This used to be the place to go for almost anything...they were helpful, insightful and very customer centric. Now, they are TERRIBLE. I bought a mower there within the last 10 years, have had it serviced there and when I went in last week looking for replacement wheels, guy asks me the model number, can't help me without a model number. So I go home, call them with the model number..it's been 7 days and haven't heard a thing. Meanwhile I get the distributors number and order the wheels directly through them...got them Saturday. W&B is useless and I'll never use them again. read more

Unfriendly and insulting when I came in. I bought a replacement chain for my saw. It came off after 3 minutes of use. They said it was my fault and were unhelpful and insulting, both John and Tom. They said my chainsaw was broken and dangerous. I was in the middle of a job, so I bought one of their Echo saws. Tom said "why don't you staple the instructions to that big forehead of yours so you don't break this one." Wow...really? I just spent $209 in your store and this is what you choose to say to me? Well, the new saw works great, but I will NEVER set foot in that store again, unless it it is to say F you, too, Tom, ya prick. I see you responded to my fair review. Tom, you are a liar. Be very careful when dealing with W & B !!!. They have been pirates for many many years, definitely putting MONEY before the customer. They are arrogant and could care less about you. They have been screwing the local people for years and if it wasn't for the Landscape, Plow folks dealing with W&B, I'm sure they would have been gone long ago. They were quite rude here. The guy there gave me one and only one option for tuning-up my snow blower. He interrupted me many times when I was trying to tell him about my dilemma, and kept telling me that my facts were wrong, even though all I was saying was how the snow blower was only one season old. Very unfriendly to me and unwelcoming as soon as I asked if there was any way to budge on the price. He said I was welcome to leave (exact words) and have it repaired elsewhere, but he guaranteed me I would be back... I guarantee you, I won't. The guy even yelled at me as I was leaving because he thought I had mumbled something about him (I didn't) and was ready to fight about it. Very unprofessional, and very disconcerting. Actually, I just finished the repair myself (a tune-up job that took me 20 minutes, which he wanted to charge me no less than $165 for). Won't be returning. read more

I wrote a review of Wheels & Blades 2 months ago, of how I was not pleased with the service or cost I had to pay to have my zero turn lawn mower repaired. Yesterday i received a phone call from Wheels & Blades about my review. Bottom line the representative told me i had lied about my service. I asked him, if his intention was to be argumentative, he told me no. But continued to say I lied about my review. I informed him the conversation was over and hung up. I checked reviews today to see the rep rep posted a response saying I lied. To that I would ask you what does this tell you about there customer service actions. Please look at all the reviews that have been posted. There is a high percentage of former customers who will not return to Wheels & Blades. I took my wheel horse tractor to this company for an engine rebuild. I was charged $825.00 which I thought was fair. After 1 year ( about 11 hours of use per season ) the motor started to burn oil. Now after 3 years the motor smokes so bad that I had to scrap out my beloved tractor. The motor was more Glued back together rather than correctly rebuilt. Live and learn read more

Unless you're spending a lot of money or have spent a lot of money here expect to be treated like crap! I went in at the end of the day to get a spark plug for a John Deere Tractor I knew the model and told the useless guy at the counter what I needed, he looked at me like I was crazy and said "Do you have the old one?" I said no I also need the tool to take it out, he said I don't know what one it is if you don't have it with you, that is a load of crap, they have all kinds of books, needless to say I walked out with nothing and will never go back, when I got home I looked on my I phone and found 3 different brands and the numbers of spark plugs that will fit it, I worked in a garden center for years and would bend over backwards to find a customer something I know we have, if they had less than 1 star I would have given them that. read more

hese guys are some arrogant pr&*ks and rude too. They have always been on the $$$$ side but I stopped in there yesterday to pick up some 10W-30 and a few spark plugs. Get this, when I went to pay for the items they told me that I would have to use cash or a Debit card if I did not want to pay the 4.5% Credit Card usury fee that Visa charges the retailor for each transaction. That means YOU pay for the privilege of using your Visa to pay for the items. It gets tacked on the invoice. That is the very first time I have ever heard of some thing like this. When I asked the cashier why this was he told me that the owner of the business "got tired" of paying those fees so he passed them off to us their customers. It's even posted at the cash register!!!! Now how many of you don't use a Credit Card? Not here you won't! This is some real bull*&^t. You know what? In all of my 20 years that I've lived here I haven't been in there but 4-5 times because of their reputation but even then they have managed to p^*s me off for the last time. For the very few 4-5 star and VASTLY MORE 1 star reviews here on yelp, I don't know how they can't chase customers away. One more 1 Star! read more

