I am very proficient at installing Crown molding. Identifying that the molding could not be mounted, I hired a cabinet maker to come look at the cabinets- he looked at said "you have the wrong cabinets, there is no bump out. You need for the corner cabinets to have a bump out. I called Home Depot and made an appointment to speak to the Assistant Manager. The Assistant says "So you need advice on how to hang crown molding?" I said No, I know how to hang molding. These two corner upper cabinets are wrong. I hired Ace woodworking to estimate the cost of installation. Ace said I can't mount molding to those corner cabinets they don't have a bump out. Then I showed the Assistant Manager the pictures. I said the order is wrong. There is no bump out to accept the crown molding at the corners. He said "what do you want me to do? I said replace the cabinets. He said I can't do that because you have a custom order. I said yes, this is not what I ordered. The Assistant Manager then said "well you could buy a piece of chair molding and piece that in." I said "If I wanted a half-assed patch in solution I could have bought cabinets off the shelf at half the cost. He said well that's my solution. I said that's not acceptable, look at the pictures-Tell me how to mount the crown. Take me to any of your floor displays and show me this type cabinet / crown molding. HE couldn't. I said you sell thousands of home repair books-show me one book that shows how to mount crown with no bump outs. He would not walk back to the floor display area. I then said OK here's a suggestion, I will pay your installers to come to the house and inspect the cabinets and install the crown. If they come back and say that the crown can't be attached, then you replace the cabinets and install them. He said I can't do that. I said "You mean, you won't" There is a difference. So, your saying this order is correct and crown molding can be mounted but you won't take the word of your own contractors? OK I live 10 minutes away come to my home, look at the cabinets and shown me how to install the crown. He wouldn't. At that point he said there is nothing I can do. I wrote Home Depot Corporate Office with a letter of complaint. The Home Office referred me back to the store manager. He said the same thing as the Assistant Manager. Except the store manager was rude, condescending. After explaining the whole thing, he kept asking "What do you want me to do, I'll buy the crown molding back?" That's your answer? What solution do I seek? I said I feel that any of the following solutions are acceptable: 1: show me how your mount molding with cabinets that have no bump out? 2. Have your installers or YOU come to my house and show me how to do it-you can't because the lack of a bump out cabinet, I will pay for the service call. If you can't mount the molding, then replace the cabinets. 3. I will pay your contractor to install the molding. If they can't - then replace the cabinets The Store Manager, asked me again "What do you want me to do?" I said Stop playing the customer service act, --I worked in retail and that question of "What do you want me to do?" is asked by management as a tactic to place the solution back onto the customer in hopes that the customer will get frustrated and take a cheaper solution or just leave. Then the manager started taking phone calls and walking away. When he did finally hang up, I said I made a 30-minute appointment to talk to you. I gave you respect and courtesy of asking for this appointment. I would like to see you refer your calls elsewhere and take care of me, I was here first. Stop playing these games with me. He asked again, what do you want me to do? I said make it right. I gave you three reasonable recommendations and you refuse to provide a solution and you refuse to accept what I think are reasonable solutions. The Manager started to walk away, where are you going? He said I have another call, I was furious, disrespected and angry. I said well I guess I will reach back to the Home Depot Corporate Office. The Manager said go ahead. read more

Really disappointed in my experience here the other day..... After coming in 3 times to have keys re-cut and still not working an older gentlemen on the 3rd time filed our only original key and now even that one doesn't work anymore. When I came to return them and ask what they would be able to do to fix this I was told "you made a mistake you should've gone to Aco anyways, they're machine is better than ours." I now have to replace all of the locks in my house because they ruined the only original key I had. So apparently if you need keys don't go here then won't be helpful and will be rather rude about your decision to trust them to make new keys. read more