The service from Wheels and Blades is outstanding. Last winter, I had shredded a newspaper in my two-stage snowblower. It was the day of a major storm. Within 4 hours, they had picked up my snowblower, fixed it and returned it to me at a reasonable price. It just doesn't get any better than this. Had my mower picked up by this group for a tune up and other items. They charged $85 and I live less than 2 miles away. The estimate was more than the mower is worth so I asked them to return it. I also asked for a concession on the p/u and delivery fee, but the arrogant staff member told me no. They returned the unit to my house disassembled. I spent two hours putting it back together. I'll buy a few more mowers in my lifetime, but not from W&B, and I'll drive further for service, too. read more

Run fast and don't look back. Took my riding lawn mower in to see if they could start it. It worked fine the year before. One week later I called to see if they looked at it and was told Where to I begin, you need a new lawnmower. Everything is wrong with it, the belts, motor, blades etc.:" So I asked what I need to do he said..."Well, hopefully buy one from us." I decided to go up there in person and I was very upset. The owner was extremely mean and talked down to me. He said he could start it, but would not since it was a safety hazard. Since he was sued once before, he would not release the mower to me. I ended up getting the bagger system and left. He stated some young man that had disabilities would get it to take it apart. It was not a hazard...I just want to get it started. I recently took my lawnmower in there for an oil change, filter and blade sharpening;estimate was $90. After paying $145 to pick mower up I found the new blade I was required to buy was not the same type mulching blade they replaced. And they only put in enough new oil to get to the add oil line on the dip stick. This penny pinching at the customers expense shows what a nickel and dime operation this company is. My husband took are big dog diablo zero turn 60 inch mower two wheels and blades and we are incredibly pleased. The main issue with the mow was the battery was not charging. We ask that they give the mower a once-over. and perform maintenance on it as well. Phil was the main technician working on the mower and he unearthed a bunch of other problems that would have potentially caused issues this mowing season. We had originally bought the mower used and thought that it was quite powerful but after wheels and blades worked on that mower, we found it to be even more powerful. my husband laughed and says that the mower "gets up and dances now". We're very thankful for the knowledgeable technicians and would definitely recommend wheels and blades to everyone. Thanks again. read more

RUDE..I brought a string trimmer and Stihl chainsaw in for a basic clean and tune-up. The woman at the counter (who didn't bother to greet me in any way) acted mad that I even brought them in, and went off about getting parts..all this without saying hello, or even asking why I brought them in. I tried to explain that the tool runs, and only needs new spark plug, fuel lines, and a good carb cleaning. The owner (Tom) came to look at it and (again, without any greeting, questions or dialogue) said "I'm gonna pass" This was easily one of the WORST customer experiences I've ever had. To be treated like I was inconveniencing them by trying to give them my money! Funny how Tom was Mr. Nice Guy 2 weeks ago when I bought a $500 chainsaw from them. Full retail price, of course.. Thanks. These folks repaired and returned my ZTR quickly. I ran it once, put it away for a week then tried to start it and it wouldn't start! I called them and they picked it up repaired it and returned it the same day. No charge even though the problem was a sheared flywheel key. This was a new problem and not anything related to what was previously repaired. I even offered to pay and they graciously declined. I will continue doing business with them. Thanks again. read more

Very poor customer service and lack of communication with the customer. I dropped off my lawnmower on a Friday and asked if they could tell me what is wrong with it. I was told that they were swamped and would not get a chance to look at it. They would call and let me know what was wrong. By Wednesday I had not received a call back so I called. A woman answered the phone and proceeded to tell me they were not going to call unless the price exceeded the amount that was quoted. I informed her that I was never quoted a price. She said your service ticket says a tune up ranging from $125 to $150. I informed her I never received a service ticket, only a white tag with a number. There was no time during the conversation that she even attempted to listen at all. She proceeded to argue with me about me knowing what the quote was & having the service ticket. I just wanted her to understand that I never received it. I had no idea of the amount until I spoke with her. In summary, I advised her that I didn't want any work done on my lawnmower and I would be in to pick it up. Just horrible service, disregard for the customer, poor listening skills. I will be sure to spread the word about this establishment. read more

My husband recently brought in a part to our 20 year old snow thrower to see if they could order it. They could but it was a bit more than we wanted to spend on such an old snow thrower. The owner (I believe he said it was) took the part in the back and came back out with it fixed! My husband was so happy that he didn't have to call me and try to talk me into a new snow thrower. I mean this right there tells you what type of business this place is... honest! My husband and I have already decided once we are in a new house in the fall that we will definitely come back to this place for our lawn ( and snow if needed) needs! Really busy operation so make sure you have plenty of time to get something fixed. For an extra charge they will pick up your lawn mower, snow blower, etc. to fix it and return it to you. read more

They sharpened chains for me and repaired a snow blower. They did a good job on the snow blower but it took them a while to get to it. It was the same with the chain saw chains. I had to come back because they had either misplaced them or did not do them. Then they forgot I had paid for the service already. read more
